He kissed her as he tugged her shirt up, smoothing his hands along her stomach before unbuckling her jeans. He tore his mouth away to tug them off her hips and down her legs.

“You’re going to hurt yourself.” She ran her hands along his sides.

“I’ll live.” He yanked her jeans off and tugged her ass to the edge of the bed. He went for her shirt next, lifting her up and tugging it off her body. He leaned in to kiss the swell of her breast before pulling the cup down and taking her nipple into his mouth.

“Whoa,” she gasped, clutching his shoulders. “Calm down a minute. Let me catch my breath.”

He pulled back and stared at her. “I’m seriously going to count to sixty seconds.”

She shook her head and took off her bra, tossing it to the floor. “You’re impossible. I haven’t even had coffee yet.”

“Who the fuck needs coffee?” He stared at her while she sat there smiling at him. God he had it bad for her. One fucking day and he was losing his mind.

  “Are my sixty seconds over?”

  “Almost.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Can you say hi? Maybe tell me that you missed me. Tell me that you love me.”

“Hi. I missed you. I love you.” He hooked his fingers into her panties. “Now can I fuck you?”

She kissed him. “You’re so romantic.”

Romance was for later. Much later. Maybe next week kind of later. Right now, he needed to be inside her. He needed to feel her wrapped around him, her pussy squeezing him. She lay back on the bed and lifted her hips so he could pull her panties off. His shorts came off easily before he angled his cock against her and pushed inside.

“Wait!” She pressed against his chest. “Condom.”

“Fuck.” He moved away from her and went to her bag by the door, digging through it to find a rubber. Once he found one, he ripped it open as he walked back to her, rolling it on with a practiced motion. He moved between her legs and pushed inside her again, damn near groaning at her tightness.

Ella locked her legs around his hips, careful not to push against his side. He held her ass to him, thrusting deep. The angle had her gasping as his cock repeatedly rubbed that one little spot that made women scream. Yeah, he was fucking losing his mind inside her. He could do this for hours and never get enough. He needed her like he needed his next fucking breath. It was almost painful to think about.

Her nails dug into his thighs as she held on to him. How the hell he’d made it that long was beyond him. He’d been half ready to kidnap her from her parents’ house in the middle of the night.

Ella screamed when she came, arching up so that he fit completely inside her, surrounded by her pussy clenching around his cock. Sweat covered her body as he looked down at her. Her nipples were hard from her arousal and he leaned down to taste them. When he’d had his fill, he pulled out of her and rolled her over, lifting her ass up so that he could push his cock inside her again. His thrusts became manic, each one driving him closer to the ragged edge. Ella’s ass jiggled with his harsh movements, and he couldn’t help but clutch it harder, almost enough to cause pain.

“Ella.” He said her name, unable to stop himself as hot cum shot out of him, filling the thin rubber with its sticky essence. He wished they didn’t have the barrier. He wished that he could know what it felt like to have nothing between them.

Ryker let her go, noticing the marks on her ass from his fingers. He withdrew and bent down to kiss where his fingers had been, licking and teasing before he moved to her side.

Ella curled up on her stomach with her eyes closed. “That was wild.”

He didn’t say anything. So much emotion rolled through him that words seemed stupid. He needed her. It seemed ridiculous, but he needed the closeness that they shared. The intimacy of being with her.

“I need some coffee.” She giggled and reached out to him, leaning in to kiss his cheek before moving away.

“Wait.” He pulled her back to him. “I love you. I’m sorry that that was a little rough.”

“You’re amazing.” She kissed his cheek, moving upward toward his ear. “And I like it rough.”

  “You’re killing me, Ella.”

“And you’ll die a happy man.” She walked toward the kitchen. “I’m working in poison control today. And since it’s day seven, you’re off the hook for staying in bed all day. You can go do whatever mischief you do with your friends.”

He sat up and pulled the condom off. “Good. I need a fucking haircut.”

He got up and threw the condom away before walking up behind her in the kitchen. He cupped her breasts as he leaned in to kiss the soft skin of her neck.

“What is that coconut scent you wear?”

  “Lotion.”

“It makes me want to fucking eat you.”

She smiled, waiting on her coffee. “Please don’t do that.”

He kissed her cheek and rested his chin on her shoulder. “Why aren’t you on the pill?”

“How do you know I’m not?” She glanced over her shoulder.

  “Because we use condoms.”

She pulled away from him. “We use condoms because you’ve had unprotected sex with other people and haven’t been tested for STDs.”

He leaned against the counter. “You think I have an STD?”

“Not necessarily. I just don’t know. When you have sex with someone, you sleep with all their prior partners as well. Plus, you used to do drugs. That puts you as a high-risk sexual partner.”

Ryker scoffed, trying not to be offended. He knew how it looked. He had fucked several women without protection. Licking his lips, he thought about all the decisions he’d made. Hell, he’d made so many bad ones in his lifetime. So many regrets.

“If I get tested will that make things better for us? I’m not fucking anyone but you.”

“You don’t want to use condoms?”

“No.” He didn’t mean to pout, but it came out that way. He rubbed a hand over his face. “It’s simple, right? I don’t have to stay or anything?”

