  Chapter One

Matt Murray pushed his way in between two men shoving each other and separated them. “Either calm down and go your separate ways back to your friends, or leave,” Matt snapped at the men.

The two guys glared at each other and then turned and walked away. Usually the people visiting the Four Passion Club were passive and happy as they met friends for a night out to enjoy good food, a few drinks, and the music being played by the local bands, but occasionally he or his brother, Todd, had to step in before things could get out of hand. He hated the way some people drank too much and then started fights. It wasn’t that he minded people drinking and having a good time to let off steam, but he figured if they couldn’t handle alcohol then they shouldn’t be drinking it. When he was sure the two men weren’t going to go at each other again as soon as his back was turned, he headed back to the door where Todd was checking IDs and sighed when he realized there were no more people waiting to get in.

Matt stood by the door and scanned the crowd. It looked like it was about time to close the doors because the club was nearly filled to capacity and he and Todd had orders from Connor that no codes were to be broken.

Todd moved closer to him as he, too, scanned the crowd, making sure everyone was behaving themselves. “Did you hear that Tiffany Cowan is back?”

Matt smiled as he remembered their feisty little neighbour. She had spent a lot of time following him and Todd around when they were younger. Even though he sometimes got annoyed at being followed, especially when he and Todd were trying to find some privacy when they wanted to make out with their girlfriends, he missed having her around.

Tiffany had left for the city four years ago to follow her dream of becoming a mechanic, and even though he had kept up with what she had been doing when he saw her grandmother from time to time, it would be good to see her again. He was sad that she had to come back because her grandmother was sick, but it would be good to catch up with her again.

“I figured she wouldn’t stay away once she found out about her grandma. Mum said she was going to call her because that stubborn old biddy wasn’t going to tell Tiffany she was ill.”

“I wonder if she’s still a little wildcat.” Todd smiled.

  “I reckon so,” Matt replied.

“Did Mum tell you…” Todd trailed off when a small redheaded female appeared in the doorway.

Matt sucked in a breath at the woman’s beauty. She wasn’t very big, but she had a hell of a body on her. She couldn’t be much more than five foot three, and her deep, dark red hair was so long it fell to her waist even though it was up in a braid. He saw the tail of her hair swinging as she walked closer. Matt eyed her body up and down, and then his gaze roamed over her face. He licked his lips when he saw her small nose, lush, full lips, and creamy white skin, and when he met her light-blue eyes, his heart stuttered in his chest.

A slow smile spread across her mouth, and then she was launching herself into his arms. “Matt! Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re still here.”

Matt wrapped his arms around her and nearly groaned when her full breasts smashed into his rib cage. It was damn hard not to move his hands down to her arse and pull her harder into his body, but this little bit of fiery female was his neighbour.

“Hey, chicken little, it’s good to see you.” Matt breathed in her delectable perfume and felt his cock twitch in his pants. He eased his hold on her and moved back a little, hoping she wouldn’t notice he was getting hard. She kissed him on the cheek and then looked at his brother. He glanced at Todd just before Tiffany moved into his brother’s embrace.

Todd looked just as gobsmacked as he felt, and he could see the lust in his brother’s eyes, too.

“What are you doing here, munchkin?” Todd asked as Tiffany took a couple of steps back.

“I heard about this place and wanted to take a look. Grandma has one of her friends over, so I decided to come see while she had company.”

“It’s good to see you again, Tiff.”

Matt cleared his throat and surreptitiously shifted his stance. His jeans were so damn tight he felt like his hard cock was being strangled. “How’s the city treating you?”

  “Okay,” Tiffany said.

Was it his imagination or did she sound sad? What the hell? He glanced at Todd and saw that his brother was frowning as well. He’d obviously picked up on that little nuance in her voice, too.

“So you two work here?” Tiffany swept out a hand.

  “Sure do, munchkin.”

“When did you get out of the Army?”

  “A couple of years back.”

“I didn’t think you’d end up back here.”

  “Why not?” Todd asked.

“I don’t…I just figured you’d want to live in a city. There are more women there.” Tiffany smiled, but Matt noticed the smile didn’t reach her eyes.

