I turn and walk away, done with that bitch, and her bullshit. Viper leans against a wall talking to one of Blaze’s guests, so I head over there. They seem to be getting pretty close. I will need to have a talk with Viper. I head in that direction. Viper looks up and sees me.
“Happy Birthday, man. What are you like fifty?”
Viper’s scowls. “Fuck you, man.” We both laugh as I turn my attention to the girl that came with Alison.
“Hey, you’re Alison’s friend right?”
She narrows her eyes. “I’m her older and protective sister, and you are?”
Shit she is looking at me like she’s ready to fucking take me the hell out. What the hell?
“The name’s Ace. I’m the VP of the club. What’s your lovely name?” As soon as the word VP comes out of my mouth, she straightens, the look in her eyes changing from annoyed to worried.
“Tammy. Alison should be back any minute. She went to the bathroom.”
Viper and I exchange a look. “You let her go to the bathroom herself at a clubhouse where there are horny fucking men?” I growl out.
Tammy looks taken aback but recovers quickly, sneering at me. “She’s fine. Blaze took her.”
I look around, I see Blaze sitting on the couch talking to Destiny, another club whore. What the fuck is he doing, leaving Alison unattended? Jesus Christ.
I scowl at them both and turn on my heel, stalking off down the hallway towards the bathroom. I’m just about to raise my hand and knock on the door when it swings open. Alison gapes up at me, her eyes wide.
Grinning, I look down at her, and I can’t help it, fuck she’s beautiful. I want to touch her, kiss those lips. Fuck, I’m getting a hard-on just thinking of it. I lean on the door frame looking her up and down.
“Hey, what are you doing all by yourself?”
She looks like she’s about to run. I can see that she’s nervous about being alone with me, and she should be.
“Ummm... Hi.”
Shit, she is too fucking cute for her own good. I don’t want Blaze to get any closer to her. I want her. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to fucking stop thinking about her. Sweet Jesus, she is biting her lip. I can’t take it anymore.
I take a step toward her, I grab the back of her head, giving her a little smirk; I lean in and kiss her. She grabs my arms and moans. Oh shit, her moans are egging me on to take her to my room and throw her on the bed and have my way with her.
I’m not sure how long we were there kissing, but all I know is next I hear yelling. I pull away from Alison even if I didn’t want to and turn to see who is standing in the doorway yelling at us.
Porsche is standing there fuming. “What the fuck are you doing? I leave you for two minutes, and you’re sticking your tongue in some bitch’s throat?”
Gritting my teeth, I look down and see Alison staring at Porsche and then she whispers, “Oh my God.” Shit!
“I am so sorry; I didn’t know.”
Before I can stop her, she runs out of the bathroom and doesn’t look back. I’m standing there trying not to strangle Porsche. Fucking bitch. She glares back at me with hatred in her eyes.
Porsche turns leaving me standing there breathing hard. Shit, I think I just messed this up. Alison probably thinks I’m with Porsche. Fuck! Damn it. I leave the bathroom to see if I can find Alison.
Marching toward the party, looking to see if I can see Alison, but I can’t seem to see her anywhere. Damn it! Looking for Alison’s sister, I spot her at the bar talking to a few of the guys. I don’t see Viper with her.
I hear high pitched giggle, turning my head to see what is happening, and I see Viper and Destiny rubbing each other up. But Viper keeps looking at the bar where Tammy is.
Tammy is staring at Viper and Destiny, and I can see mixed emotions on her face. She looks sad and angry. Shit this isn’t going to end well.
The place is packed solid, so getting to the bar is difficult. “Hey Tammy, do you know where Alison is? I need to talk to her.”
Tammy turns to me, disgust written all over her face. “Leave my sister the fuck alone, asshole. She knows you’re taken, and she deserves better than you cheating on your woman to just get a piece of her. She’s not some home wrecker,” She yells
Now I am getting pissed. Not only did she just disrespect me, but she is telling me to leave Alison alone, that is not fucking happening.
“Tammy, what your sister saw with Porsche was a misunderstanding. Porsche is not my woman, and she never will be. Just tell me where your sister went so I can clear all this shit up.”
