Trouble Comes in Twos (Finding Jet Book 1)

Below were the chubby lips of her most private place, exposed to the air for him. He missed the thick build into a penis. He wasn’t quite sure what to do. Maybe the mechanisms of fingers and movement were the same for guys and girls. He ran his fingertips across the lips. Amy’s breathing came in fast puffs in his ear. The sound stirred his dick again. He ran his fingers around, exploring. Just inside the apex he found the little bulb he’d heard his friends talk about. He rubbed it and Amy clung to him. As he rolled his finger, she began to moan.

“Sweet fucking ginger, that’s good,” she hissed. Jet loved the way her belly heaved against his arm. He dropped his head to nuzzle her closest nipple and her voice rose. Suddenly she reached down and grabbed his fingers. As he realized what she was doing, Jet began to panic, he tried to snatch his hand away, but her grip was determined.

  “Amy, I don’t think…”

She formed his finger and sunk it into the deep, burning-hot void between her legs. Amy threw back her head, and her waist arched off the bed. Jet trembled. Experimentally he wriggled his finger. There was a little bit of room. He drew it out and shifted his wrist to a more comfortable position, then reinserted two fingers. She hissed between her teeth, but it was a sound of pleasure. He repeated the movement.

Jet realized he was still trembling. As much as he wanted to bring Amy every happiness in the world, this felt wrong. He shouldn’t have let it go so far. An errant thought pierced his mind like a cold arrow splitting a wooden target. He wished she was Liam. He wished it was Liam cuddling next to him. He wanted Liam to hold him.

He wanted to make Amy feel good, especially since she was so self-conscious about herself, but he felt like the wrong person in this scenario. Liam had made him feel feminine. Now he just felt too awkward. His hard-on faded away.

“Do you want to go all the way?” Amy’s voice came in a low moan.

  “What?” Jet froze.

Hearing his panic, Amy pushed up on her elbows.

  “I...I can’t…” Jet stammered.

“What?” Amy gasped in the most heartbreaking tone Jet had ever heard. He loosened his fingers. “Wait!” She grabbed his hand, and clamped her legs. “Does this feel wrong to you?” she squeezed her legs to indicate what she meant.

  Jet shook his head. “I’m not sure. No…but I’m sorry…I am gay…”

She stared up at him with big sad eyes. “Okay…but…if it doesn’t feel wrong, unless I’m not pretty enough or whatever…could you…” she swallowed hard and Jet realized she was embarrassed. A whirlwind went through his mind. Wouldn’t he do anything for this girl who had rescued him, taken him book shopping, sucked him off? How had it felt when Liam had run out on him? Not that he’d expected something in return, but to finish the way they had had been so terrible. He dropped his head onto her chest and breathed deep. She smelt faintly of sweat, and something earthier, a new smell. He lifted his head and met her eye.

“Of course…if that’s what you want.”

  She nodded shyly.

He’d have to work hard to try to make this happen. He moved his hand and she released her knees. Jet rolled off the bed and slipped his undies back on. Feeling safer, he held himself over her.

“You, Miss Amy, are a beautiful girl,” he whispered, kissing her ear. She giggled as it tickled her tender skin. “Don’t. Ever. Think. That. You. Are. Not.” Each word he punctuated with a kiss, moving down her neck. He rolled one nipple between his lips, and the air whistled in through her nose. His fingers roved her body until she quivered. Her legs opened wide on the bed, her butt lifting slightly. Jet realized with surprise it was the same move that drove a ready dick deeper into the mouth in a moment of ecstasy.

He locked eyes with Amy. She saw his hesitation and guided his hand. She dragged it between her thighs. Jet’s fingers entered the abyss once more. She moaned. Instead of letting go of his wrist, she gripped it tight and began driving his arm back and forth. The noisy exhales grew louder. Jet watched with a kind of nervous interest as she spread her legs wider and arched her back. Her breath came fast and heavy, her chest pulsing with it. He took a big mouthful of nipple and sucked, hard. She screamed and went rigid. Wetness flooded his hand, which she held hard against her pussy. Jet held onto her tightly, as she strained against some invisible force. The sounds that came out from her amazed him. One day, someone would make those sounds come from him. Finally, her body dropped, her breath gasping. She released him and Jet pulled free. He wiped his dripping hand on his skirt.

