Smiling Del resumed her work, suckling gently. She worked her hand slowly, knowing Raelin would be feeling some pain. The detective felt Raelin’s body trembling and she hummed her delight at the whimpers she heard coming from the witches lips.

Tossing her head to and fro, Raelin rolled her hips with Del’s thrusts, slowly bringing in more of her hand until she felt some pressure. Looking down into green eyes, she saw the love shining through them and knew that the time had come to break the barrier and she nodded her head.

Del rose to lean over her witch, a golden curtain of hair blocking out the world as they kissed. While Del’s left hand held tightly to Raelin’s, her right gently pressed deeper, breaking the barrier, knowing she’d been given a great gift. She deepened the kiss, hoping to distract Raelin from the slight burn she knew the witch was feeling. She swiped her thumb over Raelin’s clit, curling her finger at the same time.

Raelin’s body tensed slightly as she lost her one true gift to her love, but in the next breath there was a jolt of energy that spread out like a blanket of warmth. All of her nerves were now centered on the slow thrusting and curling of Delaney’s finger.

Del felt Raelin tense with the pinch, but relax as the pleasure took over. She continued the slow pace a few minutes longer, making sure Raelin was okay before she picked it up, pressing her own hips into each long thrust. She wanted to give Raelin the world, but settled with giving the witch her love instead. She felt Raelin’s thighs shaking, her whole body coiling, and she knew the witch was getting close.

“Delaney...I can feel you...I can feel your love,” the brunette breathed, her body was trembling, and her legs wrapped around the blonde’s hips, pulling her ever closer. “I feel everything.”

Delaney whimpered as she felt strong thighs squeezing her waist, and she slowly withdrew her finger, only to replace it with two. She pressed slowly, watching for any signs of discomfort; watching Raelin’s face as they moved together, her normally sun-kissed skin flushed pink with arousal, and nearly glowing under the bright light from the moon. She pressed kisses across Raelin’s face. “Tell me what you need Raelin.”

Feeling Del’s sweet breath against her face, Raelin smiled up at her lover. “I want more...I want you,” she was at a loss, unable to put her need into words.

Del grinned and once more slid down the lithe body beneath her, immediately latching on the throbbing bundle of nerves, and sucking rhythmically. Knowing Raelin was close, she curled her fingers, hitting the one spot she knew would send the brunette crashing over the edge.

Raelin’s body bucked under the onslaught and she screamed out her detective’s name. Fireworks were erupting behind her eyelids and her nerves firing all at once. This was more than she had ever imagined, and had hoped for. Screaming again as Del curled her fingers once more, the witch reached down with one hand, grasping the rich earth and pushed the power that was rolling through her into the ground, and the grass in the glen started growing until it was tall enough to hide their bodies from the outside of the circle.

Del let Raelin ride it out, bringing her down slowly before withdrawing and quickly crawling up Raelin’s body, rolling them over so she could cradle the witch in her arms. She brushed the sweat soaked hair off Raelin’s face, covering it with gentle kisses and murmuring words of love in her ear, “I’ve got you Darlin’. I’m right here, and I love you so very much.”

Tremors were still causing Raelin’s body to spasm in Del’s arms. Reaching up, she placed her fingers against Del’s lips, and whispered. “I love you and I love your lips.” The brunette smiled.

Del placed a kiss on the end of Raelin’s nose, and then again on her lips. “They love you too. You warm enough?” she asked rubbing her hands up and down Raelin’s back.

Moaning at the taste of herself on her lover’s lips, Raelin nodded her head, but then she shivered as a cool breeze cut through the grass. “Why don’t we take this back into our bed where we can really be comfortable?”

“I think that’s a good idea,” she hesitated a little giving Raelin a little squeeze mumbling into curls self-consciously. “Was it what you dreamed of for your first time?”

Rising up so that she could look her lover in the eyes, she smiled as she stated, “It was more than I imagined. You are everything I have ever dreamed of, Delaney Delacroix.”

