He pulls my head away from his throbbing manhood and it drips with my lust.
I breathe deep and slow as Bryce lifts me up by the hand. He gives me a quick kiss and then grabs my hips and flips me around.
I bend over the hood of his car and stick my ass out for him. He smacks my cheeks and a small tinge of the most pleasurable pain ripples up from my backside. I whimper into the night and Bryce enters into me.
Chapter 59
Bryce
I groan as I slide inside of her.
Her big, rippling ass cheeks close in around my girth as I sink deeper and deeper into her plump flesh.
I thrust my pelvis against her thickness and her toes curl.
She’s so hot...
I feel a primal snarl overcome my lips. I sneer in concentration as I slide backwards until I’m nearly out of Sandy’s steamy grip, then I pound back inside of her with all my strength. She cries onto into the night and her nails dig into the hood of my car. I smile. I can buff that out.
I repeat my slow, deep thrusts. I feel wave after wave of lustful satisfaction wash over me each time I pound into Sandy’s thick cheeks.
She clenches around me and starts to subtly sway her hips. Her thickness is too powerful, I want this to last forever but I can’t control myself anymore.
I collapse down close to her ear.
“I’m close...” I pant.
“You can finish inside of me...” she sighs back.
I nibble on her earlobe and she bends her hips in the most rapturous circle.
I explode.
Wave after wave of ecstatic pleasure bursts out of me and into her. I hold onto Sandy’s hips like a race car driver, trying to steer straight, as her thighs start to quiver around me.
I give her every last bit of myself, and when I’m done, I don’t leave. I hold onto Sandy’s warm, throbbing body as we both gather ourselves. I feel more satisfied than I ever have after any game.
Slowly, we slide apart.
“That was amazing...” Sandy sighs, as she picks up her carelessly discarded clothes from my driveway.
“You’re amazing,” I respond, unable to turn my gaze away from her naked body. I watch as she covers herself up again.
I sigh, missing her bare body already.
“Let’s have that private dinner of ours,” I say, when my clothes are finally back on. I reach out my hand to Sandy, but she seems hesitant to take it.
“I... I’ve never done anything like this before... I just want you to know I’m not the type of girl who...”
I smile and step towards her. She’s so small compared to me. Her lips barely reach the bottom of my shoulders. I wrap my arms around her curvy little body. The warmth that exudes from her makes me want to be a better man.
“I’ve never done anything quite like this either... I guess we just turn each other crazy.”
I breathe a sigh of relief when Sandy giggles and buries her head in my chest. We’re right where I want us to be.
“I should go home...” she whispers.
“No. You’re staying here,” I command.
“I want to...”
“Then you will.”
Chapter 60
Sandy
I don’t want to go home.
I want to melt into Bryce’s arms and sink into his bed, and I know he wants me to do the same, but I can’t just uproot my life so quickly.
So much has been happening in the past few weeks that I feel guilty for ignoring my problems for as long as I have been.
I only let Allison drag me along to Bryce’s game in the first place because she convinced me that I needed a break from all my troubles. I agreed, but still, it was hard to forget.
Bryce made me forget.
He made me forget that my last living relative, my Aunt Julie, had passed away last month. He made me forget that I was all alone in the world. He made me forget that my neighbourhood has been experiencing a wave of burglaries over the past few weeks. He made me forget that I was scared. He made me forget about all the crushes I’ve ever had on all the men who never wanted anything to do with me. He made me forget that I was unloved.
I feel complete with him. It’s crazy. We’ve only just met; only just fucked, but I somehow know in my heart of hearts that he’s the man for me.
Is this love?
“Let’s eat,” he says. I feel his strong pull guide me inside.
I look up at his giant house and feel so unworthy of his affection. What have I done to deserve this kind of man? I can’t help but pull back.
“What’s the matter, baby?” he asks. His big, calloused fingers caress my palm. I feel so safe with him...
I just want to leave my old life behind and walk into the calming orange glow of Bryce’s luxurious life, but there’s something tugging at me...
“It’s just... it’s late and there’s been a string of robberies in my neighbourhood lately... there are things at my place I don’t want to leave alone... I didn’t think I’d be out so late tonight...”
I look down at my feet. I’m not making any sense. I feel ashamed of my hesitancy.
“What kind of things?” asks Bryce.
“... Memories...” I mumble.
I feel Bryce’s hand gently pinch my chin. He lifts my gaze off the floor and up to him.
“No one can steal your memories,” he assures me.
He kisses me and I feel guilty for burdening him with my problems.
“People can steal these memories. I... I never really knew my parents, but my Aunt passed away recently. She left me new memories of my parents... a locket... I shouldn’t have left it alone in the first place, but I was just so stressed out that I’d have done anything to get out of my room. I don’t know if I could ever forgive myself if something happened to it. Then my parents would truly be lost forever...”
Bryce holds me by the chin and gazes deep into my soul. I see conflict behind his eyes, like he wants to tell me something he’s never told anyone before.
