Tally, Tank, Ridge, and Boomer all hit him in the back of the head as they boarded. But it was Fling who said, “Brother, I need dry land, this being out to sea for four days sucked. No way am I doing this again. So shut up and sit down, we have an hour until we’re home.”
Anya laughed as Maci danced around the deck from person to person, hugging them and telling them how much she loved them. Torch put an arm around her shoulder and whispered, “Does anyone notice she’s pickpocketing them?”
“Nah, they won’t find out until they get home, and by then, she will have bedazzled them. Coco had a bedazzle thing aboard she said. Maci was excited to play with it, so yeah,” Anya said and shook her head. “I should never have let Loki babysit her for the afternoon.”
Loki turned around and smiled and said, “What? You want me to babysit again?”
“Fuck no,” Torch said, and the other man pouted, but his phone rang, and Loki pulled it out from his back pocket and answered it without looking. “You have reached the sexiest man on earth, how may I help you?”
Anya laughed and shook her head until she saw the look on Loki’s face and then she stopped and looked around the deck. The men moved as one to their brother and waited. When he hung up the phone, Loki looked at Fling and said, “My mom’s cover was blown; she’s missing in Singapore.”
They all frowned and looked at Fling who swore before he said, “That motherfucker.”
“What do you need?” Torch said, and he looked at Fling.
“Everything we can get our hands on.”

Excerpt from Capo Ricco
Cosa Nostra Book One
by Harley McRide
Ricco had only seen pictures of her. She was beautiful that was true, her long black hair and her blue eyes were her best features. What he liked was she wasn’t model thin and pretentious, no, she was full-figured and from what he heard she was a straight shooter, in every sense of the word. Since coming to Vegas a few years ago, she had gotten the nickname Black Widow, which didn’t bother him either. What did bother him though was she had grown her father’s business in Vegas. In the past they had been on opposite sides of the strip, now, after her father had built his large casino called Rome two blocks away, they were a little too close.
He had been waiting for this showdown to happen. Because the land she wanted, he owned, or he would when Lucinda passed away. The family wouldn’t own it, he personally would, why? Because Lucinda’s husband had been his right hand man, prior to his death more than a year ago. He had been killed protecting Ricco, which meant his wife and son were his to protect as well, the arrangement was made for protection. Nothing would happen to them, even if his kid was a dumbshit. Ricco was working on that as well, but Johnny was gonna need a serious lesson soon, the first one, just didn’t take.
Ricco turned on the street and pulled his black sports car into the parking space right in front of the door. He saw there were two men standing outside the door, dressed in suits and wearing sunglasses. Wow, did they even realize they looked like dumbasses. Mr. Acciai told him a long time ago he didn’t give a shit what he wore when working, he thought wearing suits all the time was pretentious, and that was one thing the family was not. His boss didn’t give a shit what others said, nor did he give a shit what Ricco did, as long as the family was protected. He rolled out of his car and smoothly walked around the front of it. As he approached the front door he saw both men hesitate, they knew who he was, hell, everyone in Vegas knew who he was. He just wondered what their orders were.
As he drew closer the men made a wise decision, they shuffled to either side of the door and he shook his head and chuckled as he opened it. “Good choice,” he said smoothly and quietly. He could have sworn he saw one of the men jump, but of course he could be just imagining that.
“I am sorry…” he heard Lucinda saying hesitantly.
“Ms. Bianci, I am trying to help you. I would not be here if I wasn’t. I understand your hesitation,” the woman who was sitting in front of Lucinda said. He saw Lucinda look up and she met his eyes. He shook his head slightly and he saw she understood what he was saying, which was to keep silent for a few minutes. Ricco really wanted to hear how Bella was going to help her.
“I really don’t need help though,” Lucinda said with a stronger voice. Ricco crossed his feet and leaned back on the counter behind him. He knew he was quiet when he moved, but really he figured the woman would be more aware of her surroundings. She had her back to the door, which showed she trusted the two idiots out front, the ones who had let him sneak up on their boss. If they worked for him, their ass would have been running errands not guarding.
About the Author

Now that her kids are grown and in college, she and her husband have the time to enjoy the great outdoors, traveling, and riding to places they’ve never been.
Writing has been the last piece of her life to complete the circle. Harley enjoys bringing two of her passions together, writing and motorcycles, sharing with readers in the hope they will enjoy the stories as much as she enjoys writing them.
When her life feels as though it is becoming overwhelming, she can always count on her mother, Mama McRide, to bring it back to balance by keeping her on her toes and focusing on what is important – living life to its fullest.
