She turns and her eyes widen as her cheeks flush crimson. “Excuse me? Do I know you?” Her tone is hushed.
“I know everyone, of course,” I carry on. “I know that you have a way of capturing the room and that you’ve had a way of capturing my heart since we were only kids.”
Amelia squints at me, trying to figure out who is hiding behind this fake, white beard and Santa hat. “Oh, is that so?” Her eyes twinkle.
“It is.”
“Well, Santa, I’ve always been a good girl. Even when I was younger, so you must have me mixed up with someone else. Although, I have always had a thing for older men,” she teases me.
“And I’ve always had a thing for you.” I tug down the beard and Amelia gasps.
“Adam?” Her face burns bright as she bites her bottom lip and looks over me again, this time scrutinizing every detail. “I can’t believe it’s you,” she whispers.
Chapter 4 - Amelia
I can’t believe after all these years, it’s really him. He steps in closer to me and I am transported to a different time with one whiff of his cologne. Like the decades that have passed since we went to Winterfest have dissolved. Not that he looks like it’s been decades anyway. His bright blue eyes sparkle mischievously at me.
That feeling overtakes me once again. That fluttery nervousness roils around inside me as I look up at his full lips and wonder if, after all this time, we’ll finally have that kiss.
“You know, I don’t know if you remember this”—his voice is thick and comforting—“but a long time ago, I almost kissed you.”
“Did you?” I try to sound surprised, but my voice just comes out breathy.
“It’s true. It was at a Christmas party, just like this one. And I’m not a superstitious man, but now that I’ve met you again at another Christmas party, I feel like I need to do what I should have done back then.”
“Not to mention there’s that.” I point over his head and he glances up at the mistletoe we’ve stepped under.
“That seals it.” His arms wrap around me and he leans into me. His lips tenderly cover mine in a sensual, warm kiss that heats me up. Especially the heat that pools between my legs.
I moan into Adam’s mouth, forgetting that we’re in a room full of people, letting myself melt into him. Letting our tongues collide and twist together as I breathe him into my lungs. I finally pull back and look around the room self-consciously, but luckily, if anyone saw us, they aren’t making a big thing about it.
“I wish you had done that years ago.” I peer up at Adam from under my lashes.
“So do I,” he agrees. Scanning the crowd, he nods toward the door. “Would you like to go for a walk? Maybe catch up a bit?
“I’d love that.”
Adam’s fingers wrap around mine and he leads me out into the winter’s night, wrapping his arm around me and pulling me into him tight. The frosty air is no match for his radiating heat.
“Where have you been all this time?” I let myself lean into the safety of his arms.
“I wish I could say I’d been living an exciting life, but I can’t help but think of the life I missed out on by leaving this place.”
Our feet crunch on the snow as the moon above makes it glisten before us. “I’m sorry to hear that.” My heart squeezes.
“Don’t be. I’ve had a good life. I built a company up from the ground. I’ve had more success than many. But, I just realized I was missing out on something, you know? Like that company and the money didn’t fill a void that grew inside me. One that I might not have had if I didn’t leave Vancouver, and you, Amelia, behind.”
A blast of cold air hits us and Adam nods to the sleigh that is outside the barn where the horses have been put away for the night. “Want to sit up in there? At least there are some blankets to keep us cozy.”
“I’d love to.” I let him take my hand and help me up into the back of the sled.
Chapter 5 - Adam
I help Amelia get up into the sled and watch the way her round ass sways in my face, teasing me. I groan inwardly and follow her up inside as she gets settled under a thick, heavy blanket and lifts the corner, inviting me to join her.
We sit in silence as our breaths plume out like the smoke billowing out of most chimneys tonight. A sign of the toasty fires inside that are keeping people warm. I follow Amelia’s gaze up to the midnight sky and can’t believe how bright the stars are tonight. On a crisp, clear night like tonight they are so brilliant they almost seem to pop. It’s as if Jack Frost and Mother Nature worked together to paint with the most beautiful, shimmering snowflakes.
“It’s so beautiful up here,” Amelia whispers, her eyes wide and the moonlight kissing her milky skin.
“It is,” I answer simply. “But it’s got nothing on you.” I study her face as she glances over at me shyly. Even in the dark, I can see the pink stain over her cheeks as she flushes with delight.
Amelia picks at the blanket for a second. “You know, when I took the sleigh ride earlier, I was thinking about the last time I went on one of these.”
“Oh, when was that?”
Her hands steady and a smile tugs the corners of her mouth up as her eyes travel back over to my face. “It was with you.”
The memory of us being tugged by huge horses down a snowy path comes flashing back to me. It’s amazing how that was so long ago, yet it feels like yesterday at the same time. Time plays a funny trick on all of us, telling us that we’ve gotten older with each passing year when we’re all really just a bunch of eighteen-year-olds walking around in aging bodies.
I remember that even after taking a few sips from Tim’s flask, I was still nervous as hell to get to sit next to Amelia. The truth was, I cared for her since well before that night. She probably wouldn’t remember how we’d been in classes together for two years. Or how she used to bite the eraser end of her pencil whenever she struggled to figure out a math problem. I would get sucked into her, my thoughts constantly orbiting her like the moon dancing around the sun.
