  Her mouth dropped a little.

She was right; she might as well have been naked.

  Everything was out. Everything.

A black silk robe was on a hook behind the door.

“Am I supposed to wear this robe?” she called over the basketball game on the TV.

Was there a bedroom in this trailer?

  “Yes,” he answered.

Lyndie quickly reached for it, glad to have something to cover herself.

Lyndie came out of the bathroom, and, not even looking at her, Noa stood up and turned off the TV.

  “It fits?” he asked.

  “I… guess.”

  “Good.”

  He led her back outside.

“I thought we were staying in the trailer?” she whispered, trying to keep up with his quick steps.

The cool night air caught on her robe and she held the flap together tightly at her thighs. A pair of new black slippers had been tucked into the pocket of the robe. She was thankful for them keeping her feet off the gravel.

Once they were inside the warehouse again, he locked the door.

Lyndie kept her eye on him, not knowing what was going on.

This was far from their wedding night experience.

Noa pushed away from the door and crooked his finger for her to follow him.

Through the maze of cars, they made it to the corner of the garage. Inside a circle of gleaming and expensive sports cars was Deathstalker.

Noa took his cell out of his back pocket and set it on the windshield of one of the cars.

She barely noticed all of them were red. “You want me to ride with you on this?”

Noa pulled his t-shirt off, causing his nipple rings to shine bright in the light.

“Something like that.” He tossed the shirt. “I want the robe off.”

The jeans were tight, but fit low against his hips and looked new. For the first time, she noticed the dark wings on his back and the Death Skulls logo right below his shoulders.

The club must have meant a lot to him.

  “Did you hear me?”

  He was facing her now.

  “Yes,” she answered quickly.

The magnetism she felt toward him from the first day was still there. The intensity in his expression raised goosebumps on her arms. Noa leaned against the car, waiting.

  For her.

With numb anxious hands, Lyndie undid the sash on the robe. She barely felt the texture in her hands. As her heartbeat quickened, so did her movements. Looking everywhere except him, she dropped the robe from her shoulders.

The air in the garage was cool and dry. It wasn’t public, but it was unfamiliar. The air touched all parts of her newly exposed skin.

After a minute of silence, Noa pulled away from the car. Lyndie didn’t feel like she had any control in the moment and she didn’t know how to feel about it. Their first time at the motel, she’d been ready. Maybe then it was the specialness of the occasion that helped her shed her caution. But this was different. Noa was different.

Her breath was shallow by the time she attempted to look at him again. His eyes shifted as they slowly dragged over every strap.

Lyndie’s toes pressed against the slippers.

“Yeah, it fits,” he said finally.

After a sudden breeze, she looked around.

  “No one’s here but us.”

Her glance fell to below his waist again.

Noa wasn’t directly watching her then, but she knew he caught it.

His mouth flattened a bit before he closed the distance between them. Instead of standing in front of her, he walked around until he was behind her.

“It adjusts though,” he said near her ear.

Then his fingertips were on the bottom of her ass. They grazed her skin a few more times and the leather wrapped around the top of her thigh tightened a bit.

He repeated the action on the other leg, with his breath skimming her neck and shoulder. Noa’s finger followed the strap between her legs, pulling away right before touching wetness.

Lyndie worked hard to resist moving as an ache surged between her legs.

“You like wearing a ponytail?” He was still standing behind her, not touching, but his body heat was like a flame, and his voice was the match.

“I wear it to keep my hair off my neck when I’m working.”

“Mmm.” He made the little sound of understanding, she guessed. Then something pressed into the back of her neck: his tongue. It licked up from the top of her spine, stopping below her hairline. The ball of the tongue ring forced her shiver.

  “You’re not quite ready yet.”

He walked around her, returning to his bike, and lifted the seat.

What he pulled out was something white and long.

  It was her veil.

Lyndie could see the top button of his jeans was undone. Holding it high to not drag it on the ground, he stopped in front of her and put it on her head.

Noa quietly tucked the clips in her hair. The white sheer clouded her vision of him a bit.

Now she was the bride again.

She thought she’d lost it at the hotel because she only had the dress when she arrived home after the wedding.

But he’d taken it and kept it.

“Noa,” she breathed as he reached forward to lift up the veil over her head, “I shouldn’t have kept the truth from you.”

Her husband turned his head and clasped his lips to hers.

His lips stole her breath and her thoughts as they molded against hers. She felt the power behind each caress and stepped forward. The tips of her breasts grazed his chest. When she raised her foot to take a second step, two large hands grabbed her ass and yanked her forward.

Noa’s palm kneaded her bottom and his mouth added more pressure to hers.

He pulled back, nipping her lip a bit and pulling the lower part softly into his mouth. Both Lyndie’s hands were on his biceps, her nails on the verge of digging into his skin.

A loud echo hit the ceiling as he smacked her ass, just like he said he would.

Lyndie’s mouth opened to gasp, but Noa closed his mouth over hers again, drinking it along with her moan.

