Sweetness

Page 7

by Jude Ouvrard

  “Me, only me.”

With that being said, I turned around, and we locked gazes. No words were necessary. Every one of my senses, which I’d kept under control during dinner, now screamed to be freed. He lifted my chin with his finger in time for our lips to meet and I knew this would be my undoing.

His tongue pressed against my lips, begging to be let inside but I was too busy concentrating on unbuttoning his shirt. I missed the sight of his ink and craved his warm skin far too much. Calvin pushed his groin against me, pressing me back against the counter. As soon as I released the last button on his shirt, my hands swept across his chest, his back, everywhere I was able to reach.

“Iris, come with me.” Calvin ordered as he removed his shirt and threw it on the back of the chair.

He strode quickly from the kitchen, and I almost could not keep up with him in my heels. Midway through the living room, he stopped and drew me to him. His breathing quickened, and the desire in his eyes was palpable. After unzipping the back of my dress, it fell down my body, leaving me practically naked in baby blue lacy lingerie and heels. A rush of heat filled my cheeks as he stared at me unashamed.

“I’m the luckiest bastard in the world.” He declared. “I hope you’re ready for this, sweetness.” He flipped me over his shoulders, and spanked my behind again. I was starting to believe this had to be something he enjoyed. My heels fell on the floor, somewhere along the way.

Everything I saw was upside down, but damn, what a view. His room was found in the corner of the apartment, and two of the walls were full length windows. He put me down on the comforter, grabbed a remote to let down one side of the curtains, leaving only the view of Central park. Not wasting any time, he joined me on the bed.

He turned on some music and the first lyrics of the song were about a one-night stand. I crooked an eyebrow at him and he laughed. “Bad timing, sweetheart.” He removed his pants. As far as I was concerned, he shouldn’t be allowed to wear anything but his boxers during the holidays. The sight of his toned abs, sculptured legs and every one of his defined muscles had me nearly combusting.

I let a sigh escape my mouth while my eyes remained glued on his body.

  “Impatient, are we?” he smirked.

“I really want you here, on top of me, Calvin. It’s getting cold in here,” I pouted.

  “Let me warm you up.”

He didn’t hesitate a second longer, he joined me, pressing his body against mine. I loved the weight of him on me. We continued from where we’d left off. Our tongues met and danced together. The rhythm increased as the need grew within us. His erection pushed against the fabric of his boxers. I wanted things to move faster, I had waited for this all day long. Savouring the moment was harder than I thought it would be, as I was desperately hungry for him. I reached under his boxers, his firm behind filling my hands.

A soft moan escaped from his lips as he removed my bra and embraced my breast. He rubbed his fingers across my sensitive nipples. I wasn’t sure how much more I could endure without Calvin making love to me.

“I can't wait any longer, Calvin,” I whispered.

“I can't either, but I'm trying to slow things down, here. If I don’t slow things down, I won't be able to play nice.”

I ignored his warnings and pushed down his boxers, before removing my own underwear.

“Skin on skin, Cal,” I breathed.

The previous times we had been together hadn’t been as good as this. My breasts pressing against his chest made my nipples hyper-sensitive and the sensation of his erection pushing against my core was amazing. A bed wasn't so bad after all, it only gave us the opportunity to feel more, and be even closer to one another.

“Please,” I murmured against his neck.

His body hovered above me, he looked down at me and I swear he could see into my soul. I was giving him my body; I was his to take. “You're gorgeous, so fucking gorgeous,” he said huskily.

I loved hearing him say that, he made me feel so good about myself.

He parted my legs with his knees, and lowered his body down over me. I didn't know why, but it seemed as if we were both nervous. His body was tensed, his facial expression serious. I let my fingers dance over each side of his ribs to help him relax. Lowering his weight onto me, I wrapped my legs around his waist, and he pushed inside of my body. I groaned at the sensation of fullness, it didn't hurt, but I allowed myself to feel every single inch of him. Unlike before, we were in a private place, with nobody around to catch us. We only had us to worry about, and right now, I only wanted him.

