Devils Don't Fly

Page 12

by M. H. Soars

“I’m so sorry, Ollie. I wish I could’ve pulled my head out of my ass sooner.”

“Don’t apologize to me, Saylor. Not about that.” He moves his hip and his cock slides in an inch.

Pleasure shoots up my spine and I hiss.

“What’s the matter, sugar? Too much?” He does it again, going in very slowly.

“Oliver, if you don’t quit with the teasing, I’ll have to take matters into my own hands.”

  “Oh, is that a threat?”

  “You bet your ass it—”

I don’t get to finish that sentence as Oliver slides all the way in, cutting off my train of thought. I groan instead.

  “You were saying?”

“Quit talking and fuck me already.”

“I love when you talk dirty.”

He kisses me hard, the tempo of his tongue matching the tempo of his hips pumping into mine. I regret the layers of clothes; there isn’t enough contact between our bodies, and we’re generating enough heat to keep us both warm. The old wood floor creaks with the motion, giving me visions of the house collapsing with us inside.

“Ollie, how stable is this construction?” I say between kisses.

“Fear not, sugar. It’ll hold.” He kisses down my neck, leaving a trail of goose bumps in his wake.

“Oh God. This feels so good.” I arch my back, offering my entire body for his taking.

He grunts in response, an animalistic sound that sends me over the edge. I hold on to his arms for dear life. The pressure builds to impossible heights down below right before a wave of the most blissful orgasm hits me with a vengeance. The small tree house begins to spin out of control, forcing me to shut my eyes for a moment. I think I’m screaming, but I’m too lost in the moment to know for sure.

“That’s it, sugar. Come for me.”

Oliver moves faster, and I feel his cock getting even harder inside of me. I’m hit by another wave of pleasure, less intense this time but just as good. I don’t think I’ve ever had back-to-back orgasms in my life—not that I remember, anyway.

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Oliver says right before his entire frame shakes and his cock pulses inside of me.

He keeps fucking me, faster and faster through his release until, with a final jerky thrust, he collapses on top of me, bringing his mouth close to my ear. His warm breath fans over my skin, fast and out of control. It matches my own erratic heartbeat. Slowly, I slide my leg off his shoulder. It tingles as the blood starts circulating again. I didn’t realize it had gone numb.

Oliver pulls out, rolling onto his side. He keeps his arm across my stomach, hugging me tight.

  “Thank you,” he says.

I turn my face to his because that’s the only part of my body I’m capable of moving right now.

  “For what?”

  “For coming back to me.”

  “I made a promise that I would.”

“Do you remember that?” There’s hope in his tone.

“No. The work-in-progress song I finished told me that. I’m sorry.”

He pulls me closer and I rest my head on his chest. His familiar scent hits my nose, bringing everything into focus. The jumbled pieces of my life fall back into place. Home. Oliver is home to me.

  “It’s okay, sugar.”

“It still makes me sad that I can’t remember the past year of my life. I can’t remember how we fell in love. But I’ve decided to stop obsessing about it. I have to let go so I can move forward. We shouldn’t be looking toward the past. We’re not heading there.”

He kisses the top of my head. “We’ll make new memories, sugar, and they’ll be more epic than before.”

Felix barks several times down below. “I think our dog is done being ignored.”

  “Did he lead you here?”

“Yes, I gave him one of your T-shirts and Felix just took off.”

“Of all the wonderful things you’ve done in the past week, adopting that dog tops them all.”

“Really?” I raise my head so I can look into his eyes. “It tops even the last ten minutes?”

Oliver’s lips twist into a crooked grin. “The jury is still out on that one. I’ll need a reprise to be sure.”

I roll on top of him, leaning my forearm against his chest. “You seriously didn’t put me in the same category with Felix, did you?”

  “Aw, sugar. Are you jealous?”

  “Mega.”