He lay down next to her. They were silent for a long time, while her breathing returned to normal.

“Holy Fucking Moley, Jet. That was incredible.” She rested one hand against his cheek. “I wish it was as good for you.”

“It was…you were amazing,” he stammered. Feeling the need to be honest with her, he added, “It’s just…I’m just laying here, and the whole time I’m wishing you were someone else.” Jet looked away, unable to meet Amy’s eyes.

“Who?” she asked, her voice cracking.

“There’s this boy I like at school. I think about him constantly. I can’t get him out of my head.”

“Is it Liam Guerrera? I remember you said he helped you in the bathroom.”

“Yeah...he’s just so tall and so sweet, and I feel this perfect, feminine feeling when I’m with him. I’m sorry, Amy. I shouldn’t have let it get this far.”

“It’s okay…I should have known better.” Amy sniffled.

Jet sat up. Tears were welling in her eyes. His insides felt like rotten garbage as the excitement and novelty of the encounter completely washed away. “It’s not okay. I used you for sex. I feel awful now. I got your hopes up. I misled you. I’m a fucking horrible person.”

“You didn’t use me! Jet, listen. I wanted this so badly. Lisa was right. I do get crushes on gay guys. I grew up reading tons of yaoi manga. I just thought I finally found the first really feminine guy who’s straight. I know you can’t judge a book by its cover, but everyone at school pretty much thinks you’re gay or trans. I shouldn’t have just lunged at you like that. I wasn’t planning anything. This wasn’t premeditated. But once you bought me that book, I totally fell for you.”

  “I’m sorry...”

“Don’t be sorry! I just had my first sexual experience with a really sweet guy. I got to hook up with a gay guy! That’s been my fantasy since middle school. Really, it’s okay. Better than okay. I feel fantastic.”

Are you sure?” Jet finally looked at her. Amy’s cheeks were wet with tears, but she was smiling.

“I promise. This was amazing. I gave my first BJ. I got to touch and kiss you. And, I’ve never felt anything like that, ever. I always felt so bad about being a virgin with no sexual experience, but not anymore!”

Jet forced a painful smile. “I lied about this being my first time. I actually sucked off a guy before tonight.”

“That’s okay. I can understand why you wouldn’t want to share that during sex. At least it was your first time with a girl.”

  “You’re really understanding.”

“Well, my big sister and youngest brother are both gay. My family is super progressive and tolerant. We can still be friends, right?”

  “It’s up to you...”

Amy climbed out of bed and gave Jet a naked hug. Despite her bare breasts being pressed against him, Jet didn’t feel that elemental excitement like when they held hands in the bookstore. Whatever strange desire he had was gone now.

The rest of the night was spent eating cold Taco Bell and watching TV while Amy did her homework in the dining area. Around ten, her sister picked her up, but not before Amy said goodbye with a kiss on the cheek.

“See you in art class,” said Amy as she stood in the door looking bashful.

  “You’re in my art class?”

“Of course. How do you suppose I found your books when Jackson Spears kidnapped you?”

“I didn’t really give it that much thought.”

“Sorry I was doing homework all night. I’m in four AP classes trying to get college credit.”

“It’s fine. Was nice not to be sitting in the house alone all night.” Through the open living room window, they could hear Lisa honking her horn.

“Bye, Jet,” said Amy. “And…thanks,” she smiled shyly, then turned and jogged off down the hall. Jet watched her leave, realizing those strange, powerful feelings for her were over. He could only hope Amy was really okay with what had happened, and this wouldn’t be like with Liam where he destroyed a relationship as soon as it formed. But, it felt like maybe they had a fantastic friendship that would now weather anything.

