“I’m not convincing you. I’m seducing you.” Eve pouted sweetly.

Blood. The way she pouted—that was even sexier.

“Whatever you want to call it, darling heart. But no teeth. You’re not gonna talk me around that one.”

“Teach me, then?” She pumped her hand up and down the length of my shaft slowly and a little too tight for comfort.

Even that had my blood boiling with lust. Teach her?

Oh, I’d teach her all right.

“Softer grip. Stroke me up and down, nice and gentle at first. Not much sensation along the shaft, except for…here.” I curled my hand around hers, adjusting her grip over the raised knobs at the base of my cock. “Move my foreskin up and down over those and…ah. Fuck. Yeah, just like that.”

“Like this, huh?” Eve smiled up at me, obviously pleased with herself as she took over. “And if I wanted to use my mouth on you? All teeth, right?”

“You’re a rotten little thing.” I laughed, but my joking, jovial attitude was becoming a little harder to keep up while she was stroking me like that. Just the right amount of pressure. Just the right speed. It made my balls tense up and my cock throb in her hand.

“Oh.” Eve blinked, then grinned as she made me throb again. “Oh, wow. I really like that.”

“You liked it when I did it inside you, too,” I reminded her. “Now, if you wanted to use your mouth—”

“I do.” Her eyes were suddenly serious. Deeply serious. “I really, really do.”

“Open up wide, then.” Nine hells. I’d never been the authoritarian type, but this…this wasn’t about domination. This was something else. Something oddly…intimate. Teaching Eve how to please me…I’d had plenty of females in my time, but I’d never had one so eager to learn my body like this before. “Make your lips into a soft little O and keep those fangs pulled back behind them. You bite me, I’ll take you over my knee and make you regret it.”

“I don’t think you could make me regret anything with you.” Her eyes narrowed. Playful. Sinful. Moons. “Maybe I want you to spank me.”

“Maybe when you’re done, I will.”

“Promises, promises.” Eve shaped her mouth the way I’d told her. “Like this?”

“Mercy.” I had to close my eyes just to stop myself from coming then and there. “Yeah. Like that. Just like that.”

“Then I take you into my mouth…like this.”

Her lips slid deliciously over the tip of my cock. She pressed her tongue against the flat of my cock head, swirling it as she lapped up a slick pearl of precum. When she tasted it, she moaned.

  Moaned.

“I’m gonna pass out,” I muttered, bracing myself against the tree at my back.

“What?” Eve pulled her mouth off of me with a pop. Her tongue slipped out from between her lips and licked up a little strand of precum that lingered on them. “Did I do something wrong? My teeth?”

“No, vringna.” I laughed in disbelief. “I don’t think you’re even capable of doing anything wrong. Not when you’re lapping at my cock like that.”

“Mm. Good.” Eve smiled, then dove back down on me. This time, I didn’t need to instruct her.

This time, she figured everything out for herself.

She stacked her fists on top of each other. Between them, she moved my foreskin up and down my shaft so perfectly it made my knees go weak—and I was a soldier. That was no easy task. She kept her lips focused at my tip. Every time she swirled her tongue around it, licked and sucked and moaned, I felt a little more in love with her.

In love. That was it, and I knew it. It wasn’t just that my heart was connected to my cock. It’d never been like that before I met her, anyway.

  Not before her.

“Slow down,” I grunted in half-ecstasy as she moved one of her fists away from my shaft and gagged as she tried to replace it with her lips. “There’s a lot of me to work with, vringna. You don’t gotta try to take too much.”

“I want to, though,” she complained. “I want all of you.”

“Greedy thing.” Moons be damned. I was the luckiest soldier on this planet and any other. “Relax your throat, then. Ease yourself into it.”

“You make my jaw ache,” she purred as she nuzzled up and down the length of my cock she was planning on swallowing.

  “Sorry.”

“No.” Eve’s eyes were serious again as they met mine. “I like it. I like everything about you.”

  “Everything, huh?”