“That was a fun night,” I finally answer, pushing away my thoughts.
“Do you remember how the ride came to a stop and we were sitting close, just like this?” She leans into me. Her perfume intoxicates me in a way that no liquor could.
“I do.” I wrap my arm around her and pull her in tight.
“Why didn’t you kiss me?”
“What’s that?”
“I remember it so clearly. The ride stopped and we were so close. We looked at each other”—she looks up at me and I can’t help but stare at her plump lips—“and I could feel it in the air. I wanted you to kiss me as much as I think you wanted to. But then you didn’t.”
“Well.” I search for my words. How do I explain myself without sounding awful? “The thing was, that night it almost killed me not to kiss you. The reason I sat next to you was to help Tim out, though. And, I almost failed at it. I almost let my feelings for you get in the way of what he begged me to do.”
Amelia gasps. “Tim? He and I were married for thirty-two years. How did you help him?”
“It sounds like I made the right decision then. Not that it made it any easier. See, Tim told me he was in love with you. He was head over heels. I knew how I felt about you too, but when he pleaded with me to introduce you to him that night, I decided to step back and see what fate decided. When the sleigh ride ended, I did want to kiss you. More than anything, but I remembered my promise to Tim and kept it, I might add.”
“Yes, you did.” Amelia swallows hard. “Thank you for that. You helped give me some of the best years of my life.”
“Good.” I let out a deep breath and watch as it travels up into the cold night.
“But I still have plenty more years to make amazing memories with you.” She grins.
“Oh?”
“You did the right thing that night. And you helped me find my husband. We had a good life and I’m grateful. However, I don’t know about you, but us meeting like this, it’s a
lmost like fate is smiling on us. Like it’s giving us a little nudge.”
I can’t stop the smile that spreads over my face. “I think so too.” I’m so glad she put into words what I couldn’t.
“Do you still want to kiss me?”
“More than anything.” I wrap my hand in her hair and blanket her lips with mine, tenderly kissing her. Letting our lips sensually and softly reunite. A flame ignites inside me, stirring a need I’ve denied myself for too long. A need I can’t control anymore. My cock aches for her as our kiss deepens and my tongue spills my secret desires to her. I kiss her deeply, passionately, urgently.
“I want you, Amelia.”
Chapter 6 - Amelia
“I want you too,” I confess. A whimper escapes my lips as his fingers circle my wrist and he pulls my hand over to the bulge in his pants. I bite my lip and drag my palm over his steel erection.
“See what you do to me?” he growls. “Do I make you wet, Amelia? If I slide my hand up that flirty little dress, am I going to feel your honey spilling out onto your panties?” There’s a fire flashing in his eyes as he slips his fingertips under the hem and slowly inches them up my thigh.
I clench my eyes shut and my breathing quickens as his thumb grazes my lace panties.
“Mmm, you’re a naughty girl after all,” he murmurs approvingly. “God, you’re so wet.” His fingers wrap around the fabric and tug it aside as he slips one inside me.
My pussy clenches down around him as my entire body tingles with desire. It’s been so long since I’ve felt this way, it’s almost like I’m doing all of this for the first time. Since I met my husband when I was so young, it is the first time I’ve had any man but him touch me.
Adam wraps his arm around my waist and hoists me onto his lap. I tug my dress up and straddle his thighs, staring down at the obvious ridge of his pulsing shaft outlined in his pants. He thrusts another finger inside me, shamelessly looking down at my pussy now as my juices glisten on his fingers.
“I bet you taste like heaven.” His intense blue eyes hold mine captive as he slowly pulls his fingers from my center and licks my slick coating. “Mmmm.”
My nipples pebble and my pussy clenches tight as I watch him savor my honey. Adam snakes his fingers up into my hair and tugs it back so my breasts are thrust forward. He reaches down my dress, cupping my flesh in his hand, and runs his thumb over my pert nipple.
“Ohhh,” I moan to the night sky. The chill that surrounded us in the air only moments ago has been chased away by the heat of my desire. An electric buzz travels over my skin, almost crackling in the quiet night.
“Tell me what you want, Amelia,” Adam demands and my eyes snap back to him.
For a moment I feel shy. Like I couldn’t possibly tell him all the dirty, sexy thoughts I’ve been having. I’ve never been the kind of girl to talk dirty in bed, or do much talking at all actually. Heat flushes my cheeks as I manage to utter a single word. “You.”
“What do you want me to do?”
I can see that he’s enjoying this. A mischievous glint dances in his eyes as he tortures me, dragging this out and making me beg for what I want.
“I want to feel you.” My voice is barely a whisper.
“Feel me what?” He gently pinches my nipple and an electric bolt shoots through my core, slicing through me and sending a lightning shock to my clit.
I rock my hips on him, his ready cock eager to be freed from his pants. I lick my lips and slip my fingers over his girth. “I want to feel every inch of this inside my pussy. I want your cum to fill me so full it might drip down my legs. I want you to fuck me so hard I have a hard time walking straight.” I smile at the surprised look that sweeps his face. It only lasts a second before his eyes narrow and he frantically yanks my dress up higher.
