Good Vibration

‘Sorry to keep you waiting,’ he said cheerfully, lighting up the place with his smile.

Sylvie quickly looked at the others and noticed they were staring at him in awe.

She frowned and folded her arms defiantly.

‘Now we know Christmas is coming soon and the party season begins,’ Finlay said, looking at all of them. ‘But we need to set some guidelines that we use for the rest of the group.’

‘What you mean? You stop us from having fun?’ piped up Samina. ‘And why you choose a bad place for the Christmas party. I not like it there.’

‘It’s brilliant!’ said Marianne. ‘‘The Brasserie’ is a good place! We can have a laugh! You don’t like it because you did nay organise it.’

‘Bugger to get home to Osterley,’ Samina continued, flicking her scarf so it would land on Matthew’s face. Sylvie grinned seeing Samina’s seduction technique as Matthew slapped the material out of his way. ‘I have get 237 all the way home with drunks.’

‘I’ll make sure everyone is put into a cab and taken home so don’t worry about that,’ Finlay said sweetly and Sylvie wondered why he was being nice. ‘I hate to remind anyone about the following but I’m sure Piers and Sylvie have probably explained. Part of your employment terms and conditions is that it is strictly forbidden for an employee to have relationships with a third party company that we use for business.’

Sylvie’s mouth dropped open when she realised what he was doing.

‘What you mean relationship?’ asked Samina. ‘We not be friends with people?’

‘Friends but nothing that might jeopardise the business,’ he smiled, before flicking a glance in Sylvie’s direction. ‘Which also leads me on to personal relationships at work. If any of you guys get together, then we need to know so we are aware of any compromising situations it might put you and the company in.’

‘I don’t mind compromising positions but not with this lot!’ laughed Gillian as Elizbieta sniggered. ‘Why are you telling us this now? No one from this place is going out with each other …’ Sylvie noticed Gillian flash her a mischievous glance. ‘And certainly, to the best of my knowledge, no one is dating a supplier. Is anyone dating one of the suppliers?’

‘We’re adults, we can do what we like,’ mumbled Sylvie as Toby moved closer.

‘Does that mean you’ll go out with me?’ Toby teased.

‘I certainly will not.’ She stepped forward. ‘But Finlay, you have no right to tell the employees what they can or cannot do in their own personal time,’ Sylvie said loudly. ‘I would never agree to such a stipulation.’

‘But Sylvie, we need to act professionally at all times and given this company is so small, if a relationship was to occur and there was a falling out, it would have massive repercussions for the rest of the team,’ he said with a smile as she frowned. ‘Will that be a problem for you, I mean, are you seeing anyone from an associated business?’

‘No, as you bloody well know!’ she snapped back. ‘Are you saying we can’t socialise with the suppliers and god knows who?’

‘Socialise, as long as that’s all you do. I mean, we don’t want to find out that we keep our eyes off the ball and get shafted, literally, when it comes to pricing because we’re not thinking straight,’ Finlay said seriously. ‘That’s not a good move.’

‘I disagree! It my right to go with anyone I like!’ said Samina loudly and marched up to him. ‘If I fall in love with man here and he love me, you want me to leave job? Is that what you say?’

‘I’m saying we need to act with a little bit of decorum.’

‘You fiddling with Della like monkey on heat, we see you. Will you stop?’ she barked as Sylvie tried not to laugh, then noticed Della’s hurt expression as Finlay went bright red. ‘You an apocalypse!’

‘I think she means ‘hypocrite’,’ added Marianne.

‘I know what I say. Just because you are my boss not mean you correct me,’ she replied angrily as Sylvie stepped forward seeing the whole thing could get out of hand.

‘The restructure is not down to him,’ Sylvie said gently. ‘No one person is more important than the other, it’s just a better system. If it doesn’t work we scrap it. Look we’ve got a year to make this a success.’

‘I feel volatile,’ Samina replied, shaking her head.

‘Violated?’ Sylvie asked then glanced at Finlay grinning. ‘Yep, I’m beginning to feel the same way too.’