Del returned the smile, sitting up to give the witch a quick kiss on the lips. She pulled the shirt out from under her and saw that it was Raelin’s, so she draped it around her shoulders, fastening the buttons down the front. She glanced around and quirked an eyebrow at the now tall grass around them. “You’re not going to make me mow all this now, are you?”

Shaking her head, Raelin laughed. “No, I’ll take care of this, but you might want to try and find your shorts, because I don’t see them.”

Del glanced around and sure enough couldn’t see them anywhere. “Oh hell, forget it. One of the advantages of loving someone taller than you. The shirts are always long enough to cover you,” she pulled on the button up shirt, smiling triumphantly when it hit mid-thigh. “No one’s going to see me this late. I’ll come back for them at some point.”

Grasping her lover’s hand, Raelin walked to the edge of the glen to where the rest of her clothes were. Dressing quickly, she then pulled the blonde against her, gasping at the contact. “I love you Del. Thank you loving me back.”

“Oh Darlin’, I could do nothing less. You’ve had me from that first look from across the street,” she smiled, “I love you too.”

  j

The walk back was shorter than the walk from the family plot, but Del’s whole body was humming. She felt closer to Raelin than she ever had, and she felt the brunette’s emotions singing through her veins. It was a beautiful night, if a little cool so they hurried back, wanting nothing more than to curl up with her witch and cuddle. Del watched as Raelin locked the doors and set whatever wards she needed, fascinated by the sight. Having set everything, and satisfied the house was secure, Del led Raelin by the hand to their bed. She stripped down and clambered up waiting for Raelin to join her.

“How about joining me in the shower, now that we can really enjoy it properly together?” Raelin unbuttoned her shirt, letting to fall to the floor before the rest of her clothes followed.

Del watched her as she stripped, smiling at the sight. “I’d say that’s a pretty good idea. Keep in mind you are probably going to crash any time now, so we best make it a quick one yes?” she asked, crossing to the bathroom to start the shower running.

Following the blonde into the bathroom, she stopped and looked at herself in the mirror. She knew that it was stupid, but somewhere in the deepest corner of her mind, she thought that she might look different after having giving her love to someone, but she didn’t, she still looked like the same ole Raelin.

She watched as her image lifted up a hand to hold her breast, feeling the weight, the texture, watching, as the nipple grew hard at her touch. Looking back in into her reflection’s eyes, Raelin smiled.

Del watched her witch as she regarded herself in the mirror. “I felt the same way after my first time you know. I thought maybe I’d be a different person, or I’d look a different way and people would know. It wasn’t true of course, I was still the same ol’ plain Jane Delaney, but I was a little paranoid for a while after,” she chuckled, thinking back on those younger days.

Turning her head so that she was looking at the blonde, Raelin smiled. “You are anything, but plain Jane Delaney. You are breathtakingly beautiful.”

“Perhaps now, but I was always a pretty dorky kid,” she regarded the woman closely, trying to get a feel for Raelin’s mood. She seemed in good enough spirits, but she knew the brunette could hide how she was feeling easy enough. “You okay with what we did?”

Turning, Raelin walked over to brush her hand against Del’s face before leaning down and softly kissing her. Murmuring against her lips, she whispered, “I am more than okay with what we did. I wanted
you to make love to me, and you did so perfectly.”

Smiling down at her love, Raelin sensed though that something was off. “What’s the matter? You’re not okay with it?”

“That’s not it at all. I’m more than okay with it. I love you and I’m honored that you would trust me with your body like that. You’ve just worn me out is all,” she chuckled. In reality, her shoulders and back were screaming at her, but she didn’t want Raelin feeling guilty for what had happened earlier.

Running her hands along Delaney’s shoulders, the witch could feel the knotted muscles, and as she felt deeper, could feel the strain that her lover had done to her back. “Why didn’t you tell me? I can help you with this.”

“Because you had other things on your mind, and I didn’t want you feeling guilty. I did what I had to do to keep you safe. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Besides, there’s no way I was going to let you hurt yourself more by pulling from the lines again. You shouldn’t have had to do it in the first place. This little bit of pain? It’s worth it to make sure you come home to me.”

