The Gangsta That Stole My Heart

  “I don’t know,” he mumbled.

I grabbed the gold choker. “If it’s not late, I’ll see if he wants to stop by the bar.” After clasping the necklace, I grabbed my bamboo earrings. “I’ma do red lipstick.” I said to myself as I put them on. “And bring a jean jacket ‘cause I know it’ll get colder.”

  “I’m out.” True approached me.

Securing my earrings, I looked up at him. “Okay. Be safe.”

True kissed me on my forehead. “Yeah, a’ight.”

“Oh, and lock my door back, please,” I called over my shoulder before I went back into the bathroom to pull my hair up into a messy bun.

  True

Leaning against my ride, my eyes searched the crowd. After leaving Chance’s spot, I hit up my bar, but I ended up in the hood with my guys. Everybody was in the parking lot of an abandoned car wash. The lot was full of dope boys and their whips and money-hungry-ass bitches. I tossed my head up at Royal and locked B’s when he approached me. His boy, Waylon, tossed his chin up.

  “Wassup, True?”

“‘Sup?” I nodded and looked over at Nisha. “Go find something to do.”

  She frowned. “What?”

I faced forward, and she stormed off with an attitude. My eyes skimmed the lot again. Half the crowd was surrounding a Chevy doing donuts with Mac Dre bumping from its stereo. The niggas I’d come with stayed back in the cut shooting dice.

This is what we did. Whenever the weather got nice, muthafuckas couldn’t wait to show off their rides and shit. My gaze found Nisha. She was so busy talking to one of her raggedy-ass friends that she almost got hit by a car trying to back out. I shook my head at her air-head ass.

I took a sip from my cup, still scoping the scene. Some would say I had a lean addiction. And in return, I would say they didn’t need to worry about what the fuck I had going on. After committing the crimes I had and seeing the shit I had, I need something to balance me out. I wouldn’t call it an addiction, more so a getaway.

“There go Chance!” Ava’s drunk ass yelled. “Chance!” she called louder.

My eyes shot from her to across the parking lot. Chance strutted in our direction, stopping to talk to some of the homies along the way. Even though my Jelly was a straight square, the hood fucked with her. She was one of us. At one point, she had slummed it out just like the rest of us.

The only difference with Chance was she didn’t let it take her innocence. She was positive as fuck. She always smiled and had something kind to say about everybody. Her energy was magnetic as fuck. You were sort of just drawn to her. She was pretty too with a soft almond complexion, deep dimples, and a body curvy as fuck.

Chance was thick thick. Girl had juicy thighs, a phat ass, and perky-ass titties. She’d lost a bunch of weight, so she complained about her stretch marks, but they made her that much doper. Her teeth were perfect—white and straight. When she smiled, her eyes shined bright. And she was smart as fuck.

My best friend was rare, so rare that I didn’t like sharing her time and attention. Truth be told, the only people I was comfortable with getting her attention besides me, were my seeds. That was why I didn’t understand why she was out with this Rel nigga. He didn’t look like a square, but I could spot a fake a mile away.

Chance approached me, grinning. “Hey.” She stepped close for a hug.

Pulling her into my arms, I held her tightly and then glanced at Rel. “Wassup?” I looked down at Chance. Her eyes were glossy.

She stepped back. “True, this is Rel.” Chance faced Rel, smiling. “Rel, this is my best friend, True.” Her eyes landed on me again.

My eyes skipped around the crowd.

“Nice to finally meet you, man.” He nodded. “Chance told me you’re like her brother.”

Frowning, I looked back down at Chance. “Why you lie to this man?”

  She sighed. “True...”

“Did I say something wrong?” Rel stepped closer to Chance.

My eyes stayed on Jelly. “I ain’t shit like one of your punk-ass brothers.” I licked my lips.

  Chance rolled her eyes.

“Chance, I’m glad you came, yo,” Ava spoke up, saving Rel.

“Av, this is my friend, Rel.” Chance’s gaze shied away from mine. “Rel, this is my sister, Ava.”