Finlay followed Sylvie down the road after she left the building.

‘Slow down!’ he shouted as he knew she had the arse. ‘We need guidelines.’

‘That’s a lie!’ she said turning on her heels. ‘You don’t like the man after a sixty second conversation and because you don’t trust me, you think I’d compromise our position when it comes to buying his products. That’s the truth!’

‘Possibly,’ he lied. ‘I don’t want to see anyone take advantage of you and put you in a compromising position.’

‘Because you did that already,’ she said as he shook his head, knowing he was still recovering from the massive jolt of jealousy he experienced when he noticed Andy Simmonds hugging and kissing Sylvie.

‘I don’t want to see you get hurt.’

‘You did that too!’ she snapped back as he glared at her for a moment. ‘I would never be that stupid and let some prick double cross us.’

‘I know his type. I know what they’re like. I meet them all the time, the nice divorced guys who are only out for one thing. Trust me on this!’

‘Why? You don’t trust me,’ Sylvie replied and carried on walking down the road. ‘He was the first man I liked since my husband died and I still like him. You’ve now made it impossible for me to even contemplate anything else, especially as the rest of them know the score. And Della? She looked devastated.’

‘Can we go to the room for a chat?’ he asked as she flashed him an evil look. ‘Come on Sly.’

‘Sly?’ she stopped and looked at him. ‘You’re the bloody sly one!’

Finlay stared at her for a moment and wanted to kiss her. He put it down to the fact his libido was flying sky high for him fancying her but the jealousy thing caught him by surprise. He knew that man was after more but she couldn’t see it.

‘Half an hour chat about personal things then you can go out and do what you do on a Thursday. What is it you do?’ he said gently.

‘Work from home and wait for the Sainsbury’s delivery to turn up before picking my child up from school.’

  ‘Yeah, that.’

Sylvie kicked her shoes off and lay on the bed as he looked at her up and down. Slowly he lay next to her and closed his eyes.

‘Why are you trying to spoil it for me?’ she groaned.

‘Want to get under the covers?’

  ‘Not with you.’

‘That man just wants you for sex and so you’ll keep on buying the products. Did you see the way his eyes lit up when he realised you were part owner?’

‘Yeah it was great!’ she said as he turned to see her grin. ‘It felt good!’

  He couldn’t help himself.

He lunged at Sylvie, seeing her startled expression, as she pushed him off before his lips could get to hers.

‘What are you up to now!’ she said loudly, sitting up. ‘Just because you’re on heat doesn’t mean I’m something to munch on!’

Finlay laughed as she shook her head from side to side.

‘Can I kiss you?’ he asked seeing her frown. ‘I just want to kiss you.’

  ‘Why?’

  ‘I just want to.’

‘You just gave us all a lecture about fraternising with each other and you want to kiss me?’

‘You’re not an employee you’re a shareholder so I can kiss you.’

‘Who says I want to kiss you?’

‘To be honest, this extracurricular thing I’ve been doing, it’s great for the ego but not satisfying for the soul. Sylvie?’ he said moving closer, really wanting her more than he could ever recall.
‘One little kiss is all I ask because you do it so well.’

‘Are you germ free? And haven’t you been doing enough of that over the past few weeks. You’re like a dog on-.’

He didn’t wait a moment as he pushed his lips towards hers and felt them press against his. Her mouth started to open so he pushed his tongue to touch hers and felt electric shocks of desire snapping at him, which he hadn’t done with anyone else he’d been screwing about with.

Not even his wife that he could remember.

Pushing her back onto the bed, he was lost in the kiss as his arms wrapped her up so she couldn’t escape and Sylvie was kissing him back.

Even he knew she was enjoying it too, as he felt her hands stroke his back through his shirt. Finlay didn’t want to pull away just in case she’d escape, so he covered her face with kisses before heading straight back in. He was starting to get hot and had a massive hard on.

‘We have to stop,’ she said trying to push him off as he ground his groin into hers. ‘I’m not having sex with you as you’ve probably picked something up.’

