Sweet Dream Lover

Kat scooped up a blob of fudge for herself. “I got another postcard from Norma.”

With Fritz so busy bringing Critter Carvings to market, he and Norma decided to delay their wedding until last month. They finally headed off to their postponed honeymoon two weeks ago.

Mark lapped another mouthful of fudge from her finger. “Fritz made an absolutely brilliant move hiring his father as VP of the toy division.”

“Uncle Ned acts as if he knew all along what a genius his son is.”

Mark plucked the not-quite-empty Chocolate Magic package from her hand and set it aside. “I’m more interested in what a genius you are. In particular, that clever little maneuver with your tongue.”

“Which one?” she murmured. “This?” She traced the curve of his ear with the tip of her tongue. “Or this?” Shifting, she laved the quickening flesh between his legs.

He groaned, fingers threading through her hair. “That,” he gasped, “will do for now.”

They lingered over their climax the second time around, teasing each other to ecstasy. Later, when they lay panting in each other’s arms, Kat whispered in his ear, “I love you, Mark Denham.”

He nuzzled her neck. “More than chocolate?”

“Hmm,” she considered. “That’s a tough one.”

He went up on one elbow and gave her a poke. Laughing, she snuggled close. “More than all the chocolate in the world.”

  About the Author

As a nine-year-old, Karen Sandler was a horse-crazy kid with an over-active imagination. When that pony she begged for didn’t appear on Christmas morning, she wrote about horses in poetry and stories. It took until she was an adult to both buy her first horse (the very unladylike Lady) and see her first book published. Since then, she’s sold many books to traditional publishers and indie-published several others. In addition to writing novels, she loves riding her beautiful Andalusian/Morgan mare, Belle (who is very ladylike). She lives in Northern California with her husband, Gary, and two cats—pleasingly plump Tenka and formerly feral Zak.