“I understand...” he says, finally. “Let’s go get your memories.”
Chapter 61
Bryce
I used to live in a neighbourhood like this.
It feels like another life, but the truth is, it wasn’t that long ago.
I park outside Sandy’s ragged building and stare out onto the dark street.
I don’t have pleasant memories of being poor... or of being young and alone. I just want to whisk the both of us back to my dream life, but I know how important memories can be, especially those of which you inherit.
I get out of the car. Sandy hesitates; I open the passenger door for her and accompany her inside.
The place feels seedy... and so familiar. It’s been a long day, but my senses are turned up to 11. I’m Sandy’s bodyguard. Her safety’s in my hands.
We wait for the elevator in tense silence.
“I’m sorry for making you come here. I’m sure you want nothing to do with a place like this. It’s so depressing compared to your life,” Sandy says as the elevator doors open.
We step inside.
“Compared to my life now,” I clarify. “I used to be in a spot just like this. I don’t miss it, but I do still value some of the memories.”
Sandy hits the button for her floor and the elevator doors close. We begin our ascend.
“You had a way out, though,” says Sandy. “Baseball. I don’t feel like there’s any escape for me...”
I’m shocked. Has tonight not meant anything to her? Maybe I’m just not being clear enough...
“Hey, don’t say that,” I tell her, more sternly than I might have liked. “You have me. I’m going to get you out of this place. We’re going to raid your apartment tonight – we’re going to pack up everything you think you need – because you’re never coming back to this place. You have a home with me.”
“Oh, Bryce...”
The elevator doors open and I take Sandy’s hand. She leads me out into the dingy hall. Florescent l
ights flicker unpleasantly ahead. The muffled sounds of TVs and private conversations line the thin walls.
I don’t like it here... there’s no way I’ll ever let Sandy come back.
I’m tense. I tighten my grip around Sandy’s soft hand. She doesn’t seem as uptight as I am. I guess she’s just used to all this...
The thought makes me sad.
I was used to all this too, back when I didn’t think there was a way out, but now I know better. There’s a new life waiting for the both of us on the other side of this town. We just have to get there.
We walk down the dingy hall and I hear the sound of a door open from far behind us.
We keep walking.... until a shout makes us both nearly jump out of our skin.
“Oh my God!” yells a voice from the other end of the hall. It’s loud and shrill and full of energy.
I flinch and flip around, ready for confrontation.
A child, probably no older the 12, stands outside of a half-open apartment door with a garbage bag in his hand.
His eyes sparkle with recognition...
He’s no robber... he’s just a little fan.
“Are you Bryce Stryker?” he asks. His voice is filled with wonder. I can’t help but smile.
I nod. “Yes, sir.”
“What are you doing here!?” he asks, like he can hardly believe I’m real.
I chuckle. The tension slowly eases from my muscles. Young fans always make me feel better. They’re always so full of hope.
I look down at Sandy. She’s wiping sweat off her forehead like she had been fearing the worst too.
“Just picking something up...” I smile.
The kid rolls his eyes. “I hope no one stole it already. This place is a dump.... Hey, can I get your autograph?”
I look down at Sandy. She smiles and nods up at me. “I’ll go open up,” she whispers.
She jumps up onto her tiptoes and kisses my cheek. I let her hand slip from mine as she turns back around.
I don’t like this sudden new reality of not touching her, but I can’t disappoint a young fan. I feel my pockets for a sharpie. I usually have one on me. Tonight’s no exception. I pull out the pen and walk over to the excited young man.
“What would you like me to sign?”
The kid looks desperately around, like he hadn’t quite thought things through yet.
“Uh, what about my shirt?” he asks, finally.
I just chuckle. “Sure thing, buddy. Here, turn around.”
I bend down and write a message on his shirt, right by his shoulder blade. Never stop dreaming. You’re friend, Bryce Stryker.
Just as I finish, I hear Sandy’s voice cry out from the far end of the hall.
“No! Stop! Please!” she yells, desperately.
Dread fills my chest as I whip around in time to see two men in ski masks rush into the open elevator.
Chapter 62
Sandy
My doorknob lies on the floor.
I stand, frozen in shock, outside of my apartment. Bryce pounds on the closed elevator doors. He’d ran towards the men as soon as he heard me scream, but there was too much distance to cover in too little time. By the time he got to the elevator, the doors were already closed.
I watch as he realizes there’s no catching up to the men unless he finds an alternate way down to the main floor. He searches desperately for a stairwell before running towards me.
His big hands grab my frozen shoulders. I began to thaw at his warm touch. I shiver awake.
“Where’s the stairwell!?” he asks, frantically. “Those men had your stuff in their hands. I don’t know what they stole, but I’m getting it back for you. I promise.”
“There’s no stairwell...” I mutter.
“What!?” he exclaims, completely shocked.
