What the hell had just happened…..?

Panting and deliriously happy she gazed up at the ceiling. Red was lapping at her and drinking her down. Sat between her legs, he was hungrily taking his fill. Sprawled naked before him she felt no embarrassment as he enjoyed her. Felt no need to cover up. He could have it all …..

He sensed her starting to drift. And bit the side of her thigh to bring her back, she jumped a little and smiled. Learning up he placed his cock at her entrance and slipped back in taking long deep strokes enjoying the friction. He watched for the changes in her body. The heat rising once more, her nipples hardening, her breathing becoming choppy. She lifted her legs and encircled his waist. He grasped them riding her harder. Flinging her head back she held on. Knowing he needed more, he dropped her legs and withdrew turning her onto the floor on her hands and knees. “Brace yourself, I might lose control, if I do it will be harder than I intended, and I will not be able to stop until I come.”

Jamie gripped the sofa as he put her into position half on and half off the seat. Her feet on the floor. Pulling her legs wide she felt him at her entrance and waited. He didn’t disappoint and slammed back into her. Starting a punishing pace. His hand reached out for her shoulder to steady himself and her while the other gripped her thigh as he fucked her. There was no finesse here. She knew it for what it was. A claiming of sorts. He was dominating her as he’d said he would. Such uncontrollable desire swamped her.

“Yes, fuck yeah…..” she called out to him. “Don’t stop, don’t stop….”

His female needed him. It was joy to his ears. Another emotion he shouldn’t be having but it was there in his senses and more than anything, he wanted to deliver. Give her what she needed from him. He rode on. Pounding into her faster and deeper. Her muscles rippling along his cock driving him on. Her tight wet pussy pulling on his cock and he gave her it all. His balls swelled and filled more, his cock lengthening ready to explode into her. Driving him on and on until he heard her scream is name as she shattered and collapsed. Holding her up he struck her hard and deep, finally with one last thrust releasing his seed into her. Taking them down on one arm riding the pleasure train. For the first time in his life, his data stopped recording. It had blanked out.

“That…… was amazing……… give me a minute and I’ll go again….” She told him dreamily. RedX smiled, he could read her without trying she was so open and would be asleep in minutes. He kissed the top of her head and slowly withdrew from her body putting her firmly on the sofa. Covering her up with the blanket that had been at the end.

“I look forward to it,” he whispered. “Now sleep you will need it.” Her contented sigh was all he needed to hear.

Backing away quietly he headed into the bathroom and cleaned himself up then dressed. Over his neuro net he told the computer to open the back door and lock it again once he’d gone through. With one glance at the quiet area where he’d left the most important thing in his life, he walked out to do his job.

  Chapter Six

The info he’d received from the night before was still there in the background of his optic. Moving quietly throughout the community, he’d donned his white coat in hope that he would be seen as just another medical officer going about his business. Trouble with that was that up close, no one was mistaking his size or that he wasn’t human.

But he’d work with what he’d got. It wouldn’t be the first time. He’d heard a few rumours about two men in particular how had fingers in several pies. Plenty of them were questionable. It wasn’t hard to see that the hospital and clinics were short of materials. He’d first thought it was down to a lack of manufacturing but when he’d asked the Director, it was clear that they had sources locally that didn’t cause too many problems. Then names were mentioned in whispers. There were discrepancies between orders and deliveries. No one seemed to be able to get to the bottom of it. It looked like someone or several someone’s were cheating their own people. And then there were the unexplained deaths. The Empire didn’t like that.

He made his way to the part of the community where he knew what he was looking for would be. He made a quick home visit to a patient in that Sector and told them he’d be back shortly. Taking off he kept to the shadows in search of his quarry, removing his white coat and stashing it. The meeting point, he’d overheard was in the heart of the warehouse district. He made his way slowly around, listening for any details that would offer more insight and staying out of the light where possible.

It was all very quiet. Many of them not used in what seemed years. Old manufacturing that was no longer used. A testament to times gone by. RedX kept moving. Eventually seeing men up ahead hanging around what appeared an old bar, RedX stopped and zoomed in with his optic. It looked like they were guarding something or muscle. Either way it was interesting. They were being paid for something. Delivery trucks he recognised came and went. He strained his hearing and got bits of conversation but not enough. He needed to be nearer. Pulling back, he moved into the next street to be closer to the bar. Seeing the roof ladder, he started to climb. Keeping low once he reached it, walking to the edge of the roof, he had a view of the bar across the road. Turning his hearing to the max he concentrated on the interior.

It wasn’t as hard as he thought it would be. Tuning in, he focused on the people inside. A group of six but only two seemed to be doing the talking.

“…. that bitch should have been out of action for weeks if not months.

“Well she’s not. She was taken to the hospital and that tall medic that came rushing to her aid, fixed her up with some magical bed and she came out in a couple of hours. Petov … saw her going into the bar through the back door.” The guy had raised his voice in anger. They had someone watching the bar?… He hadn’t noticed anyone. Which means they were good…..