I watch as Tammy’s face changes, clearly torn about what to do. “I don’t want my sister to get hurt. She was humiliated. She doesn’t need any of your bullshit. But if you want to clear the air with her, fine. But I am warning you, if you fuck with my sister I will fuck you up, I don’t give a shit if you are the VP. No one fucks with my baby sister.”
I nod, acknowledging that I understand.
Right there, I think Tammy earned my full respect. My chest is full of pride about how protective Tammy is of Alison.
She blows out a slow breath, clearly accepting that I’m not going to give this up. “Alison came out here about five minutes ago. She was upset. I asked her what happened, and she told me what happened in the bathroom. That a woman had walked in on you guys, saying she was your old lady or some shit.”
She pauses for a second. “I’m not sure what the hell is going on, but if you got a woman, leave my sister alone. She doesn’t need the bullshit drama.”
I stare back at her, waiting for her to just tell me where her sister is, when she finally clears her throat. “Alison went off with Blaze. She was upset and wanted to leave, but Blaze talked her into staying, and I think they went to his room.” My face drains of color, my insides suddenly feeling like someone ripped them out. What the fuck?
“Thank you,” I say before turning and marching right down the hall towards Blaze’s room, praying that he’s not putting the moves on her. I take a deep breath and squeeze my eyes tight, swinging open the door. When I open them, I see Alison and Blaze, sitting on the couch, their arms wrapped around each other. It doesn’t seem like in a sexual way, but I am so pumped up about everything that has happened, I can’t stop the growl in my voice when I say, “What the fuck is going on?”
Both of their heads snap to me standing in the doorway. I’m ready to kill Blaze if he doesn’t let go of her. I see tears in her eyes and I feel like a fucking douche for putting them there. “Alison,” I whisper.
Not sure what she is going to say. Alison turns to Blaze and gives him a kiss on the cheek. She gets up, and stands in front of me, her voice is ragged from all the crying. “What do you want, Ace?”
Chapter 6
I cannot believe what just happened in the bathroom. I am so humiliated! Why the hell would he be kissing me when he has a girlfriend, or wife, or whatever the hell she is. Seriously! Thinking about the look on Ace’s face when she started yelling at him, it angers me. I’m so pissed off!
Running out of the bathroom was my best move. Going into the main hall where the party is in full swing, I look for my sister and see her talking to some guys at the bar.
It’s like Tammy has a secret power and can feel our sisterly bond. She turns narrowing her eyes, but they widen with shock when she sees I’m almost in tears. She hops off the bar stool.
“Oh my God, Alison. Are you okay? What happened? Where’s Blaze? I’m going to kill him.” She keeps rambling and I can’t take it anymore. I want to go somewhere quiet and clear my head.
“I am so stupid, Tammy. It has nothing to do with Blaze.”
Shifting my eyes toward the floor before looking up at Tammy’s face, I can see the confusion about what is going on.
“What do you mean it wasn’t Blaze? Oh my God.”
I cut her off before she can finish, “I’m fine. I’m just humiliated. Ace was there when I opened the bathroom door. He was standing there one minut
e, and then the next his lips were on mine, kissing me, and I was kissing him back.” I let out a frustrated sigh, I need to tell her the rest, even though I have a feeling if Tammy knows, it’s not going to be pretty for Ace.
“Then there was some girl that shows up in the doorway, yelling at Ace. I can’t believe he has a girlfriend. I am so stupid. I should have known better.”
I see Tammy is fuming as I explain what happened. She looks like she’s ready to kill. “Are you okay? Do you want to leave? We can leave if you want,” She says warily as she leans over and looks at me, waiting for me to say something.
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me. I’m going to see where Blaze is and just chill for a bit. I don’t want Ace to see me crying over him. I don’t even know him, and I am acting like some immature little girl.” She was always the big sister looking out for me. She needs this night out more than I do.
Just as I was about to go look for him, I see Blaze walking toward me. I try my best not to show the emotional mess that I am. Turning to face him, I give a hesitant smile. “Hi, I was just going to look for you.” Blaze stands there looking at me with a concerned expression.