Using his firm hold on her bottom, Noa lifted Lyndie off the floor; her slippers dangled and dropped one by one.

Her breasts molded to him as he turned around and started walking with her, all the while his mouth nibbling her jaw and chin.

His hands were replaced by something cool as Noa set her naked ass down on the seat of his bike.

Lyndie immediately tightened her grip on his forearms, afraid she’d tip the bike.

“It’s on a stand,” he assured her.

A lock of coiling hair was in her hand; some of it spilled over his shoulder and she couldn’t help but touch it. She tried to look at him, but his eyes quickly lowered from hers. His mouth was flushed from kissing her, giving him a more devilish look than usual.

  If that was possible.

When he reached into his back pocket, he pulled out a condom.

Then he offered it to her between two fingers.

Lyndie adjusted her feet against the concrete before accepting it.

Noa unzipped his pants, quickly pushing them down and kicking them off.

In reflex, Lyndie almost crushed the wrapper in her hand.

A much-needed breeze swept over her ankles and thighs, and a soft shift of the fabric against her arm reminded her of her veil again.

  “Open it,” he said.

Lyndie did, tearing it with her fingers and pulling out the latex.

Noa took the packet out of her hand, leaving her holding just the condom.

  “Put it on.”

Lyndie leaned forward on the bike seat and placed the condom on his swollen cock head. She rolled it down as carefully as she could with fingers that weren’t so steady. The veins under the hard flesh pulsed under her fingers.

Suddenly the tip of her tongue felt dry. The wrapper crinkled in
his hand and was dropped to the floor.

A warm hand was on the inside of her knee. “I know you have a hard time with the bike, so…” He didn’t explain any further. A hand was on the small of her back and the other lifted her whole leg on the bike until she was sitting on it backwards.

Lyndie’s thighs rubbed against the metal.

Noa casually climbed on the bike, facing her.

Blue eyes roamed down her profile. Then his fingertips touched the straps under her breasts. “What a perfect bride you are tonight.”

Lyndie touched her shoulder, trying to move back some of the veil. “Noa…”

  “Lay back.”

Lyndie’s tongue hit the roof of her mouth and she shifted forward in the seat to lay back against the length of the large black motorcycle.

He lifted her legs, letting her knees bend in the crooks of his arms.

“You made a mess of my seat.”

Lyndie stared up at the ceiling, her heartbeat running away from her. His arms were like steel under her calves and she didn’t know where to put hers.

Her lower half was lifted high, causing her eyes to jerk down to see herself being offered to her husband, who bent his head between her legs.

His strong hold was the only thing that saved her.

The tiny nub that threatened to break her into a million pieces was being sucked into Noa’s mouth.

The wail she made intensified as she tried to lean her body away from his lips. but he just followed her and tightened his hold against her ass.

Noa’s tongue made slow licks over her fevered skin that left her trembling in his hands.

Slowly he lowered her body back down to the bike.

Noa stared down at her, dropping eye contact from hers to let his gaze wander down her body.

She glimpsed the ring again for a moment before he licked his mouth.

“Hold the bars. And don’t let go.”

Lyndie resisted the urge to shut her eyes, looking up to make sure her hands found the bars.

Her grip firmed as she felt him tug her hips down.

At the first touch of him at her entrance, she forced herself to relax. She wanted him so much she couldn’t think straight.

Her drenched body welcomed every steel inch of him with small pulses that made her whimper.

Blood coursed through her in a rush and her hardened nipples pushed up into the air.

With her head tilted back, her stare was on the bike’s visor as small cries emanated from her mouth. Her body began jerking upward.

Noa’s blazing skin pressed against her body each time he drove into her.

A low hiss burned through her lips. “Oh my God.”

Noa’s hands gripped around her hips as her fingers tightened around the bars.

She had no idea how long she would be able to hold on – to anything.

Her thighs squeezed his waist as her hips raised off the seat.

When Lyndie glanced down, Noa’s head was forward, his hair covering his face. A small grunt came from his and a series of short intense thrusts followed that made her scream.

A mouth latched down on her breast and he didn’t stop.

Overwhelmed, Lyndie’s hands dropped from the handles.

Without looking up, Noa caught her hand and wrapped it back around the bars, lacing their fingers over it.

His goatee tickled her chest as his head raised to her throat.

“God.” Lyndie’s head fell back against the metal as her orgasm hit hard.

“Fuck.” Noa’s voice was muffled by her chin as his body continued to rock hers.

Their bodies collided as they both cried out. Lyndie’s twisted hard beneath his until she was too drained to move.

She still hadn’t caught her breath when he picked her up.

He held her with her legs wrapped around his waist and lifted one leg off the bike after a quick dip.

She had no idea how he did it, just barely holding onto his shoulders.

  “Pick a car.”

His chest pressed into hers as he took in a breath.

  “What?”

  “Pick one.”

Lyndie pointed to the nearest car which had a white double stripe along the hood.

