Les headed home, hoping Ax would be there when he got there. He usually beat him home, but with him leaving work early, he might get there first. As much as he wanted to just kick back and be lazy, he had to think about his mom. If he didn't go searching, he would feel guilty, but the truth was, he was running out of places to look. It was pointless to drive around aimlessly. At this point, the chance of seeing his mother walking down the sidewalk was slim.

He forced the thoughts from his mind. Maybe he would take the night off. He could cook dinner for Ax and focus on them for a few hours. He was sure Ax was tired of going out with him searching. They deserved a night together.

Ax wasn't home as he walked into the apartment. It was strange being there alone. It had been awhile since he had time to himself other than the drive to and from work. He took a minute to sit and enjoy the silence, but the silence also gave him time to think. That wasn't good. Somehow, he needed to get his mother off his mind for a few, but the guilt of not searching for her was eating at him.

How long could he keep this up? What if they never found her? He couldn't stop living because of it. Pushing up from the couch, he made his way to the bedroom, stripping his clothes as he walked. He'd take a shower, cook dinner for Ax, then spend the night watching a movie. He needed the break.

Once in the shower, the water helped to ease his aching muscles. It was amazing how hard stress was on a body. He closed his eyes, wishing the water could wash away the stress along with the dirt.

  "Care if I join you?"

He turned and smiled, finding Ax stripping off his clothes. "I'd love for you to." He stepped aside so that Ax could get in with him. "How was your day?"

"Long." Ax wrapped his hands around Les's waist. "Yours?"

"Unproductive. I have no focus." Les leaned against Ax's body. "I missed you."

"Missed you too." Ax kissed his ear. "No news?"

"Nothing." Les sighed. "I don't want to go look tonight. I want to stay home."

Ax looked surprised, but nodded. "Okay. You know I'll do whatever you want to."

"I want to cook you dinner, hold you on the couch, watch a movie, and for just a few hours, act like everything is normal. We can pick up the stress again tomorrow."

"That sounds like a plan." Ax smiled. "Can I help you cook?"

"If you want." Les reached for the soap and started to work it over Ax's body. "What are you in the mood for?"

"Something simple. I think we have pork chops thawed. We can cook those and make pasta salad or something to go with them."

"Mmm, will you make that ranch dressing pasta thing you made that one night?"

"If you promise me ice cream for dessert." Ax grinned.

"You and your ice cream." Les laughed. "Yes, I promise."

"Good. It's a fuzzy robe and ice cream kinda night." Ax smiled.

"Don't go there. You'll have me remembering the first night I saw you in that fuzzy robe." He moved the soap over Ax's ass, enjoying being close and holding each other after such a long week.

"Hmm, I could repeat that. It would be kind of fun to see how different things might be this time."

Les groaned. "We haven't had sex in over a week. I might rip it off you."

"I'm not complaining." Ax brought his lips down over Les's, stealing a long kiss.

Savoring the feel of Ax in his arms, Les let go of all the stress and worry that had plagued him over the week. He pressed his body close to Ax's, enjoying the feel of his body against his own. His cock stirred, and against his leg, Ax's did the same.

"We keep this up and it's going to be a late dinner." Ax cupped his hands to Les's ass, forcing him even closer.

"I didn't know we had a schedule to keep." Les nipped at his chin as he snaked his hand between them and took both their cocks in his fist.

"Jesus, that feels good." Ax groaned, rocking his hips.

It was the most alive he'd been all week. Watching Ax's eyes close, seeing his lips part and hearing the soft gasps were enough to drive him insane. He would never get enough of Ax.

Sliding to his knees, he ignored the water flowing over his head, and bent in, licking over Ax's balls, teasing them with his tongue. He continued to stroke Ax's cock for several minutes before he took him into his mouth and started to suck.

"I could watch your mouth on me forever. It turns me on so much to see it slide between your lips." Ax rocked his hips back and forth as his fingers tangled in Les's hair.

