“How’s that going? Is he settling in okay?” Janis asked as she sipped her iced tea.

“Oh, yes, he’s already gotten some local clients.”

“I hear the condo you’re moving into is fabulous. Jill says it’s one of their nicest ones yet.”

“Yes, we finish moving in this week. I can’t wait. You and Bryan should come over.”

“Maybe we can help you. I’ll check with him.”

“That would be awesome. We can barbeque afterward. Our first company dinner in our new home,” Lyndsey said. “Wednesday is the day we’re moving. Stop by after work. You can help me put dishes away while the guys grill.”

“Sounds like a plan. I’ll get back to you.”

Their meal arrived and as they ate they chatted some more. Janis asked her again about the D/s relationship she had entered into with John. “You know that Darcy and Darrin are far more into it than Bryan and I.”

“You had mentioned that. We are experimenting. I have a safe word and John doesn’t get too carried away. I think he’s still afraid of scaring me off.”

“Could you be…scared off?” Janis asked.

  “No.”

  “You’re pretty positive about that.”

“Janis, I don’t know how to explain this. It’s like I told John, there’s this sort of…longing…inside me. A longing to be cared for and the only thing I can think of that has caused this need is the fact I lost my parents when I was a toddler. John takes care of me.”

“I understand that. I don’t have that longing, as you put it, but I found out when Bryan and I were apart that I missed him taking care of me.”

“It’s the little things, you know, like running a bath for me after a long day or bringing me breakfast in bed on a Saturday morning. Or even just the fact that he takes care of the bills so I don’t have to worry about any of that. I know a lot of guys do that, but it’s the way he does it.”

“I get that completely. With me, it was going to a restaurant and having him order for me.”

“Like I said, it’s the little things.”

“Well, I hate to end a fun time, but I’ve got to get back to the office. I’ll let you know about Wednesday. Maybe we can both sneak away from the office a few hours early. What are your plans for this afternoon?” Janis asked as she laid her credit card on the plate to pay the bill. “Lunch is on me, by the way.”

“Thank you. I plan to spend the afternoon shopping for our trip, although John won’t tell me where we’re going.”

“Ah, his little surprise,” Janis said with a giggle.

“I told him I didn’t want extravagant or exotic.”

“We did that and it was wonderful, but you know what you want.” Janis stood up to go. “Have fun shopping.”

Lyndsey wandered through the stores, picking up a few items here and there. She bought lingerie, perfume and one outfit. When she was finished, she took time to relax with a cup of iced coffee before going home. She still had packing to do for the move and John had promised to help her that evening. They were planning to order a pizza for dinner.

Glancing at her watch, she saw that her relaxing afternoon was soon coming to an end. It was time to go home and get to work. If they were going to finish moving on Wednesday, she had to get busy.

John was already home when she arrived at the apartment. He greeted her with a kiss. “Have a good time with Janis?” he asked.

“We had a great lunch and I went honeymoon shopping when she went back to work. Let me put these things away and I’ll be right out. You can’t see them yet.” She giggled as she ran down the hallway when he tried to peek into one of the bags.

She joined him in the kitchen and saw that he had already started packing dishes. She picked up a glass and rolled newspaper around it before placing it with the others in a box.

“I stopped at the grocery and got more boxes after work,” he said.

“Good. Oh, by the way, Janis said that she and Bryan could possibly come over to the condo Wednesday after work and help unpack. I told her we could barbeque.”

“That we can do,” he agreed. “It would be great to have some help. I figure maybe you can take a few car loads of boxes over tomorrow and get started and then we can finish up on Wednesday. The rest of the week is for the pre-wedding events. So we have to get done.”

“We should be able to finish up. We just have the kitchen to do and our clothes. Everything else is there already.”

“The kitchen is what will take the longest. My dishes and things are already unpacked, but you have a lot of stuff.”

“Yes, I guess I do,” she laughed. “And if we get more for wedding gifts, where will we put it all?”

