  “I can help,” Vali put in and Ronan nodded.

  “I think we need a platform, built from wall to wall on the back nook of the bedroom,” I suggested, trying to be helpful.

  “I knew you liked my abs,” Vali commented, and I turned in confusion to find Alec Gaius’ eyes darting away from his stomach quickly.

  We stopped outside the room we typically used for shared lessons under Docents Murphy and Reid for Worship, and Alec Gaius was the first to step into my space and kiss me.

  “I’ll miss you too, Vali,” I murmured back, and he stepped back to join Alec Gaius. Pia stormed past him, going into the classroom with a flounce when Vali didn’t acknowledge her existence. Ronan turned to me, kissing me breathless and dominating my attention.

  “Be more careful,” he ordered in typical Ronan fashion.

  “Yes, Master Caveman,” I returned sardonically. His hand left mine slowly as he pulled back and kissed Emerson before the three of them walked down the hall to the foyer. Emerson made his way to me, wrapping an arm around me in support. He opened the door and allowed me to walk in before him.
