  Most of Davis’s cryptid trophy collection can and should be seen in person at the wonderful International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  Margaret Broucek is a filmmaker and playwright whose works have appeared Off-Broadway and in festivals in the U.S. and Europe. She has had short stories published in the anthologies Sudden Fiction, Continued (W.W. Norton) and Best of TriQuarterly, and also in Alaska Quarterly Review. She holds an MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.

Nicholas, who devoted his life to music and literature about music, died in 1991 at the age of thirty-eight. This award has been created to celebrate his legacy and to encourage emerging writers whose lives and writing have been profoundly influenced by music.
