The vertical shaft leading up to the field and hidden by an artificial plant was thought to be nothing more than an emergency escape route.
Chapter 56
Commander Razk, Supreme Commander of Security and Secrets as well as of service to the Trilogy of Cardinals was standing at a large window up high on Saint Peter’s Basilica looking down at Saint Peter’s Square. It was clear by his expression that he was very concerned at what was happening down there. He glanced at his cell phone and checked the time. It had been over two hours since calling Captain Santo Martinez to come and help explain this unsettling matter. He should have been here by now. His phone rang and it was the West Wall security gate. Santo’s car had arrived and currently being escorted to the designated meeting spot. Razk took one last look at the chaos down in the Square, shook his head, and walked away to meet Santo.
Up high on the colonnade circling Saint Peter’s Square are 140 statues of saints and martyrs looking down at the throngs of tourists admiring fountains and buildings of their faith. But not today. Santo and Razk are standing atop the colonnade beside the statue of St. Agnes looking down at the bedlam there. Razk turned to Santo and asked,
“Do you see what I mean? When I told you on the phone what was happing, you said you might be able to help. I will be eternally grateful if you could do something about this.”
Santo looked down at thousands of people in the Square, many on knees praying, hundreds taking pictures and many frozen to the spot in awe. Both saw circles of people dancing as if in a frenzied tribal ritualistic ceremony of some sort. The focus of attraction was the 25.5 meter tall Egyptian obelisk in the center of the Square. More accurately, the focus of attraction was the three angels flying around the obelisk.
Santo knew why and what he had to do. He also understood that they were not angels. They were the Anannaki trapped in this dimension because he had destroyed the main transmission aerials back in the cave. Now with no transmission, the ‘posts’, in effect the signals in the obelisks, were turned off. The Anannaki dimension travelers had no way of returning to the cave and now, no place to go. He remembered what Edward from the House of the Second Creation had told him. Once the central transmission aerials were turned off, they will no longer be able to come here but also, those already here would not be able to get back to their dimension. They would be trapped here like ghosts. That was what Santo now saw. Frantic and scared black spirits were circling their ‘post’ and wondering why they could not return to the main aerial in the cave.
Because this ‘post’ was in a place of faith, he was not surprised that believers would misinterpret them as angels of the Lord. However, he thought it odd that nobody questioned why they were dark shadows and had no wings. He wondered if there was something in the Bible mentioning dark angels. At least to him, it was clear why the circling shadows hovered and frantically pointed to the bands on their wrist. He understood that they were trying to tune in a lost frequency much like trying to tune in a radio station.
Razk looked to Santo and with a degree of urgency asked,
“Would you be kind enough to tell me what we are looking at?”
However, because of Maria’s command that nobody must know about the Anannaki cave or what was there, Santo was not in a position to elaborate. He looked to Razk and said,
“I’ll give you a choice but only one. I’ll tell you what they are or I’ll get rid of them for you. Pick one.”
Knowing that they were not angels of the Lord, Razk quickly responded,
“Send them back to wherever they came.”
Santo reached into his pocket and brought out what the Snow Monks had given him. As the frantic dark spirits circled and dove into the obelisk only to come out the other side, Santo aimed the aerial at the abandoned spirits and activated whatever power the antenna transmitted. It happened slowly. Like a vampire’s aversion to sunlight, they panicked, twisted and squirmed as if in great pain and then simply faded into oblivion or as Santo thought, to join the atoms of the universe.
Everybody below, the dancers, prayers, and gawkers suddenly stopped and stood mute wondering what had just happened to their angels of the Lord. It was not clear who started it but suddenly great cheers roared through the crowd. They had seen a miracle and were now in celebration of it. For the rest of their lives, their faith was strengthened.
Chapter 57
Back at the Bulgarian headquarters, Santo marched into Zak Zander’s office and saw him in his usual posture, stooped over ancient scrolls. Remembering that he did not like to be disturbed, as a sign of fair warning, he deliberately stomped his way across the floor. Exasperated, Zak, with head still low to the ancient words said,
“What now Captain?”
Santo was in a hurry so the reply was brief.
“I only want information if you don’t mind and then I shall leave you in peace.”
After a deep and very annoyed breath, Zak pointed to the chair and waited for Santo’s exasperating questions. True to his word, Santo was quick and to the point.
“Tell me all you know about the obelisk in the Vatican.”
“Very well. First of all, the obelisk was originally erected at Heliopolis, Egypt by an unknown pharaoh. So, if you are looking for a mystery, there it is. Feel free to think that aliens might have constructed it. Its material is red granite and stands 25.5 meters tall. Emperor Augustus moved it to the Julian Forum of Alexandria where it stood for many years. It was then eventually moved to its current site in 1586 under the direction of Pope Sixtus V.”
Thinking that the annoyance was over, Zak simply returned his attention to the scrolls. Unfortunately, it was not over. Santo asked,
How many Egyptian obelisks like that are there around the world?”
