  The Shoot

“Alright people, do we have everything set for the shoot?” Ian asked, “Models checked in and accounted for?”

“Lights, camera, action!” the chime in from his assistant. “Negative on the check in…we’re one shy of the trio you ordered up. Aaaa…” she flipped through notes and other rumpled sheets of paper, “Naomi is M.I.A. calls have been made and I understand she’s on her way, as we speak.”

‘My hot chocolate girl? Nooooo’ thought the photog. “We’ve got perfect light right now, I hope she gets here soon.” He was getting nervous.

“I’m here!” the breathless call from the crowd. “Sorry I’m late. Wish I had a better excuse than missed my alarm.” Her dark skin camouflaging a distinct blush in her cheeks.

The photographer’s sly smile was well hidden, “To the dressing trailer with you, girl. Git!”

“On my way.” Her spirits lifted realizing he was the guy from the lingerie shop window! ‘Holy shit…it’s him!’ she thought.

Just seeing that now familiar glint in his eye, and almost a smile, she tingled from head to toe. “Damn, this could get difficult to focus on, girl.” Mind racing, face flushing, body following suit. She rolled her top over her head, smiled that her nipples were at full attention just from this new revelation that it was ‘her’ man taking the shots today.

A dampening thrill ran through her as jeans peeled down over sensitive legs. “Oh yeah, this is going to be…interesting.”

She had gotten past the ‘not a chance’ phase and decided she wanted to try and find him again, if she could. And now, the universe had seen fit to drop him in her lap. “Nice…” What did she have to lose? He’d be with someone already, married, gay? That would just put her right back where she started, not really a loss. “I have to know.” She reassured herself as she slid the thong for the shoot up her thighs, the silky cloth felt good against her skin. Fastening the half cup bra in front, turning the hook to her back she leaned forward to fill the cups.

A perfect fit, the set hugged her curves, showing off exposed, radiant dark skin. Another “Ohhhhhh yeah” escaped her at the vision of her in the mirror as she adjusted. Bullet hard, puckered, dark cocoa points straining against and showing through the thin material.

She jumped at a knock on the door, “Five minutes, Naomi.” from an assistant.

  “On my way.”

She grinned as she pulled the thin material of the thong to one side, and dabbed at her already swollen flower. “On…my…way.”

“Welcome, Naomi!” Ian called out as she exited the dressing trailer.

“We have perfect light, warm sun and turquoise blue skies…just right for a beautiful shoot of some beautiful ladies today.” He clapped his hands together anxiously, “Let’s get some pics, shall we?”

He could not tear his gaze away from the slinky walk of those long, dark legs. “Mmmmm…” nearly slipped out aloud as he raised his lens to start snapping casual shots, almost always get some great pics that way. And, a good way to get some extras of ‘her’. “Damn…I KNEW I got the right set for her.” He quietly mused while framing her curves in the shot. “The color goes so well with her tone. And, mmmm those hips, and oh those beautiful lips.” In such a very short time, he had it bad.

“Right over here, ladies. The skyline in the background will look pretty hot…just move as natural as possible. I want it to look like real women, not plastic. Smiles, not pouts, please.” He snapped away, exchanging cameras to try and capture all of the beauty…the light, shadows that fell across shoulders, light that caressed bare skin.

“A little more reflective light from the right, please.” He instructed the assistants. “Nice.” Renewed glow radiated across the three models casting shadows across torsos in just the right places.

He had to remind himself to focus. He began obsessing on the visual of the curvy, dark skinned object of his new passion in his viewfinder.

“Three ladies, Ian…get all three in the pics.” He smiled at his very human flaw as he centered the shot and kept clicking.

“Ok, my beauties, thanks for the smiles…now I want smoldering. Imagine it’s a beautiful summer night, you’re downtown in a clingy dress, warm breezes caressing you. Close your eyes and think of a lover doing the same. I want to see passion without seeing your eyes. Show me what you’re feeling when you think of them.”

All three started swaying to the soft jazz, slyest smiles curled lips, hands running through hair dancing on the breezes.

“That’s it, that’s it…very nice.” Click, click, click…” Great job all, that looks nice. Keep moving, keep thinking of your favorite admirer. Think sensual, soft.”

Her mind wandered, Naomi returned to her bath of last night, sensing his hands playing over soft, exposed skin. If you asked her family, they would be adamant that this was very wrong. They were racist, to say the least. Well dad and brother anyway. But, she just didn’t care. It was right for her. Color just didn’t have a say anymore. She wanted him.

Click, click, click. “These are going to be fantastic…just right.” Time simply flowed, position changes, light shifts, click, click, click. “We’re nearly finished, peepes…just a couple more for insurance.” Click, click.

As he snapped away, his thoughts returned to her over and over, he watched her move within the viewfinder, he fantasized how it might be to have her as his own “Damn, Ian ya’ just met her.” She may not even like pale guys, might even be prejudiced, for all he knew . She may be married, spoken for, even gay.

