In six quick strides, I was out of my seat and up on the stage. And with Scott still on his knee, I stared down at the one and only man who could ever really have my heart.
“Yes,” I said and wrapped my arms around his neck. “I love you.”
After he slid the ring on my finger, and with me still hanging off of him like a monkey, he stood and took my mouth in a mind-blowing kiss.
“I love you,” he whispered against my lips.
“I love you too.”
“Not gonna lie, that yes came a lot easier than I expected,” he admitted, and I grinned. “I think that’s proposal number fifteen if I’m keeping count correctly.”
I giggled. “Yeah, I might have finally said yes, but you still have to convince me to actually plan the wedding.”
He grinned down at me. “Is this going to be like the months of chasing it took to get you to agree to be in a relationship with me?”
“You mean the months of stalking?” I teased with a smile, and he laughed.
“Is this how it’s always going to be with us?”
I shrugged. “Probably.”
“Thank fuck for that,” he said and lifted me into his arms. “You’re my favorite challenge,” he whispered against my lips. “I’ll spend the rest of my life chasing after your feisty ass.”
Can I let you in on a little secret?
I’m going to find a way to convince Scott to fly to Vegas tonight and make it official.
The only reason I’ve been waiting is because I wanted to be done with med school.
And since I only have one month left, it’s motherfucking time to make this man officially mine.
God, I really am one lucky bitch, huh?