Noa walked them over to it and opened the back door.

He sat on the seat, still holding her, and laid down on his back.

Lyndie barely had time to brace her hands on his chest since he fell back so quickly. She’d have laughed if she wasn’t so out of it.

Instead, she lowered her head to his chest and closed her eyes.

“I should have gone back to my car,” she said as they pulled back up in front of her house.

“I want to make sure you get home. Vicky can bring you to get your car in the morning.”

Lyndie didn’t know what to say. She would just be glad to make it up her front steps.

She was back in her diner uniform. Like the last two hours hadn’t happened.

When her hand was on the door handle, he spoke. “If Durand knew he was Max’s father all this time, why were you broke that day when we met at the gas station?”

Lyndie felt her last bit of strength burn out. Why did he want to have this conversation now?

“He was mad at me for getting pregnant. He doesn’t have anything to do with Max.”

Something drained out of Noa’s face. It was the strangest thing.

  “You’re fuckin’ shittin’ me.”

“I trapped him. That’s his story and the town believes it.” Lyndie swiftly opened the car door and closed it behind her.

  Chapter Nineteen:

  Discovery

Noa, Chaos, and Bleed pulled up to the curb in front of the pharmacy in Amber Falls.

A few people on the street stopped and stared, but most walked faster to avoid them.

“Look at that, a pizza shop.” Noa raised a brow as they shut their bike engine’s off.

He hadn’t seen Lyndie, and when he tried to call her, she wouldn’t answer.

His consistency with fucking up should have been legendary.

Since he dropped her off at home, he’d focused solely on getting their businesses up and running. Thankfully, Tin had kept their conversations light or on work.

At some point, they were going to have to interact with the people here. Maybe if they actually saw they were civilized instead of spreading rumors, it would ease some of the tension.

Chaos and Bleed hadn’t been in the town outside of their first ride through, so they seemed pretty into checking out the exterior.

“This is interesting,” Bleed said, always a man of few but accurate words.

  “Is this pizza spot open?”

Noa peeked inside to see an old man behind the counter. He saw them too but continued to add fresh pizza to the display.

“Let’s find out.” Noa lowered his kick stand and got off the bike.

The door was open when he reached for it and the smell of pizza hit him hard in the face.

He hadn’t been hungry, but now he was.

“Morning, sir. Is your shop open?”

The older man slowly stood. “Yeah.” He glanced at the clock to see five minutes after eleven.

The two tables for dine in were clean and empty, resting against the wall.

Bleed and Chaos entered quietly behind them.

“We’re just here for pizza.” Noa held up both of his hands.

“Hope so, because that’s what I’m servin’.”

Noa watched the man’s deep brown hands rest against the white counter before holding his waist.

He didn’t seem scared, but cautious.

“Can we have a sample slice?” Bleed asked.

The man shrugged. “Sure.” He moved to grab them a slice, cut it into three, and served it on separate paper plates.

Chaos was the first to grab his and had a bite.

“It’s hot. It’s so warm and fresh,” he said out loud.

Noa had to grin at hi
s enthusiasm.

Bleed just made a noise as he chewed.

“I’m Noa,” he said, attempting to greet the man before taking up his plate.

  “Carl Baker.”

Noa nodded, deciding to skip all other formalities.

  “Death Skulls MC, hm?”

Noa swallowed the bite of pizza he took. It was pretty damn good.

“Yes. We are.” Noa was careful of his tone. The man was watching them all quietly, but there was something about him, something behind his eyes that Noa couldn’t quite pinpoint.

“There’s a lot of decent folk here. Like Langley said, we all try to get along. A lot of small towns aren’t like ours. A lot of biker gangs I’ve crossed have a lot of issues with that.”

Noa raised a brow, caught off guard by the man’s words.

He lowered the slice from his mouth before he’d taken his second bite.

“You have a point. We’ve met a few of those types ourselves.”

“But it’s not us,” Bleed added.

“It’s not Death Skulls and it’s never been.” Chaos’s mouth was full, but his words were clear.

The door behind them opened and they all quickly turned to see Will Durand, along with his Deputy and another cop he’d never seen before, enter.

“Mr. Baker is everything okay here?”

  “It’s fine, Sheriff.”

A few people were standing outside the window and across the street watching.

Noa’s good will toward Baker vanished at the sight of Durand.

All he could think about was him using Lyndie and leaving her with a kid.

The fact that he’d ever even touched her was enough for him to get tossed through the shop’s glass window.

“Langley said that you people were going to keep to yourselves.” The Sheriff never took his eyes off Noa as he spoke.

Noa just wanted to just lunge him. Since day one the hate had been organic but now…

And under any circumstances, he probably would have said fuck it and gave into the impulse. But he knew establishing a chapter here was important to Tin and he didn’t want to screw things up.

As hard as it fucking was, he had to keep a level head here. There was a time when he was a leader, so he knew how to see the bigger picture and keep controlled.