She glanced over at him. “You act like it’s the end of the world. But to answer your question, it’s virtually painless, not to mention responsible adult behavior for someone that is sexually active and having unprotected sex with multiple partners.”

She poured herself a mug of coffee. “You’ve had sex with women that have had sex with other men. The club shares them unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It’s responsible to use condoms and get tested.”

“Okay, okay.” He took her coffee and sipped. “Can you do it today?”

  She frowned. “Yes.”

“Good. Let’s do it. How long for the results?”

  “Usually a week or two.”

He sagged against the counter. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“You’re pouting like an overgrown child, you know that?” She sipped her coffee.

“You’re seriously going to force me to wear those damn things for two more weeks?” He folded his arms over his chest. “I’ve never had a woman make this big of a fuss over using a condom.”

He’d never had a woman tell him no before. Never really thought about the consequences of his actions all that much either. Sex was always something he did. He was high enough in the ranks of the club that women begged him to fuck them, and when he did, none of that stuff really mattered. The fact that Ella brought it up was slightly embarrassing. Every horror image shown in health class flashed through his mind. She was right. He needed to have been more responsible.

She arched an eyebrow. “You want to take sex off the table completely?”

He didn’t. God, he could barely control himself around her. It fucking sucked, but what could he really do? He was starting to understand what his grandfather had always told him. Women had power over men. The men fucking gave it to them without really even noticing. And the women usually got their way.

Ryker knew he could end it if he wanted. He could go to the club and fuck th
e first chick he saw. He may even be able to do it without Ella knowing. But that wasn’t even remotely what he wanted. He wanted her. She had power over him and he was helpless to stop it.

Breaking up with Ella was not an option.

  “You fight dirty.”

“And I always win.” She gripped his cheeks and pulled him to her for a kiss.

He held her, wrapping his arms around her body. “I fucking love you too much for it to be any other way.”

She set her coffee down and wound her arms around his neck. “For what it’s worth, I missed you last night. I just about froze to death sleeping by myself. I missed your warmth.”

He smoothed his hands along her back. “I live to keep you warm at night.”

“Shut up.” She laughed. “You’re impossible this morning.”

“I missed you too. Who else is going to press their cold feet against my ass?”

She shook her head. “That’s mean.”

“Nah. Being mean is telling you not to.” He lifted her so that she sat on the counter and moved between her legs. He knelt down so that he could lick her pussy. “But I’m crazy, stupid in love with you, and I think you know you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want to me. I’m not going to tell you no.”

After Ryker went to the clinic, he left to get a haircut, then met the guys at the drug warehouse on the outskirts of the city. It felt good to be back on his bike again. The hum of the engine beneath him while the wind blew in his face was as close to paradise as he’d ever get.

They made their drop and he went along with Superman and Vampire to find Razor. The last time they’d heard, he was in New Orleans. Knowing his father, though, he bounced around from charter to charter to gain acceptance and approval should Ryker be alive and come after him. But Ryker had a strong feeling he thought the club had turned against him. They were supposed to be a team, the two of them. The look in his father’s eyes when Ryker had pushed the knife into himself had told him that he’d won, had proven that even Razor hadn’t prepared for that alternative. He hadn’t dreamed of his son choosing a woman over the club. His blood was on Razor’s knife.

  And now Razor was scared.

Not only did Ella know what happened, she’d lived to tell about it. And the biggest threat to them was her close relationship with her daddy. So much incriminated Razor to the point he had to think that the cops were all over the situation. A dead body. Ella’s father being one of the key players in taking down the Roaming Devils. God knew the man protected his only daughter. He’d definitely go after Razor for kidnapping and threatening to kill Ella.

Not to mention, the Atlanta chapter was the original that the founders had started. It was the charter that ruled all the other charters across the country. If it was okay for Atlanta, it was okay for everyone else.

Razor had fucked up royally and he knew it.

Ryker tried his best to keep his temper in check. Ella had taken out the stitches in his side from the first knife wound but the staples still remained. He and the guys went along with two prospects and two other members that could be trusted. When Ryker finally got the president title, he needed to do some house cleaning of the members that still remained. There were definitely a few that he thought were shady.

The seven-hour trip was easy enough. He pulled off near Montgomery to get something to eat and call Ella.

“Hey,” he glanced around the outside of the restaurant, “I probably won’t be coming home tonight. Some club business came up out of town and I need to handle it.”

  “Where are you?”

“I can’t say. Don’t worry, though. I’ll be back sometime in the morning or maybe mid-afternoon.”

She didn’t say anything, which was exactly the response he’d expected. Ella was a worrier.

“Hey,” he continued, “when I get back, maybe we can go on a weekend getaway or something. Rent a room at a bed and breakfast in Savannah.”

  “I have to work.”

“Yeah, but you get vacation days, right?”

“Yes.” She didn’t say anything for a moment. “Why do I think you’re doing something stupid.”

“Because you think everything I do is stupid.” He glanced over at Vampire, who had come back from the restroom. “I’m just trying to make up for the two nights we won’t sleep together.”

  “Nice try.”

