True Consequences Page 11

by Robert Barnes

All computer systems want to be user friendly, so they try their best to go the extra mile. That’s probably the reason why the system was programmed to say the customer’s name. Now I knew that Trey’s credit card had been used for gas when they’d stolen the BMW and that the twins were the ones who’d come down. Tammy would’ve been the only one who could set it all up though. I went to Tammy’s closet and pulled her little diary out. I flipped through to try to find out anything I could about Frank and Terry. However, before I could find anything, I heard the BMW pull into the driveway.

I neatly placed everything back like it was in the closet and headed to the living room. Tammy came in wearing some little shorts and a top that exposed her belly. She smiled and asked how long I’d been back from Richmond. I told her that I’d just gotten back so she wouldn’t think anything. She said that she’d been at Patrick Henry Mall looking in the maternity store. We made small talk for a while, and then I told her I was planning a trip to visit Trey soon. She got quiet for a minute then she said that I should wait until everything was finished in Richmond before I went to see Trey. Now when I looked at her, all I saw was a lie but I had to keep her close until I found out everything I needed to know. She came and sat beside me on the sectional and tried to cuddle up like we were the perfect couple. It took everything in me not to spit in her face.

Instead, I asked her to go to the kitchen and pour me a glass of cognac on the rocks. When she came back with the drink, I had one of my porno’s playing on the big screen. She handed me the drink while telling me how nasty I was. Unbeknownst to her, I was watching a flick because I wanted to avoid her pussy if it was possible, since I didn’t know if she was fucking Terry or anyone else. The female on the porno was making some guy’s dick disappear in her throat, and it was turning me on.

Tammy sat down and cuddled next to me again, so I grabbed her hand and put it down my sweats. She started stroking without further instruction. The guy on the porno started fucking the female doggie style like he was trying to climb into her stomach. I put my drink down and pulled my sweats and boxers off, so Tammy could get the full stroke with one hand and massage my nuts with the other one. I had to keep looking away from the television, so I wouldn’t bust off too early.

Then I did something that I’d never done with Tammy before. I grabbed her hair and pulled her face so that her mouth was right over my dick. She pulled her head away until I started rubbing my dick in circles around her lips. She finally started to slowly open her mouth and take more of my dick in her mouth. I gently pushed her head down further and further.

Every now and then, she’d come all the way up and gasp for air, but then I’d push her back down. After awhile, I could tell that she was getting excited because she pulled her shorts to one side and slowly moved up and down as she rubbed on her clit while she sucked my dick. I was ready to explode, but I was trying not to let her know that I was about to cum. The lady on the porno was getting fucked by two guys now—one in the ass, and one in the pussy. My ass rose off the seat of the couch and my back arched as I pushed Tammy’s head further down.

She was almost at the gagging point when I knew it was about to get messy. I locked my hips forward and pushed her head down and held it so that my dick was on her tonsils. I came and came for what seemed like forever. After my last convulsion, I released her head and she jumped up and ran to the kitchen sink. It sounded like she was dying as she coughed and spit for about five minutes.

I couldn’t help but smile, knowing that she’d probably been kissing or fucking someone else hours earlier. After she finished spitting she went to her bathroom to gargle with mouthwash for another ten minutes. I got up, washed my dick off, and got dressed; then I grabbed the keys to the Beemer and headed out the door without saying a word to Tammy. I had left a lot of pussy for the wolves over the last two years, but all that would soon change. I drove the BMW up to the dealership that I got it from on J. Clyde Boulevard.

I spoke to the female I knew that worked there and had her change the title to my brother Andre’s name. No matter what happened in the future, Tammy wouldn’t have shit with her name on it. I left the BMW dealership and went to the clinic on Thimble Shoals to find out how long before I could find out paternity of the twins. I didn’t get the answer I was looking for, but I had to deal with it. The nurse at the front desk told me that I’d have to wait until after the twins were born to find out who the father was. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to stay with Tammy until then without her knowing that I knew she was a fake bitch.

My next stop was the post office so I could receive a fax from the owner of the laundry mat. I called him and had him fax me a new copy of our lease-to-own agreement. I signed my name only and sent it back to him. He now knew that Tammy was no longer involved with the laundry mat. That took care of all of the small things, but I had major issues to deal with now. Black Jay called me as I headed back to Derby Run. He’d gotten word that Tyrone was seen in a dark gray Oldsmobile and his girl Ebony was the driver. A few cocaine dealers from Church Hill that he dealt with had given him that info. I told him that I’d be getting back in touch with him very soon and I immediately called Rodney.

Rodney answered on the first ring. I let him know the new info on Tyrone, and I promised that we’d handle it once all the kilos were sold. It was hard to imagine that a few years ago, Tyrone and I were fucking the same girls and having fun together. Now, the only place I could picture him was in a casket. When I got back to Derby Run, Tammy was curled up in the bed asleep. She looked so innocent laying on her side with that little belly poked out, but I knew that she was no good. I climbed in bed beside her so I could rest up for another day.

