Runaway Love (Satan's Sinners MC Book 6)

Audrey and Daphne both bust out laughing. “No, he definitely can’t do that,” Audrey replies. “Next time wait until I’m at lunch. It sounded like you were trying to kill the poor girl.”
“Bye, Audrey.” Daphne pushes her toward the door in a joking manner.
When it’s just Daphne and me, I ask, “You wanna give me a tattoo? I need the distraction before I track that fucker down. We’ll finish what we started later. I should kill the fucker just for interrupting.”
“Devon!” Daphne slaps my arm. “Come on.” She takes my hand leading me to a tattoo room. I sit in the chair while she starts to get her stuff ready. “What do you want?”
“I don’t know. I trust you.”
“I’ll be right back.” She walks out of the room and comes back a few minutes later with a stencil in her hand. “I drew this right after I saw you again that first time. I think it would be perfect. Take your shirt off.”
I remove my shirt without fear of her reaction and lay it on the side of the chair. She takes a razor and shaves the fine hairs on my pec, then applies the stencil.
Not long into the outline, she’s dipping the needle into the black ink, when all of a sudden, there’s a loud crash. “The fuck?” I shout. Both of us jump up, I put my shirt back on, and we rush out to the front where Audrey is hiding behind her desk. A brick lays on the floor and the big window is busted out.
“What the hell happened?” Daphne asks running over to Audrey, pulling her friend into her arms. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay.” Audrey’s voice is trembling and her body is shaking. “It was Brad. He threw the brick through the window.”
I run outside trying to see if he’s still out here. I scan the surrounding area, but he’s gone, so I go back inside. “I want all of his information.”
“What are you going to do?” Daphne asks still holding onto Audrey, but I can see she is scared too.
“I’m going to make him regret fucking with my Ol’ Lady.”
The tattoo will have to wait.
Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I get Hacker’s number in my contacts and give him a call.
“You got some fuckin’ balls callin’ me right now. Leavin’ church like that and makin’ accusations about one of our brothers.”
“Shut the fuck up, Hacker. This don’t have shit to do with earlier. Daphne’s ex just busted out the front window of her shop. I need his address and to track his phone.”
“Christ, what’cha got?”
I give him the information Daphne rambles to me, and within an hour, I find out where he’s at.
I park my bike next to his shitty crotch rocket, pull my blade from my pocket, and slash both of his tires. I kick it over onto its side and carve YOU BETTER RUN into the paint. I search the bike until I find his brake line, cutting it into two pieces, along with the gas line. Satisfied for now, I put my blade back in its holder on my side and I straddle my Harley, heading back to Runaway Tattoo.
When I walk, inside there’s no trace of any broken glass on the floor, but I make a mental note to call tomorrow and have the window replaced. A headlight shines inside. I turn to see Hunter just pulling into the parking lot. I don’t wait for him like I normally would. He probably doesn’t want to speak to me right now either.
I stride to Daphne’s office, open the door, joining her and Audrey. “Hunter just pulled up outside.” Audrey jumps up from her seat and runs out to meet him without so much as a goodbye. My eyes meet Daphne’s. “You ready to go home?”
“Nah, not yet. Let’s finish the tattoo.” She stands, I follow her back into the tattoo room. She disposes of the stuff she was using and sets up a clean work area.
A few hours in, Daphne takes a break to call her mom, asking her to pick up Zane, but afterward, she gets right back to the tattoo. My eyes have stayed glued on her, watching every move she’s made. You can see how much she loves tattooing by the way her eyes shine when the piece starts coming together. When she is so entranced in the tattoo, her brows knit together and she bites her lip. I always thought she was destined for something great, but witnessing her working, this is her, this is her greatness, this is her destiny.
When she hits the foot pedal, shutting the machine off, she lays it down on the table, and I know we are finished. “Go take a look,” she ordered.
I stand, stretching my legs and walk over to the mirror. I’m taken aback by what I’m looking at. The detail in the heart and the dog tags is incredible. It actually looks like my chest is ripping open and the chain on the dog tags is squeezing the heart. It’s unreal, beautiful, and perfect.
