in the past," he said. "Big favors, too. Besides, my last action as a security man should be for something good."
"Last act?" said Alice who was listening to the conversation.
Fenster nodded. "He vowed to get out of the security business once this job was done."
"To do what?" she said, staring at him, remembering that he was the valiant hero who had saved her life in the Dark Lands.
"I'm going to sell greeting cards in a Hallmark Store," he said with a smile.
Alice stared at him for a second before she turned to Fenster. "Is he serious?"
Fenster just said nothing and smiled. Some questions just weren't meant to be answered.