Slowly, he pulled back, only to push back inside. His body trembled over mine as he kept thrusting into me, holding onto one of my legs. His rhythm accelerated and I met him with every thrust. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as our lovemaking grew more passionate. The pleasure I experienced continued to grow higher with each thrust. I held on with all my strength to the headboard in hope of subduing some of the overwhelming feelings Calvin was working hard on giving me. My body screamed, begged for release but, Calvin stopped moving.

“I don't want to come now, babe, not like this.” He sighed and wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. “Turn around,” he ordered and I knew what was coming. As soon as I turned around, he adjusted my hips to his height and slammed into me, deep and hard. “Hold on tight, sweetheart.”

I kept my hands on the headboard while he gave me his all. His hands came from behind and caressed my breasts with so much softness. Calvin slowed down the rhythm and transformed his rough and needy thrusts into a sensual and passionate lovemaking. He pulled me closer, and my back arched. His reach into me was deep and incredibly sensitive. Each time he thrust deep inside, it created a ticklish sensation in my lower tummy. My breathing was ragged and so was his.

“I’m almost there, Calvin,” I breathed. Calvin flipped me back over and laid my back on the bed, before he entered me again, his movements smooth and sure. “I want to watch you, sweetheart.”

He kept giving me everything, until I desperately needed to come undone. With all the power within me, I pulled and pushed against the sheets, tossing my head back and forth. My legs shook under an intense wave of pleasure. A pleased smile appeared on Calvin's face as a loud moan escaped my lips. “God... Calvin!”

It was all I managed to say as the climax spread through my body like lightning. It seemed as if thousands of tiny butterflies were fluttering through my body, and the feeling was amazing.

His movements grew faster and rougher, he groaned, rubbing his face against the cleavage of my breasts. I couldn't move or think, I had never felt anything like this. So powerful. So real. Each time with him was better and more amazing. His climax exploded through him and he dropped his full weight on me, and I had a hard time breathing as I caught my own breath. He pressed little kisses across my breasts, leaving a damp trail from one side to the other. It made me giggle. He pulled away from me and rolled onto his side. I kept my eyes closed, sated and completely overwhelmed. I was falling hard for this man.

  Chapter SEVEN

FINGERS PLAYED IN MY HAIR, and kisses were laid across my cheek. I smiled and opened my eyes.

“Welcome back, sleepyhead,” Calvin said in a playful voice.

“You nearly killed me,” I exclaimed.

  “I did.” He laughed.

“What time is it?” I asked

  “It’s midnight.”

I sat up on the bed, mortified. “Oh, Calvin, I’m so sorry! I ruined our date. Why did you let me sleep?”

“Because you were beautiful and because you needed the sleep. I watched you for a while. I even put the dishes in the dishwasher when I figured you weren’t waking up anytime soon,” he teased.

“I’m sorry. I feel bad now.”

He moved closer to kiss my temple. “Look outside, it’s snowing.”

The dark sky of New York City had sparkles of white cotton balls fluttering down from the heavens. I had barely ever seen snow falling bef
ore, mostly in movies. In all my naked glory, I hurried across to the window, and watched it fall on the already snow-covered ground.

“People can see you, you know,” Calvin remarked.

I rapidly covered my breasts with my arms in embarrassment. I jumped back into the bed, ashamed of what I had done.

Calvin laughed loudly, so loud that it resonated through the whole apartment. “I love when you blush like that and, by the way, they can’t see you. I just wanted to tease you.” I punched him hard on the shoulder and judging by the face he made, I managed to hurt him, a little.

  We cuddled, embracing the moment.

“Am I working tomorrow?” I asked. I hadn’t thought to find out before I left work this afternoon, what my actual hours would be.

“The gym is open from 8am to noon tomorrow. I don’t think it’ll be busy; you can come in if you want, or you can stay here. I’ll have to stop by the gym in the morning and then go to the office until maybe one or two. Why?”

