  Carol Ryles submitted her first short story to the Inaugural Katharine Susannah Prichard Speculative Fiction Award in 1998. To her immense surprise, it was awarded Highly Commended. Since then she has gained a BA in English and a PhD in Creative Writing focussing on steampunk, has graduated from Clarion West (Seattle), and has worked as Editorial Consultant and Project Manager for Trove, The University of Western Australia’s online creative arts journal. Carol’s stories have appeared in over a dozen small press anthologies and she is currently working on her second novel. You can read more at carolryles.net

  Angela Slatter is the author of the Aurealis Award-winning The Girl with No Hands and Other Tales, the World Fantasy Award finalist Sourdough and Other Stories, Aurealis finalist Midnight and Moonshine (with Lisa L. Hannett), as well as the 2014 releases Black-Winged Angels, The Bitterwood Bible and Other Recountings, and The Female Factory (again with Lisa L. Hannett). Her short stories have appeared in Australian, UK and US Best Of anthologies. She is the first Australian to win a British Fantasy Award, and was an inaugural Queensland Writers Fellow.   Anna Tambour’s novel Crandolin was shortlisted for the World Fantasy Award. Her next collection, The Finest Ass in the Universe, will be released in July 2015.

  Bram Stoker Nominee and Shirley Jackson Award winner Kaaron Warren has lived in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Fiji. She’s sold many short stories, three novels and four short story collections.   Janeen Webb is a multiple award winning author, editor and critic. She is the recipient of the World Fantasy Award, the McNamara SF Achievement Award, the Australian Aurealis Award and is a three-time winner of the Ditmar Award. She is internationally recognized for her critical work in speculative fiction, and holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Newcastle. A collection of her short stories, Death at the Blue Elephant (2014) was published by Ticonderoga Press.