  Ava nodded.

“Nice to me you.” He smiled at Ava.

“Who you?” Ro stood behind Ava and wrapped his arms around her.

Chance smiled. “This is Rel. Rel, this is Roman.”

Ro chuckled. “True, you see this shit?”

“Here we go.” Ava shook her head.

I scanned the crowed again. “Yeah, I see it.”

  “See what?” Rel mugged Roman.

“Who this?” Drake came up from behind Chance and Rel. “Who you?”

  Chance sighed.

Rel turned around. “I’m Chances’ people.” He stuck his chest out and Drake chuckled.

“How you her people and we don’t know you?” Ro asked.

“Roman...” Ava pulled him away. “You talk about me, but look at you.” She led him back to the craps game.

Rel faced me again. “Did I do something?”

“Of course, not.” Chance stared at me.

  I grilled her ass back.

“Baby, give me some money to go to the liquor store before they close,” Nisha approached us with her hand out.

I mugged her. “It’s something to drink in the car.”

She rolled her eyes and then found a spot at my side with her arms folded.

Chance forced a smile in her direction and then looked back up at me. “We’re not staying long.” She grabbed Rel’s hand and I clenched my jaws. They walked off and I sipped from my cup again.

“So, Chance finally got her a man.” Nisha clapped her hands. “‘Bout fuckin’ time.”

  Now what?

  Chance

  “Can I come up?”

“I was actually just going to bed.” After unbuckling my seatbelt, I knelt down for my purse.

Rel rested his arm on the headrest of my seat. “You sure?” He licked his lips.

  I nodded. “Positive.”

  He sighed.

“Call me when you make it home, okay?” I opened my door. “You’ve been drinking, so please drive the speed limit.”

“Just let me spend the night.” Rel cut his car off. “Everything is already blurry.”

  “Rel...”

“Chance, c’mon.” He poked his bottom lip out, causing me to giggle. “You would really make me drive when I can’t even see?”

After getting out of his truck, I fixed the waist ban on my jeans. “Okay, let’s go.”

Rel smiled and quickly got out of the car.

Since my loft was being renovated, I was renting a townhouse in Overland Park. I couldn’t wait to get back to Downtown Kansas City. Overland Park was nice and upscale, but I was more comfortable on the Missouri side. It was closer to everybody and everything I was familiar with.

We made it inside and I secured the lock and chain on the door.

“I can’t wait to get you naked.” Rel led the way up the stairs.

Giggling at how drunk he was, I followed. “You need to get some sleep. You can barely walk.”

Rel shook his head no. “No, what I need is some pussy.” He chuckled.

I frowned. Rel had never talked like that before. He was usually more poised with his words.

“Thick ass… Aye, Chance you a bad lil’ chick.” He laughed. “A lil’ gullible, but you’re fine.”

We made it to the top of the stairs and he threw up.

  Great...

Sighing, I stepped around him. “Are you okay?” I rubbed his back.

  “Mmhmm...” he mumbled, coughing.

“C’mon.” I lifted him slowly. “Let me help you.”

He draped his arm around my shoulders. “I appreciate you being here.” Rel kissed my cheek. “You’re the best, Chance. I can
’t wait to get you out of those clothes.”

“Rel...” I pinched my nose closed. His breath smelled so bad that I wanted to drown him in Listerine. “You need to lie down.”

He kissed my cheek again. “You so soft.” He then grabbed a handful of my ass. “Can I feel you without a rubber?”

I ignored him as we entered my room. I led Rel to the bed and then laid him down. He sprawled across the bed on his stomach with his arms and legs spread out wide. Smacking my lips, I stripped out my clothes to take a shower.

When I got out of the shower, Rel was still in a drunken slumber. Not bothering to put any underwear on, I slipped on True’s high school football jersey. I stuffed my feet into my colorful faux fur house shoes and left the room. I was still a little tipsy, and high from the blunt I had smoked with Ava, so it was no surprise the junk cabinet in my kitchen was calling my name. After rummaging through Chase and Chasity’s snacks, I ended up at my kitchen island with Gummy Worms and a Kool-Aid Jammer.