  11

The next morning I woke up bright and early and prepared for a better day than the one before. Tammy was still knocked out, so I went to the kitchen and made some toast and eggs for myself. While I ate breakfast, I watched the news on the television. It was a little after 6 am and the news anchor was reporting some breaking news. Three people had been shot in an apparent home invasion, but no names had been released yet because none of their families had been notified. Then they showed the crime scene and I dropped and spilled the glass of orange juice I was drinking. There was crime scene tape all around the condo in Henrico and a body directly outside the front door was covered with a white sheet.

I grabbed my cell before I listened to anything else and called Rodney, but his cell just kept ringing. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I knew that things had just gotten really bad. There were at least twenty guys with DEA and ATF vests on at the crime scene. The police said they believed the shootings were drug related and that they would have more info at a press conference after the families were contacted. They didn’t say how many people were dead or what information they had at the time.

Even though it was six in the morning, I still called Black Jay’s cell. After I called about ten times, he answered the phone. He was half-asleep until I told him that someone had ran up in our spot in Richmond. I asked if he’d seen the news, but of course he hadn’t seen anything since last night. He said that he’d met Rodney last night a little after 11 pm off Broad Street. I told him to find out everything he could and call me back. I ran into my room and threw on some sweats, a t-shirt and my Nikes. I grabbed the keys to the BMW and headed out the door without telling Tammy anything. It was still early, but I was going to Richmond to get some answers.

I’d been on the highway about twenty minutes, when I got a call on my cell from an unknown number. At first I wasn’t gonna answer, but then I decided to answer anyway. It was Carla, Rodney’s on and off again stripper girlfriend. She was crying and trying to talk at the same time. The only thing I understood was her saying that Rodney had been shot at least three times and that he was in surgery at MCV Hospital in Richmond. He was being guarded by police officers and no one was permitted to visit him yet. His condition was critical because he had internal injuries and was in a coma. She said that
Rodney’s mother had called her and told her all this info in the past hour. She kept asking me if I knew why Rodney had been staying in Richmond over the last few days. I told her that I didn’t know what was going on, but that I’d find out and call her later.

I had no intentions at all of calling Carla back because I had more important shit to take care of. My nerves were going bad because everything around me was going from sugar to shit. Rodney was the only person that I trusted enough to handle this street shit with me and now he was fighting for his life because of it. When I finally got to Henrico, I pulled into Tree Top apartments, instead of turning right into the court where the condo was at. I walked up to the court to see that the condo was still surrounded with yellow crime scene tape.

There weren’t any officers or agents at the condo anymore, but I wasn’t gonna go inside the condo because I was sure it was being watched. So, I went to the nosey neighbor’s house. She answered the door and invited me in. As soon as she closed the door, she started talking about how many police with big alphabets on their vests had been in and out of the condo. She said that they’d asked her if she knew who stayed in the condo and she’d told them no. The only thing she did know other than what the news said was that she’d heard at least twenty shots being fired at about 3 am.

She had been too scared to look out the window because it sounded like they were right in her front yard shooting. By the time she did look out, there were over fifty officers outside and someone covered in a white sheet in front of the door. As she was telling me her story, the local news channel announced that the press conference was about to begin concerning the shootings. We sat and listened to the news report. The first thing they did was read off the list of individuals that they knew were involved. Rodney Wooten, Tyrone Battle, and Ebony Smith were the three individuals in or around the condo. I started to lose my breath when they named Tyrone and Ebony.

Then they said that Tyrone and Ebony had both been killed and Rodney was fighting for his life and in critical condition. The police didn’t believe anyone else was involved, but were still gathering evidence. They also reported that a large amount of drugs and money had been found in the residence, as well as a number of weapons. The police were working with the owner of the condo to determine who was actually living in the condo. There’d been no forced entry and only two of the individuals were believed to have been shooting. A green Lexus had been taken from the front of the condo for investigation purposes. They finished the news conference by saying that they hoped Rodney pulled through so he could provide answers to their questions. I had enough answers for the moment, so I thanked the neighbor and headed back to my BMW. When I got to the car, I called Black Jay again. He picked up before the first ring was finished. He had just seen the same news confer- ence that I had seen.

He couldn’t believe it any more than I could, especially since Tyrone and Ebony were involved. I asked him how much cocaine did Rodney give him last night so I could try to guess how many kilos were left in the condo. He told me that he’d gotten four kilos and he still owed the money for all of them because Rodney didn’t wanna come out later to pick it up. Money wasn’t really on my mind at that time but knowing that I had $100,000 coming to me helped out some. Over $50,000 was found in the condo by agents, along with one kilo and the guns that were used in the shooting.

Black Jay asked if the owner of the condo knew me and that was the first time I started thinking about me possibly being contacted. Without answering, I told Black Jay to meet me in the food court of Regency Mall in the next hour. As I was driving towards the mall, I remembered that Tyrone had been the one paying rent for the last couple of months. He and I had met the owner together but he was the one that saw him every month to pay. If he was found inside the house, then the police probably thought that he was still staying there and that the drugs and guns belonged to him.

