“Why don’t you go straight to the room?” Bob suggested, “And I’ll follow along with two brandies.”
Carrie was sprawled naked across the bed on her belly with her legs crossed and pillows stuffed under her chest when Bob entered the room. “Love the view, Carrie,” Bob teased as he brought her brandy to the night stand. He stopped to drop a kiss on her ass before collapsing beside her on the bed.
“Nothing like a good book to get your mind off things,” Carrie commented before she sipped her brandy. “This one is a PI story and he really uses his computer to do most of his investigating. I could do that for you, Bob. It would be fun getting the scoop on that timeshare company for you.”
“Well, that’s not a bad idea. I bet Jose’s cousin would have a computer at his car dealership and could do the research for us,” Bob replied. “I want the family to do most of the work, Carrie. Let’s not get involved until we have to.”
Bob stood walking to the sliding glass door. “What would you prefer, Carrie, sleeping with the door open so we can hear the waves or turning on the air conditioner?”
“Let’s try leaving the door open for tonight. I’d like to hear the ocean,” Carrie yawned as she turned over and pushed the pillows up behind her head. “I promise not to say one word, Bob, but I sure will keep my ears peeled to hear anything the workers say tomorrow.”
“That’s my girl. It would trouble me deeply if we did anything to jeopardize your safety.” He pulled her into his arms so her back was close to his chest and their legs spooned one another. “Let’s see if we can get some sleep.”
Chapter 4
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the sliding glass door as Carrie woke to sea gulls crying in the distance. She lay on her side with Bob’s arm around her waist. Feeling his chest rise and fall, she lay still just to enjoy the closeness. Cuddling was one of her favorite things about relationships. She could put up with a lot if her man was a snuggler, and Bob’s body was perfection for her; warm and lean so it wrapped around hers like a glove. She sighed and tuned into his breathing so she could match it. Just as she was dropping off again, she felt his body stir moving his arm and stretching his legs. He slowly returned to her warm cocoon pulling her butt right up to his morning hard-on as he kissed her shoulder.
“Good morning, love,” he murmured while he rubbed his cock against her rear.
“It does feel good – and hot, too,” Carrie chuckled as she teased him with her butt strokes. Reaching behind her, she took his penis in her hand and squeezed it, only stopping when there was a knock on the door.
“Breakfast is here,” announced Jose tapping on the door.
“Give me a minute,” Carrie called, jumping from the bed and pulling on her halter dress from the chair by the night stand. Bob rubbed his eyes, stayed in bed pulling the sheets over his waist.
Carrie smiled as she opened the door, “Good Morning, Jose, that coffee sure smells good.” He walked into the room and placed the tray on the end of the bed.
“I’ll leave you two to your breakfast,” he said, “Bob, you can find me in my office ordering supplies if you need me.”
“Okay, we do need to go over some things,” Bob replied, “I’ll catch up with you later.” Bob shifted on the bed as soon as the door closed, and stroked his penis through the sheet while Carrie poured coffee.
“Here you go, sweetie,” she turned handing him his cup. “Oh, you gift-wrapped it for me,” she hinted looking down at the rise in the sheet.
“You’re not the only modest one in this room,” Bob quipped, throwing back the sheet to expose his hardened cock.
“Hot coffee and hard cock, what a combination,” Carrie grinned and took a big sip of coffee. “Wait till you feel my hot mouth on your hot cock,” she joked, pushing him back on the pillows. She took one quick sip before taking his cock into her mouth and pressing her tongue on his head as her lips slid down his shaft. She sipped again and buried her mouth on his red swollen member.
“Oh-h, that is nice, Carrie, I love the heat. Do that again,” he urged softly.
“It does feel good, doesn’t it,” Carrie agreed, “I like it, too.” She took another sip of coffee holding it in her mouth before swallowing, and then quickly took his cock deeply into her mouth. She licked her tongue up and around his shaft while she squeezed his testicles.
“Man, that feels so good I could come,” Bob moaned as he ran his hand through Carrie’s hair. He stroked down her back and brought them back to her ears where he massaged around her lobes.
