I pick up the marriage license off the side table and toss it on the bed next to her.
“Do you want breakfast Mrs. Mancini or should we each call our attorneys first?”
No sense in pretending this situation is anything other than what it is—a mistake.
Her plump pink lips that have always turned me on dip, and she twists the sheet in her fingers.
Yeah, figured as much. Attorneys it is.
“I’ll let you get dressed,” I say, walking around the bed, picking up my pants and shirt from last night. Anything goes in Vegas, no one will give me a second look.
“Dom,” she sighs but I put my hand up in the air, hurrying to get the hell out of here before I ask more questions like why, drunk or not, she’d agree to marry me.
“No worries. Not sure how we got ourselves into this predicament, but I’ll handle it.” I slide the ring off my finger and put it on the nightstand. Then I walk out the door and this time I do let it slam shut behind me.
Valentina isn’t meant to be mine. She’s always belonged to someone else. This time I’m determined to remember that.

What did you think of the billboard with a half-naked Carm asking if it’s your first time? Credit to that goes to Piper’s husband. He’s a Realtor and many years ago he used that same ad copy for one of his own ads (minus the bare chest). :P
This was a book that took a while to write but we couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. We fell in love with Carm in book one but neither one of us realized how much he’d steal our hearts until he hit the page. After so many books you try to tweak characters to make sure they have their own identity. Carm definitely has his, doesn’t he?
We knew Bella and Carm would be opposites, so it was an easy decision to have her move in across the hall. Plus adding Enzo and Annie helped a TON. We loved how much they snuck on the page since there’s so many secrets when it comes to Dom (oh just you wait, he’ll steal your heart, too). We wanted Carm and Bella to be forced together more than just at the office and since Rayne loves almost all Bravo shows you can probably guess which series was on while she was writing the book. Summer Rental. She’s a drama llama addict. What better way to get them together than to get them out of NY for a few weekends?
And as we mentioned, as funny as this book was, Dom’s is going to tug at those heartstrings. Since we don’t want to give anything away, we’re going to leave you hanging, but you don’t want to miss Wild Steamy Hook-up!
