“Holy shit!” she exclaimed, as she dropped the amulet, again. The amulet was the answer to reading the codex? That was great! She’d just go home, and write that into her story! Gem stopped as realization grabbed her attention. And, then, anger raised its ugly head!

And, that anger blurred her vision! Jaxx was in such trouble! She knew, for a fact, now, that none of it had been a dream! Still, her thoughts were jumbled as she wondered how he had managed to rebuild the house, and put everything back the way it was! She shook her head, again, because that was totally ridiculous. Then, her brain scrambled, again. No matter what, she was going to rip him a new one! She slammed the book shut, put it back, then she and Lola went back to the truck after locking the library doors. Just as she stepped into the truck, her vision blurred. It was like looking at the world that was drawn in chalk. Now, where was it that she had seen it before? Her brain felt like scrambled eggs. A light bulb appeared over her head. She looked up at it.

“Right! The chalk drawings were on the sidewalk!” She remembered a woman, man, and two children jumping through it! Then, she had jumped through after them. “No, that’s not right. It was a movie! That’s it! Now, what was it called?” She tapped her head. Then, another light bulb appeared above her head. She grinned at it, and said, “Thanks! It was Mary Poppins!”

The blurry vision passed, and again, her face crinkled up in total anger. Her plans had changed. Suddenly, the speed of the truck was excessive through the town as she sped straight to the Montgomery Mansion. And, she was there in almost an instant.

  “Wow! Cool!” she murmured.

She rolled down the window, and pushed the button.

“Yes?” Yep, that was his voice! Good!

  “Professor?” Gem demanded.

  “Who is this?” he asked.

“It’s Gem Elwood, you bastard! Open the damn gates – now!” she ordered.

  Immediately the gates swung open.

“Good thing he did it, or I would just have to go through my wormhole!”

She didn’t waste time, so, she picked up her adorable and cute little truck, Lola, to the front door. When she got there, she wasted no time using the knockers. They were really, really big knockers!

“Gee, what big knockers you have,” she muttered to the doors to the really, really big castle.

Finally, the massive doors swung open, and she stalked inside, brushing past the knight in shining white armor, who opened them. She whirled to face the knight, her blurry vision returning. When it cleared, Jaxx stood there.

“OK! What the hell is going on?” she demanded, as Lola leaped out of her arms! Gem balled her fists as they settled on either side of her hips.

“Excuse me?” Jaxx asked. “Is there something you wanted, Ms. Elwood?”

Why the hell did he act as if he didn’t know her that well.

“Ms. Elwood? You call me Gem, so don’t give me that! And, stop trying to change the subject! I don’t know how the hell you did it, but I’ll be damned if you think you’ll pull the sheep’s wool over my eyes!”

The Professor looked at her in puzzlement.

“You know exactly what I mean! I just came from my house, so how did you rebuild my house exactly the same, replace the same furniture, fixing my truck, and everything else you did? So, just how the hell did you manage that? And, don't even think about lying!”

“Excuse me, Ms. Elwood, but I really don’t know what you are talking about, Ms Elwood. Would you mind explaining what you are doing in my home, Ms. Elwood?”

The blurred vision hit her again, and for a moment, she thought maybe she was asleep, and all of this was a dream, but there was no denying the necklace with the amulet was still around her neck, and that it was his undoing. She took the few steps that brought her almost up against his body. His tall, lean, hard body. Why was he wearing his armor without his helmet? His scent was almost more than she could take, but Gem wasn’t going to give into his obvious desire for her...uh, her desire for him….

“Yeah. You know where you went wrong?” she pulled her necklace out waving it at him. “This! This is what you didn’t count on, you jerk!”

He frowned, as he realized that the amulet was….

“NO! It can’t be!” he whispered. “What the fuck are you doing with that thing?”

“I KNEW it! I knew it! You are a jerk! How in the hell did you do it?”

She reached out and tried to push him, but he didn’t move. All he could do was stare at the amulet.

  “Shit!” he said.