‘Let’s just fondle then but I’m extremely germ free and very safe,’ he gasped as her hands went straight up the back of his top and she was stroking his skin, turning him on.

‘We’re not supposed to be doing this,’ he heard her groan. ‘Oh god Finlay, you’re not good for me.’

‘Fuck that!’ he said lunging at her again, trying his hardest to get a feel under her top.

‘Finlay!’ she said trying to push his hand away. ‘This is wrong! This is exactly what we said we wouldn’t do.’

  Thirty three

She knew he wasn’t listening as his hands just went straight up and Sylvie was at a loss. The lust she felt for him was overwhelming. She knew they had gone wrong before and didn’t want a repeat performance.

Then she wondered why she was putting up a fight.

  Sylvie wanted him.

‘Fuck it!’ she said and pulled off his top then pulled off hers, laying back on the bed with her bra on as Finlay rolled her over so she was on top. He undid her bra pulling it off and wriggling down so he could bury his face in between her breasts before holding each one and putting them into his mouth.

The intensity of the sensation of his lips on her skin was overwhelming as she let out groans of lust.

Then he rolled her onto her back, his mouth kissing over her top half as his hand squeezed her arse. His lips came up again and they were kissing so deeply and his hands were squeezing and stroking her.

‘You’re so soft,’ he said in between mouthfuls of kissing.

‘We have to have some control,’ Sylvie said, knowing she hadn’t and hoped he’d pull back.

  He was doing the opposite.

Then without any warning, he pushed his hand down the front of her trousers and into her knickers, all the while as his mouth covered hers. She opened her eyes to push him off but he gently grabbed her wrist and before she knew it, he was rubbing her off slowly. Sylvie was at a loss on what to do, as he’d never touched her between her legs with his fingers.

‘Oh my god,’ he gasped. ‘You’ve got no hair down there.’

‘You have to stop,’ she moaned as he carried on then let go of her arm as he pulled down her trousers and Sylvie knew her legs were obstructed as they were stopped half way down her calves, so her thighs were spread and her knees bent.

  He wasn’t listening.

Finlay sucked on her breast as he rubbed her clitoris slowly then faster as she felt her face get hot. Sylvie pushed her fingers through his hair, never expecting she’d ever have an orgasm with him and felt the burn in her fanny, the build-up of anxiousness before she came, letting out a low groan as her body shuddered. Finlay started to kiss her harder and she went for his jeans, opening them up quickly.

‘Have you got anything?’ she panted, noticing his face was focussed on her.

He quickly scrambled into his back pocket and pulled out a condom. Sylvie wanted to smile but instead pulled his dick out, gently moving up and down with her hand as he buried his head in her neck. She released him as he put on the condom.

She lunged for his mouth and then grabbed his cock towards her throbbing hole and had another massive orgasm as he pushed inside her.

They were both fucking on the bed.

He held her arms about her head and ground himself in, all the time kissing her mouth and face. She couldn’t wrap her legs around his back because of her trousers so she pulled her knees up, to release her, then at last she was free to bend her knees higher and feel him ram himself in again and again.

It was all a bit too hot as Finlay looked at her, closed his eyes and came with a deep throaty groan as she was shaking and throbbing at the same time. When he managed to get his breath back they looked at each other and laughed out of pure shock.

Finlay texted her the next morning saying he wanted to talk. Sylvie decided it would have to be open so they agreed on somewhere down the High Road.

Since the previous day, she’d not stopped thinking about what happened and how it exceeded their first twenty second dabble to a full on passionate screw. Even he was having problems walking afterwards as so was she, due to wobbly legs. But she knew this was Finlay saying it was something stupid and to knock it on the head.

As she walked into the café, he was smiling at her with two cups on the table and something made her feel like bubbles were popping inside.

‘I ordered a café latte and put three sweeteners in,’ he smiled and she couldn’t figure out what he was thinking. ‘How are you?’

Sylvie took off her jacket, sat down and noticed he was stirring his coffee.

