Earth Before Man Page 33

The tedium of the job suddenly changed when Ivan bolted alert, pointed to a monitor, and said,

“Hey, there, did you see that?”

Viktor, in a lazy manner slowly focused on the screen of interest. As proof that he saw it, he perked up and curiously asked,

  “What is that?”

Both men saw three dark shadows circling the mysterious pillar and zipping through it like ghosts. Ivan asked,

  “What are they doing?”

  Viktor had a better question.

  “What are they?”

Suddenly the intrusion alarm sounded and both men snapped their attention to the warning. Ivan said,

  “Now what?”

Viktor found the appropriate screen and through sensor readings was able to determine the cause for alarm. Ivan asked,

  “What is that?”

Viktor read the readouts but was not sure. Draped in confusion he shook his head and with no conviction at all said,

“A narrow hole is boring through the ice from the surface and coming at us fast.”

  “Why?”

It only took seconds for the strange hole to penetrate the cavernous ice cave. Viktor saw by the angle of attack that it was aimed right at the tall tower in the middle of the cleared plaza. It was clear by the reaction of the circling ghosts that they were scared and knew what was happening. Through useless hand gestures they flitted about and seemed to be pleading with the intrusive white beam to stop whatever it was about to do. Viktor sat stunned, barely able to ask,

  “Do you see all this?”

“Yes, but what are we seeing?”

Despite the attempt of frantic ghostly hands trying to stop the white laser beam, it nevertheless cut through to the top of the pillar. The second it did, three dark ghost-like shadows blew apart and went wherever dead shadows go. Stunned to disbelief both men sat silent for a moment trying to reconcile what they had seen or at least thought they had. Finally Viktor looked to Ivan and asked,

“Are you going to report this?”

  Ivan, still dazed, slowly asked,

  “Report what?”

  Understanding the reply, Viktor said,

  “I didn’t see nothing either.”

Up on the surface, Santo turned his D-wing in the direction of central Africa. Something in the middle of a jungle had to be investigated.

A week later, the House of the Nazarene had destroyed frequency chips inside 127 transmission posts. By monitoring the World News and flagging the word ‘ghost’ there was no longer any reports of black ghosts circling obelisks anywhere in the world. At the weekly meeting of Nazarene department heads, Waldorf and Santo were confident to report they had destroyed all the chips and the Anannaki ‘gateway’ to Earth. Maria understood that one never knows what one does not know. At the best, it could only be assumed they got them all. She was also not pleased to learn that by a miscalculation of white laser strength, five obelisks had the tops blown off.

  Chapter 59

Twelve months had now been torn off the calendar. In that year, the House of the Nazarene’s mandate of alien discovery and research progressed at a steady rate. Professor Barton Asker, as the newest member of field operatives was able to report that the field of dark spirits quarantine was successful. Thanks to the village rumor mill of old men and their vivid stories of the spirits, not even grazing goats dared enter the field.

Six months after the destruction of the Anannaki cave, ground penetrating radar and spectral analyzes showed that the cave walls had stabilized. Like the vertical shaft leading down into the cave as well as the horizontal vent they had escaped in, the stone was super-heated to form a strong and thick glass, or as the professor had discovered, been vitrified. Most scientists agreed that whatever the deadly dimensional bubble was, it super-heated the stone and turned it to glass.

Kirk had fallen into Jessika’s red dress seduction trap. While on holidays on Cyprus, soaking up the sun on a beach, he proposed marriage. Although she wanted to jump at the opportunity to yell, “yes!” she instead calmly said that it was too sudden, that she would need a little time to think about it. Two seconds later, he coyly asked if that was enough time. Apparently it was. Two weeks later, the House of the Nazarene held its first wedding ceremony. Three months later, Jessika got her second wish. She was pregnant.

Also in that year, Waldorf had completed his task of establishing laboratories all over the world, the last one being a ‘dimensional bubble’ research lab in Moscow. Now with the newly structured House of the Nazarene policy of not putting all their laboratories in one basket complete, Helga also got her wish. Waldorf was able to spend more time with her. There was only one person suffering Waldorf’s new idol time, Santo. Waldorf may have retired as Head of Security, giving the position to Santo but he still felt the need to be a bit of a bother at the security meetings.

Maria had practically disappeared. Day after day and week after week she sequestered herself in her laboratory analyzing the Anannaki DNA Pia had so bravely and thankfully pulled from a beard before the body was destroyed. Much to her dismay, prior to that time she was able to show the Anannaki warrior was still alive. There was strong reason to suppose that the others were also alive, at least until the killing started. A great opportunity to discover who the colonizing aliens on planet Earth were and what they were doing here was missed.