  “Aye!”

I frowned when I heard True’s voice. Hopping off the stool, I grabbed the candy and headed for the front of my home. As I approached the door, I noticed True was trying to unhook the chain. Shaking my head, I helped him out and stepped back. He pushed the door open.

“What are you doing here?” I spun back around.

“Since when did you start questioning why I come to the crib.”

Leading the way back to the kitchen, I stuffed my mouth with candy. “True, it’s late. I know you aren’t sober. I told you I don’t like you driving like that.”

“Nigga wouldn’t have to drive if you woulda stayed,” he mumbled. “That lame here?”

I nodded. True had already known the answer to that question. I’m sure he’d seen Rel’s car out front. “So, please be courteous. He’s sick.” Rolling my eyes, I sat down. “That’s why I have to clean up, but I’m not ready to ruin my buzz yet.”

If it was my throw up, hell if it was Trues, I wouldn’t even care. But Rel and I weren’t that cool for me to be cleaning up after him.

“Fuck that nigga.” True approached me. “I don’t even know why you fuckin’ wit’ a lame when you surrounded by real niggas.”

I sipped from my Kool-Aid Jammer. “True, he had a little too much to drink. Quit acting like you haven’t been so wasted I had to drive you home.”

He shook his head and stood between my legs. Taken aback by that action, I pulled the front of my jersey down so my vagina wasn’t exposed.

“So, you comparing that nigga to me?” True licked his lips and then eyed me.

I shook my head. “Of course, not.” Rel and True on the same level? Never.

When True grabbed my hips and then ran his hands across the sides of my ass, I looked at him funny.

  “True...”

  He kissed my lips. “Wassup?”

“What are you doing?” I pressed my palms against this chest.

True stepped closer. “Let me taste it.”

“What?” I frowned. “True, you’re drunk. Stop.” I pushed him away from me and got down from my stool. “Come lay down.”

I sat the bag of Gummy Worms and my juice down. “Come on so I can get you situated and then clean up that mess.”

“Nah.” He grabbed me by my forearm. “Let me rap wit’ you.” True picked me up effortlessly and then sat me on the counter.

“True...” I whined. My pussy was getting hot. “Let’s go lay down.” Did I say hot? I meant wet as hell. I’d never seen True look at me like this. “You’re drunk.”

“So?” He kissed my neck. “I just wanna taste it, Jelly.”

  True

Chance had an unsure look in her eyes. I gripped her face and brought her lips to mine. “You fucked that nigga today?”

  She shook her head no.

Raising the jersey over her ass, I pulled her to the edge of the counter. She smelled good as fuck. Her pussy was bald too just like I had imagined. It was phat too. I laid Chance onto her back gently and widened the gap between her legs.

“True...” she said sighed in a shaky tone. “What—"

  “You trust me?”

“You know I do.” Resting on her elbows she stared down at me.

I ran my tongue up and down her clit slowly and she shivered. “Then shut up.”

Chance bit down on the corner of her lip. Her freaky ass liked that rough shit. She was timid, but my best friend had a little beast in her.

  “Mmm...” Her head fell back.

Chance tasted just like her personality—sweet. She had the perfect pussy. If the outside was this perfect, I couldn’t imagine what the inside felt like. My dick bricked just thinking about it. Pushing her thighs back further, I sucked down gently on her clit.

  “True...” she moaned. “Right there.”

“Mmm...” I groaned. A nigga wanted Chance to get hers from head, but I had to feel her. Still eating her pussy, I unbuckled my belt and pushed my briefs and jeans down. Sticking my finger in her, I played with her G-spot until she squirmed and then bucked a little.

  “True...”

I slid my finger out and helped her off the island. Turning Chance around, I gripped the back of her neck and her waist. Biting down on my bottom lip, I let my dick find her opening on its own. I felt the heat first, and then my dick gravitated into her pussy. When I slipped in, I gripped the back of her neck tighter and pulled her head back.