“Everything.” She licked her lips, then prepared to take me between them again. “More than like.”

This time, her lips inched down my shaft slowly. She gagged again and withdrew, then redoubled her efforts with a growl and a sigh. This time, her throat relaxed enough just to accommodate me. She was hot, wet, so tight it made my balls ache. I wanted her so bad, I could feel it in my teeth.

As her mouth pumped up and down my shaft, my balls churned with seed. I was half sick with need. Desperate for release.

“Eve,” I gasped. It was all the warning I had time to give her. I gritted my teeth and took the back of her head in my hand. I couldn’t help myself but thrust into her mouth—and, enthusiastically, she swallowed me until she was kissing her own fist.

My cum shot down her throat. One rope. Two. She gulped it up like it was the most delicious thing she’d ever tasted and, remembering myself, I pulled back just enough to send the next two shots of my seed gushing onto her tongue.

“Mm. Mm.” Her moans were gentle, but greedy. She sucked me hard, slurping and sighing. Even when I was done, she kept pumping at my cock until she’d squeezed out every drop—then stared up at me, triumphant, with a grin so cocky it made something snap inside me.

  Something devious.

  Something dark.

Something just as greedy as she was—and now that she’d taken what she wanted, I wasn’t going to deny myself the chance to take what I wanted, too.

“Hot-cunted little bliyet.” It was a filthy word, but Eve had my heart pumping so hard in the wake of my orgasm, I was feeling pretty filthy myself.

I took her throat in my hand and pushed her down into the dirt so fast, it stunned us both. But there wasn’t room in my brain to process what I was doing. Especially not by the time I had her thighs parted and caught the scent of her.

Hot, wet cunt. Slick and ready for me. I gave her a deliriously hungry lick, then moved one hand to her shoulder and the other to her soft, soaked sex.

“Mine,” I growled. I folded my body over hers and crushed her mouth beneath mine. She tasted like ripe summer berries, salty and sweet from the honey of her pussy as I tangled my tongue with hers. “Mine.”

She gasped when I pressed my fingers into her. I was unhinged, and her body responded so perfectly it was impossible to stop. I had her hips bucking for me in an instant. Her moans were muffled by my kisses.

When she came for me, she screamed so gorgeously against my lips that my heart stopped, then shattered right along with her.

We were both panting when it was done. I slid my fingers out of her pussy and sucked them clean, then stole one final kiss. When I pulled back to look down at her, I half expected her to slap me.

I would have deserved it, too.

But instead, she stared up at me with those beautiful hazel eyes of hers, blinked, and let out a small laugh of disbelief.

  “Wow,” she breathed. “Wow.”

“Wow yourself, precious.” The next kiss I gave her was softer. Gentler. There was sweat on her brow when I shifted my lips to her forehead. I kissed every bead of it away, then moved to her hot, flushed cheeks and gave them the same treatment.

I wanted to kiss every inch of her. Every damned millimeter of her skin, I wanted my mouth on.

“Are we staying, then?” She wound her arms around my neck and pulled me close. Hugged me tight. “Did it work?”

“Oh, it worked, all right.” I laughed and buried my nose in her hair. Her scent was addictive. All I
wanted to do was breathe her in. “But next time, you take my cock in your mouth because you want to. Not because you’re trying to get something out of it.”

“It was a little of both,” she admitted. She kissed my ear, then gave me a nip. “But…duly noted.”

“Mm. Good.” I took her hair into my fist and pulled her back to meet my gaze. “You liked it, though?”

“I did,” she admitted. “Did you?”

“If you’ve gotta ask…” I grinned like a baz-terd as I rolled her body on top of mine in the grass. “Then I obviously need to show you again.”

Her giggles mixed with moans as my cock stiffened between her thighs all over again.

  A life here on Edon…

I smiled up at Eve, and she smiled back down at me as we got to work.

As long as I had her, I’d give her any life she wanted.

  I’d give the universe.

I’d give her a whole new world. Just hers.