Les focused on nothing but bringing Ax pleasure. He wanted nothing more than to taste him on his tongue, swallow around him, and feel his cock pulse in his mouth.

He almost cried when Ax suddenly pulled away.

"I want more than this. I need to feel you inside me. I want you to fuck me hard." Ax hooked his hands under Les's arms and helped him stand. "Take me to bed so we can do more."

"I should refuse. Do you know how close I was to tasting you?" Les was already turning off the water, trying to ignore the need that burned through his body.

"Too close." Ax reached for two towels, handing one to Les.

"This is dangerous. I'm not sure I can be gentle." Les was worried his need for release was too much. His emotions were so on edge, he wasn't sure he could go slowly.

"I don't want gentle. I want you to fuck me hard. I want to feel it the rest of the night. You can't hurt me, Les. Give me what I need." Ax was already headed out of the bathroom, wiggling his ass as he headed into the bedroom.

Les gripped his own cock, fighting a mix of need and guilt. He wanted Ax something fierce, but also in the back of his mind, he couldn't let go that his mother was still missing and he probably shouldn't be having sex while she was gone.

As he watched Ax climb on the bed, he forced his guilt away. He needed this. Turning his complete attention to Ax, he met him at the bed, smiling as he climbed onto it. "I've missed this." He scraped his teeth over Ax's shoulder.

"Me too." Ax reached between them and stroked Les's cock. "How do you want me?"

Les kissed him, taking the time to slow things down a bit. He trembled under Ax's attention, but he had to keep control or this would be over before it really got started.

"On your knees. I want to take you from behind." It was his favorite position. He loved being able to hold Ax's hips, and pull him back against him as his cock slid into him. The only downfall was he couldn't watch Ax's face while they were that way, and he loved seeing the look on his face when he came.

"Like this?" Ax got into position, sticking his ass high into the air.

"Yes." Les slapped his ass playfully. "I swear you have the sexiest ass I've ever seen."

"Then you haven't looked in the mirror at yours." Ax smiled back at him.

Les laughed as he ran his hands over Ax's ass cheeks. "We'll have to agree to disagree." He lowered himself and licked up the crack before settling against his hole and teasing him with his tongue.

Ax groaned and rocked his hips back, pressing his ass against Les's tongue. "Fuck me with it."

Les was more than willing to give him what he wanted. He pressed his tongue into him, allowing Ax's rocking to put pressure so that he slipped deeper as he reached around him and found Ax's cock. He fisted it tightly before moving his hand over it, stroking him gently.

"Don't make me come." Ax's voice trembled.

"Then I need to take you soon. I can't wait." He pulled back before turning and grabbing a condom and the bottle of lube off the nightstand.

It took only a minute to prepare, and as he rubbed lube over Ax's hole, he prayed that he would be able to last once he was inside him. He still struggled against the tightness of Ax's body. The way his body seemed to grip around him was so intense, it was all Les could do not to come while he was still sliding inside.

He pressed the head of his cock to his ass and pushed, holding his breath as he breached him and slowly watched his cock sink into the warmth. He gripped Ax's hips in his hands and slowly started to move, sinking deeper with each thrust.
r />   "Hard. Make me feel it all night." Ax pushed back against him.

Les smiled at the thought of Ax thinking about him with every step he took. "Like this?"

He snapped his hips forward hard, slamming into him.

"Yes, more." Ax fisted the pillow under his head.

Glad that Ax liked it wild and hard, Les gave him what he wanted. His body slammed against Ax's, only Les's grip on his hips keeping him from flying forward into the headboard. He kept up the rhythm for several minutes, his body tensing, his balls rocking, and his mind fogging as he focused on his own pleasure.

Ax worked his own cock, and Les was able to tell from the grunts and gasps that he was getting just as close to coming as he was. "I'm close." Les's head arched back, his eyes closed, and his cock pulsed as it slid in and out of Ax in hard, solid strokes.