Carrie smiled taking another sip of coffee, “I feel your penis surging in my mouth. What an erotic sensation.” She swallowed taking him one more time as her hand worked to press his cock down while she stroked up. Carrie worked his lower cock and balls with her hand while her mouth suckled on his penis head.
“Come here, baby, I want to taste you,” Bob urged her up on her knees surrounding his throbbing shaft. He kissed her and her mouth opened to let him inside.
“Can you taste my coffee?” she quizzed as she nicked at his bottom lip, then returned to give him her tongue. As they kissed, Bob worked his hands to Carrie’s waist and lifted her so she could rub her labia on his heat. Back and forth she moved feeling her wetness on his shaft. Just rubbing his hot cock sent shivers down her spine. She watched Bob’s nipple graze her breasts with each movement. Then he took her breast fully into his mouth. Flicking her lightly with his tongue, he suckled hard on her breast. She moaned and lifted just enough to fill herself with Bob’s cock. Carrie came down slowly until she was fully seated.
Leaning forward, Carrie gave Bob her breast and moved only her legs in short, quick strokes. She panted as Bob moved to her other breast and began thrusting up to meet Carrie’s strokes. She brought her legs inside Bob’s and took her weight on her arms so she had a long, tight stroke. Up and down she moved feeling her climax climbing. Bob grabbed her around the waist and pumped with her until they both groaned in pleasure.
Carrie brought her head down to gently bite Bob’s shoulder. “That was wonderful,” she murmured before rolling off his stomach to catch her breath. Bob lay heaving but threw his arm on Carrie’s body while they came down from the intimacy. “Our love-making is always good, but that was really special,” Bob said, “really special.” Carrie squeezed his hand and just lay quietly until her breathing stilled.
“Do you think those eggs are still warm?” Carrie asked as she stirred.
“I don’t care if they are or not,” Bob replied, “I’m starving, we worked up an appetite.” They both scooped up the tray and uncovered the dishes.
“So, I know you need to work with Jose this morning,” Carrie said, after her first bite of scrambled eggs. “Maybe, I’ll go explore the beach before the sun gets too hot. Why don’t I meet you at the palapa around mid-morning?”
Bob bit off his piece of bacon and nodded, “Sounds good. Maybe you should take your camera.” He looked out the sliding glass door at the water. “It might be a good day to try snorkeling, the water looks calm today.”
“I’ll give it a try,” Carrie replied, “but I’m not making any promises.” She touched Bob’s hand. “I tried snorkeling one time and I felt trapped under the water. It was not good.”
Bob nodded to reassure her and turned to open the nightstand drawer pulling out a pad and pencil. He finished his last piece of toast as he began writing notes. “Concrete, front desk, call car dealership,” he read the notes aloud as he wrote. “Is there anything else?
“Hot water heater,” Carrie added, “Very important for female guests.” Carrie pushed away her plate standing to get dressed. She pulled a sarong from her bag wrapping it around her neck. Stuffing the camera and straw hat into a bag, she threw her book on top.
“Don’t forget a bottle of water, Carrie,” Bob coaxed, “It’s easy to get dehydrated.”
Carrie gave him a light kiss and said, “Thanks, sweetie, “I’ll pick one up at the bar on my way out. See you later.” She headed
down the hall to the bar when she noticed children playing just outside the lobby. Walking through the front doors, she greeted a young Latin boy bouncing a ball with one hand while he ate a mango with the other. “Buenos dias,” Carrie said as her glance took in the older boy with his two younger sisters. She could tell right away that these were Jose’s children. The son had the dark hair and eyes of his father.
“Hola,” he murmured quietly. Jose walked up behind Carrie and spoke to the kids in Spanish. Carrie watched as the son replied.
Jose turned to Carrie and asked, “Marta sent the kids to invite you and Bob to dinner tonight. She’s making a special meal with the goat they prepared yesterday.”
“I would love to come,” Carrie responded, “We did the same thing on the farm when we butchered a pig. Be sure to tell Bob when you see him but it sounds great to me.” She waved to the children as she headed toward the beach. The sun was out and a morning breeze blew off the ocean so it was a perfect day for exploring.