Raelin picked up Del’s hand and placed it over her heart while she did the same with hers. Closing her eyes briefly, she concentrated before opening them back up to smile at her lover. “Do you feel anything?” she asked as her moved her other hand around to Del’s lower back.

Del closed her eyes, feeling a tingling slowly spreading up her spine. She opened them, flashing that wide grin of hers. “There’s a tingle spreading up my back. It’s warm, and it feels good.”

“Tell me where you are sore, and I’ll direct the energy there.” The witch continued to stare into green eyes.

“My shoulders and lower back. Are you sure, you should be doing this? I’ll be fine after a hot shower and bit of sleep.” Del pressed herself closer, loving how the taller woman’s curves fit perfectly into her own.

“My love, I’m not doing anything other than directing our love to places where you need it. We’re both probably gonna crash as soon as we hit the bed, but this way, neither one of us will be sore as I may need for you to do the same to me.” The witch was fighting the urge to take this woman again. With Del’s body pressed up against her, Raelin was having a very hard time concentrating.

Del could feel Raelin fighting the urge to take her. “None of that Darlin’, you and I both know that we don’t have the energy for what you’re thinking, as much as it pains me to admit,” she stepped back just enough to alleviate the temptation, but not enough to leave the woman’s embrace.

Sighing, Raelin just ran her hand along Del’s shoulder and back, feeling that the muscles and the tendons were much looser and more relaxed. “Okay fine then. Is that better?” She smiled down at the blonde.

“It’s amazing. Thank you. Tell me how I can help you,” she whispered, her fingers playing at the skin on Raelin’s waist

“If you could put her hands over my side, it’s still a little painful from the other day.” Raelin pulled the blonde back against her, using her aches as an excuse to feel the woman’s body against hers.

Del ran her hand up Raelin’s right side, hoping she was helping. “Is it helping?”

“You have no idea how much it is helping, but I think that we should get into the shower. I’m suddenly finding it very hard to keep my eyes open.” The day was finally catching up with the witch.

Del stepped back and into the shower, drawing the brunette in by her hand. “Let’s get you cleaned up and tucked into bed then.”

  j

As Raelin tossed the towel into the hamper, she turned off the light and headed towards the bed where Delaney was waiting on her. She smiled as she got close enough to see that the blonde was almost asleep. Lifting up the sheet, she crawled in and snuggled close, drawing Del into her embrace.

“Raelin, can I ask you something?” she asked curling comfortably into the other woman’s chest.

“You can ask me anything you want Darlin’. I thought that you were already asleep.” Raelin kissed the blonde head.

“I’m getting there, but I was thinking. Earlier, when you made love to me, I looked down and your eyes, they were a golden color. Almost like honey. I would have mentioned it, but I was a little preoccupied at the time.” Del wrapped an arm around Raelin’s waist, keeping her close.

For a second, Raelin looked confused and then she smiled. “Do you remember what I was doing at the time?”

“It’d be hard to forget. Why?” Del asked confused. “It wasn’t the first time you made love to me, and your eyes always go darker not lighter. Especially not an almost different color altogether.”

“This time, when my mouth was on you, I was breathing my love into you, and...sometimes sexual energy can make someone look slightly different. All I can assume, is that with us, my eyes will change.” Raelin watched Del’s face for her reaction.

Del let the words sink in for a minutes. “Your face will change someday? Or just your eyes? I’m sorry if that’s a rude question, I just want to understand you better.”

“No, nothing that drastic. Eye color, hair color, but it won’t last for long. Emotions can make subtle changes in everyone’s appearance. When you get mad, your eyes get darker; your skin can become flushed...it’s the same when we make love,” suddenly Raelin grew fearful; maybe this was something that they should have talked about before she had let Del touch her. “Uh...sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. Um...would you excuse me for a bit?” The witch started to get out of bed.

“Whoa now.” Del caught Raelin and pulled her back to the bed playfully. “I’m not scared. I just want to know you better. Your magic and abilities are a very important and big part of you. That makes it important for me too. I just want to understand that part of you so I can support you. That’s all.”