Jet returned to his bedroom. He sat on his bed with a sigh. Hugging his knees, he tried to think through what had happened. He couldn’t explain the powerful feelings he’d had for Amy, but at least he knew from the night that he really was gay. He texted Liam again. At least he was considerate enough to answer, but only told Jet he couldn’t talk to him right now. Jet wanted to beg him to talk, to call him, but couldn’t bear to humiliate himself when Liam refused. Instead he went to bed that night dreaming about being held in Liam’s arMs

  CHAPTER TEN

Jet woke to his dad knocking on his door.

“Better get up Jet. Thank God it’s Friday eh?”

Jet yawned and dragged his feet through a shower and dressing. Tony shoved a fried-egg sandwich in his hands and just about dragged him out the door. Jet studied him as they drove to school. It didn’t look like Tony had been drinking. He smelled inoffensive and still shaved—two of the biggest signs he still cared about himself. Dark rings under his eyes were pretty normal for extra shift work, right? Jet’s dad caught him looking at him and smiled.

“Do I got something on my face?” he asked.

“No…” Jet shook his head. He couldn’t put his doubts into words at that moment. “I…I’m just worried about you. You’re working so much now. I never get to see you.”

“Aww, kiddo. Maybe this weekend we should do something together like go to the arcade.”

  “Is that still a thing?”

“I’m not sure…we’ll figure something out. Tomorrow. Father-son time.”

  “Okay.”

They joined the queue of cars entering the one-way drop-off.

“Oh, before I forget, here’s ten bucks for your lunch. Thanks for bringing home change.”

  “Yep.”

“So, did anything interesting happen with Liam while you were out?” Tony waggled his eyebrows.

“Ah, actually my friend Amy took me…”

“Oh, Amy? Another friend? That’s great. Is she…”

“Gotta go. See ya.” Jet jumped out of the car, stalling any further questions. He hoped his face didn’t show the blaze of conflicting emotions he felt. Something interesting happen with Liam? No, actually, he’d had sex with Amy, even though he was gay. Jet swiped a hand across his hot forehead. He trotted through the front door. Relief washed through him as he saw kids waiting in the cafeteria. At least the first bell hadn’t rung yet, thanks to the mad dash from home.

He debated heading into the office to catch Liam and talk to him, but Liam would text him if and when he was ever ready. Maybe Liam was too polite to tell him to fuck off. Jet would just have to wait. Pushing would make things worse right now.

The bell rang, and just as Jet reached the stairs, he saw Liam poke his head out of the office. Liam caught sight of Jet and waved him over. Jet’s heart fluttered. He hurried to the office, but Liam didn’t say anything as he led him to the boy’s bathroom. There, Liam shut and locked the door. Just being alone with Liam, Jet became aroused. What would Liam say? Were they about to make out, or was Liam going to tell him to stay away? Jet ached and tingled all over. Before Liam spoke, he checked all the stalls to see that they were empty.

“Hey...” Liam began, unable to make eye contact.

“Hey, what’s going on?” asked Jet, trying to use his softest tone of voice possible.

“We have to talk here because my parents monitor my phone. I know I’ve been avoiding you and all. I’ve just been so fucking confused about everything that happened.”

“I didn’t mean to trick you.”

“You didn’t trick me. I remember what happened. I was pushing you so hard to be something you aren’t. Just because you wear makeup and skirts doesn’t mean you’re a girl. I wanted you to be a girl so bad. I thought you were the cutest girl I’ve ever seen. But you’re not. You’re a boy, and I have to respect that.”

Jet’s arousal began to cool, but not his heart. He watched Liam silently during his confessional.

“So, when I was thinking about it…once I accepted you were boy, I had to ask myself if I was okay with that. I wanted to get with you so bad, but when I really thought about it, I want a girlfriend. I want to marry a girl, have sex with a girl, and have children with a girl. I can’t keep hoping you’ll turn into what I want. You shouldn’t have to change for me.”

“I would change for you,” Jet finally spoke, his heart feeling like a wet rag being wrung dry.

“Don’t. You’re amazing. You’re so brave just to be yourself. You’re cute and sensitive and easy to talk to. Don’t change for anyone. Just be yourself. I’ll find a girl I can love every part of. Just be you.”

