Olivetti: Illumination

“Once what is over?”
The lights suddenly went off. It was dark. “It has already started,”
Tom closed the door to the chamber briskly. He knew he couldn’t fight what was about to happen without hurting Nina and his unborn child. He ran towards the front door of the main house. Everywhere was dark. He could hear the road block in a five mile radius. He could hear tactical teams take down his guards one by one. It was a well-planned operation by the Joint Chiefs—discreet and sweet. No noise. Just sounds of his men dropping dead. There were hundreds of them. Hundred Special Forces. Their thoughts were focused on the image of one person—Thomas Olivetti.
Could he fight them off? Yes he could, but not without causing a catastrophic explosion that may affect Nina. Could he run away? Yes, but the U.S. government will never give up until they find him. Besides, they will use his family as bait next time. He had run out of options, except one.
He ran to the center of the compound. The darkness was thick, but he could see the camouflaged soldiers clearly, without night vision goggles. All his men were dead and above them were U.S Special Forces soldiers. He could kill them all, but he didn’t. His plan just got better. He smiled.
“My name is Thomas Olivetti. I surrender!”

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
My sincere appreciation to everyone who worked to make this book a reality. First and foremost, to my entire family for their belief and moral support. My gratitude also goes specifically to my mother who discovered my ability to make up stories at an early age. Also, to my friends: Lola and Grace, for spending their valuable time reading and critiquing my manuscript, I thank you. Finally, I’d like to give thanks to God for everything he has done in my life.
AUTHOR’S NOTE
Thank you for reading this book. Writing this book made me realize all the hidden conspiracies I had in my mind. I mean, the Illuminati conspiracies, JFK, 9/11, Government stuff, Wars and all that. It felt good to compose these conspiracies in a fictitious way. It was definitely fun to write and imagine what it’d be like if that really happened in real life.
I had a bit of contention when I decided to change the tone of the book from a crime thriller to a sci-fi supernatural crime thriller. I mean, the readers of the first book wanted a story strictly about the mafia. But, then again, my conspiracies kicked in and I started to imagine what I thought the mafia was involved in. If you haven’t read Olivetti: inception, the first of the series, you should. However, keep in mind that my writing at sixteen years old wasn’t as good as my writing now (It can still be better, I know). Please read with an open mind. The most difficult part about self-publishing is getting a good affordable editor.
I’ve started the next project and can’t wait to get it out. I hope one day, the Olivetti series will be made into a movie. It’ll be more exciting to see it on the big screen.
Overall, I had fun writing this and I hope you enjoyed it.