As she walked down the beach, Carrie pulled her camera out of her bag and looked around for a good shot. She stopped, turning slowly to see if anything caught her eye before continuing her walk toward the rock formations. Once she turned the corner to the stretch of private beach, she gazed toward the palm trees until her foot stepped on something in the sand. “Ouch” she muttered as she looked down at the object under her foot. It was a lanyard sticking out of the sand. When she picked it up, she saw a security card from Bahia de Los Muertos. Someone had dropped it on the beach. “Hmm-m” Carrie mused sticking the badge into her bag. “I think Bob will want to see this,” she murmured to herself.
Wading into the water to bathe her foot, Carrie continued down the shore looking for shells to give Jose’s kids tonight. Hearing a flock of birds crying, Carrie lifted her head to the sky. They floated across the water and landed on some driftwood. Carrie raised her camera and opened the telephoto lens. She stood very still knowing the least motion would scare them.
“A red egret,” she whispered as she snapped a shot and then another. She focused the lens and looked left and right to see if anything else caught her attention. Noticing a pile of palm fronds behind the driftwood, she focused again curious to see more detail. “That’s interesting,” she mumbled, “The fronds look like they are covering something.” She took a photo and stepped forward to take another when the birds fluttered rising to the sky. Looking up she watched the birds fly out to the ocean.
Walking toward the driftwood, Carrie trained her camera on the pile of fronds once more. Through her telephoto lens, it looked like they were being used as cover. She quickly snapped a few shots and turned to go back to the motel. Carrie walked a little faster until she saw the rocks up ahead. Her heart slowed down and she paused to catch her breath. Something suspicious is going on down here, she thought, and we only saw one little part of it.
As she walked up the beach, Carrie paused at the little blue cabin where they had watched the men enter. She snapped a couple of house photos just in case they were needed later. Returning to the motel bar, Carrie grabbed a bottle of water and took it outside to sit under the palapa. As she approached, she could hear workers on the roof tying off the palm fronds. She sat quietly but couldn’t understand their chattering since they were above her and the loud music made it impossible to understand their conversations.
She had just picked up her book and started reading when Bob walked up. “Did you enjoy your walk on the beach?” he asked joining her at the table.
“Sure did, and I found some nice shells to give the kids tonight. Did Jose tell you that we're invited to dinner?”
“I’m game if you are,” Bob said, “It won’t be like any meal here at the motel.”
“Don’t worry about me, senor,” Carrie quipped, “it can’t be worse than chitins, which I grew up with on the farm.”
Carrie stood and touched Bob’s arm. “Can we go to the room for a minute? I got a great shot of some red egrets that I want to show you.”
“Sure, I finished my business with Jose. Now, I need to check at the desk to see if Dave left a message. They should be arriving soon. Maybe we can have lunch together at the palapa.”
Walking up to the front desk, Bob was greeted by a young male working the computer. “Good morning, Pedro, have you received any calls for me this morning?”
“No, senor, we only had one call for Jose from his cousin.”
“Pedro, as I recall you did some repair work last year at the blue cabin where Mary lives. Have you seen her lately? I'd hoped to say hello.”
“No, senor, she has a boyfriend living with her now and he does all the repair work."
“We walked down the beach yesterday and it looked like the house was closed up,” Bob chatted as he carefully watched Pedro’s reaction.
“Si, senor, Mary has returned to San Diego to see her doctor, and her boyfriend, Miguel, is with his family in Mazatlán while she’s gone.”
“Well, I had a busy morning,” Bob commented as they walked into motel room. He checked the sliding glass door to make certain it was closed and he turned the air conditioning on so no one could hear them. Carrie listened as she pulled the lanyard out of her bag. She held it in her hand while she waited for Bob to finish his news. “We called Jose’s cousin and chatted about Mary’s house. Jose thinks her boyfriend is using the house at times when Mary is not there so we need to check him out.”
