Hostile Conquest

He reached down and gripped his cock, barely stopping his own orgasm. He rose to his feet. Fuck, that hadn’t happened since he was a kid. But when her cream slid down his throat like liquid sugar, Cade knew for sure he’d never get enough of her. She was drenched, the inside of her thighs wet with her honey, and the dampness even slid to the sheets. An aching rush shot through him at the knowledge he’d made her squirt, and it was such a rare treat. It was a different sort of hotness than an orgasm but no less explosive. And by the look on her curious but dazed face, she’d never experienced one before.
“What was that?” She was breathless, and yet she blushed at the same time. Her eyes glazed with desire dropped to his dick before swerving back to his face. His cock ached fiercely, and if he didn’t get inside her soon, Cade swore he’d come just from watching her. She licked her lips, and he groaned at the sight. “I’ve…I’ve never…”
His heart seemed to stop for a beat as he aligned the head of his dick to her opening. “You’ve never what?” She was drenched, so fucking slick with her desire.
She swallowed, and he bent over her, then placed a kiss on her mouth, slipped his tongue along hers for a few seconds before pulling back. “No one’s ever made you explode by touching your G-spot before?” He pushed his dick in slowly, relishing the way her cunt gripped him. Fuck, but this moment, flesh to flesh was heaven for him. He wanted to drown in her warmth and savor every pulsing ripple coming from her luscious pussy.
She panted. “No.”
“I’m honored to be the first one,” he murmured as he thrust all the way in. He bent forward and dipped his hands underneath her. He grasped her ass, forced her even closer to him as he sucked in her nipple. Her pussy spasmed around his hard flesh, and for just a second, he held still, enjoying her movements. She wrapped her legs around his waist, moaned his name, and lifted her hips upward. And when he slowed his pace, taking his time with her, branding this moment forever in his brain, she moaned, “Don’t stop.”
“NEVER. I CAN’T,” he growled as he quickened his plunges. She whimpered as the tip of his cock seemed to reach her womb, the slight pleasure and pain causing the stirring of her orgasm to become stronger.
It was the second time in two days she found herself begging him. She was crazy in lust for Cade, and being driven this senseless with desire was a first for her. When he’d bent his head to kiss her good night after dinner, she’d pressed her body closer to his, and as she felt his cock pushed against her stomach, Jazz had been swept away by the passion pounding in her veins. Her desire seemed to be an uncontrollable force around him. She’d responded to his kiss with equal passion and by clasping her hand aro C heseeund his dick, stroking up, then down.
“That’s it, baby. Squeeze my cock.”
Oh God, even his words drove her mad. The top strands of his hair fell over his brow, his skin glistened with sweat, and when he spoke to her this way, she never wanted to deny him anything. “Cade.”
His eyes darkened, and he seemed to take pleasure in the way she moaned his name, because he began to fuck her even harder. The desire she felt with him surpassed any fantasy she could ever dream of. Her nipples beaded hard against the slight dusting of his chest hair. She scratched his shoulders lightly and then dug her nails into his flesh as the swirling orgasm she tried desperately to keep at bay almost reached its peak.
“Tighten on me,” he whispered before bending down and taking the tip of her breast into his mouth. Sucking hard, his hands constricted on her hips as he continued to pound into her.
This was it. She could almost taste the point of no return, the pivotal moment where she would climax. It seemed to zoom past down the pit of her stomach, zeroing on her clit. And when he bit her nipple, his teeth pressing down a bit too harshly, she screamed his name, evaporating into a million pieces.
In her mindless haze of passion, she was still able to hear him clearly, and his words stretched her orgasm even longer. “You want it, don’t you, baby? You like the feel of me coming inside you.”
“Yes.”
And it appeared it was what he wanted to hear, because secon
ds later his dick throbbed once, then twice, and he growled her name before spilling his hot seed inside her.
