Dead Again

by Lisa Andel

Rafe's energy surrounded me as I gave him the look. Heat broke out over various parts of my body, the moisture flowing freely from my vagina. I had to close my eyes for a minute before I met his gaze.

When I did, lust seared through me almost painfully.

  Then I approached Ash.

Ash, my guardian; Ash, my friend; Ash, my lover.

Ash, the man who had set me up with three other lovers, who had arranged to have me killed, several times.

I stood before him, letting my eyes drink in his beautiful big body.

He sat incredibly still while I studied him. Statue still. When I met his eyes, I raised my eyebrow, but didn't turn away.

The silence in the room became a tangible thing. It grew in density as I stood there staring at the god, willing him to say the right things.

He stared back with his blue-gray eyes, a flash of silver sparking in their depths.

"I love you more than life itself. I did what I thought was necessary so that I could make you mine without killing you."

"I'm going to say goodbye to these men, in my own way, in my own time.” I moved closer to Ash. “We can talk when I am done.” I started away from him, but turned back. “That is, if you still want to by then."

Still facing away from the men I continued.

"I'll start with Tyr, then Trend, and lastly Rafe.” Glancing over my shoulder I looked at the three men. “Is there any objection?"

Tyr was grinning like an idiot, Trend was looking at me like I was mental, while Rafe simply looked confused.

I turned away again and started for my bedroom. “Tyr, if you'll wait a few minutes, I'll just get cleaned up and we can leave."

I'd actually made it to the shower door before Ash came banging into the room.

"Lisa.” He turned me around with a hand on my shoulder. “Will you be coming back to me?"

"Will you be here if I do?"

He wrapped me in his arms, dragging my feet off the floor as he devoured my mouth.

For the first time in my life, when Ash set me back on my feet, I could see desperation in his eyes.

"I'll be coming back to you.” It came out as a whisper, as I stepped into the shower and turned the water on.

  Epilogue

  Six months later

  I was finally home.

Oh, I'd had some very good times with the three men. I'd spent two weeks with Tyr, when I'd only planned on a night, go figure. When he wasn't being dragony, he was really a lot of fun to be with.

Trend, I devoted the next two and a half months to. Most of it in bed. I still don't know what he does for a living, but I know that I'll miss the sex with him the most.

Rafe I spent three months with. We developed a closeness that rivaled the one I had with Ash. I could easily have spent the rest of my life with him.

Even in the end, when it came time for me to move on, the parting was much nicer then it had been before. With all three of them. We were all good friends now, and it no longer seemed to matter that Ash would be my only lover.

I'd just set my bags down on the floor of the bedroom when I felt Ash hovering in my mind.

  "I can feel you, Ash."

  "Is it time?"

  "Give me an hour."

I spent the time showering and dressing, suddenly nervous about seeing Ash after all this time. Nervous, but excited. I was coming home.

With so much energy racing through me that I couldn't sit still, I started fixing dinner, even though it was only three o'clock in the afternoon.

I felt him when he arrived, the scent of him filling my head, his energy washing over me like a spring breeze.

My breathing increased as I turned around to greet him, then whooshed out of me at the first sight.

I'd never seen him look beautiful, but he did now. His dark, wavy hair fell in a graceful arc around his face, unruly enough to add to the look of danger that always accompanied him. His blue-gray eyes shone brightly with a ring of silver, and a heat so intense I could feel it.

He was wearing a black T-shirt that hugged the muscles of his chest and arms, tucked in at his waist to showcase his narrow hips. Soft black leather pants hugged his lower body like a glove, showing me exactly how much the big man had missed me.

Dragging my eyes off his groin, I closed the distance between us in a rush of steps, throwing myself the last foot into his arms.

With my legs wrapped around his waist, I grabbed handfuls of his hair and attacked his mouth. His arms cinched around me like a vise as he took control of the kiss, and ate at me like a starving man.

He worked his hands under the hem of my dress, groaning when he grasped my ass and found me without panties.

"Shit.” His eyes were wild while he looked desperately around the room, then slung me onto the back of the sofa. “I can't wait."

He tore at his pants, until he'd freed his cock, then moved quickly between my legs. I watched his shaft as he positioned it at the opening of my sex, and drove it inward. My head snapped backwards when he rammed into my womb, a groan wrenched out of me, my eyes meeting his. He smiled—a mixture of pure sex and dark sin.

His lids drooped as he started moving inside of me. He pulled me off the couch, buried his cock to the balls, then carried me into the bedroom.

He dropped onto his back on the bed, toed off his shoes, and slid my dress over my head before he rolled me under his body. He peeled his shirt off, and braced himself on his elbows.

He gave me a few shallow thrusts, then stopped.

  "Are you home for good?"

There was so much in that question that he didn't ask.

"Yes,” I answered to all his questions.

"Yes,” He repeated, the silver flaring brighter in his eyes.

He started driving into me then, deep, strong thrusts that steadily increased in speed.

My first orgasm blasted over me, and I knew I'd never felt anything like it before. Not in all these months, with any of these men.

"Ash.” It came out somewhere between a scream and a groan.

He hunkered closer to me, one hand sliding down my side then beneath me to cup my butt.

"I was lost without you,” he rasped. “I never knew love could be so strong, so deep."

"When I felt you behind me in the kitchen, it was like coming home."

Then words failed me as he drove us higher, hotter, wilder. Our bodies slapped together, sweat sprayed, and still the heat built.

The muscles of his back bunched and stretched under my hands as he powered his cock in and out of my sheath. Just the feel of those powerful muscles drove me insane.

My body was coiling towards another orgasm. Erratic spasms shot through me as I drew closer and closer to the ultimate goal.

Ash trapped me with a gaze that held so much heat, so much hunger, so much love, I flew over the top and blew violently apart. My vagina wrenched down on his cock so hard he grunted, then cried out as his body jerked and his seed erupted into me.

He dropped on top of me, but angled his upper body to keep from smothering me. The rest of his body was a comforting weight.

  "Will you marry me?"

I was barely in my head, having flown so high on my last orgasm, but it sounded like he'd just proposed to me.

  "What?"

He levered himself up on his forearms, hair falling over his right eye.

"I just asked you to marry me. You know, be mine and only mine forever."

It never even entered my head to wonder what went along with marrying a god. It was Ash that had asked, and Ash I answered.

"As long as you're mine, and only mine in return."

  "Forever."

  I nodded.

His lips met mine, and a single thought drifted through my mind before I could think of nothing else at all but Ash.

I'm so happy I could die.
