Androdgyny--An Erotic Memoir

by Lee Dorsey

The next morning, I awakened before Jenny. I tried not to disturb her as I got out of bed and went into the shower. It wasn’t long before the shower door opened. Jenny stepped inside. This time there was no fooling around. We hurried through getting washed. After drying off, Jenny went into her bedroom to get dressed. I put on a pair of jeans and a top and went downstairs. Jenny was already in the kitchen. She was preparing our breakfast. I sat down at the kitchen table. I inquired what was for breakfast.

"Eggs and sausage,” was her answer.

I had some ideas about plays that had scenes for two actors. Most of the plays I was familiar with, however, had scenes for a man and a woman. I mentioned that fact to Jenny. She was confident that there were many scenes for two women. She suggested that we rely on the librarian to assist us.

We ate our breakfast, cleaned off the table and put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Ten minutes later, we were walking into the library. We approached the information desk. We were greeted by a very nice young woman. We made our request. She typed something into her computer. Several items appeared on the screen. She printed out the information and handed it to Jenny. There were fourteen plays that had scenes with two women. It also indicated that the mentioned plays were in the library. We checked the Dewy Decibel numbers. I found the appropriate aisle. According to the library policy, we were limited to three plays each. We narrowed down our selections to plays that had scenes where the characters were closer to our age. My selections were ‘Bottles of Wine’, ‘A Scornful Woman’ and ‘It Was an Accident’. Jenny selected ‘Dog Hair’, ‘The Cellar’ and ‘You’re Laughing at Me.’ All of the scripts we selected had characters with women in their twenties.

After we pulled the scripts from the shelves, we walked back to the woman at the information desk. We thanked her for the assistance. We checked the scripts out and left the library. I suggested we find a local printer and make copies. That way we would have the material to use at our leisure. Jenny said that she remembered noticing a local printer while walking around the neighborhood when I was in Kansas.

The Printer took the scenes from the scripts and copied them for us. She charged us twenty-five cents a page. Very reasonable, I thought. I couldn’t wait to get back to the house and begin studying. When we got to the house, we sat down at the kitchen table and began to leaf through the material. After an hour, we decided on a scene from a play entitled ‘Dog Hair’ to begin memorizing. There are two characters, Gina and Michelle. Gina tries desperately to get her roommate Michelle through a serious hangover and off to a job interview in which she is running late, but her approach backfires. The play is a comedy.

We took the scenes to our respective rooms and began the process of memorization. We agreed that we would study until dinner time. We figured it would be enough time to learn the lines. After dinner, we would rehearse the scene in the living room.

Over the next four weeks, we studied and rehearsed all of the scenes from the plays. We also had interludes of sex together. On two occasions, Ted stopped by for dinner. He joined us for a threesome. All in all, it was a very busy four weeks.

Finally, it came the day for us to begin classes at our respective schools. We decided that first morning, to have breakfast at a small restaurant. It was located within walking distance of the two theaters. About fifteen minutes before the classes were to begin; we left the restaurant and went our separate ways.

I had a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach as I walked through the glass doors of the theater. There was a big sign in the lobby with an arrow pointing to a stairwell off to the right. It directed the students to class. I walked down the stairs. Directly in front of me was a door with a sign "Class Room” taped on it. I opened the door and entered. There were chairs placed around the room. Many of the chairs had students seated on them. I estimated that the majority of them were about my age. There was a very attractive woman sitting in the circle. She appeared to be in her mid-thirties. I stood frozen for a moment until the woman spoke.

"Please come in and take a seat. I am going to begin the class in a moment.” She stood and walked to the wall. There she pulled down a rolled up teaching aid. Written on the aid was the instructor’s name (Nicole LaBonti). The title of the course was also listed, (Stage Movement). Miss LaBonti was very thin. She was also stunningly beautiful. She had the appearance of a Ballerina. When she walked back into the center of the room, she did so with a grace that demanded everyone’s attention.

She began the class by saying, "Good morning. All of you here this morning are our first year students. The second year students are in another class. However, when you get further along with your theater education, there will come a time when the two classes will work on certain projects together.” She was carrying a clipboard that she began to refer. "When I call your name, please raise your hand.” The student’s names were in alphabetical order. As the students names were called, Ms. LaBonti made eye contact with them. When she called the woman’s name sitting next to me, she hesitated for a moment. The woman whose name was Tanya, in my opinion, was at least ten years senior to all of the other students in the room. I was curious who she was and what she was doing there.

When the roll call was complete, Ms. LaBonti said, "I would like each one of you when I call your name to come to the center of the room. Give some background about yourselves. Tell the class your name, where you are from and explain your theatrical background. When making your statement, address everyone in the circle.”

The student sitting next to me was called. She walked to the center of the room and began to address the other students. She said her name was Tanya. She was from California. The purpose for her being there, she said, was for a career change. For the past ten years, she did voiceovers for a major studio and several broadcasting facilities. She mentioned that she had the ability to change her voice and create many different characters. She now wanted to do some legitimate acting. Maybe even work on or off Broadway. When she finished, she returned to her seat. She gave me a smile. I knew that we were going to become good friends. The chemistry was there.