“Y’a got it boody! You are in deep, dank sheepish!” Gem slurred back at him. She didn’t even notice. “Whach made y’a tank you cood’a get away whis it?”

“Actually, it was pretty easy,” he said, grinning, but his voice sounded like a pre-programmed robot.

In fact, Jaxx's body almost resembled a steel post in his armor. If Gem had to use a word for him, she would call him a “stiff”! Ha! That was just so funny! After a few minutes, he began to look like a mannequin. She poked his right cheek. It felt like he was made of wax!

“Jaxx?” she asked in surprise. No answer came. “Jaxx!”

Again, no answer. What the hell was going on? Her eyelids began to droop, and her vision became even more blurry than it had earlier. She was suddenly, so damn sleepy! Gem had no idea what to do, but finally, she walked past the “stiff” to the sofa, and lay down. She’d just sleep a few minutes, then maybe she could figure out what was happening.

“Lola, come here,” she said, turning her head.

But, Lola was frozen – just like Jaxx. Trying to get up, Gem failed miserably. Her last conscious thought was that everything seemed to be a sketch, and was in black and white. With that, her head fell back on the sofa, her eyes closed, and she slept.

Death, darkness – and cold surrounded her. It was just too hard to fight against the sleep that had taken her. Gem’s desire was so strong not to wake, it was like swimming upward in an ocean. One could just see the light, but could never quite reach it – and the urge to give up, and let the depths take you deeper was beckoning her to let go, and sink into its cold, dark arms below forever. Slowly, Gem forced her eyelids open. Looking around, Gem realized she had fallen asleep in the shower! Blinking, it took her a couple of minutes to realize that this was the real world, while the other world had been the dream. She shook her head in anger. Seriously? What fate made her have a dream that wasn’t real, but felt real, only to wake up in another world that was real, but felt as if it wasn’t? She doubted anyone would be able to follow her train of thought on that one – including herself!

She hopped up, then dropped back down on Jaxx's giant, twenty-foot bed. Her mind wandered to why Jaxx would even need a twenty-foot bed? Unless he had company. Maybe multiple company in it?

“OK. Ewwww,” Gem muttered wrinkling her nose, she looked at the bed, again.

Shaking her head, she realized that it wasn’t a twenty-foot bed, but it was a king bed. Why was she even wondering about how many women had been in this bed – his bed – in the first place? What had happened between them – well, almost happened – again – came back to her. Her womb and channel clenched tightly as she remembered how she had felt his cock enter her opening. Her body released liquid excitement just thinking about it! And then, she remembered that he had become angry at something he had heard, dressing faster than she had seen anyone dress. He had actually told her to stay in the bed, just before he ran from the room!

Whatever his reason, she sighed. Right. Sure. She was going to stay in the bedroom without Jaxx making love to her! She needed him more desperately than before he left! If he thought she would follow his rules, he had another thing coming!

Standing, she looked around the room, noticing that the walls were Mahogany – at least that was her “guestimation”. Antique furniture dotted the room. A wardrobe, a Highboy chest, and a Bombay dresser with an extremely ornate mirror, hanging on the wall above it. The hardwood floor was covered with a salm
on colored oriental rug with intricate flowers and leaves, scroll work, and a medallion in the center in a multitude of beautiful colors. The ceiling was obviously hand-carved, and laced in scroll work, flowers, and leaves. Her eyes lowered, again, and she saw three doors to the room. One to the right of the bed on the opposite wall; two on the opposite wall from the foot of the bed – one of which led to the bathroom, and the other to the closet.

Gem decided that she needed a shower – for therapeutic reasons! She was so damned aroused, she tried everything she could think of for release! She used her own fingers to pleasure herself, even using her imagination as if they were his. But, no amount of fast movement helped. In fact, it made her worse! She needed hard – very hard! She grabbed the hand-held shower head, sat down, and turned it to a stream. Leaning back against the backrest built into the shower, she let the stream hit her clit, as she imagined Jaxx’s pumping cock inside her!

