I slid off the bed onto his lap, pushing him back against the thick sheepskin rug on the floor. He kicked off his boots as I yanked at the button on his jeans, pulling them down fast, letting his rock hard cock spring free. It was breathtaking. I leaned over him, kissing his chest, taking his pierced nipple into my mouth, letting myself do all the things I'd wanted to do to him for so long. He kicked his jeans to one side and relaxed back into the rug, his eyes following my every move. He was so fucking beautiful. His cock twitched against my thigh and I took it in my hand, guiding it to my pussy, sliding onto it with a gasp as it filled me. I had to lean back to fit the whole length inside me. Liam let out a shuddering breath as our bodies connected fully and I began to rock my hips against him, letting my hands run over his smooth skin. He reached up, cupping my breasts, squeezing my nipples between his fingers as I rocked faster, taking him deeper and deeper. I couldn't think of anything but the pleasure flooding every part of my body, the delicious smell of his skin, hot and clean and smokey. There was no longer any embarrassment. Just pure need as I rode against him, my body trembling as the friction hit just the right spot.

I came hard, my hands gripping his shoulders, my fingernails biting into his beautiful tattooed skin as I rocked my hips, feeling the pulse of him throbbing inside me. He pulled me down, kissing me roughly as he jerked upwards, groaning into my hair as he came explosively. I stayed against his chest breathing fast, shaking all over. He wrapped his arms around me tightly and I looked up at his face, brushing the damp hair from my eyes. “You were right, you know,” I said softly.

“About what?” he asked, his grip tightening around my waist.

  “I do love you.”

His face broke into a beautiful smile. “I knew it.” He rolled me onto my back, still inside me and I groaned as his cock pressed into the swollen, tingling flesh. “I won't let you down, sweetheart. Not again.” He kissed me slowly, then pulled back, his breath sweet against my lips. “Say it again.”

  “I love you.”

“I love you too,” he whispered, his hips moving in slow circles, pinning me to the rug as his dick thickened inside me again.

“Oh fuck,” I moaned, already feeling myself building up to another orgasm.

“I hope you don't have any plans for today, because I'm going to spend the rest of it finding out how many times I can make you come for me,” he murmured into my ear. He thrust hard, making me groan into his neck and I wrapped my thighs around his waist, bringing him deeper.

“I'm not going anywhere,” I panted, grasping his hair and pulling him down to kiss me. “I'm all yours.”

  “Today?”

“Every day. And night. Always. For as long as you want me.”

His eyes burned brightly into mine, passion and protection and relief written on his face. He kissed me again as he circled his hips in slow, deep thrusts. My body clenched around his, needing him, holding him. “I'll never stop wanting you,” he said softly. He watched my face as he moved inside me, his eyes never leaving mine. And then I came. The orgasm ripped through me, my back arching off the floor, waves of pleasure rolling through every inch of my body, my fingers grasping his hair, anchoring him to me. He leaned down, pressing a kiss just below my ear, his breath hot and sweet against my skin. “Never,” he vowed again.

And I knew he meant it.

  Liam

“So when are you heading off on your travels again?” I said, lighting a cigarette without slowing down, my hand tightening around the short lead as Duke bounded along the pavement.

Kai matched my relaxed stride as we strolled through Chelsea. “We're not,” he answered.

I took a drag and shook my head. “This better not be on my behalf?”

“It's not. Olivia has a lot of work coming up in London, and I want to get back to the club.”

“There's something else,” I said, aware of the fact that he wasn't meeting my eyes.

Kai stopped walking, turning to face me. He bit his lip and gave a slow nod. “Yeah. You're right.”

“So, what is it?” I said, tugging Duke back as he tried to eat half a sausage roll that someone had dropped on the pavement beside a bin.

“Well,” he shrugged. “I guess I can tell you now. Olivia wanted to tell Mia first. She called her this morning.”

“Tell her what?” I asked, feeling increasingly frustrated.

He broke into a huge grin. “Olivia's pregnant.”

“Oh, shit,” I managed. “Wow... is... is it a good thing?”

“Fuck yes it's a good thing! It wasn't by accident. I'm going to be a dad, man. Can you fucking believe it?”

I shook my head, a slow smile spreading across my face. “Wow. You really went all in.”

“Is there any other way?” He put a reassuring hand on my shoulder, looking me dead in the eye. “I want this, Liam.”

I grabbed him roughly, hugging him for a second and pulling back. “Congratulations then,” I said, meaning it. “Just do a better job than our parents did and you'll be golden.”

“That's not much of a challenge,” he frowned. “And talking of our shitty parents, have you decided about the funeral?”

He didn't say “Mum's funeral,” I noticed. Just “the funeral.” I took another drag and started walking again. Kai fell into step beside me. “Yeah,” I nodded. “I'm not going. And it's not because I still feel angry at her. I don't. She did what she did and I can't change that. But she was a stranger to me long before she died. I don't feel the need to say goodbye to someone who walked out of my life decades ago. I've let her go, man. I'm moving on to better things.”