“Felps calm down, losing it isn’t going to fix it.” The first guy told him.

“Calm down? We were told to put her out of business Cannister, what do you think they are going to say when we tell them who we hired, are under arrest and the girl and Kurt are walking around?” So it was Felps and Cannister…. “What if they talk? Those Cyborgs are good at getting information out of people.”

“They won’t. They were paid well and know what talking will mean. Besides there’s more than one way to skin a cat.”

  “What do you mean?”

“Just that. If at first you don’t succeed…..” RedX grabbed the roof, close to jumping and taking them all on.

“…Ok, I’m in with that. Now business……” RedX saw movement on the street coming towards the bar. A human running. He gave a nod to who was on guard and entered the building.

He heard people inside turn as the door opened. “You were told to relay information and stay on the bar. What are you doing here?” Cannister…

“That big medic, he came to the bar and went inside. Shortly after the place locked down. I moved in closer and heard them fucking. He was inside for a good couple of hours with the girl. I moved back and waited, once he came out he put on his white coat and left in this direction. I got worried and followed. He made one stop to see a patient then ……… moved fast in this direction. I lost him a while back. He’s around looking for something I don’t know what.”

Chairs rustled. “Deal with it,” Felps told someone.

Footsteps and the front door opened. A man came out and called the guards, spoke with them and went back inside. The guards called runners forward. They’d now be looking for him…..

“We’ll deal with that bitch. Now back to business as I was saying, what happened on the last delivery?”

“We went to pick it up as normal, but security was swarming all over the place. Some more people have died from the switched-out gear. They were looking for how it had happened. Couldn’t get near our contact so had to take the order as was.”

  “That’s not public knowledge.” Cannister….

“No, our man at the hospital was reluctant to talk to me.
Didn’t want to draw attention. I cornered him, asked what the fuck was going on and he told me our business was over. They were keeping it under wraps. Looking for those responsible.”

“You sure it was our stuff?” Felps….

“He said, they were talking about placebos in place of real medication….”

“Thought you said that shit wasn’t detectable?” Cannister….

“It’s not, unless you’re relying on it to stay alive.” Felps…

  “Fuck.” Cannister….

“What did you think? If we were making the real stuff, we’d have been selling it to the hospital not swopping it out.” Felps…

RedX had heard enough. The death’s he’d found at the medical centre now made sense. Going back years, the records had all the right procedures in place, but people had still died, if they thought they were giving the right medication and it was fake, that answered that question.

He moved back from the edge of the building. “They’re not going to be happy. First the girl now this…” Cannister…. RedX stopped.

“We need to deal with that before they come looking for answers…” Felps…Who were they? “We tried nice… we use the backup - blow the place.” Felps…

RedX connected to his Commander over his neuro net and waited for the ping of connection. It opened. I have found the reasons for the deaths. Drugs being mis-sold. I have those responsible in my sights, the Wearhouse south of this location is the main base. Felps and Cannister the main agitators but there are at least 4 others and they answer to a higher boss. I have found my mate on this world. They are to bomb the bar she owns, sending location. He was already moving towards her.

Acknowledged. Good work. Teams on their way, withdraw, protect your female. Send data stream.

  Affirmative.

He cut the connection and slowly withdrew from the roof. Felps and Cannister’s men were looking for him so he took it slow but he needed to get to her fast. Avoiding any area’s they were located he headed in a roundabout way back to his patient. Slipping his coat back on he made it back and gave the vitamin injection he needed as quickly as possible then headed back to the bar. He had to get her out before it blew.

  ***

She woke to the place being quiet and a blanket wrapped around her. She knew immediately that she was alone. He was gone. Fucked and left her. Was she surprised? That sick feeling in her stomach told her she was…. Cyborgs didn’t lie. But then again, he’d not told her he’d stay either. Jamie threw off the blanket and sat up. Her body reminding her of their time together. She was a little sore, but she’d expected that. Gathering up the blanket she walked through into the bar and grabbed her clothes going up into Kurt’s place once more. Putting them all in the recycling she ordered a new set of clothes from the replicator and stepped into the shower. The sooner she was clean, the sooner he was washed away…. Old memories surfaced. Jamie gritted her teeth as tears threatened. She wasn’t that girl anymore…

Making quick work of it, she soaped and rinsed, not wanting to linger over the places he’d enjoyed and given her such pleasure, then stepped clear of the water stall. They were lucky on this world, they had plenty of water and it was all recycled so using it never felt like a burden and right at that moment she was glad of it. Taking a new towel from the replicator, she pulled her new clothing free too. Drying quickly, she pulled them on feeling better the moment she was dressed once more.

