“And that’s cool, but this wasn’t the place for her to bring her. I like Asia and all, but she better not be on no bullshit,” Zyrian warned.

“You know my girl ain’t even on that no more,” Buck defended.

“Yeah okay, I would hate to have to pay some of our cousins to beat her ass. You know most of them don’t care for her anyway. They might just do the shit for free.”

Buck only nodded his head because he knew that what his cousin said was true. He and Asia had been together off and on for almost seven years, but she wasn’t a favorite amongst their family. She had started some drama between a few of his cousins and they couldn’t stand her ever since. After a few of them beat her ass, she calmed down quick and started staying to herself. She didn’t have many friends, so her cousin Renata was who she always hung out with.

“Hey y’all,” Asia said when she and Renata walked up.

Everybody spoke back, but Renata made her greeting to Zyrian personal.

“Hey, Zyrian. How have you been?” Renata asked while walking up on him.

“Happily married,” he replied as he took a step back.

Everybody started laughing at his response, but he was dead ass serious. He wasn’t trying to have Rylee think he was on no bullshit and her being so close to him wasn’t a good look.

“Um, okay, congrats I guess,” Renata said feeling slightly embarrassed.

Zyrian was always very blunt, so she didn’t know why she was surprised by his answer. He was also very honest. A few days after Rylee moved in with him and Zyra, he told Renata what was up. Although Rylee was still married, he admitted to having feelings for her. Renata wanted more from him, but he couldn’t do it. He wanted Rylee, and he refused to commit to anyone else knowing how he felt about her. Renata didn’t like his admission, but she had to respect his mind. They still kicked it from time to time, but he cut off all communication with her as soon as he and Rylee made things official. Renata never expected them to be married and expecting a child so soon after. Everything happened so fast that she never really had a chance to process it all. Now, seeing him standing there looking like a male model had her feeling him all over again. Zyrian was in Polo from top to bottom and Renata couldn’t keep her eyes off of him.

“Hey y’all, it’s almost time to cut the cake,” Zyra came to the door and yelled.

She didn’t have to tell Zyrian twice. He left everyone in his dust as he briskly walked back into the building and up to his wife. When Asia and Renata tried to walk in Zyra blocked their path. Buck looked at his cousin trying to see what was going on.

“Y’all gotta go,” Zyra said while looking back and forth between the two of them.

“What’s wrong cuz,” Buck asked her.

“What you mean what’s wrong? That’s just disrespectful for her to even be here,” she said pointing at Renata. “And since she came with Asia, they both have to go.”

“Seriously?” Asia said like she was surprised.

“I’m dead ass serious. Y’all don’t even have to come back inside. There’s an exit right over there,” Zyra pointed right before she walked away.

Buck knew that his cousin was right, so he didn’t even put up a fuss. He could tell that his girl wanted to say something else, but she held her tongue. He wasn’t about to miss his favorite cousin’s big day, so he walked both women out and went back inside with his family.

“I’m so nervous baby,” Rylee said when Zyrian wrapped his arms around her waist.

“I’m not nervous, but I’m anxious,” Zyrian replied.

They both waited patiently as Glenda got on the mic and thanked everyone for coming and invited them to the upcoming baby shower. Rylee was six months pregnant, and her shower was in another month. That would give them plenty of time to put everything in place and have the baby’s room ready before he or she came.

“Okay everybody. The moment that we’ve all been waiting for,” Zyra yelled once she got on the mic. Glenda and her husband stood next to Zyrian and Rylee while Zyra handed her brother a knife.

“You can do it, baby,” Zyrian told Rylee.

Her hands were shaking like crazy, but she took the knife from him anyway. The room was quiet as Rylee used the knife to slice into the three-tiered dessert. She wanted to take her time, but Zyrian and everybody else was staring, trying to hurry her along. Rylee took a deep breath and slowly lifted the cake with the knife to reveal the color.

“Yes! It’s a girl. It’s pink. It’s a…” Rylee yelled as her words trailed off. She frowned when she lifted the slice of cake all the way up and saw the blue cake underneath the layer of pink. She looked over at Zyrian, and his frown was just as deep.

