Time Warp

Gale, considered this, and drew up a timetable based on the speed they had traveled, the time it took them, and also the variation in earth’s time.
Jeramaya now had a complete timetable, and could calculate what year he wanted to return to, change whatever he deemed fit to change. He now had true control of everything, he even had the power to stop Sonard’s probe from ever leaving earth however, his first objective was to track down Sonard.
“Sir shall I conduct another trail run to verify our findings?” asked gale. “That won’t be necessary gale,” said Jeramaya.
He felt they had wasted enough time already traveling through space; he now wanted to travel through time, just to see what earth really looked like before it was destroyed.
“Sir what year would like us to travel too,” asked gale. “Set a course for the year 2003, I think it’s time we paid Mr. Sonard a visit.”
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Back into the past
Since Jeramaya had traveled back into the past Carl had not yet managed to operate the electronic spear head, that would have relayed a signal that activate Sonard’s deep space probe, sending it across the galaxies to his own planet.
Even though, this was what the spearhead was designed to do. However, Carl would eventually activate the devise years before its time; Sonard’s race within a matter of minutes will arrive to find that planet earth is already over populated. However, what worried Sonard the most was what his superior would discover, what his plans were to try to eliminate man. Everything Sonard had done to our planet goes against their very beliefs. To destroy another species or even tamper with time or nature it-self was something Sonard’s race had learned not to do. Altering any genetic features with in a species may advance a race to become a superior intelligent being, however, in the end the consequences that came with it, always proved to be more destructive, harmful with unimaginable consequences. Sonard had given man intelligence, he had also tampered with the dominate species, when nature knew that apes were not capable of controlling their immense anger, thirst for blood. Were nature takes millions of years to perfect any type of life form to fit within an Eco system, Sonard had created man in just a fraction of that time, creating a monster that kills, destroys any thing that stands in his way. Eventually mans greed for power and dominance, will become the better of him destroying planet earth in the process.
Sonard knew his plans had failed, that is why he sought to infecting the planet, hoping to destroy the human beings that he had created. Nevertheless, Sonard’s first objective was not what excuse he could give his spurious when they arrived, however, to repair his teleportation system, so he could retrieve the spearhead before Carl had a chance to operate it. Sonard knew if it fell into the wrong hands, man could develop a weapon stronger than anyone has ever seen before. All that was needed were a few minor, alterations and the spears strong laser light could be converted into a powerful ray. Which could be used to destroy Sonard’s peoples, fleet of ships if they ever arrived, or even used in another war humans had the habit of starting, destroying earth completely, something Sonard had been trying to avoid, ever since he came to our planet.
Still, whatever Sonard may do or try to overcome this problem, he would soon discover that whatever action he decided to take, would all be in vain. He had thought of every solution that he could, to try to succeed in obtaining a planet for his people; however, there was still one problem, which he had over look, and that was time itself.
Jeramaya and his crew had succeeded in traveling through time, catching up with Sonard as they lay in space hidden by their cloaking device; they scoured the earth searching for Sonard. They knew he must have some sort of superior telecommunication of some kind, separating himself from the primitive signals that man was sending.
As they lay in the safety of their space cruiser, they indulged themselves in the receptions, programs, and a variety of information they could receive from earth’s distant outer orbit in space. Some of the televised programs proved to be shocking, as Jeramaya witness conflict after conflict, he was also disgusted to see man doing his best to destroy one another, polluting the planet in the process. How his people could be expected to live amongst this destructive race was something yet to be seen. Jeramaya thought, maybe this is why Sonard had returned to the past hoping to try to educate man to embrace his compatriot, instead of doing his best to destroy him. “Sir I am picking up some sort of teleportation signal,” said Jeff
“Great! Track its position and locate the main power source,” replied Jeramaya.
Finally they had managed to locate, and separate Sonard’s signal, it seemed the main power source, which was not receptacle by mans conventional methods, was coming from somewhere underground.
Jeramaya retreated to his quarters and began to change his uniform; he wore the brilliant white suit that was recognized by everyone within his society to be the highest-ranking officer within the colony. He stepped outside his quarters; quite pleased with himself he had earned his stripes even though, not the way that he had intended.
Jade nodded her head to confirm her approval, which Jeramaya had the right to wear such a uniform, since Clare had acknowledged his superiority.
Jeff also stood to attention showing his respect to his senior, However, Jeramaya wasn’t really bother what color he wore, the main reason for such a change was just to show Sonard that he had authority over him, out ranking Sonard 3 to 1.
Jeff entered the coordinates to Sonard’s secret bunker into their own teleportation device, as Jeramaya took his place ready to challenge Sonard, finding out the truth as to why he had ventured into the past. Most of all to inform him that his so-called probe had done nothing for his people beside destroyed the entire colony, nearly wiping his own race from the face of the universe.