When I turn back around, Daphne is standing in front of me completely bare. She looks down for a moment, then meets my eyes. “You have shown me your insecurities, now I want to show you mine.”
Slowly, step by step, I get closer to her. “You’re beautiful.”
“My stomach is nowhere near flat, my thighs are huge, my breasts aren’t perky. I’ve never let anyone except you see me in the light, completely vulnerable.”
I crouch down in front of her, kissing both of her thighs, kissing her stomach. I raise up some and kiss her ample tits. I repeat, “You’re beautiful.” My lips softly touch her collarbone, her jaw, the side of her neck, and up to her ear. I whisper, “The flaws you see in yourself are what makes you even more flawless in my eyes.”
She reaches between us, undoing my jeans and pushing them down along with my boxer briefs. “We are two imperfect beings connected by an invisible cord, drawing our souls together. And together, we are perfect.” My lips find Daphne’s as soon as the last word flows from her.
Pulling her with me, I sit on the edge of the chair, legs spread so she can stand between them. I reach down, dragging my finger through her wet pussy. I love how responsive her body is, and how she’s always ready.
Breaking from the kiss, I tell her, “Get on top and ride my cock.” She obeys and when she is straddling me, her hand fists my cock lining up to opening as she begins to sink down. “Fuck!” I groan at how fucking amazing she feels.
I grip her hips tightly as she sets her rhythm. I lean up taking one of her hard-rosy nipples into my mouth, sucking and biting her flesh.
Her moans intensify the deeper she takes me in and the faster her movements become. “It’s so deep,” She cries.
“So, fucking good.” I continue letting her have control for a little while longer until I can’t take it anymore. I reach around, holding her ass to me, and begin thrusting upward, going even deeper. She screams out in a mixture of pleasure and pain, but I keep giving her long hard strokes.
Her walls clench around me tighter and tighter, letting me know she’s close. It drives me on, and I pound into her harder than ever, and with each push in and out, the tingling feeling in my spine intensifies. My legs begin to shake, her nails dig into my flesh, and I yell, “Now.” We both release into earth quaking orgasms.
Our breaths are short pants, our bodies are sweaty, and I swear to Christ, I have no energy left in my body.
“Jesus, Devon.” She breathes hard against my chest.
“Fucking amazing!”
“We have to get Zane, but I don’t think I can move.” She laughs.
“Me either.” I shake my head.
We stay right where we are for a while longer until we can finally stand on our legs. After cleaning up, I follow her on my bike to her mom’s house to get our son before we go home for the night.
I walk outside, away from everyone, and hit the only contact I have in this shitty little flip phone.
"What you got for me?" Deuce answers without a hello. It’s been a couple months since I could give him an update. I’ve been laying low all this fucking time. Then Doc just had to fucking come back and put two and two together when the rest of those stupid fucking idiots can’t.
I speak quietly while looking around to make sure no one stepped outside. "I had to lay low for a while, but they figured out where you are and what you’re pla
nning. They sent Gunner and a prospect named Tink in undercover a couple of months ago."
"Really?" He grits out.
"Tink is prospecting for your club. He has long hair, young, and lanky body type."
"Any more details?"
"They will be staying somewhere close, or in Topeka. Follow Tink and he will lead you to the house. Gunner is heading back here tomorrow, driving a silver Prius with the license plate QXT 743." I quickly ramble the rest of the information I have for him.
"You should have told me sooner, but good work." Deuce sounds happy with what I’ve told him.
I hang up the phone and head back inside the clubhouse.
Emery got back from touring with the guys a couple of months ago, but we’ve both been so busy with work and everything, we haven’t had a chance to catch up until now. I already have the tattoo chair and all my stuff ready for when she walks into the room.
“Hey, hey!” She says with excitement as she walks through the door. I spin on my heels and scurry over to her, hugging the life out of my best friend.
“It’s so good to see you!” We hug for a few more minutes until we release each other. “How was the tour?”