If only they had managed to save the containers and revived all the different alien species, what she could have learned from them would have been staggering. With the help of Zak Zanders, the House of the Nazarene could have learned the true history of the aliens on this planet before humans took over. The questions she would have asked were bountiful and the historical truth would have rivaled the secrets the Smithsonian was holding back. Perhaps then, she could announce to the word those truths. Perhaps then, Pia would not look at Maria like that anymore.

Belle and Robert continued to be the best of friends. Where there was one, there was the other. It amazed both parents how alike they were to the point it was never clear who the rambunctious one was or who was responsible for starting trouble. Adding to their kindred soul was the identical marks they got in school. One of the few minor differences in the children was Belle’s uncanny ability to communicate with animals. As hard as he tried, Robert could not duplicate that skill.

Before Waldorf finished organizing the last of the laboratories, he had spent many days away from Helga and her lonely arms. In the days he was gone she went to Santo and asked for a mission beneficial to the House of the Nazarene that did not involve organizing events for the children. Santo was quick to understand that she was asking to be helpful, to be valued. As it turned out, he had the perfect assignment for her.

Santo wanted to know why there was an Anannaki transmission tower located on the old King Krassimir Rhymen royal family estate. He also had questions about why the mansion they were living in was originally called ‘Witch of the Manor’. He began to suspect there might have been a good reason that the Vatican attacked the kingdom and looted its treasure hundreds of years ago. He wanted to know if there was a connection between the royal family and the Anannaki obelisk. That was her assignment and she eagerly accepted it. For months afterward, Helga could be found surrounded by reams of historical books borrowed from private libraries throughout the land. She was so wrapped up in the research that when Waldorf finally came home, she hardly noticed.

  Chapter 60

  The Second Adam and Eve

A year after Maria had lost her treasure trove of DNA and twenty perfectly cytogenetically preserved alien species, she finally came out of her laboratory with a great look of satisfaction. Santo noticed her jovial mood and reasoned she had finally cracked the so-called Anannaki Passive Genetic Recolonization code. For once, he was successful in reading her body language. She sent notices to all her Department Heads announcing an important meeting in two days.

The meeting was held in the massive family room of the Manor, the same room that a
year before was host to the one year anniversary of the survival of the House of the Nazarene. This time Maria occupied the head of the table with Santo at her right. Looking down the table, she saw a very pregnant Jessika and a proud Kirk sitting next to her. Across the table were of course Waldorf and Helga, who now because of hours spent reading ancient documents had learned Bulgarian and needed reading glasses.

To the left of Helga sat a disgruntled Zak Zander. With thick glasses almost tumbling off his bulbous nose, it was clear by his expression he did not want to be there. Maria had insisted. She also thought it was appropriate to sit the cantankerous Doctor Marls next to him. It was proof that after a year of extensive research she had finally regained a modest sense of humor. Continuing around the table she saw Han Lee, Henrik Anderson and just arriving from his desert dig in the Sahara was Antoni Amato, her expert in alien archaeology.

Although the last two people at the table were only field

agents, she wanted them involved in the decision making of her discovery and to learn the inner workings of the House of the Nazarene. Both had earned this privilege. A very proud Professor Bartow Asker came from a mission in Turkey. He sat tall and straight next to Han Lee. The youngest member of the conference was Pia, the alien toxicologist and diagnostic expert from Spain. Unlike the proud Professor, she sat slouched and bored. Her only outward expression was when occasionally catching Henrik glancing at her from across the table. She sneered and he quickly averted his eyes.

Maria’s discovery was important and she wanted to get on with announcing it. However, she also saw the importance of letting the department heads talk amongst themselves for a while. She saw it as collaboration and unification of the House leaders. When she decided that the House gossip and talk of each department head’s important contribution to the House was enough, Maria stood up. Everybody accepted the gesture as a sign to fall silent and pay attention.

She tried not to stand straight and commanding. What she was announcing to the twelve members of the table, now jokingly referred to as the twelve apostles of the House of the Nazarene was imposing enough. However, when considering the importance of the discovery, it was hard to strike a posture of relaxed and calm. She started by clearing up a few points, to get everybody on the same page as it were.

“Thank you all for coming. For the few at this table who may not be familiar with my work, let me bore the rest of you with a quick recap.”

She did not mean to but for a reason not clear at the time, she looked down at Santo who was respectfully looking up at her. Later on, she would confess to feeling his respectful gaze.

As if Pia was the only one at the table, what Maria now said was directed at her. Maria had not forgotten the stone look of disappointment Pia glared at her when flying back to Spain and commanding she keep secret what they had found in the cave. Mostly she had not forgotten her own hypocrisy of chastising world famous museums from keeping thruthful history of the planet from the public, just as she wanted to do with this discovery.

