  The Common Elements Romance Project

  Coming November 2019

This book is in collaboration with a lot of other romance authors. It isn’t a bundle, anthology, or boxed set. We each write our own book with a number of common elements. This new western romance isn’t in any of my series. Will it turn into a series? I don’t know, but it is possible. Coming in November 2019.

Look for future books by Mary.

  About the Author

Mary found her niche when she began writing in the contemporary western romance genre. More books are on the horizon. She dabbles in the paranormal genre, and has written two time-travel romance novels, which are now out of print.

She lives in the U.S.A., and is a mom to two sons and a daughter-in-law. Her career was in education working with children with learning disabilities and Title One programs at the elementary and middle school levels. She’s taught creative writing for a college leisure program.

Besides writing, Mary enjoys photography, reading, going to the opera and dinner with friends, and traveling. Her dream came true when she retired and was able to write full-time.

  Blurb

Wade Emory falls fast for women, yet it’s a well-known fact his relationships don’t last. He learns whether they do or don’t, the past harbors secrets and lies that don’t always stay hidden. On a trip to the Pacific Coast to visit his ill brother, he slips into his bad habit when he meets a hotheaded mom with a son who spews four-letter words. However, after enjoying nearly a week with them, she and the boy board a plane early. Before she leaves his life forever, he convinces her to meet up again to pick up where they left off on the beach. Life’s lessons have taught him that, often, people don’t stick around, so how can he prevent this from becoming another failure?

Sophie Price-Daniels needs a change of scenery. The opportunity arises when she flies to California to bail her troublemaking brother out of jail. When he directs his anger at her and her boy, a stranger steps in, but a hero is the last thing she wants. She’s alone and living in her self-appointed prison of grief, until…until she peers into his warm yet saddened eyes. As desires long forgotten force their way to the surface, she’s faced with a dilemma—to give in to her needs and accept a new future is possible for her and her son—or back away and continue to believe she’s betraying a man who is no longer with them.

Two lonely people need to trust each other—and themselves—to overcome their unfortunate pasts.