Without looking up from his beloved scrolls, Zak tediously replied,
“Currently there are 28 known Egyptian obelisks standing in the world. Only 6 are standing in Egypt, 13 in Rome and the rest are located around the world in cities like New York, London, Paris, and Istanbul. If it is your intention to locate others, then I suggest you identify the frequency on the one at the Vatican and search the world for similar frequencies.”
That was all Santo needed to know. Walking out of the office, he knew exactly what he had to do.
Santo may be the Head of the House of the Nazarene Security, but he is not the boss of the House. He also painfully understands that he is not even the boss of his own house. Two powerful women sit at the head of that table. Belle and Maria both have him wrapped around their little fingers. He knew he could not simply execute his plan without discussing it with Maria and fair to say, he wanted to talk to her about it. Her opinion was important to him.
On his way to her office, walking past the gardens and waving at a gardener, he reached for his cell phone and through a secured channel called another trusted advisor, Waldorf.
“Are you busy?”
“Yes, very. Helga is sitting here laughing at me. She has taken my queen and bragging about taking my king in three moves. How are you going to help me get out of this embarrassment?”
“It’s easy. Just knock your king over and meet me in Maria’s laboratory right away.”
He then added a quick jest that he hoped would be taken lightly.
“You can never beat her anyway.”
Maria was in her laboratory extracting DNA from the cells of the strands of hair Pia had pulled from an Anannaki beard. Once identified, she will computerize the codes and use them to unlock what they had done to human DNA. She was not pleased to hear a knock on the lab door. Tired of people barging in on her and startling the bejesus out of her, she had installed a closed circuit security system. Activating the monitor, she saw that it was Santo and Waldorf. Two powerful men requesting an audience dispelled her annoyance and she buzzed them in.
From her desk, she watched them enter. However, Santo did not want to discuss important matters like this over her desk and so pointed to the sofa and with Waldorf in tow, went
directly to it. Maria got up and went to the coffee urn, poured a steaming cup and then ventured over to them while saying,
“Two of my favorite men sitting in my laboratory. I’m not sure if I should be pleased or worried. What’s up? Have Belle and Robert been into mischief again?”
At least to Waldorf, it was a great opening question. She saw in his expression and pointing finger that the answer was ‘yes’ and wanted to discuss the matter of the two rambunctious children right now. He started to say,
“As a matter of fact, there is the important matter off ----,”
What Santo wanted to discuss was far more important than what the children may or may not have done this time and so quickly cut Waldorf off.
“There is an important matter of House of the Nazarene law to be discussed.”
With the precious coffee cup still in her hand, Maria sat across from them and prepared to listen.
She sipped coffee and dutifully listened to Santo relating what Niko Waltz told him about interdimensional walls and how the Anannaki kept track of their DNA development here on Earth. He repeated what Edward of the Second Creation told him about interdimensional aerials allowing instant transport to this planet. She perked up when hearing how various obelisks placed in strategic places throughout the world allowed the black spirts to transmit from city to city. Now with the master transmitters destroyed, there are Anannaki trapped between the two dimensions that cannot get back to the cave and their home planet. They are gathering at those ‘jumper posts’ all around the world lost and confused about why they can’t get transferred.
Maria now understood what Santo was getting at. Pulling the cup away from her mouth, she said,
“So you are proposing to go to these so-called jumper posts and destroy them like you did to the one belonging to the Snow Monks, in effect casting them to the voids of the universe.”
His reply was simple and to the point. “Yes.”
Waldorf asked,
“But why can’t you just use that frequency disrupter thing the Snow Monks gave you? That seemed to work quit well at the Vatican.”
“Because we don’t know where and how many there are. It will be akin to chasing ghosts all over the planet. It is far better to remove the posts and send them to oblivion.”
Maria voiced her concern.
“I’m not comfortable with the House of the Nazarene zipping all over the world and destroying valuable antiquities. It was one of my dictates not to do harm. If they are just, as you put it, ghosts drifting around, what is the harm? Will they eventually not simply die off?”
Santo shot a finger to the air and seemed proud to have an opportunity to explain his reasoning for the destruction of the jumper posts.
“That is the very reason I think we should destroy them. They may be ghost-like and have the same abilities as ghost, zipping from jumper post to jumper post but they are still Anannaki. I’m afraid that they will panic and seek revenge on us. We have to remember that although still in that form, they are very powerful. I’ll remind you what they did to Zak’s computer and the power they have to create a dimensional bubble inside the cave. I would personally feel better if we simply destroyed the jumper posts.”
Maria looked to Waldorf and asked,
“What do you think? Should we go off the House mandate and destroy those obelisks?”
Waldorf was not as sure as Santo and voiced a very good point.
“I don’t like exposing our secret organization to something like this. Secrecy is one of our strongest strengths.”
Santo rebuked,
“We can do it under cover of darkness and cloaked”
Maria asked,
“Does the whole column have to be destroyed? Some are thousands of years old and hold a great historical value to the various cities they are in.”