  Hers and mine.

  Eve

That night, I slept more soundly than I ever had. I could nestle my shoulder beneath his arm like I’d been made for him. Gallix’s body fit perfectly next to mine. In all my dreams, I was flying—but when I woke up wrapped in his strong, thick arms and his scent, I finally felt completely grounded.

Soon, I knew I’d feel completely safe, too.

“Mm. You’re so warm.” I cuddled in closer and raised my head to rub my cheek against Gallix’s.

“Someone’s feeling frisky this morning.” Gallix leaned into my cheek and nuzzled me back. “I already agreed to talk to Ronan, you know.”

“I know. You’re just…mm.” I purred and moved my cheek to the little space between his jawline and shoulder. Another perfect fit. “Especially good today. I don’t want to do anything else. Just this.”

“If we’re going to stay here, we won’t be able to luxuriate all day, you know.” Gallix pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “We’ll need to build you that hut, for starters. Engineer some running water, maybe… I’d kill for a shower right now.”

“Why?” I pressed my nose against his neck and breathed in his scent. Gallix smelled different when he was sleepy like this. Warm and dark green, like the softest, most luscious grass. The kind I could rest my head on all day long. “You smell amazing.”

“Don’t feel too bad either.” Gallix chuckled. “You learned pretty quick last night.”

“I had a good teacher.” I smiled and wound my arm around his waist. I couldn’t possibly be close enough to him right now. “I’m feeling good too.”

  “Hungry? You barely ate yesterday.”

“Ugh. No. I don’t think I want food right now. Not until we know that we can stay.”

  “Still queasy?”

“Just a little. My period must be on the way or something.” I grimaced as I felt out the weirdness in my gut. From hip to hip, my body was tense and tight like I was bracing for a smack from the Vulture’s baton. And my stomach…ick. I could probably manage water, but I didn’t have an appetite for anything else. I moved my thigh up across Gallix’s hips, trying to find a more comfortable way to lie. “Being close to you makes me feel better, though. Maybe I could go out with you again today?”

“Not on an empty stomach. If you’re gonna march with me, you’ll need food.” Gallix wrapped his hand around my calf and stroked downward. When he reached my ankle, I winced and hissed. “And better boots. Ronan’s going to need his back soon, and they’re murdering these cute little feet of yours.”

“Cute, huh?” I stretched my leg out and wiggled my toes for him.

“Too cute.” Gallix captured my foot in his hand and dove toward it. He placed a kiss on each of my toes, leaving me giggling. “Much too cute to allow you to destroy.”

“I could wear a pair of slippers, I guess…” The limitations of my wardrobe here were annoying. Even if most of my clothing hadn’t been destroyed in the fire, I hadn’t exactly been fitted for a jungle exploration outfit before we left Earth. I guessed it was just one of the many things we were going to have to find a way to work around if we were going to stay.

“I’ll figure something out—and talk to Ronan, too.” Gallix gave my foot a gentle bite, then pulled himself up off of our bed of moss and leaves. “In the meantime, vringna, you need breakfast. I’m not taking you out into the jungle on an empty stomach. If you faint on me, I’ll have to carry you back.”

As much as I liked the idea of Gallix carrying me, I knew he was right. We needed to rescue Marisa, and that was already hard enough without having any idea of where she was even at. If I couldn’t hack it with Gallix today, we’d be wasting even more time.

Time that Marisa might not have to lose.

I moved to the fire where Ora was humming to herself and boiling some of the eggs we’d foraged yesterday.

  “Hungry?” Ora asked.

“Not really. But Gallix is insisting.” I knew whatever was going on with my stomach was a little bit of a problem but compared to everything else we needed to do to secure our future here, it was hardly at the top of my list.

“You two are cute together.” Ora plunked two more eggs into the boiling water. “Has he told you that he loves you yet?”