“I think you’ll have plenty of room in that kitchen. It’s something else.”

  “Yes, I love it.”

They packed four cabinets full of dishes, mugs and glasses before stopping to order the pizza. After a quick meal, they packed another cupboard full.

“I’m ready to call it a night. Come on, let’s wind down for the night,” John suggested when she’d packed the last plate.

“Sounds good to me,” she agreed.

“You can have the bathroom first. I have some bills to pay. I’m trying to get everything taken care of before the madness of the rest of the week hits. I want to be able to relax and enjoy our vacation,” he said as they walked out of the kitchen together.

“Okay, I won’t be long.” She walked to the bathroom and decided on a quick shower to revive herself rather than a long soak in the tub. She wasn’t ready to go to sleep yet and she hoped John wasn’t either.

She scurried across the hall to the bedroom after her shower. Waiting until she heard John enter the bathroom, she went to the bed and readied herself. She was going to surprise him. Positioning herself on the bed, completely nude, she picked up the silver handcuffs from the bedside table. They hadn’t used them for a while and she missed them. She missed the feel of the cold steel on her wrist, the feeling of surrender she felt when John closed the lock, reminding her that he was his and his alone. She hurriedly fastened one end to the bedpost and the other end to her wrist. Clasping the lock, she lay in wait for her man. She laughed when she thought about the argument they’d had about moving the bed. He had said they could sleep on the floor a few nights and she had told him absolutely not. She had stood her ground and he had relented. She assured him they needed a bed until the day they moved. After all, where would she fasten the other end of the handcuffs to if they were romping on the floor? Not to mention, they didn’t need stiff joints the week of their wedding.

When he entered the bedroom a few minutes later, he stood in the door and took in the sight that greeted him from the bed.

“Wifey wants to play?” he asked.

“Well, I’m not exactly your wife just yet, so let’s just say your girlfriend wants to play before you become a married man.” She giggled.

“Oh, I see,” he said as he joined her on the bed. “You’d better hope I know where the key to those cuffs are,” he teased.

Her eyes got as big as saucers as he threw his head back and chuckled heartily. “Gotcha,” he said just before his lips devoured hers in a searing kiss.

The kiss grew in passion until she was writhing beneath him. He broke the connection and reached into the bedside table drawer. Withdrawing a second pair of handcuffs, he took her other wrist and securely fastened one cuff before attaching the other end to the bedpost. He looked down at her and grinned, “Got you right where I want you now.” And then he kissed her.

His lips lingered on hers, scorching her, feeding her desire for him. Moving down to her bare shoulders and then to her breasts, the right one first, and then the left, caressing them, kissing them, suckling the pert, round buds. His tongue seared along her belly as he teased her. Lightly lapping at her clitoris, teasing strokes of the tongue made her cry out as he lifted her legs and rested them on his shoulder in order to gain better access to his target. With each l
ight wisp of his tongue, she shivered. When it happened and she began to shudder uncontrollably, he didn’t stop, yet kept on, giving even more pleasure. After the climax had subsided, he positioned himself on top of her and teased her again by inserting a portion of his rock hard cock into her weeping core. He withdrew and inserted more, withdrawing again, teasing her as she thrashed around on the bed, unable to touch him. He reached over and once again opened the drawer to the bedside table. This time he removed a small plug and lube. Taking great care to lubricate the plug thoroughly before inserting it, he leaned down to kiss her again.

Lyndsey watched as he spread the cream onto the plug. She knew what it was and she knew what he intended to do with it. It wasn’t something they’d tried before. She was helpless to stop him. She didn’t want to. She craved something new, something exciting. She…longed…for it. She wasn’t to be disappointed, for after he had adequately moistened the butt plug, he gently inserted it into her anus until it was securely in place. It felt odd to her, foreign, but when he thrust his dick into her moistness and began to move inside her, a new feeling overtook her. One of incredibly delightful sensations, sensations she had never before experienced. She moved in unison with him, the plug making the friction of their union even more intense. She couldn’t begin to describe the feelings washing over her body, taking over her senses. They reached the summit together and when they came down from the high, he gently removed the plug and went into the other room to clean it. When he returned, he kissed her before holding the keys to the cuffs in front of her face. “Hmm…should I or shouldn’t I?” he teased.