It took only a few more thrusts, and Les lost it, his body tightening as his cock shot streams of cum, pulsing and jerking deep inside Ax's body. He cried out as Ax followed him over, his ass clenching around him, pulling him deeper as Ax fell forward onto the pillow, his body shaking through his release.

They stayed that way for several minutes, both trying to catch their breath. It was Ax who recovered first, flattening his body to the bed, causing Les's cock to slip from him.

Les rolled to his side, still trying to get air into his lungs and push away the post-orgasmic haze that filled his head. "Are you okay?"

"Best I've been all week." Ax smile at him.

"Me too." Les sighed. "I can't move. Can we nap and eat later?" Les pulled the condom off and tossed it in the trash.

"Yeah, I think that's a great idea." Ax curled up against Les, holding him tightly against his body.

Forgetting everything but the feel of Ax in his arms, Les closed his eyes. He'd sleep just a bit, and then he would face the stress that surrounded his life. Just for a few minutes, he needed the quiet and solace that came from being with Ax like this.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Ax watched Les as he stared out the window, watching the sidewalks for any sign of his mother. They'd gone out looking most of the day, and now, as they headed to Sarah's for the twins' birthday dinner, he wondered how much more of this Les could take.

He couldn't imagine what he was going through. Even with the rough relationship he had with his own parents, he would lose his mind if one of them went missing, especially knowing they weren't in their right mind.

It was frustrating not being able to do anything to make it easier on Les. He wanted to comfort him, but words only went so far. There wasn't anything that would make it okay other than finding his mom, and the longer she was gone, the less likely it became that they would find her safe.

He'd almost backed out on going to Sarah's, but in the end, Ax decided it was better to keep Les busy and doing something so he didn't think about it as much. Hopefully, the twins would help take his mind off things for a while.

It had been nice staying home for the night. They'd had sex three times, never really leaving the bed other than to get a few snacks. It had been a good night. Just what the two of them needed.

"Will your parents hate that we are dating?" Les asked.

"No, they are okay that I'm gay. It's the whole gender fluid thing they freak out over. It should be peaceful. That's one reason I didn't wear a dress even though I really wanted to today. I figured it was better to play it safe and save the arguments. I didn't want to ruin the kids' birthday with a bunch of yelling and fighting." Ax hated he couldn't be who he was around his own family. It was a struggle when he really felt feminine and was forced to dress as a man. It was the same for work. He hated that he just couldn't get up every morning and dress the way he wanted to.

"And here I was hoping I could stare at your legs all night." Les grinned.

"I should have worn shorts." Ax reached over and covered Les's hand. "I promise soon I'll wear that short skirt you like so much."

"You promised a sexy modeling show, and that never happened." Les gave his hand a squeeze. "Once things settle down, we can take more time for us. I'm sorry I've been so distracted the last week."

"Don't you dare apologize. Your mom is missing. You have every right to be distracted. I'm not worried about us. We'll make this work." He hoped it would. As far as he was concerned, things were going fine. They hadn't seen Jeff all week, and Les seemed to be more than okay with sex with a man. He was still cautious of letting his heart jump ahead like it wanted to, but he really hoped that this was something that could last long-term.

If he was honest with himself, he was already in love with Les. There was just something keeping him from saying the words. He wasn't usually so cautious, but with Les, it was almost as if he was going to jinx things if he admitted his feelings too soon. He didn't want anything to get in the way of what they had.

"Ready for this?" Ax pulled up in front of his sister's house.

"Ready as I can be." Les smiled over at him. "It won't be too bad. I've already met your sister."

"True, but Mom and Dad can be a bit much. Then again, if I get you and Dad talking history and guns, you might actually enjoy them." Ax got out of the car and met Les on the sidewalk. Linking their hands, he took a deep breath. "Be ready for two young bursts of energy to come running once we get inside.

He loved his nephews more than anything. They helped ease the knowledge that he probably wouldn't be having any of his own kids in the future. As much as he wanted them, it wasn't so easy to adopt, and he didn't have a clue if Les wanted kids. Not that he dared do more than hope they were together long enough to have that conversation someday.