“Hold up your dress,” he demands and I comply. My body trembles, but it has nothing to do with the temperature out here. Every inch of my skin is anxious to feel him against me. As he slides his pants and then his underwear down over his hips I gasp. My body is on fire with need as I can’t help but stare at all nine inches of his package. I know my mouth is open, but I don’t even care.
Adam tugs my dress down on top and reaches inside my bra, cupping my breast and pulling it out. “Pull your panties to the side, Amelia,” he murmurs and circles my taut nipple with his tongue. In a hypnotic haze, I do what he tells me to. My body is just running on the need for pleasure and the promise of release at this point.
He exposes my other breast to the cool chill of the air, slurping greedily as he sucks on one and then twirls his tongue around the other. Adam fists his cock and brings it to my entrance, all while suckling and flickering my nipple in his mouth. His head probes my slick entrance and I moan with a deep hunger I didn’t know my body still had.
“Fuck me, Adam,” I plead.
He nips his teeth against the edge of my nipple and slides his cock inside my soaking wet pussy as I cry out with the mixture of pain and pleasure. My entire body tightens as the feelings mix and mingle inside me, taking me over.
I buck my hips forward, spreading my thighs wider, and Adam thrusts his ass up from the bench and slides his thick member all the way up inside me. I’m completely overwhelmed by him as he fucks me deep and hard. An animal instinct takes me over as I grind my wet pussy down against him and meet his every thrust with my own, giving him the deepest access to my body possible.
Adam teases my nipples and tugs my hair back in his hand so I’m left staring at the starry sky and watch as the bright lights blur as his cock fills me with an overwhelming bliss I’ve never known. I feel like I’m a young woman again, with no place of my own to have sex in and am riding a hot man in the backseat of his car. Between us time has no meaning. The years and joys and pains the decades have brought us all boil down and become almost meaningless as we writhe and thrust against each other, his cock filling me and stretching me out with every forward pump of his hips.
My pussy squeezes down tight and my breathing hitches as tears line my eyes and the stars blur overhead. “Oh my God,” it comes out as a whisper, but the sensation roars through me as an incredible orgasm makes my insides quiver and my body quake.
“Fuck,” Adam grits through his teeth and holds my ass down against him as he fills me completely. His cum spurts into me, splashing inside me and marking me as his. His cock twitches as the seed spills out a little, mixing with my own and leaving a bit on him as well.
I collapse forward onto him and Adam holds me close as we breathe heavily in the back of the sleigh. “That was amazing,” he finally utters the words and kisses me tenderly.
I manage to get my wobbly legs under me and stand up, getting myself sorted out as Adam tucks his cock back into his pants. “It was,” I agree. “Should we go back into the party?” I don’t really know what we are now. Anything? Nothing? I’ve never done anything like this before in my life. This is all new to me.
“No, Amelia, come sit with me. Let me hold you. I’ll grab one of the blankets.” He reaches across the bench and grabs one as I take a seat. Adam pulls the blanket over us cozily and wraps his arm around my shoulders as I snuggle into him tight.
“This night, finding you, all of this”—he nods—“it’s the best Christmas gift I’ve ever gotten. I’m not in any rush to get back to a party with a bunch of people I barely know when I could spend time with just you.”
“I would love that,” I breathe out and my anxiety slips away. Resting peacefully in his arms, I stare up at the sky and can’t help but feel like fate is smiling down on me tonight.
“Besides,” he murmurs, “I might not be a young man anymore, but if you give me twenty minutes I can give you another present you won’t soon forget.” He smiles down at me and winks.
“Mmmm, the gift that keeps on giving.” I laugh. “I could get used to that.”
“Good, because if I have my way, you’ll be getting presents from me every night and day.” He pulls me in closer.
“I
d love that.” I giggle and melt into his arms.
We sit in silence, enjoying the afterglow of our passion. The perfect combination of fire and ice as we gaze up at the stars together.

Chapter 1 - Ryker
I still have an hour to kill before my shift starts at the Oregon library. I rip down the coast in my convertible with the top down, soaking up a rare day of sunshine in the normally rainy months of winter.
It isn’t often that I get to enjoy this car the way it was meant to be. The electric blue, 1967 Mustang convertible isn’t the kind of car you go run errands in. It’s the kind of car you live on the edge of life. Speeding down the twisting highway, I breathe in the ocean air and let the world, the responsibilities, the endless politics and bullshit all drift away.
All that matters is this time.
Ka-chunk! A cloud of steam billows up from my hood as my gauges all flatline and my car slows to a crawl.
“Damn it!”
I steer over to the side of road as the Mustang rolls to a dead stop. I throw it in park and jump out pulling up the hot hood and burn my hand.
“Fuck!”
So much for the moment, expensive mechanic bills for a vintage vehicle flash dollar signs in my eyes. There’s no point in me taking a look at the engine anyway. I wouldn’t have the first clue of what I was looking at under there.
I pluck my Samsung from my pocket and sigh. I guess I need to call a tow truck, not to mention the library so they know I’m going to be late.