She laughed as he unlocked one and removed it from her wrist. He removed the other and gently massaged both wrists. “Are you okay?” he asked. “I didn’t hear the safe word.”

“I didn’t need the safe word.”

He rolled over and pulled her into his arms. He was sleeping within minutes, but Lyndsey lay awake for a while. He was slowly introducing her to his non-vanilla desires and for that she was grateful. Nothing had appalled her or frightened her as yet. She had experienced ecstasy she had never imagined possible with John. Her stuffed shirt ad guy had turned out to be anything but a stuffed shirt. She hadn’t thought she could love him more, but was finding she was falling more in love with this complex man every day.

  Chapter Eight

“Oh, I absolutely love this place,” Janis said after she was given a tour of the condo by Lyndsey.

“Hey, your hubby designed it,” Lyndsey reminded her.

“I didn’t work on these, so I hadn’t really looked at the designs. I was working on some lower priced condos. Bryan gets all the higher end assignments.”

“He’s more experienced. You’ll get your turn, I’m sure,” Lyndsey assured her.

“I love what you’ve done with it so far. The mixture of yours and John’s things has worked out great.”

“Yes, we went around and around, but we finally figured out how to make it all work.”

“I guess we’d better get busy if we’re going to have you all unpacked by the end of the night,” Janis said as they walked back into the kitchen. Bryan was helping John move their clothes into the two large bedroom closets.

“Yes, they left the hard work to us. That’s okay, they’ll reward us with food,” Lyndsey said with a laugh. “I’ve got almost everything unpacked. I worked all day yesterday bringing boxes over and unpacking them. There’s just a few more. I think after that, we’re pretty much finished.”

“Until you open the wedding gifts,” Janis reminded her. “We opened all of ours when we got back from our trip. It was a job finding a spot for everything.”

“I know. We have two households of stuff already. I can only imagine. We may just get rid of some of the old.”

“I think you still have some cupboard space, though, so you may be okay. I can’t get over how big and efficient this kitchen is. Our place is nice, but this is just wonderful.”

“You’re right, your place is very nice,” Lyndsey agreed.

They joined the guys on the patio a few minutes later. The meat was on the grill and John had made a salad earlier. Bryan was placing potatoes and veggies wrapped in foil on the grill with the steaks.

“Smells delicious out here,” Janis said as she sat in one of the chairs.

Lyndsey followed her out with glasses of ice and a pitcher of sweet tea. “I’ll pour drinks for all of us while we wait on the food.”

“It’s a beautiful fall evening,” Janis remarked as she took a glass of tea from Lyndsey.

“The weekend forecast is great, too. Nice day for a wedding Saturday if anyone would be so inclined,” Bryan teased.

The group laughed together. Lyndsey sat down and relaxed for the first time all day. “This is great, the four of us together.”

“Yes, who would have ever thought?” Janis said in a slightly embarrassed tone.

“Hey, if I’d been you and heard the things you heard, I wouldn’t have liked me either,” Lyndsey said with a grin.

“What’s the plan for the rest of the week?” Bryan asked.

John answered as he turned the steaks. “Tomorrow night the girls are going out for dinner and you, me, Jarrod and one of the guys from my Pennsylvania office are having our bachelor bash. Blake is flying in tomorrow afternoon. The rest of the crew gets in Friday.

“So the wedding party consists of me, Jarrod, and Blake. The gals are Janis, Jill, and Joanne, right?” Bryan asked.