“Are you alright? Did something happen? Don’t tell me someone actually fucking tried something with you. Give me a name and I will fix it.” He’s showing his tender side, caring enough that something might have happened.
I can’t hold it back anymore. I walk toward Blaze and throw my arms around his waist and sob. “Hey, everything’s going to be alright,” He says as he softly as he rubs my back in circular motions, trying to sooth me as I cry on his chest.
I look up at him and I see he's focused on Tammy. I am not sure what is going on, but I feel as if they are having a private conversation about something, and I see Tammy nod.
Blaze looks down at me, pushing the hair out of my eyes, “Alison, let’s go to my room to talk. I want to find out what happened. Is that okay with you?” I don’t really know Blaze, but looking into his eyes I know he is sincere. I want to get out of this main hall and go somewhere behind a closed door so Ace won’t find me anyways.
I don’t need to hear the lies he will tell me. Nodding to Blaze that I am fine with going with him to his room, he puts his hand out for me to grab.
I take his hand and we go down the hall. As we are getting closer to the bathroom, I panic. “Blaze, let's go outside, I don’t want to stay inside.” He looks at me, confused by my reaction, but when he sees me eyeing the bathroom, it’s like something clicks.
“My room is two doors before the bathroom.” As he says that we don’t have to walk by the bathroom, my mood lightens. Giving a tiny nod to Blaze to continue, we get in front of his door, and I hear Ace yelling at Porsche about something.
Oh Shit, open the door, Blaze, open the fucking door! Blaze looks toward the commotion and shakes his head. Once he unlocks the door, we head inside. It’s dark; he flicks the light on, and I look around to see that it seems pretty clean, which I am surprised about. Blaze is a biker. Aren’t they all messy? I guess this proves me wrong about that theory.
Blaze shuts the door and I try to calm myself down. My heart is racing just being that close to the bathroom, where I know Ace and that girl are at the moment. Looking around I see a desk with a chair, a bed with a nightstand and one dresser. Blaze walks over to the desk and sits down on the chair.
He motions with his hands for me to take a seat on the bed and I give him a small smile. “Thank you for getting me someplace quiet. I can’t face anyone right now.” Blaze tilts his head to the side. He’s probably wondering what happened to me.
He really is very attractive, with his dark brown hair and his bright blue eyes. He would be every girl’s wet dream. But I just can’t stop thinking of the asshole that made out with me ten minutes ago in the bathroom down the hall, knowing his girlfriend was here too. Oh my God, seriously? What the hell is wrong with him?
“No problem. I could tell you were upset about something. Just wanted to talk to you to see what’s up. Maybe I can help somehow. If someone messed with you, I can deal with them.” Oh God, I don’t think Blaze would think the same if he knew it was his VP that had me in the bathroom, shoving his tongue down my throat.
As I glance down at my hands resting on my lap, I wring my fingers between each other.
I’m nervous to say anything to Blaze. I am not sure what he will do. I don’t want Blaze to get hurt if he tries to confront Ace. But that’s just it, it’s not Blaze’s place to confront Ace. It’s mine. I don’t see that happening though, because I don’t want to see him right now. I can’t face him.
I will have that girl’s face forever burned into my head when she caught Ace and me in the bathroom. God, I’m a home wrecker. A hussy. Oh God, I can’t believe this.
“Blaze, please just leave it alone. It won’t change anything. I just want to forget it happened.” His jaw is ticking showing that he is pissed that I won’t say anything.
“Alison, please just tell me. I promise I won’t do anything if you don’t want me to, but I want to know what the hell happened.” Sighing, I hope he keeps his promise.
“Well, when I was in the bathroom, I went to open the door, but there was someone standing there waiting for me.” If looks could kill, holy shit, I am sure Blaze would have no problem.
“Tell me who was standing there waiting for you, Alison.”
I bite my lip as it starts to tremble. I finally decide to tell him.