She plops down in the chair. “It was amazing. The fans love the new album.” She smiles proudly, then her nose turns up. “I love watching those guys do what they love, but I hate the groupie bitches that wanna throw their dirty underwear at Dawson.” She shakes her head and shivers. “What’s been going on with you?” Emery changes the subject.
I get the stencil laid onto her thigh, have her look down, and she nods her approval. “Devon and I worked everything out. We’ve been dating for the last couple of months.” I dip the needle into the ink and hit my foot pedal.
“Oh, my God! Really?”
I laugh and nod at her enthusiasm. “Yeah. Zane loves having his dad in his life, and it’s the way it always should have been. He packed his stuff up at the clubhouse and moved in with us.”
“Aww, I’m so happy for you guys,” She gushes.
I smile while concentrating on the fine lines of her Rainbow Brite tattoo. “Thanks.”
“Did he give you answers for why he left?”
“Yeah, it had to do with his dad. It’s a long story, but let’s just say I know that he never forgot about me or stopped loving me. It’s sad really that we had to spend so many years apart, but I love getting to know him now. The man he is today instead of the boy he was then. It’s kind of like getting the best of both worlds. Ya’ know?”
“Makes sense. I mean Trax left on his own free will, so I don’t think I would’ve taken him back even if I hadn’t fallen in love with Dawson, but the way he is with Sicily, I know he’ll be great for someone else.”
My eyes meet hers before I dip the needle in more black ink. “It’s awesome how well you guys co-parent.”
“Yeah, we have to for her. I’d never want to keep her from her dad, and we never want to be ones that fought all the time. I just want us to get along for Sicily.”
Four hours later, Emery now has the brightly colored cartoon character tattooed on her leg. She goes to look in the mirror. “Daphne, it’s so cute and those colors!” She praises. There’s an array of bright colors popping off her leg. It almost looks like Rainbow Bright could walk right off her thigh.
Emery, Audrey, and I lock up my shop and head out together. We each go our separate ways. I get into my car, buckle up, and head for my apartment. Devon and Zane are at Connie’s house spending time with her. It makes me happy that she and Devon have really started to mend their relationship. Connie filed for divorce, but she’s still waiting for John to sign the papers. I don’t know if he’s holding off out of spite, hope, or just to be an asshole, but hopefully, he will sign them soon so she can truly be free from him.
Fifteen minutes later, I pull into the parking lot. I step out of the car and Brad runs over. Jesus, what does he want now? I haven’t seen the likes of him or heard from him since he broke out my shop window. “What the hell do you want?”
“How’ve you been?” He sticks his hands in his pockets and lowers his head. How is he going to act like nothing happened? Like he wasn’t the biggest twatnozzle on the face of the earth?
“I would have been a lot better if someone didn’t break my God damn shop window,” I huff and wish he would get to the point.
“Yeah, about that…” His eyes drift up to mine. “I’m sorry.”
I shake my head. Why does he think every time he does stupid shit, he can come to apologize and everything should be fine? I don’t even want his apology. I want nothing to do with his ass. “Listen, Devon gave you a warning, so you better get out of here before he gets home.”
“Home?” He cackles. “I wasn’t even allowed over here, but you moved that asshole in? What’s he got that I don’t?”
My eyes narrow and my face heats with anger. “A big dick for starters. Get out of here, Brad. There would’ve never been a competition between you two because you, and any other man, would have lost every single time when it comes to Devon.” I start to walk away, but he grabs my arm, pulls me back, and slams me into my car. I hear the rumble of a motorcycle and I’m hoping like hell it’s Devon. “Let me go!” I scream.
Brad leans in, his mouth tries to find mine, but I move just in time. His lips land sloppily on my cheek. He pulls back. “Oh, come on, Daphne. You never had a problem giving up your pussy before. Baby Daddy ain’t here now.” He ignores every word I said and pins me against the car while he tries to get his pants undone. I flail against his hold and suddenly he’s thrown off me.
Zane runs over. “Mom, are you okay?”