“See baby that’s exactly why I didn’t want Zyra’s crazy ass to be in charge of anything. What the hell is this? Are we having a girl or a boy? You play too damn much,” Zyrian yelled angrily.

“You’re having both. It’s twins!” Zyra screamed in excitement as she produced a picture of Rylee’s ultrasound.

The room erupted in cheers, but Rylee went numb. She watched as her in-laws hugged each other and wiped tears from their eyes, but she was stuck. She was already having doubts about having one baby, only to find out that she was now having two. Sara, Amber, and Susan were jumping up and down like they’d just won the lottery, but Rylee was glued in place. She looked over at Zyrian, and he looked just as shocked as she was.

“Aren’t y’all happy?” Zyra asked with a huge smile covering her face.

“Are you serious about us having two babies?” Rylee questioned just to be sure.

“Yes, look at the ultrasound. The pink dot is the girl, and the blue dot is the boy,” Zyra replied happily.

“You alright baby?” Zyrian asked when Rylee sat back down in her chair.

“Yeah, I guess I’m just in shock. That explains why my damn stomach looks like I’m ready to give birth, and I’m only six months pregnant,” she replied.

“I’m that nigga,” Zyrian bragged loudly when his cousins walked over to congratulate him. “I’m dropping babies two at a time up in this bitch.”

“That’s what’s up,” Buck smiled while giving him a one armed hug.

Rylee and Zyrian walked around and chatted with their family and friends for a while before the party came to an end. Zyra put the rest of the food and desserts in containers and walked them to their car. She was so happy to finally be rid of the secret that she’d been holding on to for weeks. When the doctor told her that Rylee and Zyrian were having twins, she must have cried for an entire hour. Words could never express how happy she really was. It was so hard to keep it to herself, but it was worth it to see the excitement on everyone’s faces.

“Less than a year and you got my last name and carrying two of my babies,” Zyrian said, kissing Rylee’s hand as he drove.

“Yeah,” Rylee said with a forced smile.

“What’s wrong? You’ve been quiet since you cut the cake.”

“I don’t know Zyrian. I guess I’m scared. Actually, I’m scared and nervous. I had doubts about having one baby. It’s doubled since I found out that we’re having two. I just want to be a good mother,” Rylee admitted.

“And I keep telling you that you will be. You had a good mother so why wouldn’t you be just as good?”

“I don’t know. I guess it’s just the fear of the unknown,” she shrugged. “But we better get ready. Since its two, I’ll probably deliver before my three months are up.”

“You know I got you, baby. These are our kids, so you don’t have to worry about doing it alone. And you know we’re going to have a lot of help if we need it.”

“Definitely,” Rylee agreed. “The good part about it is we’re both getting what we want. I’ll get my girl, and you’ll get your boy.”

“That’s the best part. And don’t go trying to have my son sleeping in no girly room either. We need to do something like football or some shit like that,” Zyrian said.

  “And what about your daughter?
” Rylee questioned.

“She can be his cheerleader,” Zyrian laughed making her laugh with him.

“No baby, we need something that fits them both. What about a prince and princess theme?” Rylee suggested.

“Yeah, I like that. That’s just what they are. My prince and princess,” Zyrian said as he drove towards their house. They had just officially moved and settled in the night before. Zyrian was happy that he would now have his wife and not one, but two babies to share it with.

  Chapter 4

“You like that rugged shit huh?” Mekhi asked as he slid in and out of his latest sexual partner.

“Yes, just like that,” she screamed as she held onto the headboard and threw it back at him.

“Like this?” He asked as he grabbed her weave and started pounding harder and faster.

“Yes!” She screamed. “Fuck me just like that.”

Mekhi aimed to please, so he gripped her hips and dug deep into her moist middle. Since he had been divorced, fucking different females every week had become a regular thing to him. Unlike when he was married to Rylee, he didn’t have to answer to anyone, and he wasn’t committed. He came and went as he pleased, and that was the best feeling in the world. His female companions got whatever time he gave them and they were free to bounce if they didn’t like it. The only one who seemed to have a problem with that was Janice. Mekhi was starting to hate being around her. She was too clingy, but she knew how to take care of a man. That was the only thing that kept Mekhi going back. Janice was the type of woman to wake her man up to a blow job, then serve him breakfast in bed right after. Shit like that boosted Mekhi’s ego, and he loved it. Sex with her wasn’t all that great, but that didn’t stop him from hitting it two to three times a week. Besides that, he and Tommy were planning to partner up on a new business venture, and he would probably need her help.