He touches my cheek with the tips of his fingers. “Don’t be. No one else can compete with you, sugar. Not even the smartest motherfucking dog in the world.”

“Boy, that statement makes me feel so much better.”

“Should I John Legend it for you?”

“How about you Oliver Best it for me?”

His fingers tangle in my hair before he pulls me closer for a scorching, take-no-prisoners kiss.

I guess we’re having a reprise after all.

  Twenty-Three

  Saylor

I don’t remember how long we stayed in that tree house, but by the time we got back to the guesthouse, all the muscles in my body were frozen solid. Oliver drew a warm bath, and despite the tiredness that had finally caught up with me, I couldn’t refuse.

We didn’t make love in that tub, but our restless fingers did have their fun. When we hit the sack, thawed and pruny, it was lights out for me immediately.

I wake up to soft kisses on the back of my neck. Oliver’s arm is curled around my waist, trapping me against his naked body. His erection presses against my butt, and a brand new ache develops between my legs.

I make a soft noise in the back of my throat that sounds a lot like a cat purring. Yikes, could I be more embarrassing? It only seems to encourage Oliver further. He proceeds to leave a path of hot kisses down my spine, thoroughly waking up every single nerve in my body. When he reaches the middle of my back, my kneejerk reaction is to try to squirm away.

  “Stop, I’m ticklish down there.”

  “Really? That’s something I didn’t know.”

He continues to torture me despite my pleas. It’s impossible to escape his assault when I’m weak from giggling. “Oliver, come on. Not fair.”

“Where else are you ticklish?” He rolls me on my back right before he attacks the sides of my ribs with his torturous fingers.

“No!” I grab one of his wrists, laughing nonstop. “You’re evil.”

He straddles me, capturing both my hands and pinning them above my head. “I’m evil? You were the one who wore a dress last night that left me in a state of permanent arousal the entire time.”

“Shut up. I did not. Besides, that dress is not that sexy.”

“Oh, sugar. You make every single piece of clothing sexy.” His gaze drops to my breasts and a new glimmer of hunger appears in his eyes. “Although, I prefer when you wear nothing at all.”

He leans down and sweeps his tongue over my nipple, turning the nub hard as pebble. I arch my back, urging him to do more than tease. He chuckles against my breast before he brings the nipple to his mouth, sucking and licking the sensitive spot as if it were a popsicle.

I try to break free from his hold, but he won’t let me go. “Easy there, sugar.”

“I want to play too,” I say, almost breathless.

“You will, but let me taste you for a little longer.”

He switches his attention to my other breast, doubling the throbbing between my legs. I don’t know how we got anything done before. I never want to leave this bedroom.

Letting go of my nipple with a pop, he leans back and searches the room.

  “What are you looking for?”

Without answering, he jumps off the bed. It only takes me a second to find out what Oliver’s up to.

  “No way.”

His smile turns devilish when he twists my scarf into a makeshift rope. “Oh yes.”

Before I can sit up, Oliver is straddling me. I don’t put up a fight when he ties my wrists to the wrought iron headboard. A rush of excitement
runs through my veins as desire unfurls in the pit of my stomach. Anticipation is making my breathing shallow, short-circuiting my nerves.

  “Now, where was I?”

He returns to my breasts, lavishing them with more attention than before. While his mouth and tongue are busy with one, his hand plays with the other. I don’t know what’s worse, being at his mercy or not being able to touch him.

  “Ollie….”

  “Yes, sugar.”

  “I have an itch.”

  “Oh yeah? Where?”

  “Down below.”

“Hmm.” He runs his tongue across my breast. “Here?”

  “No, farther down.”

He continues on, peppering my feverish skin with sinful kisses that ought to be illegal.

  “How about now?”

  “Not even close.”

Chuckling, he moves farther down until his hands are splayed over my hip bones. I’m glad I decided to get a Brazilian wax before our impromptu trip.