“I mean, there is, but it’s out of service. There was water damage or something. I don’t know. All I know is apparently there’s entire floors that can’t be accessed by the stairs... and this floor’s one of them,” I explain.
I see an anger burn in Bryce’s beautiful eyes. “What the fuck!? How is that even legal!? They can’t treat people like this!”
He looks around for a solution. The door to my apartment is half open and dark inside. Bryce pushes his way in. I follow.
I flick on my lights and see that my place is ransacked.
What did these goons take? How much can you really make robbing people in this neighbourhood? We already have so little...
My eyes go wide as I see the trail of destruction leading to my bedroom.
Oh God, please no...
I rush to my room as Bryce opens up the door to my balcony.
I freeze in the doorway when I see the drawers to my bedside table strewn across the floor...
They’re empty... those thieves have taken my parents’ locket and all my memories... how could they...?
“Sandy!” I hear Bryce yell from back in the living room.
I shake my head and go to him.
“Is there any way out of here other than the front entrance?” he asks.
The door to my balcony is open. I shake my head.
“No. The creepy landlord keeps the trash bins right outside the backdoor. We’ve tried to get him to move them, but he always says it will cost too much... God damn, this whole place is one giant safety hazard...”
“So, the burglars can only escape through the front door?” he asks.
I nod.
Bryce marches over to my couch. One of the only untouched items in the whole apartment is my shitty plastic lamp.
“Do you like this lamp?” he asks, as he tears the chord out.
“Not particularly, why?”
“Do you mind if I break it?”
I furrow my brow in confusion. My place is already a mess, why would Bryce want to add to it?
“... I guess not...”
With that, Bryce walks into my kitchen. I hear the clanging of pots and pans. Before I can investigate, Bryce marches out towards the open balcony door with an armful of kitchen appliances.
I follow him. He places my lamp and the pots and pans he’s gathered on the ground and then starts stretching out his right arm... his pitching arm.
What is he doing...?
It finally hits me. He’s warming up. He’s going to try and strike those thieves down the only he knows how, with a throw.
Chapter 63
Bryce
“Call the police,” I order, as I size up Sandy’s lamp.
It’s a little big, but I should be able to put some torque into it. All I need to do is stun these guys long enough for the cops to show up.
Sandy takes her phone and dials 911. I scan the street below. Everything’s quiet; no one’s out this late at night. Good. I won’t have to worry about hitting anyone else. I line the pots and pans I’ve looted from Sandy’s kitchen along the balcony like ammo for my machine gun arm.
Sandy goes inside when her call connects. I can hear her explaining our situation to the emergency operator. I palm her little lamp and wait. I know there’s two burglars, so I line up a pan just to my right. I’m going to have to throw in rapid fire succession if I want to get both of them before they can get too far away.
It’s a good thing Sandy’s apartment isn’t so far off the ground. If we were any higher, I wouldn’t be able to put any aim into my throws, I’d just have to drop my objects and hope they hit. I have no confidence in my dropping ability, but I have all the confidence in the world in my throwing ability.
My ability to throw has made me millions of dollars, launched me out of obscurity and poverty, found me the girl of my dreams, and now it’s going to get her stuff back.
Dirty thieves...
I think about how vile someone would have to be to steal from a neighbourhood like this. These people are just struggling to get by. Any dent in their livelihood could send them into a pit they might never be able to get out from. There’s a kid just down the hall...
My a
nger peaks at just the right moment. Through the quiet summer night, I hear the front doors to Sandy’s apartment barge open. Two masked thieves stumble out onto the sidewalk. I snarl and wind up.
Fuck these assholes...
I lift my leg and take aim, then I throw Sandy’s little lamp as hard as I can at the closest burglar. I watch it fly through the air like a cannon ball... until it shatters against his cranium. It explodes into a million pieces and the masked man collapses like he was just hit by a prize fighter. His friend jumps in shock. He sees his buddy completely knocked out on the ground and looks around frantically, trying to find the source of the attack. I quickly grab my next projectile, a pan.
I take aim, just before I’m about to throw, though, I see the man rip something out of his pants...
Oh shit, is that a gun!?
I hesitate for a moment. I’ve thrown in some high-pressure situations before, but never has my life been so on the line. That hesitation is enough to send my pan flying just enough off course that I’m worried I might not hit my intended target. I watch nervously as the black pan disappears into the darkness between Sandy’s apartment lights and the street-lamps below.
Everything moves in slow motion. I watch with bated breath as the pan reappears and hit the burglar right in his outstretched hand.
“What the fuck!” I hear him yell. His voice is jittery and fractured. He must be a junky...
His gun careens from his grip and down onto the pavement of the sidewalk.
Shit, I missed his head...
The junky looks up. Our eyes meet.
“You motherfucker!” He yells. His voice is filled with rage. I hear police sirens in the distance. I can’t let him get away.
He turns his attention to his gun, which lays on the sidewalk some 10 feet away.