“Ah shit, tell me where you want me to put it,” Mekhi said when he felt his release building up.

“Right here,” she moaned while pointing to her plump ass.

Mekhi hurriedly pulled the condom off and unloaded everything he had in the designated area. He was out of the breath from the strenuous workout, so he collapsed on the bed soon after he released.

“You need some water baby?” Brandy asked as she stood up on her wobbly legs.

“Yeah,” Mekhi panted as he covered his face with his arm.

With a smile on her face, Brandy sauntered into the bathroom to freshen up. She was excited to have Mekhi in her bed yet again. Actually, they’d been going strong for a few months now. The same day that he ignored her outside of the bikers’ club was the same day that he went home with her. She and China were waiting outside for Kirk when Mekhi and another club member came storming out. Apparently he had been voted out as president, and he was fuming. Although China thought she was a fool, Brandy used that as her opportunity to get in good with him again. She offered to take Mekhi out for drinks, but they ended up at a motel instead. She didn’t care about what China or anyone else said. She didn’t have any regrets about pursuing him again. For the past few months, Mekhi had shown her another side of himself. They weren’t in a relationship, but they spent lots of time together. He even stayed the night at her house a few times. That was something that he would have never done in the past. He still did a lot of things that she didn’t like, but Brandy felt herself falling deeper for him each day. She wanted to see where a relationship with her and Mekhi would go, but they had never discussed it. He seemed to be happy jumping from one bed to the next and Brandy didn’t want to run him away. What started out as a casual fling, turned into her actually falling in love with him.

“Here you go,” Brandy said as she handed Mekhi an ice cold bottle of water.

“Thanks,” Mekhi said right as his phone started to ring. He looked at the screen and frowned when Janice’s number appeared. That was her third time calling within the hour, and she was getting on his damn nerves. He hadn’t seen her in two days, and he didn’t plan on seeing her that day either.

“Is that your lil ugly lawyer bitch calling?” Brandy asked as she scrunched up her face. She couldn’t believe it when China pointed Janice out to her. According to her friend, Janice was some type of legal clerk that Mekhi had been fucking. China swore that he was using her, and Brandy believed it. Janice was nowhere near Mekhi’s type. She had a nice shape, but her face was one for the books. Even with a counter full of Mac products covering it, she still wasn’t much to look at. Plus, she was older, and Mekhi just didn’t seem to be feeling her like that.

“Stop asking who’s calling my phone. That ain’t your business,” Mekhi snapped shaking her from her thoughts.

“It’s either her or that lovesick bitch Nicole,” Brandy frowned.

She knew all about Mekhi’s dealings with his ex-wife’s cousin, but she wasn’t surprised. Nicole and Brandy were a lot alike, and nobody’s man was off limits to them. Brandy still liked her, which was why she helped her get a job working as a topless bartender at the strip club that she’d been working at. After all, Nicole did try to help her get a job at MJ’s a while back. She didn’t get the job, but getting Mekhi was even better. It didn’t take long for Nicole to give up bartending and start dancing too. The money was better, and so were the tips.

“Fuck Nicole! I hope you don’t be telling that bitch what’s going on with us,” Mekhi said while glaring at her.

“No, I don’t talk to anybody about us,” Brandy swore.

“Don’t tell that messy bitch China nothing either. I don’t need her putting her family all up in my business,” Mekhi warned.

“I won’t say anything,” Brandy promised.

She hadn’t spoken to China in a few days anyway. Ever since Zyrian turned her around at his and Rylee’s reveal party, China hadn’t even tried to call her. She knew that Mekhi’s only reason for saying that was because of Rylee. That bitch had basically robbed him of his pride and manhood, and he was still worried about how she felt. Rylee was married with a baby on the way, and he still cared about what she thought.