“Curious. I’d like to go. I’ll leave at noon and go to my room to pick up a few things.”

  “Sounds like a good plan.”

We talked while he prepared a snack for us to eat in front of the fireplace. The view in the living room added to our night, we watched the lights twinkling on the Christmas tree.

“Open your mouth.” He held a green grape to my mouth.

I opened my mouth and he placed the grape at the entrance of my mouth. I closed my lips on his fingers while we locked gaze for a short moment. “Delicious.”

  “Do you want more?”

“Absolutely.” He offered me a second, third and fourth one. “You’re a gentleman and I like you feeding me.

“I’m just me, babe. You’ll soon find out that I’m a simple guy.”

“I want to get to know you more and get to know the simple guy.”

“I can say the same thing about you. I know I don’t have a good enough reason for approaching you the way I did but I had a feeling you were a nice person and so far, you didn’t prove me wrong.”

I had dressed in one of his football team t-shirts. I’d never asked him about his football career, but I thought he was too young to already be retired. “What happened with you and football?”

“It started with too much good luck, followed by a series of bad luck and injuries. I was the shining new quarterback, fresh out of the University of Columbia. I was offered a lot of money by many NFL teams around the United States, but I decided I wanted to stay in New York. I played four years professionally. The first three years were the best of my career. Everything was perfect. My stats kept me at the top of the league. Our team won many games during those three seasons. Unfortunately, in the fourth year, I hurt my knee pretty badly during training. I had surgery on it, but it never came back to full use and to make matters worse, I got slammed by this monster, got a concussion, and a broken ankle. My ankle was a mangled mess, it’s held together with pins and screws. After that, no matter how much I tried getting back into the game, I couldn’t quite function the way I used to. So I gave up on that dream, and built a new one and I’m very pleased with it. Things are going great and I’m happy.”

“Football is terrifying, but I’m sorry you had to give up your dream,” I said.

Calvin looked down at me, his eyes filled with interest. “What’s your dream?”

The question stumped me. I had no idea. It took me a few seconds before I could formulate an answer. “Before I moved here, I thought I was going to get my degree, move back to be close to my parents and help them on the ranch. My sister was the one with the big dreams, but here I am, living the life in New York City. I miss my sister a lot, and I feel bad about the way I left my family in a bind, but I had to do this for me. I want to get my degree, but after that, I have no plans. I’m not sure if I’m going to stay here or move back home.” I knew that what I had just admitted to could jeopardize my budding relationship with Calvin.

“I would like if you stayed in New York.”

I smiled at his kind words. Then, the sudden depth of my emotions choked me up. “We’ve only just met, Calvin. You still have time to change your mind.”

“No, Iris. What we have here, how we both feel when we are together, it’s not a fleeing moment or a fling. I know it’s early, but I’ve never felt like this with anyone, ever.”

Tears started running down my cheeks and I had no clue why. I liked Calvin, a lot, and to hear him say that he was opening his heart to me was amazing.

“I feel it too,” I admitted. “But it scares the hell out of me at the same time. Everything is happening so quickly.”

Then, for the first time in a while, I suddenly thought about Zach. He had proposed that we get together for breakfast on Christmas Eve, but I knew he wouldn’t call. It made me sad. I had broken his heart and I still felt guilty. I pushed my thoughts about Zach aside. I had to concentrate on the good things that were happening. Calvin. He made me feel happy and beautiful and I had already made my choice... I was going to try to make things work with Calvin. The incredible feeling of being desired when I was around him, had me hooked.

Rays of sunlight warmed up the living room and woke me up at around seven in the morning. We had fallen asleep, entwined on Calvin’s black leather couch. Cautiously, I stretched my legs in an attempt to wake my body up, but I hurt. Oh lord, did I hurt. My body was not used to that kind of strenuous exercise. Memories of last night started playing through my mind. Everything had been perfect. Calvin was my version of perfection.

