“Mmmmm, I’ll bet you taste amazing.” He made one slow pass across her clit with his tongue, and she moaned. “I was right.” He moved closer to her, brushing his nose against her. “You’re sweeter than honey.”
“Not too long,” she said. Her voice was deep and throaty. “I want to feel you inside me.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen, but not until I take my time with this beautiful pussy.”
He wanted to make this last for as long as possible but with curves like Eva’s, he wasn’t sure how long he could hold back. Every inch of her was beautiful, and he wished he could see the color of her skin, the color of her eyes.
With each pass of his tongue, her taste became sweeter. He loved the way she reacted to his touch, his breath, his lips. He placed his thumb on her clit and moved it in a lazy circle. Her hips bucked, begging him to finish what he’d started.
“I can’t stand it another minute,” she said. She was breathing heavier now, and he knew she was close.
Tiburon placed his thumb on her clit and moved it in a lazy rhythmic circle. “Like that?”
“Mmmmm,” she moaned, writhing against him.
Slowly, he slid his tongue inside her and fucked her with it until he felt her shudder with orgasm.
“Jesus,” she murmured. “That was fantastic.”
“Turn over. It’s my turn.”
With the smile of a minx, she stood and licked her lips. She slowly bent over the sofa, her beautiful ass in the air. “Is this what you want?”
He grabbed her hips and drove into her. She was so tight, so perfect, and she fit him like the most expensive leather glove.
Tiburon lost all control. He pumped into her until he found his release.
Eva collapsed onto the sofa still breathing hard. “That was definitely more than advertised.” She had the look of a well-fucked woman, and he couldn’t hide the smile on his face. “Now I need some food and then a shower. We just burned at least three thousand calories.”
“Shower and then food. Sounds like a plan.”
Sometimes They Bite
The warm water felt great. It splashed over her, cooling her skin and washing the rest of the sand and sweat down the drain.
“Wash your hair?” Tiburon asked. He stood behind her, and she leaned back into the hardness of him. He lightly nipped at her shoulder with his teeth, and her nipples reacted instantly. He took one of them between his thumb and index finger. “I think you want more.”
“After food.”
He squeezed some shampoo into his hands and rubbed it into her hair. Eva loved having her hair washed and Tiburon had the touch. His hands were strong, and as he massaged her head, her whole body relaxed. She moaned.
“That good?” he asked.
“I could get used to this,” she said before she thought about how he might take it. “I didn’t mean that I expected—”
“Shhh,” he soothed. “Just enjoy this.”
By the time he’d rinsed and conditioned her curls, she was ready to marry him if only for his work in the shower. “My turn,” she said. She turned to face him and bumped into his hard chest. “Now I get to pamper you.”
“I might like that,” he said.
His dick, already hard again, pressed into her leg. “Already?” she teased. “I like a man who recovers fast.”
He cupped her ass with his large hands and squeezed. “I’m always ready.” His stamina was most impressive.
Eva pressed her mouth to his, and the taste of him made her wet all over again. She’d never been this physically attracted to anyone. Ever. While she had a very healthy sex drive, this was like going from a Camaro to a Ferrari. His body was perfect, all muscles and angles. She ran her hands down his chest and to the six-pack of his abs.
He was stone hard, and she wanted him in her mouth. “You don’t get to have all the fun,” she said, her voice throaty and deep. “It’s my turn to taste you.”
Her lips were barely touching his, and she felt him smile, making the whole thing more erotic.
“I’d hate to be unfair.”
She slid downward, the tips of her fingers never losing contact with his body.
His cock was a work of art and couldn’t wait to take the impressive length of it into her mouth. She knelt, the warm water still splashing over the two of them, and ran the tip of her tongue over the tip of his cock.
Tiburon leaned back against the tile and moaned.
Eva loved giving head. The power, the control. All of it. She took him deeper into her mouth, swirling her tongue around his girth as she went. When she felt him bumping against the back of her throat, she started moving back and forth, creating suction. She ran her fingers across the flat plane of his abdomen, letting her fingernails brush the top of his shaft.
When she felt him getting close, she took his balls in her hand and squeezed.
Tiburon tasted fantastic.
“That was amazing,” he said, his breath still coming hard. “Fucking amazing.”
Eva rose and kissed him, the taste of him still on her lips.
* * *
Tiburon had the next two days off work, so the next morning, they decided to take his 1987 Jeep into town for some window shopping. He parallel parked near an art gallery.
“Ready to do some shopping?” He wiped his sunglasses clean and placed them on his nose.
“I don’t think you’ll need those today.” The sky was overcast and according to the weather app on her phone, they weren’t going to see the sunshine until tomorrow.
“My eyes are pretty sensitive to light so I always wear them anytime I’m outside.”
They locked the Jeep and walked down Oleander Street toward some less-expensive, more touristy shops.
“Let’s go in here,” Eva said. The store’s window was filled with tacky T-shirts and colorful shot glasses. “I love kitschy stuff I’ll never use.”
