He traced the outline of her full lips with a finger. “We shall travel between here and your beloved Paris. And I shall buy you jewels to match your glorious eyes. Loving me will be your job from now on. No more spying."
She nibbled his ear, saying softly, “My Lord and Master."
"The war is over. Let England and France sort out their own problems,” he persisted, determined that she should understand how he felt as he held on valiantly against the passion filling his heart, mind, body, and soul.
"Oui," Angelique said impatiently. Her fingers traced the dark hair below his navel, moving down.
"I shall get that in writing from you, later, my lady.” His voice softened. “Much later."
"Tomorrow my contact from the English government will arrive. I shall give him the list,” she said, her words ending in a groan.
Jason looked up from kissing the velvety soft skin of her inner thigh. “And who might that be?"
"Lord Firth, Laurence's father. He has suspected Sir Harold Austerely for some time."
Jason threw off the bedclothes. Angelique caught her breath at the passionate intent in his eyes. “It is close to dawn,” he said as he gazed down at her lovely body. “We waste valuable time, my love."