“Fuck, sugar. The sight of you makes me want to weep. So beautiful.” He licks my outer lips and I buck my hips, the zing of pleasure almost too much to bear. He keeps me in place with his hands. “And also so delicious.”

His tongue finds my clit this time and it’s an explosion of sensations. I let out a cry as I lose the power to control my body. I’m at his mercy.

“I love the sounds you make.” He sucks my clit in his mouth at the same time his fingers find my entrance.

It’s just too fucking much, and I’m ashamed when I can’t hold off any longer. I scream his name and close my eyes, trying to milk every drop of this devastating orgasm. Oliver’s skillful ministrations don’t waver. No, they get better. He only stops licking me when my body melts against the mattress and I let out contented sigh.

“Nothing turns me on like the sight of you coming.”

I bring my knees up, opening myself to him. “Come and get what’s yours.”

With a groan, he’s on top of me faster than lightning, his cock sliding in with ease. He kisses me hard, my taste still all over his tongue. I fight against the hold on my wrists. He abandons my mouth to stare into my eyes, flashing me a lopsided grin.

  “Something bothering you, sugar?”

  “I want to touch you.”

His eyes zero in on the scarf around my wrists. “Have you noticed how tight your left hand is holding on to the scarf?”

“What?” I twist my neck, trying to see. Sure enough, the knuckles are already white from the strain. “Oh my God. I didn’t notice.”

“I think we should play this game more often.”

He pulls out almost completely only to hammer back inside of me with a precise thrust, cutting off the reply on the tip of my tongue. I let out a moan instead.

“What’s wrong, sugar? Feel like yelling my name again?”

  “Yes,” I hiss.

“Good.” He silences me with a kiss, and not much later, I do scream his name, many times over.

  OLIVER

  “What?”

  “Nothing.” I smile.

“Why do you keep staring at me?” Saylor puts the cup of coffee down, frowning.

“I can’t look at my beautiful wife?”

“You’re staring, not looking. You’re making me feel self-conscious.”

“Oh please. You look positively ravishing this morning. That glow on your cheeks… hmm, could that possibly have anything to do with the—” I raise my hand and count on my fingers silently. “—five times I made you come this morning?”

Saylor watches me through slits. “Don’t get cocky now.”

“Cocky? I’m not cocky. I’m a sex god.”

Felix barks once before returning to his bone and I continue. “See, even the dog agrees.”

Saylor rolls her eyes before picking up a piece of Danish pastry from her plate. The guesthouse is finally properly stocked with food and drinks. I’m not surprised after I almost bit Gilbert’s head off for being his usual incompetent arse.

“So, do you feel like practicing with Rita this morning?”

“I didn’t bring Rita.” She eyes me with suspicion.

  “Are you sure?”

I slide off the high chair and walk around Saylor. She turns to watch where I’m going. Even in one of my darkest hours, I remembered to pack Saylor’s beloved guitar. After what I witnessed her do this morning with the scarf, I’m glad I had the foresight.

I hid the case in the foyer closet, hoping the opportunity would come naturally. I didn’t want Saylor to feel pressured to keep practicing. As I retrieve it, I can’t keep the grin off my lips.

“I can’t believe you brought her.” She eyes the case longingly, all the proof I need that I made the right call.

“I didn’t bring the amps, but I ordered them yesterday. They should be here by the end of the day. I also brought my acoustic guitar, so you can practice with it if you want.”

“How long are we going to stay here?” There’s a peculiar tone to her question, and watching Saylor closely, I see guilt in her gaze. Shit, she did drop everything and her bandmates to come with me.

“If it were up to me, we would be on a flight back right now, but I can’t leave Nana. Not yet, anyway. My father is a certified asshole, but he’s still her son.”

“I understand.” Her gaze drops to her plate, prompting me to put the case down and breach the distance between us.

“Hey, everything will be okay, sugar. If you want to return to California, I’ll understand.”

Her face whips up so fast, it takes me by surprise.

“You want me to go back?”