Sonard’s was in his underground facility, troubled after the events that had taken place. He was still trying to figure out how Carl had managed to escape, when a technician who was repairing their navigation systems, noticed something strange appearing on his screen. A small bleep appeared; showing something had entered earth’s outer orbit system. Sonard discarded the signal as being a reflected wave, which sometimes accord when radio waves would bounce off another planet, giving the appearance that something was there, waiting in space. However, since it lasted for just a brief moment Sonard advised the technician to ignore it for now, and to inform him if it ever happened again.
The control room was empty when Jeramaya materialized in Sonard’s underground bunker. He wondered around the room, seeing how Sonard had created such a system on his own, meaning Sonard must have been trapped on earth for quite a while for him to complete such a task
The door opened, the radio technician had returned, he stared at the tall figure of a man that stood in front of him, his face was unshaven, his dark beard and white uniform, gave him the appearance of authority. His brilliant white suit, fabricated from material unknown to him, gave the technician the impression that this man was not from around here. Jeramaya stared at the man and played the part, he walked passed him not even acknowledging his presence, and walk out into the corridor.
People walked by staring at Jeramaya as his appearance showed he had superiority over them, as he continued to admire what Sonard had created, a facility of his own in a world foreign to him.
A man ran passed Jeramaya disappearing down a hallway, Jeramaya figured he would be the one to inform Sonard of his presence and he was right. Sonard stood at the end of the hallway not believing his eyes, he instantly recognized Jeramaya. However, to find him wearing the distinctive white uniform came as a surprise to him. People stopped to stare as they saw Sonard bow his head to this tall man, something they had never seen Sonard do before. They instantly bowed their heads eyeing Jeramaya as he greeted Sonard; they both disappeared into his quarters closing the door behind them.
It seemed Sonard was confused as to how Jeramaya had found him, since the probe that waited in space ready to inform
Sonard’s people of the planet he had discovered, had not yet be activated. However, Jeramaya explained to Sonard, how he and his crew had traveled into the past tracking Sonard’s footsteps, to inform him not to activate the probe, preventing it from ever leaving earth’s solar system
“Jeramaya, The probe contains information regarding this planet, not to send it would never reveal its position within the galaxy,” said Sonard.
Jeramaya paced around the room trying to bring himself to tell Sonard that in the future what the probe would do to his very own people. Sonard sunk into his chair not believing what he was hearing, that he had succeeded to infect an entire population, only this time it was his very own.
The two men sat in silence for a while, giving them the chance to really absorb what had happened. Since Jeramaya had spent the last week trying to discover the bases of time travel, the whole scenario, which had taken place on his own planet, had not really hit him until now. Sonard on the other hand, was trying desperately to try and figure out who would in the near future activated the probe in the first place. Since Jeramaya knew nothing about Carl and his friends he had assumed Sonard had activated the distant probe that had infecting his people,
However, Sonard knew better, and tried very hard to conceal the fact. Since the spearhead was the only device that could activate Sonard’s deep space probe, which was lost, years ago, stolen from his own spacecraft by Adameus. Who was cast into the past for not agreeing with Sonard’s plans to infect man, to try to rid the planet of the species they had created?
Jeramaya continued pacing around the room, causing Sonard to feel very uncomfortable; he remained silent as his head was full of questions that needed answering. The door silently slides open and there stood Maya, she calmly walked into the room carrying some light refreshments; she offered Jeramaya a cool drink to quench his thirst. He stared at the woman, as she looked very similar to his own wife Laya, who most probably had perished along with their only son Luka, Infected by the plague, which reminded Jeramaya why he had come here in the first place?
Jeramaya thanked Maya, and accepted the light refreshment, theirs eyes met, Maya turned around leaving the two men on their own. Jeramaya placed the glass back onto the tray, he knew since he was new to this planet consuming anything could have a drastic affect on his own body, Infecting him with one of hundreds of germs that feasted on this planet.
Jeramaya turned towards Sonard, approaching him and slammed his fist onto his desk,
“Why did you ever result to time travel in the first place?”
Sonard hesitated, “it was merely by accident, we were surveying the plant when for some reason on our return, we found ourselves in a different time zone”, replied Sonard,
“Then where is your expedition cruiser?” asked Jeramaya.
“On reentry it developed a malfunction, we had to eject in the survival craft, and our ship exploded taking most of my crew with it.”
Jeramaya knew he was lying, concealing the truth; Sonard had teleportation that could only be achieved by using certain crystals that are not found on earth, meaning Sonard must have taken these crystals before their ship perished.
Jeramaya pushed Sonard for more answers; their voices could be heard along the corridor, people stopped to hear. This was the first time anyone had ever challenged Sonard, and it seemed this would not be the last, his superiors had arrived to conduct an investigation as to what he was doing here, Maya knew Sonard would be laying his head off. If Jeramaya had any idea what Sonard’s true reason for coming to earth was, or what he had succeeded in doing, it would be the end to Sonard and his mad sadistic plan to rid the earth of man, Something she knew his people would never agree to.
Jeramaya continued to verbally, attack Sonard, until jade’s voice comes over his receiver.
“Sir you must return you have already over stayed your duration.”