“Yeah, Z, I’m okay.” My eyes are fixated on Devon throwing punch after punch into Brad’s face. “Devon!” I yell trying to get his attention, but he ignores me. “Zane, get my keys and go inside.”
He listens without being told twice. I run over to Devon and scream, “Stop, Devon!” I’m afraid he’s going to kill Brad. Not for Brad’s sake, but for what it would do to Devon. Would it cause a setback?
Finally, he stops and stands, gaining his composure. His knuckles are bloody, as is Brad’s almost unrecognizable face. He lays unconscious. Devon’s chest lifts and falls, his breaths are labored as he looks down at the damage he has inflicted. I begin to carefully step closer, but the intensity in his stare stops me. “Let’s go inside,” He instructs and I have no qualms to disagree.
I walk him to the bathroom, have him sit on the toilet while I start to clean his bloody knuckles. I don’t bother calling the ambulance for Brad. Someone else can do it.
“Are you okay?” I ask while wiping his hand.
Devon pulls me in closer to where I’m standing between his legs. I wrap my arms around his shoulders. “If I wouldn’t have gotten here in time…” He trails off.
“Shh.” I hold him tighter. “You did and that’s all that matters.
Devon gazes up at me. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
I shake my head. “No.” I finish cleaning his hands. “I need to check on Zane.”
Devon nods. “I’ll go with you.”
We walk out of the bathroom and to Zane’s bedroom door. I lightly knock, open it quietly, and look inside. He’s sitting on the side of his bed with his head down.
“Hey, Z.” I tread over to him and sit down next to him. “Are you okay?” Devon sits in front of us on the floor.
His tear-filled eyes look up at me. “Who was that?”
I sigh. I don’t want to lie to him, but I don’t want to give him full details. “He used to be my friend, but he did some bad things.”
“He was going to hurt you.” I reach over and wipe a tear that has trickled down his cheek.
“I know, but your dad saved me. I’m okay,” I try to reassure him.
Devon takes Zane’s hand in his. “I will always be here to keep you two safe.”
Zane’s eyes cut to Devon’s. “You promise?”
Devon nods and grins. “I promise.”<

Sirens blare outside. I guess someone found Brad. We stay in Zane’s room until he falls asleep, and then we trek to our room, both of us are exhausted from the earlier events. We lazily undress, crawl under the covers, and Devon holds me close until I’m in a deep sleep.
Another brother shot, multiple times, lucky to be alive. Gunner and Chatty were ambushed by someone. Hanger thinks it was Deuce or one of his men, and ordered an abrupt ambush on The Four Kings.
Daphne didn't want me to go because she was afraid it would set me back, but I assured her that I would be fine. I've been taking my medication religiously, and I'm in a much better state of mind than I was six months ago.
Demon is sitting in the back of the van with me, antsy as fuck and ready to shed blood. Me, I'll be staying in the van in hopes they find Tink alive. The van comes to a stop, the back doors open, and Demon scurries out, ready to go. My brothers grab extra guns, ammo, and other weapons. They’re loading up in case they need the additional ammunition.
I wait silently, watching out the van doors with my pistol in hand in case one of those cunt bastards tries to escape. Gunfire ensues, it sounds like Fourth of July fireworks. I close my eyes for a moment and take a few deep breaths. "I'm okay," I tell myself. I count to ten and refocus on my duty: make sure no one escapes and to wait for Tink.
I'm not sure how much time has passed, but the shots are starting to die down. I look around the door of the van. Demon is running toward me with a naked bloody body in his arms.
He reaches me in seconds and lays an unconscious Tink on the floor of the van. "Is he alive?" I ask quickly, placing my fingers on his neck, checking for a pulse. Demon nods, his eyes glued to Tink. A glimmer of sorrow flashes through his dark eyes, but it's gone and replaced with hollowness.
I find a pulse, barely, but it's there. I open my bag that I brought and begin cleaning his deep wounds. The rest of my brothers gather at the back of the van. They speak to each other, but I'm solely focused on Tink.
The van starts up and we begin the ride back to Wichita from Topeka. Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I call Jacey to get Sierra's number.