“Hell no. But your life doesn’t revolve around me. You have a career to think about.”

Raising her right hand, she touches my cheek. “I’m not leaving you. We’ll think of something. I’ll stay here for as long as needed.”

I move closer to kiss her, but a knock on the door stops me short. Saylor looks over my shoulder and asks, “Expecting company?”

“Are you guys done with your lovemaking? I have plans for you two, and the clock is ticking,” Nana says from the other side of the door.

I cross the living room in two long strides, opening the door wide. Nana pushes me out her of way, her gaze zeroing in on Saylor.

  “Finally. It’s bloody freezing today.”

Saylor stands up, bringing the lapels of her furry robe close together. At least she’s wearing clothes underneath it.

“Why are you still wearing PJs? It’s past noon already. I want to show you our town.”

“I can get ready really quick.”

Nana shoots me an appreciative look. “I’m glad you didn’t choose one of those high-maintenance girls for a wife. We have enough of that nonsense already with your mother and Charlotte.”

I give Saylor a long stare. “I hit the jackpot with that one.”

My heart swells when my comment makes Saylor blush.

“Do you think Felix is going to be all right on his own?” she asks.

  “I sure hope so.”

“Are you still here, girly? Chop, chop. I’m not getting any younger, you know?”

Saylor runs to her room, closing the door behind her with a soft click. We didn’t have the chance to move her stuff to my room yet, or vice versa. I don’t care. As long as we’re no longer sleeping in separate rooms, I’m happy.

“So, I take it things have gone back to normal between you two despite Saylor’s amnesia?”

“Yes, at least I think so. The first month was rough, Nana, really rough. I honestly thought I would end up losing Saylor after all. If that had happened—” I get choked up and have to stop.

Nana is the only family member with whom I can be myself. Even when I tried my hardest to shut her out of my life like I did with everyone else, her support didn’t waver. I’m glad she never gave up on me.

She pats my arm. “I understand, darling. I loved your grandfather very dearly, even though ours was an arranged marriage. Burying him twenty
years ago was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.”

Saylor returns to the room wearing tight jeans and a thick sweater that hugs her curves perfectly. My cock twitches in my pants, despite my grandmother’s presence. Jesus, I’m a deviant when it comes to my wife.

  “I’m ready,” she declares.

“Good.” Nana claps her hands together. “Now if one of you could drag Charlotte out of her bed, I’d appreciate it.”

  “Bloody hell. Must she come?”

“Language, boy. I’m still your grandma. And yes, Charlotte must come, even if she doesn’t want to. I want to spend a nice winter’s day out with all my grandchildren.”

“I can get her going,” Saylor offers.

“Oh no. Allow me this pleasure.”

My lips curl into a grin. If I have to suffer Charlotte’s presence, I’m getting some satisfaction out of it.

  Twenty-Four

  Saylor

I don’t know what kind of stunt Oliver pulled with Charlotte, but she has fire spitting out of her mouth as she strides out of the main house. Oliver follows close behind, sporting a hint of mischief in his eyes. I notice also there’s a bright red spot on his cheek that looks a lot like a handprint.

“You’d better put a leash on your husband, Saylor,” the girl snaps at me right before getting into the car. Oliver’s grandma is already inside waiting.

“What did you do to Charlotte?” I narrow my eyes at him.

“Just a little prank I used to pull when we were little.”

  “And that is?”

His grin expands, taking up his entire face. “I poured icy water over her head.”

  “What? That’s mean!”

He shrugs. “That’s what big brothers are supposed to do.” He touches the sore spot on his face. “Although, she’s learned how to fight back. I better remember to get the hell out of Dodge next time.”

I point at him. “If you ever pull a stunt like that with me, expect more than a slap to the face.”

“Ah, sugar, I would never do that to you.” He moves closer and whispers in my ear, “There’s only one way I want to wake you, and that’s by eating your sweet pussy.”