Kai grinned. “You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm not going either.”

  “What about Dad?”

“What about him?” Kai sneered. “I called him yesterday. He hasn't changed a bit. He wants nothing to do with us and quite frankly, I couldn't give a fuck.” He said the words without a trace of bitterness. “I've tried,” he continued. “We both have, far more than he deserves, out of a sense of duty, obligation, whatever. We've put ourselves out there over and over again just to have it thrown back in our faces. He's just not interested. And I'm calling time on that toxic shit.”

I knew he was right. It was guilt that kept us going back to him. We'd made it out of poverty, done fucking well for ourselves and all the while he was still stuck in the shitty house we'd grown up in, barely making ends meet. Even though he'd never given us so much as a word of encouragement, somehow it felt wrong not to share our wealth with him. He was family after all. But he didn't want it. Or us. And it was time to leave him firmly in the past. Kai was right.

We'd come to a stop outside Mia's block of flats. “So you're staying then?” I asked.

“I'm staying. I'm not about to miss seeing my little brother all loved up now, am I? Who would have thought you and me would be here?”

  “Not me.”

  “But you're happy?”

“Yeah,” I admitted. “I am. And I'm glad you're back. I missed you, Bro.”

“Same. Now get yourself inside to that beautiful woman.”

I grinned, looking up at Mia's window and Kai carried on down the road, heading towards Mulligans. Mia buzzed me in and I jogged up the stairs, pushing open her front door. The scene that greeted me was a beautiful chaos. Quickly, I lifted Duke into my arms before he could cause any damage. Paintings were propped up against every wall, every piece of furniture, stunning landscapes, close ups of faces, chubby toddlers running through meadows, old men smoking on dirty steps. There had to be thirty canvases crammed into the small flat, all in varying shapes and sizes, and every one of them was as breathtaking as the last. They each told a story. I could have looked at them for hours. Mia emerged from the bedroom, dressed in a pair of petrol blue dungarees and a white t-shirt, a red and white scarf tied like a hairband, trailing down her back. She looked flushed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Hey, you,” she smiled, coming to kiss me. She pulled bac
k, stroking her fingers through Duke's soft fur.

  “What's going on here?”

She took a deep breath, clapping her hands together and clasping them tightly beneath her chin. “I'm doing it,” she grinned. “Quitting interior design. I've been to a meeting with a local gallery and they want to work with me. I'm doing a collection for them next month!” She was bouncing on her toes, her excitement infectious.

“That's bloody incredible! But where did they all come from?”

“I had most of them in storage. I did them back when I lived at home. I guess the collection just grew and grew over the years and now I've got more than I know what to do with,” she laughed.

“They're amazing, Mia. I knew you had talent, but this is something else. You're full of surprises, aren't you?” I kissed her again and Duke wriggled in my arms, wanting to get down. I frowned. “Uh, not a good idea, dude...”

“You can put him down in the kitchen. I laid out some toys and a blanket in there, and there's a bone for him too.”

“Good thinking.” I deposited the pup in there and closed the door carefully, making sure he couldn't get out and destroy anything priceless. Mia had her back to me, leaning over a table as she measured a canvas, and I snuck up behind her, kissing her neck as I wrapped my arms around her waist. She giggled and dropped the tape measure, turning to face me. Her eyes met mine and I stared into them, suddenly serious. “Move in with me,” I said softly.

  “What?”

“I want you to move in with me. I could make excuses, tell you that it doesn't make any sense for you to have all your paintings crammed in here when I have a massive empty loft at the top of the house which would be the perfect studio for you. That there's more space at my place and it makes sense to share the bills. But the crux of it is this. I miss you when you're gone. I want to wake up to your face every single day and I want you to live with me. It's that simple.”

Her eyes were wide as she looked up at me. “You know, the Liam of six months ago would never have admitted something like that.”

“No, he wouldn't. But I am.” I ran my fingers through her hair, pulling the scarf loose and tossing it to the floor, sliding my fingers down to the buttons on her dungarees as I edged her backwards towards the bedroom. Taking her mouth with hot, deep kisses I freed the straps, a pile of petrol blue cotton falling to the ground. “So,” I murmured, pulling back to look at her as we reached the bedroom door. “What's your answer?”

She looped her hands around my neck, a soft smile on her full lips. “My answer is yes, Liam. Absolutely yes. I want to move in with you.”

I felt a lightness in my belly, as if some weight I'd been holding on to had finally been left behind, and I knew with every part of me that I wouldn't regret making this choice. Mia was my future. I kissed her again, walking her backwards until she toppled onto the bed.

“I can see you're going to be quite a distraction, aren't you?” she giggled.

“Oh, Sweetheart,” I grinned, slipping my hand into her underwear. “You can guarantee it.”