Inside the store, a 1980s hair band was singing about bad medicine. Eva moved her hips in time to the music while she looked at a display of refrigerator magnets. Some of them were ridiculous and others were quite clever.
Tiburon stood beside her and placed his hand on her hip. “I like that dancing thing you’re doing. It makes me wish we were back at my place,” he whispered into her ear. His breath was warm, and she shivered at the way it tickled her neck.
What was this man doing to her?”
“Buy me a trinket and I might do some private dancing for you later.”
“Anything you want.” His voice was deep and sexy and goosebumps rose on her arms.
“I like that.”
After browsing for several more minutes, she saw a display of tiny animals carved from stone. She picked up a tiny turtle and held it between her fingers. The green stone felt dense and cool in her hands. “He’s a darling.”
“A little tame.”
Next she picked up a wolf and then a horse. Then, at the very back, she spotted a shark. It was more intricately carved than any of the others, and it fit perfectly into the palm of her hand. All the sudden, she remembered what she’d felt out in the ocean the day of the storm. A shark had nudged her, alerting her to the danger, and it might have saved her life.
“This one. I want this one.”
Tiburon, who’d been looking at the mugs lined up on the next shelf, looked at the trinket in her hand. He pulled his sunglasses off and looked at it closely. “Why this one?”
“When I picked him up, I remembered that a shark saved my life.”
His eyes went wide, and she saw the pulse in his neck throbbing. “What?”
“When I was out in the ocean, a shark bumped into me and woke me up. If he hadn’t, I might not have started swimming.”
“How do you know it was a shark?”
“His skin was rough, like sandpaper. I’ve always been fascinated by sharks, and I’ve read a lot about them over the years.” This wasn’t the time to tell him that she’d had long periods in her life when she’d been ob
sessed with them. “But it could have been just a big fish.”
He looked deeply into her eyes. “If that’s your pick, I’d like to get it for you.”
“It’s my pick. I feel like he’s supposed to belong to me.”
Something about Tiburon had changed. He’d gone stiff, formal. His eyes were hard and his face was expressionless.
Maybe he was low on cash. Lifeguarding surely didn’t pay that much. “I don’t have to get one.”
“I insist,” he said.
“I’ll buy it myself,” she said. “I’ve got some cash.”
He placed his hand over hers, the one that held the small stone shark, and said, “Please let me get it for you. I want you to have something to remember this week by.”
“Okay. If you’re sure.”
“I am. Come on. Let’s pay for it and find something to eat.”
After he paid for the shark, he handed it to her. She tucked it into her purse and took his hand in her own. “Thank you for the gift. I’ll treasure it.” That was the truth. This week had been magical and she’d never forget it.
“You’re welcome.”
They walked to a small café down the street and shared a plate of loaded Nachos while they shared one of the Margaritas, a house special that looked more like a fish bowl than a drinking glass.
After spending another hour or so browsing and walking through town, they headed back to Tiburon’s bungalow. After making love, they’d fallen asleep wrapped around each other.
The next morning, they grabbed two poles and went fishing on the pier.
For every tug Eva got on her line, Tiburon threw three or four fish in the cooler.
“How do you do that?”
“Do what?”
She couldn’t see his eyes behind his dark sunglasses, but she knew they were alight with mischief. “Beat me four to one?”
“It’s a skill.”
Eva rolled her eyes. “It’s like they’re begging you to eat them.”
“They’re not the only ones.”
“Smart ass,” she quipped back.
When they had enough fish for dinner, they walked back to the bungalow and Tiburon cleaned them with quickly and precisely. Eva threw them on the grill, and the salty scent filled the air.
“They smell wonderful.” she sighed.
“So do you,” Tiburon said, grabbing her around the waist and burying his face in her neck. He ran his tongue down the side of her neck, sending shivers all the way to her panties. “I want you for dessert.”
“Tomorrow is my last night.” She wanted to play along, flirt with him, but she wasn’t feeling it. In the few days they’d been together, she’d started to have feelings, real feelings for him. Leaving was going to break her heart.
“It doesn’t have to be your last night.”
She spun away from him and took the fish off the grill and put them onto a clean plate. “What do you mean?”
He shrugged. “You could stay.”
“Where?”
He laughed and swatted her ass with a kitchen towel. “Here. With me.”
There was no way that would work. She had a job, a roommate. A life. “But I live more than two hundred miles away.”
“You could move.”
“But we just met.”
“I’m okay with that.”
Her head spun with the possibilities. She’d always wanted to live near the beach, but she had a 401K and benefits.
“We have schools here, you know.”
The fact that she was even considering moving two hundred miles into a house with a man she’d only met a few days ago was crazy. Totally crazy. And yet…it didn’t feel crazy. It felt natural, right.
“What if we don’t like each other? What if this is just heat?”
“It’s not. You know that and so do I.” His eyes burned with intensity. “This isn’t just a fling. From the very beginning, it’s been more.”
She’d felt it too, but it had been so long since she’d been touched by a man, held by a man, that she’d written off the feelings as part of an overly emotional reaction on her part. Now that Tiburon had put words to it, she felt safe enough to make her own confession. “It has been more, hasn’t it?”