While Pia was still casting slings and arrows at the shy Henrik, who was desperately trying to avoid them, Maria started,

“Not all of you are familiar with my research and its connection to the House of the Nazarene. Through the years that I was involved with the House, I was a DNA profile specialist. Many years ago, I was the one who discovered that many of the Kings and High Priests of the early Inca Empire were aliens, in fact, what had become known as the Sky People. Years later when joining the House of the Nazarene the last leader, Gustav Magnus Laurent asked me to research his genetics. I was able to prove that he was an alien hybrid, in fact part Nephilim, a bred mentioned many times in the Bible. It was through that research I discovered an anomaly in our own DNA code. All humans have alien DNA codes inserted in them. What conventional scientists had mislabeled as Junk DNA is in fact where the alien code is hidden.”

She stopped there. She wanted to see the reaction of the group when learning that they, in fact the whole world had alien DNA in their spirals. Not even Pia seemed surprised. Professor Asker was looking at his hand, turning it over and back perhaps trying to spot the alien spirals. As there was no panic, she continued,

“The shock of the discovery was in realizing that the most aggressive inserted alien code was Anannaki designed to override our own. A long time ago, they inserted an aggressive program into our DNA that would eventually override our created codes to become just like them. What I am saying is that within perhaps twenty generation, we as humans will no longer carry that unique distinction. We will be one hundred percent a different species, that of the Anannaki.”

With still no obvious alarm or disruption to what she assumed would be devastating news, she explained,

“Since Pia bravely recovered some Anannaki DNA for me, I have spent the last year replicating and analyzing that code searching for the aggressive chemical combination in their nucleotides or if you wish, the building blocks of that DNA. Only recently did I discover the aggressive take-over code was not in the code at all but rather in a chemical composition of the genes. I have now been able to program a counter attack code. I can cultivate a protein to combat that code and reverse it eventually returning humanity to the intent of the creation, that of a full human. That is my question to this Council. Is our eventual conversion to another species tampering with providence or am I protecting and returning us to the intent of the original creation?”

Although she remained standing, the table suddenly erupted into chatter and discussion. It was what she wanted, discussion and input whether to reverse what humanity was becoming or leave it to fate. Was there a divine plan in what was happening and was she interfering with it? Someone had already dared tamper with the creation. Should she dare do the same? It was a decision not taken lightly or by one person. Professor Asker asked,

“Who are the Anannaki? If nothing is done, what will we eventually become?”

Everybody stopped talking and listened to Maria.

“Because they are ninety percent like us in appearance as well as genetic makeup, there will be no great physical change to us. As proof that we are becoming like them, I should mention that they were taller and stockier. Although considered a harmless trait of our evolution, it has been noted that over many human generations we are getting taller. As some of you might also have noticed, stouter.”

Because Zak Zander was already, as she had so politely put it, ‘stout’ he believed that he was already well ahead of everybody else to becoming a different species.”

  It was Jessika, who asked,

“If we are already twenty percent Anannaki, how come we haven’t noticed the physical changes?”

  Maria answered,

“The physical changes that are coming at us will be considered the consequences of evolution. Through the generations, we will not even notice the changes. It will be the same as we look back on when we were Neanderthal. Each generation will slowly succumb to little changes. Their plan to convert us was not a sudden one or two generation plot. It would take hundreds of years to fully convert us and by that timeline we would not noticed the changes.”

It was then that a very concerned Jessika voiced the real reason for her question.

“So I will not be giving birth to a strange looking alien then?”

There was compassion in Maria’s reply.

“No, dear. The changes coming to us are slow. Even your child’s children will only have marginal changes in their genetic code. But that does bring up a good point. What I am proposing will not be a fix for tomorrow. This will be a multi-generation repair of the infected codes. I estimate that it will take approximately twenty generations to repair the damage and return us to what was intended by the creation.”

Suddenly Zak Zander perked alert, sat up and pointed at Maria. She was not sure if he was asking for permission to speak or just suddenly woke up. He said,

“I was wondering what started the Great World War and now I have it. The Anannaki came
to this planet first, in fact to the Sumerian people and then started this so-called Passive Genetic Recolonization of the Planet by tampering with our genetic code. A few generations later along came the Great Grays. They were appalled when seeing God’s creation so barbaric and worshiping idols. They thought it had to be a mistake of the genetics. They did not believe that humans were created simply to become warriors in some cruel game of war. They discovered in our genetic code what they referred to as the ‘killer gene’ and tampered with it attempting to breed it out of us. I believe what they had really discovered was the Anannaki Passive Genetic Recolonization code in our spirals. The Anannaki by their very nature, or if you wish by the nature of their genetics are a very aggressive species. I believe that is what went wrong with their recolonization plan. The Grays, thinking that it was a mistake of the creation tampered with it and thereby greatly prolonged the conversion timeline. For tampering with their plan to take over this planet and upsetting the schedule for a complete takeover, I believe it was at least one of the reasons the Anannaki hated the Great Grays. It might even have been the reason for the start of the Great Earth War.”