There were twenty-five students in the class. During the first hour, we only managed to get through about twelve. Ms. LaBonti said, "I’m going to give everyone a ten minute break. We stepped out of the class. Many of us went in search of the facilities. While I was washing my hands in the ladies room, I was standing next to Tanya. I decided to break the silence between us. "How long have you been in New York?” I inquired.

"Two weeks. What about you?” she asked.

"I arrived here in July. I managed to find a place to live. Then I went back home for a few weeks. I am now settled in for the duration. New York is going to be my home for the unforeseeable future.” I decided that at some future time, I would invite her to my house for dinner. But I decided to put that invitation in abeyance. We walked together back into the class.

The remainder of the students took their positions, one by one, in the center of the room. After another break Ms. LaBonti said, "It appears that we have a wide variety of talent in this class. It’s going to be interesting working with all of you. I am going to ask each one of you to perform one of the monologues that you performed when you auditioned for the Board of Directors. Depending on the monologue, I would like you to select one or more of the other students and play it to them. Are there any questions?”

Everyone was quiet. "Good,” she said. Then let us begin. She called the first student on her list. The student stood and walked to the center of the room. He was a young man about my age. As he began his monologue, I immediately recognized it. It was a scene from the "Matchmaker” where Cornelius addressed the audience. Listening to him, I had to admit that he was head and shoulders better than the actor we had play it at the college.

As the other students were giving their monologues, I looked around the room to identify a young man to whom I could play my Juliet. One young, handsome man was sitting directly across from where I was loc
ated in the room. I was going to cross, take him by the hand and move him with me to the middle of the room. Once we were established there, I would begin the monologue directly to him. At the end of my presentation, I would take him into my arms and kiss him. Although the scene didn’t call for a kiss, I wanted to show Ms. LaBonti I could improvise and add my own creative touch to a scene.

All of the students that performed before me were very promising actors. I knew that I was facing some stiff competition when it came to getting cast in one of the "Black Box” productions the school puts on from time to time.

When it came my turn to perform, I did exactly what I had planned. When I approached the young man, he got a surprised and almost frightened look on his face. I could see his mind turning over wondering if I was some wacko or if I was just attempting something creative. When we got to the center of the room and I began to speak, I could see in his eyes that he was getting into the scene. He made an excellent Romeo. I must say, however, the kiss set him back on his heels. When we finished the scene, the students and Ms. LaBonti applauded us.

When I sat down, I glanced at my watch, it was twelve noon. Ms. LaBonti said that we had an hour and a half for lunch. I turned to Tanya and asked her if she wanted to join me for lunch.

"What do you have in mind?” she asked.

"There’s a nice little deli across the street from the theater. I’ve had lunch there in the past and it’s pretty good,” I said.

"Let’s go.” She followed me out the door.

The deli was crowded with many of the students from the school. Office workers in the area were taking their lunch break as well. It was good that we had an hour and a half for lunch. Otherwise, we would have never gotten served.

Tanya and I eventually got seated and placed our order. I questioned Tanya about her other professional life. She told me that as far back as she could remember she knew her calling was in some form of show business. At a very early age, she began forming a repertoire of voices. Because of her unique ability to vocalize a wide range from children to the elderly, she was always in demand. There were times when she would have to turn work down. After ten years, it was only as satisfying as when she started out. That’s when she decided to raise the bar and come to New York. There weren’t a lot of things about acting that she was familiar with. Rather than begin by going to auditions, she decided to get some professional training.

Tanya began to ask me questions about what I dreamed of doing in the theater. I told her about my dream of getting a solid theatrical education and then begin to audition for Off-Broadway productions. "That would prepare me for the big time on Broadway and maybe films.” Then she gave me a compliment.

"That scene you performed today with the young man indicated to me that you have what it takes to be successful in show business. For what it’s worth, I think someday you’re going to be a big star,” she said with a tone of sincerity.

Needless to say, she made my day. We finished our lunch and returned to the theater. The afternoon session was all about movement. Ms. LaBonti gave us a series of exercises to improve our movement. She even gave us some things we could do with our hands while on stage. She said one of the biggest problems actors have when beginning in the business is what to do with their hands. Most actors in the beginning feel self-conscience about what to do with their hands when they are not speaking. The suggestions she gave us were informative and helpful. She would have us sit in the middle of the room and practice. I would focus on one of the students as if they had the stage and I wasn’t active vocally in the scene. I remembered back when I was doing the "The Matchmaker,” I experienced that problem in a few non-vocal scenes. With just a few of the suggestions Ms. LaBonti imparted, she cleared up my problem.

The rest of the day went by quickly. Before I knew it, the class was over and I was leaving. As I walked into the lobby I saw the Director of the theater. "How was your first day, Androgyny?” he inquired.

"It was interesting. I’m looking forward to my next class,” I responded.

"That’s good! That’s very good! I look forward to seeing you tomorrow,” he said.