The door opened as they walked up the front steps. "Hi, I'm glad you two came." Sarah stepped out and hugged Ax, then turned to Les. "It's good to see you again."

"You too." Les grinned. "Thanks for inviting us."

"Don't thank me yet. The twins are on a sugar rush, and I'm afraid they show no signs of slowing down." Sarah sighed. "Come on in and meet my husband." She led them inside.

As soon as they were in the house, both twins screamed, running to them. "Uncle Ax." They both leaped for him.

Ax caught them in his arms, laughing. "Happy Birthday!"

"Thanks, wait until you see what Mom and Dad got us. Come on." They tugged at him.

"Just a minute. I want you to meet my boyfriend, Les, first. Les, this is Kelsie and Kyle, my favorite nephews."

Les waved. "It's nice to meet you. Happy Birthday."

"Thanks." Kelsie grinned. "You come see too." He reached for Les's hand.

"Looks like we'll be right back." Ax smiled at his sister as he let the boys lead them through the house to the back door, where they pushed it open and ran out into the backyard.

  "Look!" Kyle pointed.

"Wow." Ax looked shocked, even though he had known what Sarah was getting them for weeks now. He glanced at Les. "That's pretty cool, isn't it?" He stared at the large swing set and other play equipment his sister and her husband had gotten for the boys.

"It's amazing. Look at that slide." Les playfully looked amazed.

"Want to see me go down?" Kyle asked.

  "I sure do," Les answered.

The boys ran off to play and Ax reached for Les's hand. "I love those two."

"You can tell they love you too." Les leaned in and kissed Ax's cheek. "You're easy to love."

"I bet my sister would argue that." Ax laughed as he watched the boys take turns going down the slide. They watched for a few minutes, then Ax called out, "we're going inside to help your mom. Be careful out here." He led Les back inside.

"Les," Sarah smiled as they walked in. "This is my husband, Jacob."

"Nice to meet you." Les offered his hand.

"You as well." Jacob shook his hand.

"Mom and Dad are on their way." Sarah sighed. "Dad asked if you were here yet, and if I knew what you were wearing. I told him I didn't know, but I hoped it was the yellow dress I loaned you."

  Ax laughed. "I love
you so much, Sis, but you shouldn't piss Dad off."

"The hell I shouldn't. One way or another, I'm going to get them to understand you."

"He never will. It's okay. I don't need their approval to be who I am."

"And they should love you no matter who you are." Sarah sighed as she kissed Ax's cheek. "You know how I feel about this. I'll never stop fighting for you."

"I love you for that, but it's not worth the arguments it causes. I only see them a few times a year." Ax hugged her.

"I hope your parents are more accepting." Sarah looked to Les.

Les shook his head. "Sadly not. My father is very homophobic. My mother, well, I think she just follows along because of my dad. She's never really expressed her views out loud." Les swallowed hard.

"Les's mom is missing right now. She has dementia and wandered off. We've been searching for her for the last week," Ax informed them.

"Oh, my God." Sarah turned to face Les. "She's the one on the news?"

  Les nodded.

"I am so sorry. That has to be so hard. I can't even imagine." She hugged him. "You don't have to stay here for the party if you need to be with your father."

Les shook his head. "He doesn't want us over there. I'm okay. We've searched everywhere. There isn't much more we can do other than wait. We drive around looking, but we've already searched everywhere and made sure all the shelters and hospitals have been alerted. Ax has helped so much, but really, being here helps take my mind off things for a while."

"If we can do anything to help, please just tell us," Jacob offered. "We can drive around, make phone calls, or do anything else you need."

"Thanks, but for now, it's all done. We just wait." Les sighed. "Each day gets harder. I know with every passing hour that the chance of her coming home is slimmer. I try not to think about it."

"Well, hopefully, we can help distract you tonight. I can't promise anything, but the twins should keep you entertained for a few hours, and hopefully, my parents don't start a fight with Ax." Sarah smiled.