“You’d have the rest of the summer to find a job.”
That was true. Surely, in more than two months, she could find something. “What about Mandy?”
“Talk to her. She might be able to get a new roommate.”
The more she tossed the idea around, the more it sounded close to sane. “We shouldn’t make such a big decision before we take the time to get to know each other better.”
“That sounds like your brain talking. Listen to your heart.”
Eva took a deep breath. What if she did listen to her heart? For once? She’d listened to her head plenty, and it hadn’t gotten her anywhere in the romance department. What did she have to lose?
“Okay,” she said.
“You’ll move in with me?”
“As long as Mandy can find a roommate to help her split the bills, I’m in.”
“I want to be in,” he said with a wink.
They left the fish on the table to go cold.

“I should go back to the tent, talk to Mandy and Dr. Derek, while you’re at work.”
She’d totally neglected them. Other than exchanging a few texts, she’d only been back to the camp site once to grab a few clothes. Luckily the tent had been empty, and she’d been able to get in and out without having to interrupt their fucking. Plus, after her discussion with Tiburon last night, she needed to talk to Mandy about the apartment.
“Okay,” he said, tucking his water bottle into his backpack. “Meet me at the stand at eight?”
They walked to his lifeguard stand hand in hand. It felt nice, natural. As blazing hot as the past two days had been, they’d also been sweet, serene. If she wasn’t careful, she was going to fall in love with Tiburon.
No time for that. School starts in two months and you don’t do long distance relationships. She’d tried that route once before, and she’d ended up heartbroken and sexually frustrated. Never again.
“If they’re busy,” he said with a wink, “come and hang out on the beach with me.”
Eva smiled up at him. “Deal.”
When she got to the tent site, Mandy and Derek were sitting in camp chairs. Neither one of them looked happy. She tossed her tote bag onto the picnic table. “What’s the matter?”
Mandy pointed at Derek and he returned the favor.
“Let’s go for a walk, then Mandy. Give Derek some space.”
Her friend slipped into her flip-flops and they walked toward the beach. “What’s going on between the two of you?”
“The usual.” Mandy sighed. The two of them were like ice and fire, and keeping up with their relationship was like trying to follow a ping pong match on fast forward. They’d broken up and rekindled their romance more times than Eva could count.
“Is it anything serious?”
Mandy shrugged. “Not really. He’s just shallow and immature.”
As much as Eva loved Mandy, there were times she could say the same about her friend. “Is everything going to be okay?”
“Eventually. What’s the story with the new man you met?”
Eva felt her face flush. “He’s amazing.”
“In the sack?”
“All the way around.”
“That’s good. Think you’ll ever see him again after this week?”
Eva had tried very hard not to think about that. She’d kept her mind in the present, pushing all thoughts of not seeing him again to the back of her mind. “That’s what I need to talk to you about.”
Mandy stopped and turned to face Eva. “It’s too early for a pregnancy scare.”
“Way too early.” She’d thought of a dozen ways to bring up the subject but in the end, she decided to go with direct. “He’s asked me to move in with him.”
“It’s t
oo soon.”
“If I were you, I’d think the same thing, but this is different. I can’t explain it, but it feels like the right thing to do.”
“Do you think he might be The One?”
“It’s too early to say, but I’ve never felt this way before.”
“I want you to be happy.”
“Thank you. That means more to me that you know. But here’s the thing, we just signed a year’s lease, and I won’t leave you holding the bag. If you’re not comfortable finding another roommate, then I’ll stay. Tiburon and I can do long-distance for a while and see how it works.”
“I needed to talk to you, too,” Mandy said.
“About what?”
“Derek’s lease is ending and he wants to move in with us. Me.”
“Is that what you want?”
“I think it is.”
“But I thought the two of you were in an argument.”
“We were. I told him he couldn’t move in unless you were okay with it.”
Eva smiled. “Two birds with one stone, huh?”
Swimming in the Deep
Tiburon was glad to have Eva back in his bungalow. Something about her made him very territorial, and while he’d slept with a lot of women he’d never felt so connected, so bound to another person.
He was thrilled at the idea of her moving into his place. He never wanted to let her go.
How had she stolen his heart so fast?
He cuddled next to her on the sofa and inhaled her scent. Even though he rarely shifted these days, his sense of smell was still razor-sharp, and he’d know her scent anywhere. Sex with her was amazing, a level of pleasure he hadn’t known was possible, but this closeness was even better. He lost himself in her and was just about to doze off when she spoke.
“What’s this?” Eva asked. She rubbed her finger across the scar that ran from his hairline to the base of his neck. When she reached the bottom, near his collarbone, he winced. There was one part of the tracking device he’d never been able to remove.
Tiburon placed his hand over hers. “Just an old scar.”
“That must have heart like hell. Who stitched it? A blind man?”
He knew he had to tell her. While he’d had plenty of affairs, this one was shaping up to be more than just pleasurable entertainment. “No one stitched it. It just healed on its own.”