‘I’m well. How are you?’ she replied, before taking a sip from the cup and holding it in her hands trying to hide how nervous she felt. ‘Did you have a nice evening?’

‘I did,’ he said brightly, leaning forward as he rested on his arms, pushing his cup closer to hers. ‘I wasn’t much company over dinner round my mother’s as I kept thinking about the amazing sex I had with this old bird that works in the office.’

  ‘Nice,’ she grinned before laughing.

‘More than nice,’ he grinned back. ‘Lasted more than twenty seconds this time, didn’t I?’

‘You didn’t run out of the bedroom at full speed and I didn’t cry afterwards, so that’s good.’

‘You cried?’ Finlay said and she realised she hadn’t told him. ‘Now I feel bad.’

‘You felt bad because you wanted to sleep with a chocolate covered pensioner thinking it would be different and it wasn’t.’

‘It was different yesterday. It wasn’t what I expected,’ he said and she heard his lustful sigh. ‘God Sylvie, you were on fire. I thought my cock would combust inside you.’

‘Finlay!’ she hissed turning around to see if anyone was listening. ‘Keep your voice down!’

‘I couldn’t keep it down if I tried and right now is no different. I want to kiss you everywhere, do you know that? You’re so smooth, I was shocked when I realised you’re hairless.’

‘I got it all removed years ago not to titillate some fantasy but I preferred not to have any pubic hair just in case they got grey,’ she said seeing his eyes light up.

‘You have no idea what I want to do to you,’ Finlay smiled for a moment and she realised he looked genuinely happy. ‘We might be what each other needs.’

‘You said that last time,’ she quietly replied. ‘It’s a little bit more complicated as you now know I’m part owner and I know your wife is expecting a baby.’

He sat back in his chair and stared at her for a while. Sylvie didn’t know what he was up to but something stirred so deeply in her she had to glance away, recognising the feelings of old and confused she was experiencing it with the last person in the world she would ever have expected to do so.

  Finlay Chambers.

‘Oh god!’ she groaned taking a deep breath. ‘What have we done?’

The man was just smiling. Then he laug
hed for a moment and shook his head before taking a sip of his coffee. Finlay then let out a sigh before closing his eyes for a few moments then opened them up with a grin.

‘Am I the youngest man you’ve ever slept with?’ he asked sitting forward. ‘You look very pretty today by the way.’

‘Thank you and yes, you are.’

‘Was your husband much older than you or the same age?’

‘He was seven years younger,’ she replied, seeing his smile fade. ‘He just turned 39 before he died so never got to being 40.’

‘You amaze me, do you know that?’ he sighed. ‘And so you know, I’ve slept with a woman twenty six years my senior so I have something to compare against as she was 52 years old but you’re nothing like that.’

‘You really are an arrogant prick, aren’t you sometimes?’ she laughed as he joined in.

‘You’re wrong about what you said about me, that I wasn’t good for you. I think we’re really good for each other, right now in our lives. I’m actually certain about it.’

‘We can’t let this happen again.’ Sylvie knew she was lying so looked away and stared at a young kid toddling around. ‘It’s just compromising everything.’

‘Sylvie,’ he said quietly, leaning forward. ‘You’re the first woman I’ve liked in a long time, oddly enough. I still can’t get my head around it but I do like you plus I think you’re amazingly sexy. If you tell me you don’t find me attractive and never want to sleep with me again, then I’ll accept it.’

For a moment she realised he was putting all on her, to make a decision. She let out a small huff before drinking her coffee, mulling over whether she would be prepared to have a fling with the most unsuitable candidate ever. Then she wondered if she could face him sleeping with other women.

‘Are you going to be screwing around like you have done in the past weeks?’ she asked as he flashed a bright smile.

‘I’d be too knackered from screwing you, how could I?’ he whispered and she knew a flood of blood had rushed to her face as he stroked her cheek and smiled. ‘Even with your beautiful dark skin tone I know you’ve just gone red.’

‘What is it with you posh boys?’ she grumbled. ‘Do they teach you how to speak to women in that way?’