Chapter Seven
Damn it! She was late, and it not only left her flustered but angered her too. After Saturday night’s hot sex session, Jazz had allowed Cade to spend the night, where he’d wakened her two times more. Just thinking about the way she’d lost herself in him had her shuddering with need. She was quickly becoming addicted to him, and she didn’t know how she felt about it.
Monday morning, her first big day with Cade in the office, and she dressed quickly in a navy suit with black pumps. Lucky for her it’d become a habit to lay her clothing out the night before. She’d brushed her hair in a sleek, high ponytail and wore minimal makeup since she’d had to do it in her car.
She entered the Chamber Street building that housed her offices, feeling nervous. And it had nothing to do with her tardiness, and everything to do with Cade. He was her new partner, and the fact still shocked her, causing some apprehension. She’d work with her father closely for years, but this was outside her element. She was comfortable working with various people in her corporation, but she didn’t think she’d ever encountered anyone as self-assured as Cade. He was also her lover, and they were developing a relationship. She still wasn’t convinced it mixed well with business. But while seeing him was optional, their business relationship wasn’t.
Nodding her head to the security guards, she made her way to the elevators. The doors parted, and then she entered before quickly pressing the button for the twentieth floor. Glad she was alone, she inhaled deeply and used the few minutes to calm her nerves. This was going to be more difficult than she’d thought, and if she didn’t get ahold of her emotions, she’d make a fool of herself. Even when she’d trained with her father, she’d always held her professional persona in check, and it had become a habit for her to never deviate from that facade. The bell signaling her arrival had her stiffening her spine.
Here Fng to goes. The doors opened, and she stepped out. Her executive assistant immediately handed her some messages. “Good morning, Jazz.”
“Good morning, Monica. How was your weekend?” Jazz made her way to the office quickly, and Monica kept the same pace walking beside her.
“It was great, thanks. I just want to express my condolences again on your loss. Your words at the funeral were beautiful. Your father was an amazing man, and a wonderful boss.”
Jazz eyed her friend. Not only was she a hard worker who ran a tight ship in the office, but throughout the years Monica had become someone Jazz could trust. “Thank you. I know he expressed to me how wonderful you’ve been since the very first day you began here.”
“The messages I just handed to you were left on the general voice mail. I’ve also e-mailed you about them, but thought I’d call attention to Brogan Lexington. He’s on his way in, and in my opinion your number-one priority.”
She’d met with Brogan numerous times. He was the architect for the Greece hotel. Renovations of an old building they’d acquired in Santorini were set to begin later this week. “What’s the problem?”
“It will be another ninety days before we get the building permit. Brogan was on his scheduled flight on Wednesday to make sure all the forms were in order. When he met with one of the officers at the building department, they claimed there was a backlog in the paperwork.”
Jazz entered her office and set her bag down on the desk. “What happened? We were scheduled to have that permit on Friday. The construction crews have already arrived, the materials have been bought, and to wait another ninety days will cost us substantially.”
Monica smiled. “You’ll figure a way out. You learned from the very best.” She made her way to the door but stopped. “I got the e-mail you sent to the employees notifying everyone Cade is your new partner. He’s here, you know.”
She swallowed. “He’s here?” Of course he was. She wouldn’t have expected him to be anywhere else. Still, hearing it had her stomach clenching. She’d had all Sunday to prepare for this, and she should be ready.
“Has been for two hours. He’s in your father’s old office. Since your dad had retired last year, there wasn’t anything to move or clean up. I hope you don’t mind the fact he’s using your father’s furniture. If you do, it’s totally understandable. I can have new pieces ordered today and delivered by tomorrow morning.”
Jazz turned her head and looked at the adjoining door that connected her office to Cade’s. She glanced back at Monica. “If Cade doesn’t mind using them, it’s fine. Call our IT department and have them install a computer with all connections today.”
“I’ve already contacted them. They should be here shortly. Who is he, Jazz?”