He questioned his growing obsession. And, yet he had to try. Balck and whites in love was still wrong in the eyes of some, but he didn’t care. He just had to know…had to try.

  “Mmmm…she is SO fine.”

  “Mmmm…he is SO fine.”

The spark between them did not go unnoticed, crew and other models had varying degrees of smirks as they witnessed the chemistry flow between them.

Ok, people. That, as they say, is a wrap.” Clapping his hands he added, “Fantastic shoot today. I believe we created some gorgeous shots for the ads. Thank you all very much!”

He caught Naomi’s eye as they all began to disband for the day. Neither moved for what seemed an hour, holding the smoldering gaze that passed between them. Time stood still for them as the world continued on around them. A knowing smile played across both of their faces and they finally moved toward each other, not a word shared between them. Hearts began to beat faster, lips parted to drink in more air as they neared.

Simultaneously, they spoke of their mirrored feelings, “I have to know…” Both laughed out loud at the exact chosen words.

“Heheh, as for me, the answer is without a pause, yes.” Ian blurted. A little embarrassed at his excitement, evidenced by a growing, a hardening. He tried in vain to hide it.

“Seriously? I feel the same way! Ever since I saw you picking out lingerie…I…I just knew.” ‘Not to mention my gushing over you in my bath last night.’ her silent addition. And she had been right, nobody else would want the thong she wore, it was quite…damp in spots.

  “You stalking me, Naomi?”

“Nope, just happened to be there on my lunch hour, looking in the window when you were inside.”

“Surrrre…” he smiled that disarming grin.

“I’m serious!” she laughed. Her heart fluttered at his smile. Her thoughts echoed her heart, ‘I don’t care who says what, this feels right. I have to try.’ She convinced herself to still her father’s judgmental voice. This was her decision, not his.

“Would you like to get a cup of coffee together? There’s a great little bistro two blocks from here.” He tried to silently convince her, ‘This is once in a lifetime feeling, say yes, please say yes.’

‘This is unbelievable, he feels as strongly as I do.’

Now it was her smile that disarmed, “Yes, yes I’d love to!”

Reaching out with a hand, he held his breath until she softly slid hers into his. Both felt t
he jolt of electricity that new love brings and in that moment, they knew.

He raised a brow. “Naomi, you look so hot. I want to know what you’re wearing beneath your clothes while we walk…keep the lingerie from the shoot on?”

She smirked and looked at the ground for a moment.

‘She still doesn’t know just how beautiful she is…’ he mused, ‘she will. From now on…she will.’

  And so, love begins.

  …Stirling Llewellyn…

“Rrrrr…done.” Her smile said it all. This was going to be good.

  A Secret Love Story

  By Lady Aingealicia

  Memories

Rebecca had known Jedidiah’s family forever. They were neighbors and often enough Levi was over at the house to help Paul with the back forty. Emma had taught Rebecca a great deal as she had grown up, since her mother had passed during childbirth. It was not unusual for them to have dinner together once or twice a week until Rebecca was old enough to handle the chores. It was a simple life, without the complications that the new world provided. Rebecca had never even left the farm to go celebrate Rumspringa, the coming of age tradition in the community. She knew where she belonged, she just hoped in her heart of hearts that Jedidiah would as well.

  Spring Arrives

Rebecca looked over the field as her father, Paul worked the plow horse. She washed the dishes as the spring gave her a breath of fresh air. She knew that tonight was prayer service and a pot luck. She had already put the stew on the stove to cook. Soon she saw Katura crossing to the house and they would fix lunch for both families. It had been this way for as long as Rebecca could remember.

Rebecca had only known the community, her father and their neighbors. She had never had the desire to see the outside world. She knew her mother was a kind, God fearing woman that had passed too soon. She had never got to meet her mother. Susan had passed during childbirth. She had known the Otto family since the time she could talk. Very often Emma would take care of her while her father worked.

This had allowed for her to become very close and she considered herself fortunate that she had two families in her life. Every time she went to church she said a prayer for her mother and often felt that she was watched over from unseen places. At a very young age she would follow Jedidiah around like puppy dog. It was frowned upon after a certain age; that did not seem to stop her. She knew who her betrothed was.

Katura came in and washed her hands. Smiling at Rebecca, she hugged her and the girls finished the dishes together. Then went to do the wash. Picking up a wooden laundry basket full of clothes to be dried, they walked out to the clothes line. Each of them began to hang up clothes as the wind gently blew. Both were silent, there was no need for unnecessary words in their world.

Rebecca thought of the upcoming dinner ahead and smiled. She wanted to make her father proud and see how Jedidiah responded. She wanted his approval so very much. As Rebecca and Katura moved around the house, making sure that all was in its place, they sat down to finish a wedding quilt that needed to be done. Katura was to be wed at harvest time to Samuel. The girls had been working on her quilt for the wedding night.