“Ace was the one that was waiting for me, and you can’t get mad at him. He kissed me, and I kissed him back. It wasn’t one way. But then some girl showed up and started yelling at Ace, and I ran out of the bathroom. There… that’s it.”
Leaning over and putting my face in my hands, my face burns from embarrassment. I hear movement, and the bed dips down beside me. I look up and see Blaze as he gives me a little smile and grabs my hand.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that, but I am pretty sure Ace is a single man. He has never claimed an old lady, so I’m pretty sure who you saw was Porsche. She wants to be Ace’s old lady, but that isn’t going to happen. They just fuck, that’s it.”
I scrunch my face up with disapproval. Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had sex. I’m not a prude or anything, but I have some respect for myself. I’m not going to go around sleeping with men just to get off. I have a very handy vibrator at home that does the trick with less drama.
“Hey, don’t worry. If you don’t want Ace to bother you, let me know, and I will just talk to him.”
I shake my head slightly. “No it’s fine. I’m sure he forgot all about me when that girl, Porsche, showed up. Thanks Blaze, for being a good friend.” I lean forward and give him a hug.
He wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead.
“No problem. I kind of figured you weren’t into me that much when we kissed.”
Blushing, I turn my head to the side and then finally, when I get the nerve, I look up into his face.
“I’m sorry. Ever since the diner it’s been Ace that has had my attention.” Nodding his understanding of what I just said, tears fill my eyes knowing that I led him on. It breaks my heart.
The door flies open and there standing in the doorway is Ace. He’s breathing hard, and his eyes are filled with fire.
“Alison,” he whispers, but I’m not sure what to say or do.
I still have my arms around Blaze when the door opens and I see Ace standing there. I look from him to Ace and my eyes widen in horror. Ace is staring at Blaze’s arm that is around my waist. Shit this isn’t going to end well. Ace takes a couple of breaths. “What the fuck is going on?” The sound of his voice makes me shiver.
Blaze gets up and stands in front of me. “Nothing, we were just talking.” Ace doesn’t seem to believe him.
As I look up at Blaze, giving him a tiny smile, I get up from the bed and I walk over to stand at the foot of the bed. My voice is ragged from all the crying. “What do you want, Ace?”
Walk
ing into the room towards me, he stops in front of me and looks down. I don’t want to look at him. I can’t let him see me on the verge of tears.
I feel a warm breath on my ear and Ace’s husky voice whispering, “Alison, please look at me.”
As I lift my head to look at Ace, I see Blaze standing there looking a little uncomfortable. “I’m going to leave you guys alone so you can talk.”
He must see the look of distress on my face because he comes over to me and gives me a little nod. “Don’t worry. Ace won’t hurt you. I am sure whatever happened is a misunderstanding, and he just wants to talk. He’s not a bad guy, Alison.”
I hope he’s right, but I am not worried he will hurt me physically. I’m worried about my heart. I am not sure if I can deal with getting played and rejected once he gets what he wants from me.
I hear the door shut and look around the room. Ace is standing in front of me and Blaze is gone. I must have been in La-La Land for a minute. I don’t remember saying bye to Blaze.
Ace sits on the bed where, I was just sitting moments before and signals me to take a seat beside him. Sitting down on the bed, I hear him sigh as he runs his hands over his face.
“I want to tell you everything,” Ace says while looking at his hands.
“Can we go to my room? It’s bigger, and I have a couch. We can sit and talk.” Nodding my okay, we head to his room down the hall, just past the bathroom.
Ace unlocks the door. What is with them all locking their doors? As if he can read my mind, Ace speaks up. “We lock our doors because we have a lot of people around, and we don’t want anyone stealing anything.”
Ace opens the door to his room and as soon as we step inside the room, I’m floored. His bed is huge. There are three huge floor-to-ceiling windows that must be beautiful in the morning when the sun rises. I see a closed door as I turn to face him. Before I get a chance to ask him where that door leads to, he says, “That’s the bathroom.”
“Wow, you have your own bathroom? That is so cool.”
I hear him chuckle and sits on the couch, patting the space beside him. Oh God, why am I so nervous. We’re just going to be talking. Jesus’s calm down, Alison.