Something was wrong. Matt wanted to demand that she tell him and Todd what was going on, but they hadn’t seen her since she left for the city and her apprenticeship four years ago, and that had only been for a few minutes. He and Todd had been back in town
visiting their parents and had bumped into her in the street outside the coffee shop. She’d still looked so young and gangly, but she wasn’t that way anymore. Tiffany was a beautiful, sexy woman and had filled out in all the right places. She was rounded with curves. All those sharp angles of youth were gone, and no matter how hard he tried to get his erection to go down, it wasn’t happening.

“I’m going to get a drink.” Tiffany turned away from them but glanced back over her shoulder and smiled. “I’ll see you around.”

Matt waved at her, and even though he tried to keep his eyes off her hips and arse, it was impossible. She walked with such a sexy feminine grace he could barely draw another breath.

“Fuck!” Todd drew his attention, and he saw that his brother was in the same condition as he was. “She’s…”

“Yeah.” Matt swallowed and hoped he didn’t have drool trailing down his chin. He wiped a hand over his face just to make sure.

Todd finally turned to face him. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

“She’s like a little sister to us, Todd. We can’t…”

“Sure we can. She’s no blood relation, and we’ve been waiting for the right woman to come along. I think it was meant to be. We haven’t been with a woman since we’ve been back. We’re both sick of meaningless relationships, and I for one am sick of jerking off in the shower.”

“Do you think she’d be interested?” Matt asked and tried to see Tiffany through the crowd at the bar. When he saw her talking to Clint Eastern, the hackles on the back of his neck stood on end.

“I don’t know,” Todd said in an angry voice.

Matt felt just as jealous and angry when Clint lifted his hand and brushed a strand of hair away from Tiffany’s face, but he relaxed a little when she stepped back from the other man’s touch.

“We have to find out,” Matt said. “There is no way in hell I’m letting her get away from us. From the moment I saw her in the doorway, I felt a connection with her. Like it was meant to be.”

“Yeah, me, too,” Todd said. “We have to make a move soon. She’s so fucking sexy she’s gonna have all the single guys panting after her.”

Matt glanced at his watch and then closed the double doors to the club. There would be no more people admitted into the club tonight. He locked eyes with Todd and then nodded, and together they made their way toward the bar.

  Chapter Two

Tiffany’s heart still felt like it was racing at a hundred miles an hour. She couldn’t believe that Matt and Todd were living in Passion. She’d thought that they were the type of men to make a lifelong career out of the Army, but she was ecstatic they were back home.

She couldn’t get the image of them out of her head. Matt was slightly taller than Todd, standing at around six foot three. Other than aging a little, which only seemed to make them more handsome—at least in her eyes—and packing on more muscles than when they were younger, neither man had changed. They both had brown hair and green eyes, but Todd had more brown flecks in his eyes whereas Matt had brown and gold flecks in his eyes. Matt and Todd both had broad shoulders, muscular pecs, bulging biceps, and ripped abs. Their legs were long and sturdy. She could still see the way their quadriceps bunched beneath their jeans when they had walked or shifted, and from the healthy bulges she’d seen behind their zippers, she figured that both of them were packing more than the average man.

She shivered and tried to push her lust aside. The last thing she needed was for those two men to know how much they meant to her. They probably wouldn’t ever see her as anything more than the little kid who used to annoy them by following them around. Her eyes drifted to the mirror over the bar, hoping to find them through the crowd. She sighed when she couldn’t see them. The place was jam-packed and everyone was having a good time, and even though she was surrounded by people, she’d never felt more alone. She’d missed her grandmother as well as Shirley, Richard, Matt, and Todd while living in the city doing her time for her apprenticeship.

Now that she was back she had no intention of leaving again. At least she hoped not.

Her grandmother needed her. She was dying slowly of cancer, and when Matt and Todd’s mum, Shirley, had called to tell her about her grandma’s failing health, she had immediately set the ball rolling to quit her job and end the lease of her small one-bedroom apartment. It had taken her a couple of weeks to finalise everything, but she had arrived back home a week ago.

