HIS LOVE

Page 9

"Not even to get her comfortable?" The nurse asked in shock.

"Nothing. Don't even prick her with a needle." Antonio stroked Rayne's hair back as she groaned in pain. "I know it hurts but you can't have any of that stuff."

When she nodded and tried to smile he knew she understood.

"Are you ready to push?" The doctor asked.

  "She's ready."

Rayne watched her new family gather around her. She missed her parents, her brother, even her grandmother. But the Burkes gave her the love she knew she would miss if she was alone. Antonio held Alessandria and she held Reno in her arms. Antonio had decided to name their son Reno Kane Antonio Mathews-Burke. He was supposed to be the new Mathews-Burke to make his own legacy. Antonio wanted to make his relationship with his son better than what he had with Kane.

Rayne stared at Reno, apart from his curly hair he looked exactly like Antonio. The look of awe on Alessandria's face was priceless and when Reno opened his eyes they stared at each other like they were communicating on a deeper level. Seeing them like this she doubted that she would be able to go to work at all, but if she did she would have a baby on her hip and Alessandria in tow. Rayne wasn't the house wife type. She wanted a job, a career, but the two beautiful children in front of her made her rethink that. Antonio would go to work and make them even more money, that they didn't need and she was content with just sitting home and making the babies.

"What do you think about your little brother?" Antonio had an everlasting smile on his face.

"Can we keep him?" Alessandria asked the innocence filling her voice.

In the midst of all the laughter Rayne answered. "Sure."