Raelin gaze up at her lover, and whispered, “This is all new for me too Del. I’m guessing on some of this, but I don’t want my abilities to push you away.” Closing her eyes, she sighed and then took a deep breath. “I think that we both need some sleep. This has been an emotional day and it’s taking its toll on the both of us.”

Del regarded her witch closely, making sure that it was okay to table this for another time. “Okay, we do need sleep and I’m sure things will be much clearer in the morning. Besides,” she started, a wide devilish grin spreading over face “I’ve got me some bad guys to fry.”

“Try to control yourself Slick. I’d like to make sure that you’re gonna be around for a long time to come.” Raelin pulled the woman into her embrace.

“They aren’t going to get off easy for what they did to you, but I’ll try to behave none the less,” she settled into Raelin’s warmth, her eyes drooping, easily imagining falling asleep the same way for years to come. “Goodnight Raelin, sleep sweet. I love you.”

“Fresh dreams Darlin’.” Raelin kissed the blonde head and soon joined her lover in the land of Morpheus.

  A Chapter 18 a

Kasey stretched as well as she could with Jenny’s slight weight sprawled across her. For such a small girl Kasey was surprised at how much room she took on the small bed. She smiled down at the girl on top of her. She hadn’t meant to stay the night in this bed, but Jenny had asked her to stay close, needing another person close after the day’s ordeal. She’d agreed readily, knowing she was in deep trouble with this one. She stayed where she was, deciding to let Jenny wake on her own.

Jenny had never slept with anyone in her young adult life, so waking up on top of Agent Kasey Spaulding was an experience. One that she was thinking that she might like to do again. Raising her head, she found that she was being stared at. “Morning...”

Kasey smiled at the sleepy looking girl, blinking blearily up at her, her voice still thick with sleep. “Morning sleeping beauty. Did you sleep all right?”

Clearing her throat, Jenny nodded her head. “Yes, thank you, did you?”

“Yeah I did. First time in a while. You think it’s safe to go get some breakfast?” she asked, not even noticing how h
er hands had moved to Jenny’s waist.

Jenny decided that she liked watching Kasey talk. “I don’t see why not. Rae will probably sleep in, and I doubt that Del will want to be too far away. What would you like for breakfast? I’ll be glad to fix it for you,” she stared at the young woman’s mouth, awaiting her response.

Well aware of Jenny’s stare, Kasey felt her face flush. “Well I’m not fussy. I can help though. I’d be glad to make some breakfast of you. With you. Make breakfast with you, not of you.” Kasey stopped to take a deep breath, feeling the burning on her cheeks. She took a deep breath, mentally cursing her awkwardness. “French toast?”

Jenny grinned at the slip. “It’s a bit too early to make a breakfast out of me, but I will take it under advisement for a future time. French toast sounds heavenly.”

Kasey’s eyes went wide at Jenny’s words. “So we better get out there, before I do something even more embarrassing.” She tried to extract herself from under Jenny but only managed to slide off the side of the narrow bed, headfirst on her back, ending up half on the floor and half on the bed.

“Kasey!” Jenny bit her lip to keep from laughing as she bent down to help the young woman stand. “Are you all right?”

“Oh uh I’m fine. Nothing hurt but my pride I guess.” She retrieved her gun and its holster from the nightstand, turning away as she threaded it onto her belt and then around her waist. She took the opportunity to calm herself, hoping the blush on her cheeks would fade some. “Let’s go see if we can’t cook something to eat. “

“Do you need me to kiss anything to make it feel better?” Jenny asked with a teasing twinkle in her eye.

Kasey sucked in a breath at the words and before she knew what was happening, a yes flew out of her mouth. “I mean, no. No, I’m fine, I think. Damn it!” she grumbled. She’d always been a little shy around people and seriously hopeless around people she was attracted to. It’s why she’d joined the F.B.I. She didn’t need to be charming; she just had to put the bad guys away. That, she could do.