“That’s right. We asked Jill and Jarrod after Maeve decided there should be and extra couple. She wanted an even number,” Lyndsey said.

They all laughed. “That’s my mom,” Bryan said.

“Seriously, she had done a fabulous job. I owe her so much,” Lyndsey said.

“She’s had a blast doing it, Sis.”

“You called me Sis. You’ve never done that.” Lyndsey stood up and hugged Bryan.

“You are my little sister, in every way that matters.”

“Aw, this is a Kodak moment. I need a camera,” Janis said with a grin.

“There will be plenty of Kodak moments over the next few days, Janis,” John reminded her with a wink. “Let the kids have their moment.”

The meal was soon ready and the foursome enjoyed a great evening together. When the dishes were done, Bryan suggested they call it a night. “There’s a big three days ahead of us. John, Jarrod and I will meet you and your friend at the restaurant at seven.”

“Sounds good,” John replied. “Thanks again for all your help.”

Janis hugged Lyndsey. “And I’ll see you at seven. Jill and I will meet you and Joanne.”

  “Goodnight.”

John put his arm around her as they walked inside and locked up for the night. “Come on, it’s our first night in our new home. We need to get some rest.”

“We aren’t going to christen it?” she asked with a pout.

“Not tonight, my love. We have a big weekend ahead. You need your beauty sleep and so do I. We have all next week to play.”

Lyndsey was disappointed, but she knew it would be best not to disagree with him a few days before their wedding. Things had gone smoothly and she was not eager to rock the boat, at least not just yet.

She got ready for bed and climbed in beside him a short time later. He pulled her close and held her until she fell asleep. She slept deeply, more tired than she had realized. She woke refreshed and rested, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the air. She slipped her feet into the slippers next to her bed, wrapped herself in her satin robe and padded out to the kitchen.

“Good morning, Sleepyhead,” John said as he turned to her from the stove where he was cooking.

“What smells so good, besides the coffee?” she asked.

“Omelets, I figure we have a busy day ahead, we need some protein.”

“I have to go to Maeve’s and we have tons of errands. What’s on your agenda?” she asked as she poured herself a cup of coffee.

  “I am pick
ing up the tuxes, picking Blake up at the airport and some other errands.”

“I’m so glad your staff is all flying down for the wedding.”

“They’re good people,” he said as he slid an omelet onto a plate and set it in front of her.

“Of course they are, they were handpicked by you,” she said with a smile.

“Flattery will get you everywhere, but for now, eat up. You have things to do.”

“Yes, Sir,” she replied without thinking.

He turned to her with raised eyebrows but didn’t comment.

An hour later, she was out the door and on her way to Maeve’s house in Franklin. Their first stop was the dress shop for the final fitting on her gown. If something was amiss, there was still time to fix it.

She walked out of the dressing room and noticed immediately that Maeve had tears in her eyes.

“Oh, Maeve, don’t cry,” she said.

“Happy tears, my dear. You look like a vision. Your mama would be so proud.”

“She would and I hope my other Mama is proud, too.”

“Oh, I am. But I can’t promise there won’t be more tears between now and Saturday.”

“That’s perfectly all right. Now, how does the dress look?”

The salesclerk looked at her and said, “It looks perfect to me. What do the two of you think?”

Lyndsey looked in the mirror and caught her breath. “It looks great to me. Wow!”

“Does it feel like it fits?” Maeve asked.

“It feels perfect, not too tight, and not too loose.”

“As far as I’m concerned, we’re ready to take it home,” Maeve told the salesclerk.

That chore out of the way, they moved on to the next. They stopped by the flower shop to check on their order. Next was the country club to make the final arrangements for the reception. Everything seemed to be going as planned.

“Let’s grab a bite to eat. We can’t have the bride passing out from hunger,” Maeve said when they left the club. From there they drove to a nearby restaurant. When they had satisfied their hunger, the next stop was the mall to pick up some last minute items.