Calvin’s arms were wrapped around my upper body, keeping me from getting off the couch. I watched him sleep for a few minutes, trying to imagine what a future for us would be like. His squared jaw, beautiful blonde hair and those gorgeous green eyes – I don’t think I could ever get tired of looking at him. I couldn’t wait for him to wake up. I was dying to know more about him and develop this relationship into something solid and real.

“Good morning.” The sound of his raspy voice surprised me.

  “Good morning, sexy,” I flushed.

“What time is it?” he asked, rubbing his eyes.

“A little after seven.” I yawned. “I have to go to my apartment before work unless you want me to wear the same dress I had on last night.”

“Probably not a good idea,” he warned. “Hold on, I have something for you.”

He got up, looking like a Greek god in his boxer brief and tousled hair. Returning with a duffle bag, he handed it to me.

“Welcome to Banks Gym and Fitness.” I looked inside and found a variety of different tops and bottoms emblazoned with the gym logo. “You’ve got tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies, yoga pants, and leggings. Everything you'll need.”

I grinned. “Smart man. Guess I'm all set for work then.”

“That you are,” he said, sounding proud of himself. “Come on, we need to shower.”

“Together? As in you want company?” Hesitating as he offered me his hand. For some reason, the idea of showering with him made me uneasy.

Calvin noticed my hesitation and smiled lovingly. “Iris, I think I’ve seen pretty much every part of you. A shower is nothing to be worried about.”

He was right, of course, but it still made me nervous. In a shower there were no sheets to hide under, nothing but our naked bodies. I took his hand and he pulled hard enough for me to bounce up, against his chest. “Take that t-shirt off now, sweetness.”

“What about your boxers?” I retorted, feeling a bit sassy.

“Even better, I’ll take them both off,” Calvin quipped. Grabbing the bottom of the shirt, he pulled it over my head tossing it aside. Then, he pushed his boxers down and kicked them towards the couch. A second later, I was hanging over his shoulder. I screamed, he laughed. I slapped his ass and he laughed louder. I could barely breathe with all the screaming and laughing.

He had the water running in no time, but he kept me on his shoulder. “Put me down, Calvin, please,” I begged.

  “The
water is not quite ready.” He laughed and I could tell he was looking at us in the mirror. What a sight! Being playful, he gave my ass a loud smack. It stung like a bitch too. Finally, he let my body slide down his chest until we were eye level. “Don’t be shy around me. I mean it when I say you are beautiful. Everything about you is worth being seen and I can’t get enough.”

We both stepped in under the spray of warm water. We kissed a lot, did a lot of touching, exploring, but we stayed in control. Calvin insisted on washing every part of my body and I returned the favor. I saw the scars on his ankle and knee. Even got a better look at all the ink on his gorgeous body.

“One day, you’re going to have to tell me all about them.”

“One day...” he said, with sadness in his eyes.

I had no idea what to say, or what to do when I saw his reaction. There was definitely something I hadn’t been told yet. Out of respect, I dropped it. When he was ready, he would tell me the story.

I rinsed my hair and stepped out of the shower. Calvin stayed under the water for a little longer, eventually getting out. While I brushed my hair, he kissed my neck and told me he was going to get dressed. I watched him leave the bathroom still wondering about his reaction to the tattoos.

The gym was quiet. Apparently, not many New Yorkers felt the need to work out on Christmas Eve.

Danielle and I talked about anything and everything to fill in the time. At first, there was some awkwardness between us, but after half an hour we got over it and chatted happily.

“What are you doing for the holiday?” Danielle asked.

“I was going to spend it alone at the dorm, but Calvin invited me over to spend Christmas with him.

“Excuse me? He asked you to spend Christmas with him?” Danielle asked in disbelief. I nodded and she grinned. “That’s a first. You’ve scored.”

I lifted an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“Calvin hasn't spent any holiday with anyone for years. It’s not a good time of the year for him.”

“Well, something must've changed, because he’s got a tree and everything.”