“Harder, Jaxx! Harder!” she cried aloud to her imaginary Jaxx. She was panting and feeling her excitement soar with the water flooding her sex. The position of the water slammed harder onto her clit, until she felt her climax. In truth, her channel continued to clench and throb, and she had several climaxes, which even made her pee a little bit, but at least she had some sort of short-term release!

“Yep! That did the trick – for a while, anyway!” Gem murmured to herself.

When she stepped out of the shower, she poked her head into his almost certain that Jaxx would be waiting for her. But, he, still, hadn't returned to the bedroom.

“Hmph!” she muttered angrily, and stomped back into the bathroom to dry her hair.

Gem walked to the large, gilt framed mirror that hung over the two sinks, which were sitting atop a solid, green marble top over a white cabinet. Jaxx had already made sure that one of the sinks was hers. Many products adorned the cabinet for her, exclusively, along with everything a woman would need for face and hair. She really blushed when she saw a box of her favorite tampons sitting on top of the counter! She had never even let her Dad see her feminine hygiene products let alone anyone else! But, to think that Jaxx knew her brand was overwhelming, until she realized that he had probably asked Taylor. Damn her! Breathing deeply, Gem just sighed. Well, there was no getting away from that embarrassment, then realized that an adult male should know what women use. Periods were not exactly a secret in this day and age. She was just glad hers wasn’t due for the next three weeks! Hopefully, she’d get some action before then! She grinned at herself in the mirror.

After toweling her hair dry, she picked up the blow-dryer, and began to dry her hair. While she was drying it, her mind wandered. The heat from Jaxx's body as he lay on top of hers, had scorched hers. Gem took another deep breath as she remembered the luscious smell of his male body. Clean, musky, and all male. Gem took another breath, then another, drugging her senses with his scent. It was as if her sense of smell had suddenly become even more acute. And, his was everywhere!

Gem heard what sounded like a scratching noise at the door to the bedroom, and she slowly walked toward it! He can't even walk into his own fucking room?

“WTF?” Gem whined. What a bastard! That was it! Gem stormed toward the door when she heard another sound out in the hall. She stopped. Listening, the noise came again. Hmmm. Jaxx wouldn’t scratch! So, she opened the door carefully, her eyes widening in surprise as she saw who was standing in front of her! Her two bags and Lola were sitting outside the door. Looking up and down the massive, and long, hallway that extended in each direction, Gem saw no one. She turned her head to look at Lola again. But, who had brought her case? She stared back at Lola with narrowed eyes.

“Lola? Did you bring...? But, how did you get here?” Her eyes wide, she added, “Oh, for goodness sakes, Gem! Of course, Lola didn't bring the suitcase!” Shaking her head, Gem, said to no one, “Who's the jackass now?”

She stepped outside into the hallway, grabbed her bag, and darted back into the room, allowing Lola to follow her. She shut, and locked the door. She had to get dressed. The urgency in Jaxx's voice convinced her of the rush.

Plopping one of her bags on the bed, she opened it. Her workout clothes were in it along with several pairs of jeans that she had bought after the fire. A few light sweaters, panties, bras, and socks as well. The other bag held her makeup, toothbrush, and other toiletries. She was definitely going to have to thank Taylor. She looked down at Lola.

“OK. Lola. I'd better get dressed before Jaxx comes back, right?”