“Look what I found on the beach,” Carrie said as she held up the lanyard. “Take a close look at the name of the place- I don’t recognize it, do you?”
“Bahia de los Muertos,” Bob repeated as he turned the card over. “Yes, there’s a big resort there with a championship golf course. I wonder if it’s owned by the same company who wants this motel for timeshares.”
Carrie brought out her camera turning it on. “I actually saw some red egrets this morning,” she commented as she brought up her preview function, “And I want you to see what else I noticed.” Handing the camera to Bob, he scrolled through the images. “Does it look like those palm fronds are covering something?” she asked.
“Sure looks that way at first glance,” Bob nodded. He kept scrolling and saw the blue cabin. “Why did you photograph Mary’s cabin?”
“It was pure instinct, something told me to capture it on film since it was part of the total picture. It might come in handy later,” she added.
“Well, it is mighty interesting to discover that someone from fifty miles up the road was hanging around on this beach. It’s not so easy to get here by road from Los Muertos so it’s possible this belongs to one of those guys we saw the other night." Did they bring that boat down the coast to pick up something? He mused to himself.
“Questions and more questions,” Carrie replied, “That’s the way it goes while we’re gathering information. Let’s see, I learned in therapy to simplify things into one statement - Lights have appeared late at night, men came to the beach in the dark and took something from Mary’s cabin while down the beach something may be covered by palm fronds. How does this tie-in with the timeshare company’s offer to Jose?”
Bob looked at Carrie and then stared out at the ocean. “Hearing you say that sounds like sabotage. I wonder if the timeshare company could be playing dirty hoping to scare Jose into selling. If so, we better tread lightly because we don’t want to get Jose’s family involved in something nasty.”
“Whoa, cowboy,” Carrie said, “Jose’s family was involved the minute the timeshare people approached them. It’s not your job to save or protect them. We just need to keep searching for more details and turn this over to the local police. Does Jose know anyone he trusts in the police department?”
Bob smiled and kissed Carrie’s forehead. “So, I’m a cowboy, am I? I guess that makes you my cowgirl.”
Lifting her lips to his for a kiss, she whispered, “I’ll ride you anytime” then kissed him hard and quick.
“I didn’t know you were in therapy, Carrie,” Bob said cas
ually as he pushed her hair behind her ear.
“I’m not now but I was a couple of years ago,” she explained snuggling to his chest. “I needed some answers about myself so I worked with a therapist. I couldn’t understand why I felt so driven. She helped me figure it out.”
Bob pulled her closer to him and said, “Your energy is one of the sexiest things about you, Carrie. Look what you achieved today just taking a walk down the beach. It turns me on to just watch you sometimes.”
Carrie chuckled and hugged him before drawing back with a smile, “That’s sweet, Bob, “maybe it’s easy for you to handle because it’s in short doses. You know we have to go home tomorrow night.”
“But not right now,” Bob countered, as he stood and twirled her around, “Right now, let’s go see what Jose can find out about that timeshare company. I think it’s at the center of all these little mysteries.”
Carrie held onto Bob’s hand as they left the room and walked down the hall. “Should we be worried about Dave?” she asked as they crossed the lobby.
Bob thought for a minute and shook his head, “No, he’s a big boy. My guess is that his lover wanted to stay in the city where’s there’s more action. They’ll show up this afternoon.”
Jose just walked out of the storage closet in the bar as Bob and Carrie strolled in. He noticed the way they looked at each other and was happy for his friend, Bob. He wondered how long this one would last. It had been awhile since a woman had come with him on these long weekends. He crossed the room to meet them at the bar.
“The front desk told me that your cousin called,” said Bob, “Do you have time so we can call him back? I’ve got a couple of questions to discuss with him.” “Sure,” Jose agreed, “just let me put these things away and we’ll go to the back office.”
“This may take a few minutes. Can you order us some lunch and we’ll eat in the palapa?” Bob asked Carrie while they waited for Jose.
“Oh, alright,” Carrie grumbled as she shook her head, “I understand we’re in a different culture, but I wanna be there, too. I can help, you know. Research is what I do.”