  I blinked. “Um…no. I guess…I mean, we haven’t known each other for that long…”

“Fourteen days here? Plus the one before we crashed, that’s fifteen.” Ora shrugged as she added more kindling to the fire. “All we’ve been doing is getting to know each other. Aside from finding food, fixing the ship and looking for Marisa, there hasn’t really been anything else to do.”

I didn’t know why, but I was feeling insecure all of a sudden. In my romance novel, the hero and heroine had been saying I love yous since chapter three. They hadn’t even hesitated about it.

  But up until now…

The lack of I love yous between Gallix and me hadn’t even seemed strange to me. He told me he cared about me every time he saved me from whatever stupid trouble I’d gotten myself into. Every time he looked at me when the danger was over and told me don’t scare me like that again.

But caring wasn’t love. Those two things weren’t so different from each other…but in one important way, they definitely were.

“Has Pax told you?” I asked, curious.

“Well…” Ora shot me a bubbly smile. Back in the work camp, I’d seen her smile so infrequently, it was almost strange that I was seeing it more and more these days. Not bad strange. Just…different. Good different. “He told me last night, actually. While he was showing me around the ship that he’s fixing for us.”

“How’s that going?” I asked. I knew what I wanted the answer to be. Badly. Very badly. So badly that it looks like we’ll never leave. I didn’t want Edon to be a temporary stop on our journey to Lunaria anymore. I wanted a home here.

The faster the ship was fixed, the less time Gallix and I would have to convince the others that we needed to stay.

“Pax is a good mechanic…but it’s not looking good,” Ora admitted. I tried not to look too happy about that, but in my stomach, something was fluttering with joy. “The other ships were made on all kinds of different planets. Some of the parts are compatible… some aren’t. Honestly…we’ve started talking about the possibility of staying here. Is that crazy?”

“It’s not crazy,” I assured her. “Gallix and I have talked about it, too.”

I knew how hard Pax had been working to get us home, so I didn’t want to sound too keen on the idea. Nonetheless, this was giving me hope. If Pax and Ora already wanted to stay too, then maybe we wouldn’t need Ronan’s approval. I knew Lunaria wasn’t a democracy…but whatever we had here could be.

Here on Edon, we could build whatever kind of society we wanted. Not a corrupt government where money and class ruled all like in the sectors. Not a strange, convoluted monarchy like the one on Earth, either.

We could build something better here. Something good.

  “Can I tell
you a secret, Eve?” Ora scooted a little closer to me. “Something that might…kind of change things? For everyone, I mean.”

“Of course, Ora.” I took her hand in mine. “You can tell me anything.”

“I missed my period,” Ora whispered. Her cheeks were flushed. “Ever since Pax and I…well. You know. I’ve been counting. We’ve been here fourteen days. I should have had mine last week.”

  “What? Are you sure?”

“Unless being here on Edon somehow changed my cycle because of…I don’t know. The gravity, or something…” Ora shook her head. “I don’t think so. I can feel it, Eve. It’s like…it’s like I know.”

I drew back a little. I didn’t know how to process this. Not yet.

Could Ora actually be pregnant? I might have grown up without any real education, but I’d also grown up surrounded by women. I knew the basics of how this kind of thing worked. Gallix had never pulled out of me when he came. After a colorful life of sleeping with alien women he couldn’t procreate with, I wasn’t sure it had ever even crossed his mind.

And if Pax had been of a similar mind when he’d slept with Ora… there was every chance that she was right.

“You won’t tell anyone, will you?” Ora gripped my hand a little tighter. “If I lose it, or if something happens…I don’t want anyone else to know.”

“I understand. Your secret is safe with me.” The only person I had to tell anything to was Gallix anyway, and this wasn’t exactly something he needed to know.

  At least, not yet.

“Thank you, Eve.” Ora threw her arms around me and hugged me tight. “It feels so much better now that at least someone else knows.”

  “You haven’t told Pax yet?”

“I’m still trying to think of how to do it.” Ora shifted her hand over her stomach lovingly. “But I think he’s going to be excited. It’s the most incredible feeling, Eve.”