Her grandma had been pleased to see her, and Tiffany vowed to make what time she had left to be the best she could. Her grandmother had been sick before, but this time there was nothing the doctors could do. She was in awe of how strong her grandmother was. She’d been to hell and back but had still managed to raise Tiffany after her own father had dumped her on her doorstep when she was a baby. Her mother had died giving birth to her, and her father hadn’t been able to cope with the loss of his wife, and Tiffany had never even met the man. She had no idea if the man who had helped to create her was even alive. Not that she really cared. She figured her father was a selfish man and didn’t love her. He couldn’t if he’d willingly handed her over to her mother’s mother without a backward glance.

Matt and Todd’s mother had helped look after Tiffany and her grandmother over the years when her grandma had been ill. Of course as Tiffany grew older she had taken over doing all the chores and running the house, but when she’d had the opportunity for her apprenticeship and hesitated to leave, her grandma, her parent really, had put her foot down and sent her off with a hug and a smile. The only way Tiffany had been able to leave was because of Shirley and Richard, Matt and Todd’s parents. They had told Tiffany that they would look after her grandma and help her out any way they could.

She had spent her childhood years following Matt and Todd around and had a crush on them since she was a little girl. As the years passed, the love she’d felt for those two men had only gotten stronger. The last time she had seen them had been only for a few brief minutes, but those minutes had sustained her love and memories of them for years. Now that she was back home, she was going to have to try and stay away from them. She wasn’t sure she would be able to endure seeing them with other women. In fact she knew damn well she couldn’t. Just the thought of them kissing another woman made her heart ache and her eyes burn with tears. How the hell was she supposed to keep her love for them hidden?

She glanced toward the door from her spot by the bar and sighed with resignation. Tiffany was going to have to learn to live without the loves of her life.

Clint Eastern bumped into her as he approached the bar, and when he looked down at her, his eyes widened in recognition. Clint had been a couple of years ahead of her in high school and had been a real jerk. He had always seemed to have several of the popular girls hanging off of his arm, and his ego was so big it was a wonder he was able to carry his fat head on his neck.

“Tiffany Cowan, as I live and breathe. When did you come back home?”

“Hi, Clint. I’ve been back about a week now.”

Clint reached out toward her face and brushed a strand of hair away from her face. Tiffany stepped aside and tried not to shudder in revulsion at his touch.

“I think you and I should go on a date.”

  For the love of…jerk.

“I’m not interested.” Tiffany turned her back on him and ordered a lemon squash. Connor winked at her, and then his gaze shifted to over her head. When he scowled, she took a step back and bumped into a hard body. She was just about step sideways but got caught between the bar and the man behind her when Connor leaned over and reached out across the bar and grabbed hold of the other guy’s wrist.

“She said no,” Connor snarled. “Back off or leave.”

  “Is everything all right here?”

Tiffany looked into the mirror and scurried aside when Connor released Clint, and then she met Matt’s fierce gaze. God, he was so damn hot. When she saw Todd beside Matt, her breathing escalated and her heart stuttered. Would she
ever be able to look at them without reacting?

Her breasts swelled. Her areolas contracted, and her nipples hardened. When her pussy clenched and began to moisten, she knew she was in big trouble and lowered her eyes. But she couldn’t stop herself from looking into that mirror again, and again, but she did try and avoid their gazes. She was pleased to see the back of Clint as he walked away.

Tiffany startled when a large, warm hand landed on her shoulder, and she met Matt’s angry-looking eyes.

  “Did he hurt you?”

Tiffany licked her lips and barely contained a groan of need when Matt’s gaze tracked the movement before meeting her eyes once more. “No,” she said a little too assertively, but she didn’t want them to know how much their closeness was affecting her and decided to keep on in the same vein. “He hardly touched me.”

She finally turned around to face them directly rather than looking at them through the mirror behind the bar. Placing her hands on her hips, she tilted her head back and met Matt’s gaze before looking at Todd, and then back to Matt again.

“I can take care of myself, you know. I don’t need either of you coming to the rescue like I’m still a little kid. I’m a grown woman.”

Todd shifted on his feet, taking a step closer to her. He was so close she could feel the heat emanating from his big, brawny body. Her nipples hardened even more, and her pussy leaked more cream onto her panties. Tiffany lowered her head and took a deep breath as she tried to get her wayward lust under control.

The breath she was about to expel got caught in her throat when Todd placed a finger beneath her chin, nudging her head up so that she again met his eyes.

“Believe me, munchkin.” Todd paused and eyed her body up and down. “We know that you are all woman.”
