  Kaden stood up, showing no hint of his previous ire. He turned to Reysa. “Julian and I were discussing the trip.”

  “What trip?” Reysa questioned.

  “Our expedition to find Yasmine.” Kaden faced a frigid Julian. “I’m going to help you and Jules find her. Considering all that you’ve done for me, it’s the least I could do for you.” Kaden turned on the saccharine sweet charm when he needed it.

  Reysa’s eyes shone brightly at the unexpected kindness of Kaden. “I don’t know what to say.”

  Kaden clutched her and stared intently into those shimmering green eyes he could easily lose himself in. “There’s nothing to say. I owe you a debt of gratitude.” Kaden faced a fuming Julian. “Are you ready, Jules?”

  Julian threw his pack on his shoulders. “Oh, I’m ready, brother. I just hope you are.”