They sewed each stich with love as Rebecca dreamed of her wedding day. She thought that soon Katura would know how it would felt to be able to have a husband to please and tend to. She smiled at that thought. With each stich, time moved quickly and soon the door opened and Paul walked in. He looked at them at the table and smiled.

“Katura, tis always good to see you.” He nodded and placed his hat by the door. “Rebecca the stew smells good for tonight.” He went and washed his hands. He was impressed with how well Rebecca had grown up and was able to take care of a household with ease. He knew she would make a good wife. When he came back downstairs a simple lunch was placed on the table.

He sat and said grace. Soon they were eating in silence and Paul got up to go back out to the field. Rebecca and Katura cleaned the table together as they began to get ready for the nights events. Katura went home help with chores and change for the evening and Rebecca went upstairs. Finishing up what chores needed to be done, she placed Katura’s quilt away. She lost herself in little things to do around the house and soon it was time to get ready to go.

Placing her ash blonde hair in a bun neatly, she put the white prayer covering, finding her white apron on she headed downstairs to meet her father. The stew was ready to go. Placing on her cape, they walked to the prayer house and the meeting began. The women sat on one side and the men on the other. Paul and Rebecca sat with the Otto family.

As Rebecca and Katura helped Emma set up for the dinner, the men spoke of the coming year and what would need to be done for the harvest in the fall. Including a new barn raising for the Katura and Samuel. They would live nearby both the Otto’s and Paul. As soon as the service was done, everyone would sit and eat.

Rebecca saw Jedidiah walk in and smiled. He had found yellow flowers somewhere in his walk. He waved to Rebecca and held up the flowers. She blushed. She remembered the first time he had brought her flowers. It was in the middle of summer and he had found a patch of daisies. She knew then they were meant.

Almost dropping a bowl, Emma caught it and looked at Rebecca. Shaking her head, she smiled softly at Rebecca. She knew where her head was and it was not here. She was thinking of days in the past. When she had less to do and could day dream all day long. Tapping Rebecca on the back of her shoulder, she turned and Katura handed her bread for the table. The women continued to move around placing out the food and drinks that would be served.

Soon the service started and Rebecca sat between Emma and Paul in the pews. Stealing glances at Jedidiah as she could. He sat three people down from her. He would glance over at her and as their eyes met, she would blush. They had often worked together in the harvest and for some reason she was always next to him when they would bring it in. Other than that, they did not have much time together.

He would bring her little things he would find or carve. She would keep the wooden trinkets her hope chest at the end of her bed and dry the flowers for photos. He never knew that she did that until later. When they worked in the field, they would talk about what they wanted. He knew that he wanted to see the world. He was going to go on Rumspringa as soon as he could.

That was the longest time for Rebecca in the community. When he was out in the world finding himself. He finally came home. It was the one time he brought back gifts with him for everyone in is family and for Paul and Rebecca. She remembered it so clearly, he had brought her a dozen yellow roses. He said that it reminded him of her in the city when he went.

  Summer Heat

As the time passed, things did not change much in the community. Everyday there were chores, sewing bees, singing, service and the harvest to look forward to. Rebecca and Jedidiah would work to find time with each other, they knew that the time would come in the fall when harvest came. That was always their special time. It was something both of them looked forward to.

Emma and Rebecca were busy preparing things for two households. The canning would come soon enough. They had plenty to do. Katura was to be married the first week after harvest and it was the first wedding that would happen for the year. There was much to prepare for such a simple, beautiful service. There were their own personal gardens to be taken care of, clothes that needed mended or sewn.

Rebecca had been working on the quilt with Katura when they could. Katura became more excited as the harvest got closer. They had much to talk about at that time. What it would be like to be on their own, in of her own to take care of, to have a family. Rebecca could see the excitement in Katura’s eyes. It was an exciting time.

Paul came in one day with Jedidiah after working in the field. She smiled brightly as she served dinner to them. Jedidiah touched her softly every time he could. She would blush as she listened to the talk between Paul and Jedidiah. He would look over at her with his soft blue eyes and grin. He knew she
was excited for the upcoming wedding of his sister and Samuel.

He remembered when he knew he loved Rebecca, it was while he was out on his Rumspringa. While he worked in the city and experienced life out in the world, every time he would pass by a yellow flower he would see her smile in it and he knew he had to come home to be with her. He remembered watching her brown eyes light up when she saw the roses.

“It looks like it will be a good harvest Sir.” Jedidiah said as he ate the roast and potatoes. “Good meal Rebecca.” He nodded her way and smile. He saw she was cutting the chocolate cream pie. She knew that was his favorite. He noticed that she had shaved chocolate on top of the pie.

“I made your favorite Pa and Jedidiah.” Rebecca smiled proudly. She served them each a piece to see how they would respond. The clean plates said it all. “Now don’t you both go working too hard.” She said as they headed back out into the field. She watched them walk back into the field of corn. It was growing better than it had in many years. Rebecca knew that meant it was going to be a good harvest.