Lola cocked her head sideways, and it seemed to Gem that Lola gave a slight nod. There were so many ridiculous ideas running through her head, Lola was just one more weirdness that she just didn't need right now. Later, then. Right now, she knew she had to get dressed and get down to the library. No matter what Jaxx had told her, there was no way she was not going to go find out what was happening. From her case, Gem chose a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a Kelly green sweater. She reached in to grab a pair of matching green panties, when her eyes saw the blue velvet case. Huh. Taylor must have found it in her bedside table. She lovingly picked it up, and turned it back and forth, the dream puzzling her even further. She didn’t need the amulet to read the glyphs, of course, so why did her dream suggest that she did? On a whim, she took it out of the box, and put it around her neck. Then, turned, she pulled out her makeup, applied it, pulled her sweater over her head, then put on a pair of high-top black boots that easily went over her jeans. Gem turned, and left the bedroom with Lola's tiny little legs scampering quickly to keep up with her pet. The carpeted staircase rendered their footsteps silent, and the two started to walk lightly down them. As they got closer to the library, they heard several loud voices. Stopping to look at Lola, who looked back at her, Gem shrugged, then they continued down even more carefully. She and Lola tried to be as quiet as possible. When they reached the last stair, the voices were really angry all the way around. She heard Jaxx's voice accompanied by Taylor's. And, yep. That was also Rick, Stan, and even Stacey. But, there were other voices that she had never heard before, and that made her tiptoe to the sliding pocket door that closed the library from the living room. Lola came to a stop at her feet, and pressed her ear to the door. Looking down at Lola, she placed her own ear to the door. Raising her eyebrows. She couldn't catch every word. She needed to open the doors just a tiny bit. Quietly, she slid the doors apart just enough for both she and Lola to finally hear everything that was being said.

“What the fuck are they doing here, Jaxx? And, for the love of the Creator, how did they get in here, Jaxx?” Taylor demanded. “You warded the property against them, didn’t you?”

“I did. But, I forgot one important thing. However, I intend to take care of that right now!” Jaxx said.

“Uh-uh-uh!” Delinear wagged her index finger back and forth at him. “You will hear us out first.”

“And what, exactly, makes you think that I will listen to you?”

“Can’t say I blame him, either! What a bitchy...bitch!” Gem thought

“Because, you are our enforcer, and you have an to the Council, and as I am the overseer of the Onaerris, and your superior, I can demand anything I wish from you!” an unknown male voice said.

“Enforcer? What the hell does that mean?” Gem asked. So intent was she trying to figure that out, she realized that the voices were becoming even angrier. She had become distracted, and lost her place in the drama unfolding in front of her. “Oh, hell! Get your head in the game, Gem!” she admonished herself, then she listened carefully – well, as carefully as one could listen through doors.

Concentrating on keeping her ears open, Gem heard a tiny little laugh that sounded suspiciously like the woman was grinning. Jealousy reared its ugly head! She just had to get a look at this woman who had been with Jaxx previously. Quietly, she moved to put her fingers on the slide indentation of the door, and gently opened them a bit larger, leaving just enough of a crack to let her see into the library. She looked through the crack, and
saw more people in the room than she had thought.

Four people, besides Taylor, Rick, Stan, and Stacy, stood in dark blue robes similar to a judge's robe. Three men, and two women were standing in a slight arc facing the others. She saw the women, and her mouth dropped open. One man and woman were as dark and tan as Jaxx, while the other couple looked as if they had been in they hadn’t seen the sun in years! But, the tan man and pale woman, who were obviously a couple, captured her attention most. But, her clothing?

“Holy shit!” Gem told herself with her mouth dropped. “What the fuck is she wearing? I mean isn’t she wearing?”

It was red as blood, and made of net! Her entire outfit was like a net robe! Nothing was left to the imagination! Everyone could see her nipples poking out of the netting, and her figure was lean, and perfect! And, the “fur” at the apex of her thighs were curly and easily seen!

“Damn her!” Gem almost muttered aloud.

And, worse, it was obvious that, while she had a thing for Jaxx, the man by her side was hers.

The woman was beautiful! Not just pretty, but she was a true beauty. With her skin as pale as milk, her coal black hair hung down to her waist as smooth and straight without a hair out of place! She was just like a woman out of a 1940's pin-up! Would someone please tell her why it is that all these “other women” had big tits, small waists, perfect butts, and gorgeous hair, while Gem had only the big tits? Shaking her head, she also saw that the woman was tall – perhaps five-foot seven inches with coal brown eyes, and from what she could see, she glided easily as she approached. How in the Hell could she compete with that vision of beauty? Depression set foot in Gem's mind. Why would any man look at her unruly red hair, with her tiny frame, and hair the color of Lucille Ball's, when he could have that in his bed? To be thrusting into that body? But, to all intents and purposes, her face looked – hard...as if she had lived a hard life.