“I’ve read a few articles on him but only met him a few days ago.” Suddenly, she was weak, and her legs were actually trembling. The truth of it all threatened to overwhelm her. She sat down and desperately tried to get in control. “This is all new to me. Cade now owns half of Cortez, and my father managed to keep it all a secret up until the will was read. Coming to terms with the fact Dad didn’t let me know what he planned is hard. I keep trying to remember if I’ve either missed something he had told me, or if he ever insinuated I couldn’t run what he began alone.”
“I know you don’t understand it now, but I’m sure your father did what he thought was best for you. I’m going to catch up on some work. I’ll be right outside, if you need anything.”
Jazz nodded as Monica cl K asn up. I hoosed her office door. She turned once again to the connecting entrance and wondered if she was brave enough to walk through. She hadn’t been in her father’s office for months, and she suspected watching Cade sit in what used to be her father’s workspace would be difficult. Why did it all have to collide at once?
Jazz rose to her feet and walked over to the entryway. She’d taken just a few steps but quickly stopped at the sight of Cade walking through the door and striding toward her. God, he was so strikingly sexy. His gray suit was molded to his body, and his dark hair fell forward across his brow. But it was his eyes that seemed to always draw her to him and made her want to tell him everything.
He stopped a few inches from her, and the need to close her eyes and inhale his scent was strong. She was already a puddle of desire, and if he reached for her, she was sure she’d melt further. She cleared her throat. “Good morning. I’m running a bit behind this morning.”
He arched a brow and smiled sexily. “Do tell.”
She felt the heat of a blush slowly overtake her cheeks. How was it he’d known her for such a short amount of time and was still able to read her so easily? “Monica mentioned you arrived two hours earlier. I’m sorry I wasn’t here to show you everything. The IT department should be up to install your computer. We have a lot of work to do and getting you caught up with everything takes precedence over anything else. But first I have to deal with a permit problem at our Greece location.”
Cade wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her toward him. “This is how we should greet each other every morning.”
Jazz whimpered as he slowly bent his head and softly slid his lips against hers. She opened, allowing his tongue into her mouth, and then sliding her own against his. He tasted minty and masculine at the same time, and the mixture dampened her panties in arousal. Her nipples pressed against the satin of her bra as he slid his lips back and forth while his tongue mimicked the act of his dick fucking her. She savored it. The eroticism of the act had her trembling with the combination of being held and being kissed so hotly.
Cade pulled back. “Let’s make it a point to do it every day. Now, give me the background on the permit issue.”
Every day? Jazz took one step back from him, needing the space to concentrate. “There’s a problem—”
A knock at the door shattered her thoughts. “Come in.”
“Jazz, we need to talk.” Brogan whizzed into the office and closed the door behind him. As soon as he saw Cade, he stilled his step. Brogan was an exceptionally good-looking man with clean-cut looks, blond shoulder-length hair tied at the nape, and mischievous blue eyes that seemed to twinkle when he tried to charm her.
He was flawless as an architect, meticulously etching each detail to perfection, taking months to work on what her father and she wanted for their Greece location. And through their weekly meetings in the first year, she’d gotten to know him quite a bit. He’d asked her out often enough, and though she thought he was attractive, there was simply never a spark between them.
“Cade West, meet Brogan Lexington, our architect for the new hotel. Brogan, this is Cade. He’s my new partner at Cortez Enterprise.”
“Your partner? Since when?”
Just as she was about to answer, Cade chimed in. “Since this weekend. It’s nice to meet you.” Both men shook hands.
She could feel the edges of a headache coming on. “I was just about to update Cade on the situation. Why don’t we all sit down and review what we have and figure out a solu Kre r stion to this?”
She slid her gaze over
Cade as he pulled a chair to her side and sat. Brogan took the opposite chair across from her. She had a feeling this was going to be a long day.
Chapter Eight
She glanced at her clock as she stepped through the door and turned to close it. Home by eight at night. With her father ill, Jazz had made it a point to not work after five. But today had been an epic day of eventful proportions, dealing with permits, employees, and following up with the other hotels. She was drained and exhausted but restless.
