He poured the wine into two long-stemmed glasses and lowered himself beside her. "What?"
"Do you want to have a baby?"
His eyes widened and darkened to forest green. "Are you sure you're ready?I thought your career was important--"
"It is. But since we merged our businesses, I've realized I can have a career and a family."
"You really want a baby?"
The hope in his voice melted her insides. She moved closer to him. "I want your baby."
The wine was forgotten as he kissed her and laid her down on the blanket. He raised himself on his elbows. "I'll support you however I can. Bottles in the middle of the night, a housekeeper, a nanny..."
"The support comes later. Love me now."
"Now and forever," he whispered as his lips moved insistently against hers and his hands caressed her.
