When it was empty he returned it to the storage bin in the back of the wagon. The back of the old, but meticulously maintained four wheeled station wagon, had been converted to keep him on the road for as long as necessary. Part of it had a pad and his sleeping bag, but the rest was devoted to neat storage, of gear, fuel and weapons.
