ABOUT THE AUTHOR
James Sie was born in New Jersey and raised by a Chinese father and an Italian mother. He wrote and performed a solo show about his bicultural upbringing, Talking with My Hands, at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, where he now lives with his husband and their son. His plays have been produced in Chicago, New York, and Seattle, among other places. In addition to writing, Sie currently works as a voice-over artist in animation, most notably featured in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Jackie Chan Adventures.

Sungyoon Choi is an illustrator and a comic book artist living in Los Angeles, California. She studied illustration as visual essay in the MFA program at the School of Visual Arts. She illustrated the graphic novels American Widow and Mission in a Bottle.