I needed my main man Rodney to pull through so this shit wouldn’t continue to weigh on my conscience like it was doing. I felt sorry for Tyrone’s family because they had no idea of the life that he’d been living. I didn’t give a fuck about him though, because he had tried to bring harm to me on more than one occasion. I still had a lot of shit at home to take care of, and now I’d have to handle it without my right hand man. I met Black Jay at the food court and we discussed the entire situation for awhile.

After we finished talking, he handed me a Footlocker shopping bag with a big shoe box in it. He told me all the money he owed was inside. I told him that I’d be in touch with him in the future when everything died down. We both left the food court and went in separate directions. I knew then that my Richmond days were over with and I had no plans of returning.

I left Regency Mall and Richmond without looking back. Once I got back near Hampton, I decided to take all of the money in the shoebox to my parent’s house. The Sentra that I had given to Andre was parked out front when I arrived. The door to the house was unlocked, so I went in and put the shoebox of money in my old closet along with the false bottom suitcases. Andre’s room door was closed, but I heard him and his girlfriend in the room messing around.

Both my parents were gone, so I quietly left the house and headed back to Derby Run. Once I pulled up, I realized that the Sonata was gone, so instead of going in the house, I decided to ride out towards Hampton Club. It only took about five minutes to get to the street that Hampton Club was on from Derby Run. I took a right off of Hardy Cash and drove towards the Hampton Club entrance. I was looking left and right at the town houses before I got to Hampton Club.

I was about to turn around when I spotted my Sonata just barely sticking out beside a black S500 Benz. The townhouse that the cars were parked in front of was a corner house, so I decided to park one street over and take a look around back. There was a small fence in the back that I easily hopped over and I eased my way to the back door. The back door was mostly glass and it had a light colored curtain covering most of it, but the curtain was pulled a little bit to one side so light could come into the house. I got on the ground and crawled to the door so I could look into the house from the bottom of the door without anyone seeing me.

As soon as my eyes focused into the room, I saw something that made the pit of my stomach ache. Tammy was fully nude with her belly sticking out as she faced forward. Terry was sitting back on the couch and Tammy was riding his dick, reverse cowgirl style, with her back facing him. She was using his thighs to push off of, and I had a clear view of his dick sliding in and out of her wet pussy. Tammy had her eyes closed and was biting on one side of her lip as she pushed her pussy down harder on Terry’s dick.

Just when I thought I had seen it all, Tammy got off of Terry’s dick, got down on her knees and started sucking his dick. The sunlight made the wet hairs and lips of Tammy’s pussy glisten. I didn’t stay any longer, because I had seen enough. As I sprinted back to the BMW, I had to stop several times to catch my breath. I had been with a lot of females in the past that were fucking other guys too, but I had never fallen for one like I had with Tammy.

It felt like someone had put a knife in my stomach and started twisting it. Every little bit of love or anything else I had felt for Tammy had just poured out of me. I got in the BMW and headed back to Derby Run to plan my next move. I decided I would need Isaac involved, since he was already in good with Frank and Terry. After I got back to Derby Run, I started packing my clothes into the three suitcases that I had. It was time to end this fake shit.

Once I had everything I needed packed up, I loaded the suitcases into the back of the BMW. I didn’t know where I was gonna end up, but I knew that I could never sleep in the same place with Tammy ever again. Something inside me was telling me to walk away from everything and take the money I had and invest it. My mother always told me that I was hard headed, and that’s the reason why I knew I couldn’t just walk away. I called Isaac and he informed me that he was on Roanoke Avenue preparing for his evening rush. I told him that we needed to discuss some importan
t shit ASAP.

We decided to meet at the park at the end of Big Bethel in Hampton by the softball fields. He said he needed at least another hour to finish packaging his heroin, so I told him to meet me in two hours. Isaac pulled up beside me at the park about ten minutes after I arrived. He got into my BMW and we discussed our business. He told me that Frank and Terry were expecting a big shipment of heroin that weekend. I needed him to find out exactly where they were meeting to make the exchange.

We talked about Tammy and what I had planned for the future. He saw that some of my belongings were in the back seat of my BMW and he realized I was serious about leaving her. I told him that I saw her car at the townhouses he told me about, but I couldn’t tell him what else I saw. I told him I needed the information about the exchange very soon so I could set things up for the weekend. We talked for about fifteen minutes and then Isaac jumped in his Acura and went back towards Roanoke Avenue.

I headed towards Bethel Manor. When I got by Bethel High School, I got a call on my cell from Tammy at Derby Run. She was trying to sound sincere, but I could tell she was acting. She kept asking me why my things weren’t at the house anymore. I wanted to tell her so bad about what I had seen, but I didn’t. I told her that I thought it would be best if we weren’t together these days and that I’d talk to her face to face soon. I let her know that I’d be at my parent’s house for the next couple of days, then I hung up the phone before she could get anything else out. She’d better hope that Terry would provide her with a vehicle and some cash because I was through with her. Once the paternity test was resolved, then I’d handle my responsibility from there, if need be.