Jet felt like he could shatter. Every part of him wanted to be next to Liam, to be held by him, to be kissed by him. Liam was supposed to be his boyfriend. All his life, he had wanted someone who could love every part of him. Liam was supposed to be that person.

“Are you okay?” Liam asked, finally meeting his eyes. Jet could only shake his head as ugly tears threatened to break through. Liam stepped forward and took Jet in his strong arMs

“I’m sorry I couldn’t talk to you. That wasn’t real fair. I wasn’t mad at you. I was just…just scared and confused. I didn’t know what I was. I’m sorry I used you,” Liam whispered in his ear, making Jet’s skin as a hot as a skillet.

“You didn’t use me,” Jet sobbed, squeezing Liam as tight as he could. In Liam’s arms, he became aroused against his will, but Liam didn’t push him away.

“You’re a very special person. I don’t deserve someone as special as you.”

“I still want to be your friend. I don’t want to lose you. You’re the best friend I’ve ever had.” Jet grabbed fists of Liam’s shirt, afraid that he would let go. Liam gently pulled away and looked in Jet’s eyes.

“We can be friends if it’s alright with you,” said Liam, holding Jet’s small hands. Jet could only nod as he threw his arms around Liam again. Liam rubbed his sensitive shoulders, just holding him for a moment. At that moment, Jet felt completely enveloped in Liam’s strength and tenderness.

“We need to get to class,” whispered Liam.

“I know...” Jet whispered, unwilling to let go. They finally broke, the loss of contact felt like an immediate drought to Jet’s heart. Leaving the bathrooms, they found that the halls were clearing out as final bell approached.

“I’ll text you after school,” said Liam as he went his separate way.

“Promise?” asked Jet, wiping his face.

“I promise,” Liam called after him down the hall. Just as Jet reached the stairs, the bell rang, and he realized he was going to be late to class for the third day in a row. He took the steps two at a time and sprinted to his classroom only to find Ms. DeVille had already started their lesson. Jet swallowed hard as she leveled him a look with her brows curled together.

“See me after class,” the teacher said as Jet took his seat. Jet’s whole body flushed with embarrassment as he darted down the aisle to the last row.

“Why are you always late?” the girl next to him whispered.

“I had to talk with this boy I was seeing and…“

“Ew, ew, don’t want to hear about the sex parts,” said the girl, covering her ears and shaking her head. Jet snorted. There would be no sex parts to talk about. When class finally ended, Jet
sidled towards the front of the room as everyone else rushed out. At her desk, Ms DeVille spread her hands and shook her head expectantly.

“I know…” Jet studied a poster on the wall.

“Why are you always late to my class?” she asked with a tone of concern instead of frustration. Jet had to think about it a moment. Technically he had been late for three different reasons, but they all had to do with Liam – from the tour, to being so upset he forgot to set an alarm, to cuddling in the bathroom an hour ago. He couldn’t talk to his dad or Paula about Liam, and he had no idea where his relationship with Amy stood. Plus, he didn’t want to out Liam like that. Maybe he needed someone nearly disconnected from his life. Ms. Deville really seemed concerned for him. Jet took a deep breath before he spoke.

“Have you ever loved a boy who didn’t love you back?” he asked, the words tumbling out in a rush. Ms. DeVille’s face softened with sympathy, her lips dimpling in the corners.

“Oh, sweetie…when’s your lunch period? Why don’t you stop by during your lunch, and if you want, we can talk about boys.”

  “Okay…”

Jet continued the rest of his day as usual until fourth-period art where Amy was in his class just like she had. When he paused in the doorway, she stood up and waved at him. Instead of keeping to himself, he took a seat next to her at the big tables in the art room.

“Hey,” said Jet nervously as he took his seat, not knowing quite where they stood.

“Hey, how’s your day been so far?”

“Okay. I haven’t been beaten up…yet” he said with a nervous chuckle. “I can’t believe I never noticed we were in same art class.”

“Well, you only met me yesterday. Plus, I’m really plain-looking. I noticed you immediately though.”

“You’re not plain. You’re cute,” said Jet. Amy smiled politely but didn’t acknowledge the compliment.