  “Shit...” She shivered. “Damn, True.”

I looked down to watch her ass clap. And just like I’d dreamt, the shit was crazy. If Chance wasn’t such a good girl, she’d be the perfect porn star. Not just ‘cause her body was well portioned, but because she was taking back shots like a fuckin’ pro. I went harder and her back stayed in a perfect arch, pussy pulled me in tighter, wetness dripped down my nuts.

Letting go of her neck, I held her hips and dug deeper, pounding her. The tip of my dick got sensitive, so I pulled out. I tapped my dick on her ass making it jiggle. Chance wasn’t playing fair. She was toting around pussy like this with a pretty face and a dope personality?

  Man...

“Put it in, True,” she whined, making her ass clap.

I couldn’t believe my Jelly could take pipe. Slipping my dick back inside of her, I bit down on my lip and gripped her waist. I slid her up and down my shaft slowly, but I made sure to hit the bottom of her pussy every time.

“That feels so good,” she threw it back. “True…”

“Fuck...” I held her still by her hips, but she still fucked me, ass clapping. I closed my eyes. “Fuck...”

“Mmm...” Chance whimpered. “I’m ‘bout to cum.” I let her do her thing and she came not too long after. Her body froze and then she dropped her head down on the counter. “Shit.”

I felt my own nut rising. Going deeper, I let go of her hips and wrapped both hands around her neck. She moaned louder but took the dick like a big girl. Grinding slowly, I licked the inside of her ear. I wanted to pull out, but the way Chance’s pussy was set up...

“Fuck.” I nutted and bit down gently on her earlobe.

  Damn...

  Took my peace of mind…

  Chance

I turned my car off and laid my head against the headrest. After the night I’d had, tired was an understatement. True and I went two more rounds before he left awkwardly. When I woke up, Rel was still in my bed sleeping, but as soon as I cleaned up his mess and handled my hygiene, I showed him right to the door. He didn’t even remember being sick.

Now, here I was, sitting outside of Granny Ann’s European-styled home. How could I look in her eyes knowing the things I’d done with her grandson? My best friend. I pulled the visor down to look at my reflection. Despite the fact that I’d been up majority of the night slash morning, I looked well rested.

Guess good peen does that to you.

I dropped my head into my hands. I’d screwed True. The one man I just knew I’d never cross that boundary with. What if the
entire dynamic of our friendship changed? What if he looked at me differently?

Starting my car, I decided I’d meet up with True’s sister, Love, another day. We were supposed to have gone to work out, but I wasn’t in the mood. I closed the visor and was prepared to back out of the driveway when True’s Hummer pulled in behind me.

  Really?

Putting the gear in park, I sighed. From the side mirror, I watched True get out of his car and shut the door. He swaggered towards my driver’s side just as his passenger’s door opened. When my eyes landed on Nisha, I was floored. I was in absolute shock and utter disbelief.

True stood outside of my window so I pressed the button to roll it down.

“Wassup?” He eyed me. “Where you goin’?”

My eyes shot back to Nisha who was standing off to the side waiting on True. When I faced him again, he looked off, ran his hands across his waves, and then cleared his throat.

“Love said y’all were riding out to Oak Park before you go work out.” He faced me again.

I stared at him. “I’m not feeling too good, so I’m going to my parents’ house.” I needed a girls’ discussion with my mom and a hug from my dad. My feelings were officially crushed.

“What’s the matter?” True rested his arms on the door and then leaned into the car. “You need me to get you something?”

“No.” I paused to look him over. “But you can move your truck.” Putting my car in reverse, I waited from him to get away from me.

But he didn’t. Instead, True’s face hardened and his shoulders tensed. “What you mad at me for?”

“True...” I sighed. I wasn’t in the mood for him or Nisha because of the aching feeling in my chest. My mommy’s bed was calling my name. Thank God she always kept Kleenex nearby.

He shook his head. “You wanna talk?” He leaned closer. “If you wanna come in, we can—”
