  “Yah!” Piper yelled, joining in. She whacked the Gorgon’s hand off. Then Prue went to work, smashing at the statue’s feet. The sisters laughed as they destroyed the creature who’d almost done them in.

  In a few minutes they were breathing heavily, and the Gorgon had been reduced to a pile of rubble at their feet.

  “I’ll get some garbage bags,” Phoebe volunteered.

  “I’ll get the broom,” Piper said, skipping across the kitchen.

  “And I’ll just make a general declaration to anyone who might be listening,” Prue said. She pointed at the floor. “And this means you! Don’t mess with the Charmed Ones!”