“I love you, Ella. You’re my dream girl.”

“Now I know you’re really up to something bad. Probably illegal too.”

“I gotta go.” He watched as the guys filed out of the restaurant. “Think about it. I’ll call you sometime tonight.”

He hung up and pocketed his phone.

“You’re fucking pussy-whipped.” Rooster shook his head. “There is no way I would ever call a girl in a parking lot and make plans for a getaway vacation. Fuck me. What has happened to you?”

Ryker took a deep breath. He didn’t know. When he thought of Ella, most everything else ceased to exist. He wanted to spend his time trapped in his own little world with her.

“She’s changing you, man. You’re going soft.”

Before Rooster knew what hit him, Ryker jerked him off his bike and shoved him to the ground, putting a big boot on his chest. He stared down at the prospect and pulled his knife out. Rooster glanced over at the others, desperately seeking assistance.

“I don’t really think I’m all that soft.” He rubbed the flat part of the knife along Rooster’s jaw. The man quivered, sweat dotting his forehead. “I could slice your throat right now and nobody would even notice.”

Rooster’s Adam’s apple bobbled. “You’re not going to do that.”

“You sure?” He tilted the knife so the very edge pricked his skin. “Don’t ever underestimate me. Just because I have a woman I love does not mean that I’m in any way, shape, or form soft. I grew up in this club. I’m just as deadly as my father, though not quite as impulsive. Don’t ever make the mistake of saying I’m soft again.”

He let the man up and put his knife back in its sleeve. “Let’s go. We need to get there before dark.”

Superman pulled his sunglasses on. “I hope he doesn’t try to skip. He’s pretty damn antsy.”

“He’ll be there.” Ryker pulled on his sunglasses. His father couldn’t hide forever from the club he supposedly loved.

The ride to New Orleans was mostly uneventful. The club was on the east portion of the city and they rode straight there. Ryker had called ahead before he left Atlanta to make sure the president of the chapter knew to expect them. He had a conversation about what went down in the club and how Razor had invited trouble with the cops to their door by kidnapping and threatening to kill Ella. The president sided with him fairly easily and promised to keep Razor entertained until they got there.

Ryker rolled to a stop outside the clubhouse, with his crew following suit beside him. The van was the last to pull in, and he’d already dismounted his bike by the time they got out of the vehicle.

The club was simple on the outside so it didn’t draw too much attention to what was on the inside. The big burly man standing by the door took one look at them and saluted Ryker before holding the door open for him and granting him entrance to the club.

A woman Ryker knew came toward him, smiling as she recognized him from across the room. A while back, Rizzo, the president of the New Orleans chapter, gave Ryker her company for the length of his visit. He couldn’t help smiling at the memory.

“Well, look what the cat dragged in.” She leaned up to kiss his cheek. “It’s good to see you, Ryker. You look sexier than ever.”

Her blonde hair and blue eyes were enough to draw attention to her from any man around the room, but the tight little t-shirt that covered her large, natural breasts was what got her the most attention. That and the little black skirt she wore. He smiled at her while she ran her fingers along his arm. They’d had some fun times together.

“Yeah, uh,” he glanced behind him,
guys, this is Beth. Beth, this is my crew.”

She gave them a sultry smile and one of the prospects blushed. Ryker laughed. The club was dimly lit and gave the impression that no one was around. Ryker knew better than that. The front room was usually for show and tell if the police came knocking. Deeper into the club was where the heart of the party was.

  “Is Rizzo around?”

“Sure.” She smoothed her hand along his chest.

Beth held his gaze for what felt like minutes before Vampire coughed, “Ella.”

Ella. Ryker lifted Beth’s hand and kissed it. There was nothing between them and whatever had happened in the past wouldn’t happen again. But he couldn’t exactly erase his sexual history just because he was in a relationship with Ella. Things had happened. Plenty was good. Beth was great.

Ryker dropped her hand and glanced over at Vampire. “Subtle.”

  Vampire shrugged.

Beth glanced between them before saying, “Follow me, boys.”

She led them deeper into the club. Ryker wasn’t sure what he wanted to do with his father. An dispute between club members resulted in the two handling it themselves. One man didn’t run from the other like the pussy his father was. He was still fairly sure that Razor thought he was dead.

When they got to the main party room, Ryker spotted his father immediately, sitting next to Rizzo. He was smoking weed and laughing at something one of the women said to him. Ryker stalked toward him, getting close enough that when his father looked up, his eyes nearly popped out of his head.

“Surprised to see me?” Ryker asked before he swung his fist at Razor’s face. Vampire and Superman got Sonny, and the two prospects got the other chapter member that had come with them. Razor spit blood to the side, staring up at his son.

“So the doctor saved your life.”

“Did you think she wouldn’t?” Ryker gripped Razor’s cut and dragged him up from the seat. “No murder charge for you, so you can come back to Atlanta where you belong.”

There were a few rules that the MC followed. The president was the highest ranking member and, generally speaking, he had the ultimate authority. While Ryker was now VP, his beef with his father was something that created club tension. They were divided, and Rizzo’s club knew it. The leadership had faltered and only one would be left standing.