After three phone calls to the building department in Greece, it seemed the holdup had been a simple typo in the location. The address in their application request had been for a building that had burned down months ago, and their investigator was confused as to why it never matched up to the plans submitted by Brogan. Instead of them confirming via phone call, the application had been shoved on the back burner and never processed. Now that the mistake was fixed, their wait time was still thirty days. But Jazz considered that a breakthrough, since their original estimated time had been at least ninety.
The construction crews would head back home tomorrow for at least three and a half weeks before heading back out again. Allowing them to stay in Greece made no sense. Cortez Enterprise’s budget for this would feel the heat, but she’d find a way to make it up elsewhere.
She was surprised though when Cade had immediately jumped in and dealt with several issues that had arisen. He’d handled each with ease and with a natural confidence she’d seen in him before. To say she’d been impressed was putting it mildly. Watching him handle each call and problem had been exhilarating, and she had to silently admit she’d wanted him to fuck her in the same way.
When it had been time for her to leave, she’d stepped into Cade’s office, astonished he was still working and on the phone. She had bid him a quick good-bye just as he’d risen from his chair, still on the call, but Jazz was able to make her escape. Though she’d desperately wanted to spend some personal time with him, a little bit of distance was also a good thing.
Jazz placed her bag and keys on the table by the foyer just as her bell rang. She opened the door, and every muscle in her seemed to the freeze at the sight of her mother and Matthew. “How were you able get past the security guard?”
Maria pushed her way inside as Matthew followed, and for a second Jazz was tempted to flee from her own place. It would be so easy to go to Jax, but she held her ground.
“Everyone can be bought.” Her mother turned to face her. “You simply have to name a price they’ll accept.”
Jazz left the door slightly ajar and turned to face her. “What do you want?”
“Well, you’ve been ignoring my calls and so you’ve forced this confrontation. I’ve been playing with the idea of contesting the will. True, we were
divorced, but in my eyes, I deserve more money. After all, I did bear you solely because he wanted a child. The pain I went through to give him what he wanted, well, he should have left me enough to live comfortably for the rest of my life.”
She’d suspected her mother had given her father the baby he wanted simply to please her dad, but still hearing the truth hurt. Jazz buried the pain at hearing those words once more. Her mother would have a field day if she knew she’d struck a bull’s-eye straight to her heart. Jazz smiled at them, hiding the hurt effectively. They would never see eye to eye. “Apparently Dad didn’t see it that way, Nre r o he and I fully agree. You’re delusional. Fight the will all you want. I’m his only child, and you were no longer married at the time of his death. And let’s not forget he divorced you because you committed adultery. You’d be thrown out of court.”
Matthew grabbed his wife’s arm. “Sweetheart, why don’t you wait in the car while Jazz and I have a chat? Perhaps I’ll be able to reason with her.”
“Wonderful idea, darling,” she replied, before turning her attention to Jazz. “You are our daughter. I suggest you listen to what he has to say,” Maria stated snidely, before walking out the door.
“You can leave with her.” Jazz realized the mistake she’d made too late as she turned to face Matthew. She hadn’t put enough distance between them, and he was way too close for her comfort. She took a step back. He took one forward. He seemed to loom over her, his muscles locked rigid as if he was ready to attack. She’d never been alone with Matthew before, had never felt comfortable about it. She purposely avoided situations just like this due to the feeling of dread that always settled in the pit of her stomach when he was in the room.
“My, you’ve grown into such a strong and beautiful woman. I had always wished you remained in our home, and your mother and I should have pressured you to come back.” He continued to walk toward her and didn’t stop until her back was against the wall and she had nowhere else to go. There was something about his unnervingly calm demeanor that screamed as a threat to her. And then she made the mistake of looking into his gaze, and she could have sworn what she saw in them was complete anger.