“Pull up you Facebook page,” Mekhi requested pissing Brandy off.

“Why?” She snapped even though she already knew.

She hated when Mekhi used her Facebook and Instagram pages to stalk Rylee and her movements. Brandy was friends with China on all of her social media accounts, and Zyra had never unfriended her. Just about every time he was around her he wanted her to pull it up. He hadn’t asked her in a few days, so she thought he was over it. Apparently he wasn’t since he was asking yet again.

“Just do it and let me see your phone,” Mekhi demanded.

“Here,” Brandy said once she was logged onto her Facebook page.

She shook her head in disgust as Mekhi sat up like a kid and scrolled down her timeline. He only did that for a minute or two before he went to the top and typed in Zyra’s name. A frown covered his face almost instantly once he did. More than likely he saw something about Rylee that he didn’t like.

“Rylee is having twins?” He asked while looking over at Brandy.

“I don’t know what she’s having. I told you that her husband kicked me out the minute I arrived,” Brandy replied. She always made it a point to refer to Zyrian as Rylee’s husband because it pissed Mekhi off. His jaw clenched in anger, but he kept his eyes trained on the phone.

“That’s what it says here. She’s having a boy and a girl. That nigga gon’ leave her stupid ass stuck with two babies. Just watch and see,” Mekhi said letting his jealousy show.

“Why do you think that?” Brandy questioned.

“He just looks like the type,” he shrugged.

“Looks can be deceiving. I’ve known Zyrian for years, and that’s not his character. He never cheated on his ex-girlfriend before he got locked up. Trust me, I know. He shot me and every other woman down who came at him when they were together.”

“That was then. That nigga was locked up for five years. Rylee is a damn fool if she thi
nks he won’t dip with other bitches from time to time.”

“Zyrian is not a cheater,” Brandy said matter-of-faculty.

“You talking like you were in a relationship with the nigga or something. He fucked you and kept it moving,” Mekhi snapped in anger.

“And what’s your point? He’s still not a cheater. His sister was my best friend for years, so I know,” Brandy replied.

She knew that Mekhi’s feelings were hurt so he was trying to hurt hers too. That was nothing new to her, though. She was used to Mekhi’s verbal insults. The difference with her was that she clapped back every time.

“Damn, look at that house. Zyrian ain’t playing no games with his wife and kids,” Brandy said rubbing salt into Mekhi’s fragile wounds. She was kind of salty when she saw the house too, but not more than Mekhi. He and Rylee’s house was nice, but he could probably fit it into the one that Rylee and Zyrian lived in now. Zyra had posted well over one hundred pictures of the reveal party and their new house. And as sad as it sounded, Mekhi sat there and looked at them all. He was hurt, and he couldn’t deny it even if he wanted to. Brandy never understood why he always asked her to see shit when he knew he would be in his feelings afterwards.

“That shit ain’t all that,” Mekhi snapped as he threw her phone at her and got up. Brandy snickered under her breath as she watched his tall, sexy frame disappear into the bathroom. Mekhi was so sexy and could probably have any woman that he wanted. Why he was still so in love with Rylee was a mystery to her. He had several women that would have loved to be with him, herself included.

“Are you coming to the club to watch me dance tonight?” Brandy asked Mekhi when he walked back into her bedroom and started getting dressed.

“You know I ain’t coming nowhere around that bitch Nicole. I told you I’ll swing through when she’s off.”

“She’s never off. The bitch is broke, so she’s there every day,” Brandy frowned.

Nicole had only been dancing for a few months, but Brandy couldn’t recall one time that she took a day off. The club scene was already getting the best of her. The excessive drinking and pill popping started not even two weeks after she got her on. It was also rumored that she did a little more than she should have in the private dance rooms, but Brandy didn’t know if that was true or not. She really didn’t care either. Nicole was a grown ass woman who made her own decisions. Aside from a few private parties outside of the club, Brandy never even bothered with the private dance rooms. Niggas couldn’t keep their hands to themselves, and she didn’t need the extra hassle. The private parties got wild sometimes too, but she was always paid well if she took it to the next level with anyone. Brandy invited Nicole along a few times, but she didn’t really like to share her money.