Jeramaya stared at Sonard, angered by his lame response; he left his quarters hurrying down the hallway towards the teleportation room. He had spent just over half an hour breathing the air, inhaling any foreign spores that could be harmful to him. Each visit would have to be time controlled to minimize the risk of infection.
Maya ran down the corridor eager to catch up with Jeramaya she did not know this man however, if anyone could stop Sonard she knew it would have to be this tall stranger. He had challenged Sonard meaning he must over rank him, or Sonard would not have taken these insults lightly.
Jeramaya gained access to the teleportation room waiting for his ship to signal, that they had the right coordinates to Tele-port him back on board. Jeramaya turned as the door open behind him, he stared over to Maya as she slowly started to walk towards him when a light appeared, engulfing his entire body. Maya ran towards Jeramaya, wrapping her arms around his body, clinging to him as tightly as she could. The light would only last for few seconds; Jeramaya squeezed her, as close to him as possible, he knew if any part of her body was left outside the light it would instantly be left behind. Which is just what had happen to the lab technician that Carl tried to push away, leaving the light to slice through his body, splicing the man in half?
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
All over again
Carl and his friends had sought refuge inside a small remote hotel room, and had not yet encountered Sonard’s men inside the library. Jan had just come out of the shower, to find Carl arguing with Jason about their abduction. She began to explain what Maya had told them that the truth was all around them. They came to the conclusion, that Mayas father Adameus, might have influenced a man called Nostradamus, and decided to look for facts related to this person inside the library, or at least try to understand what Nostradamus might have predicted, or what is suppose to happen in the future.
They knew whatever they discovered, could help them in defeating Sonard, and the library seemed like the best place to start searching through any ancient text. Jan had just read a passage about alight, was to descend from the heavens and the savoir of humankind was to appear. If only they knew that these events had already taken place, repeating themselves, maybe they could have learned from their mistakes, something Sonard had already taken in to account.
Sonard had already made plans to fly to Greece, forever hoping to pursue Carl to join his group of half-breeds. However, since Jeramya’s resent visit he knew this was never to be, Carl must have defeated him once again, activating the probe, infecting his home planet. Sonard had a glimpse into the future, which was provided by Jeramaya, allowing him to drastically, change his plans.
From now on, Sonard would do his best to try to eliminate Carl and his friends, hoping Jeramaya would return to his home planet for good, leaving Sonard to continue to try to destroy the species he had created.
Jason was inside their jeep outside the library smoking his fat cigar, while Nick choked on his fumes. Nick rolled the window down hoping to get some fresh air, when he noticed a dark b.m.w park in front of the library. He nudge Jason who also stared at the car, only this time just one man carrying a small brief case, stood on the pavement. Jason eyed the man, he knew it must be one of Sonard’s, men but to go in alone was crazy, unless the smart, looking gentlemen wearing a dark suit was carrying some sort of a bomb concealed inside his suit case. Jason panicked, and phoned Carl who was still going over the book about Nostradamus, when his phone rang”, Carl get out of there now!”
Carl reacted at once, and hid behind a bookshelf dragging Jan behind him.
The smart looking man, entered the library and placed his brief case near the desk and turned around to leave, Carl figured Jason was right; it must be some sort of an explosive device. “Quick everyone get out! There is a bomb,” yelled Carl.
The man heard his voice, and ran to his car not wanting to be identified. The people panicked, running towards the door, while Carl and Jan slide outside with the rest of the people concealing their identity. They had just managed to cross the road when an explosion ripped through the Library, shattering the glass wind
ows; they also noticed the dark b. m. w disappearing through the side streets.
Jeramaya, by informing Sonard as to what was to happen had already unknowingly, in some way changed the course of history.
The events that are to follow would show that their superior council’s decision, to abandon all types of time warp would prove them right, Sonard now had the upper hand and he would use this to his advantage, forever hoping to eliminate Carl whatever way he could.
Jeramaya reappeared inside the decontamination unit aboard his vessel, Maya was still clinging to him, and he pushed her away, feeling angry that she had managed to get inside their deep space cruiser.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing? You could have been killed?” shouted Jeramaya.
“It would have been worth the risk if it meant stopping Sonard!” replied Maya, her tone of voice, matching Jeramaya‘s.
“We have already stopped Sonard; he will never activate the probe since he knows what consequences it would bring”.
“You stupid man, Sonard will never activate the probe Carl will.”
“Carl! Who is Carl I don’t remember a Carl being assigned to Sonard’s crew?”
“He is the one who discovered the spearhead that Adameus had stolen, before Sonard throw him into the past, being lost forever,” replied Maya.
“What are you on about? Adameus was killed when their ship struck the earth.”
“Listen to me, I am Adameuse’s daughter! I am a half breed just like Carl is,” yelled Maya.
Jade and Jeff, could hear every word being said through the intercom, they knew that Sonard had lied to Jeramaya, however this was more complicated then they had ever imagined. Sonard had interbred with another species, which means there could be thousands of them on earth.
Jeff activated the decontamination mist to disinfect Jeramaya’s clothing; Maya started screaming thinking she was being gassed, and began to panic. “It’s ok! Its harmless just relax and breathe it in.”