It was something that Santo had not thought of. He then remembered what Edward had told him in Greece.
“Edward told me that each tower contained a transmitter powered by the Earth’s geographical signature.”
He then looked to Maria and added,
“You might have a point. Zak suggested that we isolate the signature frequency in the obelisk at the Vatican and by using our satellites, locate identical energy readings elsewhere. Perhaps we only need to destroy the transmitter inside the tower. I shall then rephrase my request. Will you give permission to use our satellites to locate that frequency and destroy the power source?”
Maria again looked to Waldorf for council. When he nodded his approval, she said,
“Very well. Use the high-powered laser beams developed in our labs in Scotland and try to do minimal damage to property. When it is all done I want you to bring whatever that thing is the Snow Monks gave you over to Dr. Marls in Switzerland for analysis. Maybe we can match that frequency just in case we don’t get them all.”
The next day Santo was sitting in a D-wing in London, England camouflaged and partially submerged under the Waterloo Bridge crossing the River Thames. He splashed under the surface a mile away and approached the bridge underwater. Half submerged and hidden by one of the concrete foundations under the bridge, he had an excellent and concealed view of the chaos surrounding Cleopatra’s Needle situated on the shore of the river. Hundreds of curious people were blocking traffic on the busy street running past the obelisk. Like in the Vatican, they were dumfounded at seeing dark ghost-like figures circling and dashing through the obelisk expecting something to happen.
With x-ray technology, Santo examined the inner structure of the obelisk. The image on the screen indicated that the frequency chip was inside the capstone shaped like a pyramid. While the mob of people bustled and jostled for a good position for a picture, Santo programed the white laser beam for a perfect shot. Activating the beam, it did exactly what it was supposed to do, fry the chip circuits and stop the emitting frequency.
The dark spirits disappeared as if a bright light had shone onto a shadow. From the excitement of the unknown to the surprise of suddenly seeing nothing, the crowd froze and stared at the obelisk. Their cameras scanned the sky looking for the mysterious ghosts to no avail. They had joined the energy of the cosmos. Job done, like a crocodile, Santo silently sunk under the water and disappeared.
Waldorf flew to the Egyptian obelisk in Warsaw, Poland. His D-wing had also been equipped with white laser deployment technology. The targeted obelisk was in a park near a small forest of tall trees. From the stratosphere, he dropped straight down and settled unseen in the high branches of those trees. The situation here was exactly as Santo had described in the Vatican. Hordes of people were running around in a panic to get a better look at the so-called dancing shadows attracted to the obelisk like a moth to a flame. There was a zealous man standing on a small platform screaming something about the end of the world.
Waldorf, with the onboard x-ray also scanned and located the transmission chip in the same pyramid shape at the top. The white laser program was activated and again circuits melted and fused to become useless. He then saw the floating shadows go into a passion of frenzy. Waldorf was sure that if they had hair, they were frantically pulling it out. Again, like the others, they faded from existence. With an assignment well done, he lifted straight up to the stratosphere to his next location.
Kirk destroyed the ones in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aries as well as a strange one in the southern part of the Amazon Jungle. That one stood alone surrounded by vast jungle growth. Only the top was visible above the treetops. According to Nazarene Satellite ground penetrating radar it was located in the middle of an ancient city long lost to time and jungle growth. Two more were located under two oceans, the Pacific and Indian Ocean. Strangely, one was located in the bottom of Lake Titicaca on the Peru side of the border lake. When time permits, the House of the Nazarene will send an exploration team to the bottom of the lake to solve that mystery.
The five located in North America was Santo’s second assignment. Waldorf took out the ones in China and the Middle E
ast. From South America, Kirk went to Australia, New Zealand and three nearby islands. According to the hopes of everybody in the House of the Nazarene, that marked the end of the Anannaki’s ability to come to Earth. That is, except for one thing. Even with her massive computers, Maria had yet to figure out how to stop the invasion of the Anannaki through DNA altering.
Chapter58
Almost in the middle of the great ice sheet of Antarctica was a secret research facility operated by scientists from five countries, each sharing in cost and scientific discovery. On the ice, inside a small fenced off compound were a few sheds and snow vehicles along with a large satellite dish. It was only a diversion for the massive operation under the thick ice.
Deep under the ice surface, in a building sit two men, Ivan and Viktor. Both are from the Russian science delegation. They are wearing thick and warm parkas with hoods lined with fur. They are absently staring at twenty-one monitors against the wall. Their job is to observe working conditions for the scientists clearing solid ice away from frozen tall buildings and roads. Like archeologists above ground who scrape dirt away to uncover a long lost culture, these ice archeologists are chipping away at ice to uncover a city never before seen on the surface of this planet. Staring at screens and watching men chipping away at ice only to uncover another building bored them to tediousness. A mysterious tall obelisk stood the middle of a cleared plaza.