I left the theater. I began to walk toward a little restaurant that was located between Jenny’s theater and mine. When I entered, I notice Jenny sitting at a table in the back. I walked over and sat down. The first few moments, we sat in silence. Then I inquired as to her day.

"It was wonderful. The teachers are all professional actors and dancers. I learned so much in just one day. I can hardly wait until tomorrow.”

"My day, it seems, was a carbon copy of yours. Let’s order a bottle of wine and celebrate.” The waiter came over and we ordered the wine. "I can hardly wait until we begin improvisations and scenes from plays. There are so many talented young people in my class, it going to be a privilege to work with them.” I took a slight pause. "The instructor required all of us to perform the monologue we presented to the Board of Directors. I did the scene from Romeo and Juliet. I selected a young man sitting across from me to fill in as Romeo. His expressions and body movements helped me fall in love with him while I was reciting my lines. When I finished, I took him in my arms and gave him a passionate kiss. Everyone was in a state of surprise including the young man. There was silence before everyone, including the instructor, broke into applause. That acknowledgement gave me a wonderful feeling. It reinforced what I already knew. Actors work for applause. It feeds their ego. We all need it.”

"My day wasn’t nearly that exciting, but I was impressed with my instructor. I made a few friends. Maybe after a few weeks, you can invite some of your student friends and I’ll invite a few of mine for a get-together,” Jenny suggested.”

"We should begin tomorrow compiling a list of who we would like to invite.” The waiter brought our wine. "Why don’t we stay here and have dinner. It’s my treat,” I said.

"That sounds like a plan,” she responded.

At that point, I wanted to touch her. I reached under the table and put my hand on her thigh. One of the things that attracted me to her in the very beginning was her firm thighs and ass. It makes my day when I have my face buried between those lovely, firm thighs. Feeling her body moving around and exploding from my manipulations is one of things that make my life worth living. She instinctively knew what I was thinking.

She looked at me and said, "When we get home, I’ll be all yours.”

Those words got my blood boiling. At that moment, I almost wished we were at home having dinner. I would stop what I was doing, put her up on the dining table and eat her until she screamed for me to stop. My erotic thoughts were interrupted by the waiter taking our dinner order. Afterwards, I thought how funny it was that food and sex seem to go together. Millions of times a day, people around the world are seduced over a dinner. Dinner is usually the beginning of the seduction process.

We finished the bottle of wine and ordered another to drink during dinner. Halfway through dinner, Jenny told me that Ted had called her. He invited her out on a date. "Did he invite me as well?’ I inquired.

"He didn’t mention you. I’m sure it would be alright if you came along,” she informed me.

"If he wanted me to come along, he would have mentioned that fact,” I told her in no uncertain terms. I was hurt. I thought Ted was someone we were going to share. He belonged to both of us. I didn’t know if I should just live with the fact that he was smitten with Jenny and I was just there for a diversion. At that moment, I didn’t want to have any more three-way sexual encounters with him. I would feel that he was only indulging me to be with Jenny. I was also jealous that he was taking a romantic interest in Jenny. I didn’t mind sharing her with him, but she was mine. I met her first and as far as I was concerned that gave me a priority. I had to stop thinking about this subject; it was going to ruin my dinner.

When we finished dinner, we left the restaurant and took the half bottle of wine we hadn’t finished with us. We arrived home and went directly to our respective bedrooms. Havin
g those thoughts about Ted at the restaurant had kind of turned me off. I stripped down and began to feel horny. I hadn’t had my daily ration of sex. I deliberated if I should masturbate or slip into Jenny’s room. I decided to do the latter.

I opened the door of her bedroom slowly. She had just removed the last garment and was slipping out of her panties. They fell down around her ankles. I quietly moved in behind her. I put my hands on her shoulder. I startled her, but she didn’t move. I reached around and took her breasts into my hands. The vaginal liquid was beginning to secrete. My body was pressed against hers and the liquid was transferring onto her ass. I swiped my finger into my vulva. I got it good and lubricated. Then I took my middle finger and slid it into her anal canal. I could feel her body tighten as I began to move it in and out. I knew from past experience she enjoyed the anal experience. I also knew that she enjoyed having me go down on her while she was sitting on the side of the bed. I removed my finger, turned her around. I gave a slight push. She sat back on the bed. With both of my hands, I moved her legs open. She put her hand behind my head. She wanted to direct my movement. We had engaged in this practice enough times for me to know what she wanted and what she could expect from me.

I gave her multiple orgasms. We changed places and she did me. I needed that release from the tensions of the day. She took care of me in her experienced way. I liked having her for a roommate. I was beginning to get concerned that Ted would steal her away from me. The next time Ted comes by we are going to have a little talk. I wanted to be upfront with him. He had to know how important it is for me to have Jenny living in my house. I would agree if he wanted to have a one on one with her periodically, but I would insist she spend the majority of her time with me. In addition, I depended on her to run scenes with me.

I left Jenny’s room. I wanted to sleep in my own bed. Having sex with Jenny was the topping on an exhausting day. It didn’t take long to fall asleep.