She couldn’t shift the feeling he’d fucked her and left for another reason other than wanting her. It burnt. Had she lost her senses? She descended down the stairs replaying it over in her mind. She’d called him out on being more than a medic. He’d not denied it but his interest in her had escalated from that point. Co-incidence? She didn’t believe in co-incidences. She picked up the cleaning materials and without trying to think on it too much, she went to the quiet room and cleaned the sofa, then the bar. Every inch of both were a memory. Sadness hit her and she picked up where she’d left off filling the shelves.

When was the last time she’d lost herself like that? She could only think of her first time. But that had been nothing like this. She’d not thought herself in love, just needed to feel needed and held by someone else. He’d not even left a fucking note! her mind screamed.

That wasn’t going to help her. She knew that. Had she thought herself in love this time? Did it happen that quickly? Or was it all lust? Jamie shook her head. Hell if she knew. But he’d said it was for life. Was that real?

She sighed and looked around the bar. The lump in her throat getting in her way. Damn it! She was a mess. She wanted the big lug and he’d dumped her on her ass and took off!

Why was she surprised? That’s what happened. She breathed in deeply calming her nerves. She was better than this. If that was it, she could move on. It wasn’t the first time and it might not be the last. She grabbed some more bottles and loaded up the shelf. There was a hour before staff would start rolling in. Just time to get the cleaners out and disinfect the place. “Computer, play music and cleaning routine.”

  “Affirmative.”

Music came out of the speakers and the bots came out of their storage area and started spraying and cleaning. Jamie finished up and made coda. Strong. She needed it. Taking a cup, she filled it. Then leant back against the bar sipping it. Her stomach rumbling. When was the last time she’d eaten? She couldn’t remember. Too much going on…. Banging on the door distracted her, telling her someone was outside.

“Fuck off we’re not open yet,” she shouted. She thought she heard her name being called over the music, the voice familiar and chose to ignore it. She’d done all the talking she was going to do. The banging got louder. “I told you to fuck off!” she screamed feeling instantly better for the outburst.

She heard the doors crash open and Red come storming back in and he wasn’t alone. He had others with him. Other Cyborgs. “Find it, he ordered.”

“What the fuck is going on?” she demanded as they rushed in.

  “They’ve placed a bomb.”

  “What?”

He came to her fast. “You need to get out now.”

Red made a grab for her as his men charged around with some kind of scanners. “A medic…,” she nodded ruefully looking at the chaos. She pulled her arm from his hand. “You’re not just a medic are you?” she demanded hands on hips.

He tried to grab her. He needed her out of the building. She wouldn’t survive a direct blast. He might and so might his men. “I’m many things to many people. Right now, I’m trying to save your ass from getting blown off and killed, foiling an attempt to kill you.”

Jamie stopped struggling. “They did this to kill me?”

“Yes, I’m sorry,” he told her. “They’re also responsible for a large number of unexplained deaths at the medical centre. Swopping real meds for fakes they could sell on.”

“Assholes. How’d you know the bomb is here?” she frowned.

RedX was close to grabbing her, throwing her over his shoulder and making a run for it. “Could we leave first, then I’ll explain. If it goes off….”

Jamie looked around, suddenly realising she was standing in the middle of a ground zero, nodding she strode for the door stopping some distance away from the building.

“Further.” He sounded agitated and right on her heels. “You need to get back further.” Jamie turned and walked further back until he seemed Satisfied.

Turning she confronted him. “Who the hell are you? And don’t tell me you’re a medic, because medics don’t go around finding out people are bombing places and steeling medicine.”

He kept an eye on his men moving in and out of the building. She was right and deserved answers. He opened his neuro net to the lead investigator inside the building. Anything?

  Negative not yet.

“I am a medic. It’s my specialism. That doesn’t mean I have less skill as a warrior than my brethren. I have the same as they do. I fight, I infiltrate, I orchestrate the outcome I need
. I am Cyborg its who we are.”

  “Did you orchestrate me earlier?”

“I did not lie to you.”

She nodded looking around, unable to look at him a moment longer. “But you weren’t wholly honest either, were you? You used sex to divert my attention to this very question and I let you.”

“I found my mate and shared time with her. Made a bond that if far more than anything else in this world.”

“A bond based on a lie…..,” she whispered.

RedX turned her face to him. “You are the one female I am connected with. That has nothing to do with my job, that is about how we are made. A female of our own is precious to us. A wonder so great that the odds on finding her are practically immeasurable. There is at 89% chance that most of us will never, find a female of our own. Do you think I would sacrifice that? Never. You are it for me. Job or no job Jamie. Make no mistake, I am your mate.” He hadn’t failed to notice that she wouldn’t look at him.

RedX had the feeling this was going downhill rapidly and there was little he could do to prevent it.

His anger wasn’t far from the surface. “I gave you your options. Explained all there was to know, and you choose us.”

Jamie turned to him. She was ready for a fight. She’d been so on board with what he’d told her that all her old fears and anger came to the surface. “You kept this from me. This is something I didn’t know and when you had the chance to tell me you were evasive. You kept me in the dark. What else is there that you are keeping from me? What else am I going to find out over time?”
