“I want you to come,” she whispered, “Your juice is so hot it sends me off. Don’t hold back, baby, give it to me,” she begged as she lifted her legs to take him deeper.

Bob rose up on his knees and spread them to widen her opening. Massaging her breasts with his hands, he began a slow thrusting in and out, in and out of her center. Carrie encouraged him with her low groans, “That’s it, I want you.” Carrie watched as the muscles in his body tightened and she squeezed his arms before moving to his nipples. “Oh, they’re as hard as your cock,” she exclaimed. She rubbed across his nubs and smiled up at him, “Now, you can be my animal.”

He threw his head back and growled as he moved hard and fast spilling his seed with final thrusts. He bowed his head to catch his breath. Carrie could feel his heart pounding under her hand. They both throbbed from the power of their lovemaking.

Bob rolled to the side and brought Carrie with him so his arms were around her waist. She could feel his heavy breathing on her back. She lay quietly with her hand over his. Her body hummed with satisfaction. She thought back over the evening and was pleased that Bob had worked through his wine moment. She knew what thoughts of self -doubt felt like from her writing. It actually comforted her that he recognized her creativity. She did give his life new excitement and she was happy about that.

She turned to face Bob touching his face gently. “That was a helluva ride, cowboy.” He grabbed her hand and squeezed it. “You can put me out to pasture now, ma’am.”

“Seriously, Bob, I want you to know I’ve never had sex like this before with anyone. When I first met you, I was attracted to how bright and accomplished you were. I love intelligent men. But, I think I have to move sex to the top of my list now.”

Bob touched her chin with his hand, “It won’t be like this all the time. When a work problem comes up, I can be a bear. ”

“Then we’ll have bear sex rolling around on the floor grunting,” Carrie quipped. “I’m not naïve, Bob; I know relationships have ups and downs. I do believe if our passion stays this strong we’ll find compromises that work. It’s a lot of give and take.”

“I don’t have a good track record, Carrie, and I’m telling you now because I do love you. I put work first and it requires travel. I may not be around when you need me. And if you complain, I can throw up walls.”

Carrie stretched over his body, pinning his arms with hers and looked into his eyes, “Any other secrets you want to share while I have you captured?”

“No, I’m being serious. For this one moment, I’ll be honest and give you a chance to walk away before you’re hurt badly. I care that much about you.”

“So, you’re a man of honor. What happens if I’m not scared of your flaws, Bob? None of us are perfect.”

“Then, we see where this goes. I will do my best to give and take.” He rolled her over and smothered her with kisses.

  Chapter 16

Three days later Bob laid the phone back in its cradle. He stood and paced the room. “Not now,” he complained, “I don’t want to go to Chicago this weekend.” His brother, John, had called laying on a guilt trip that he hadn’t seen his aging mother in several months. But, he knew the real reason John was luring him back to Chicago. He wanted Bob to return to the family enclave. His immediate family had not accepted his divorce and move out West.

He poured himself a glass of Scotch looking at his work calendar. If he moved a couple of appointments, he could manage a three day weekend. It would give him a chance to spend time with his kids. He better make another call to arrange that. As he reached for the phone, it rang. When Bob answered, he recognized Juanita Lopez’s voice calling from the motel.

“Hello, Senor Roberto,” she said. “I have some good news to report.”

“Excellent, Juanita, “I want to hear all about it.”

“I watched the security camera tapes and it shows Miguel and Pedro entering Mary’s house at night just as you saw when you were here. So, I began chatting with the other maid and the cook about Pedro to see what I could find out about him. I also followed him after work for a couple of days to see how he spends his time when he’s not at Pleasure Cove.”

“What did you find out?” Bob asked curiously.

“Miguel has been living with Pedro for the past few days. He hangs around the house in the day time, but goes out at night. I followed him to The Spa Motel where he met someone in the bar. I did get photos of them that I’ll send with my first report. ”

Remembering Pedro’s conversation, Bob said, “Then Pedro lied to me when he said Miguel was in Mazatlán. Why is he covering for him?”

“My guess is that Miguel is working for the timeshare company and Pedro is his accomplice,” replied Juanita, “But I have to find proof of that. I’m going in tonight to scan the motel computer and see what I can find. If Pedro sent any emails from work, they might tell us something more specific. I’ll also check file access dates. If Pedro is copying motel files for Miguel, the dates might help us build a timeline.”

“Good work, Juanita. Is there anything you need from me?”

“No, things seem to be going well for the motel. Alfredo brought down some fishermen so the motel had a good weekend.”

“Write down this cell phone number, Juanita, just in case I’m traveling. You must be able to reach me at all times. Jose had hoped you could do your work within one or two weeks. Does that sound reasonable to you?”

“I’ll know better after tonight. If I have to follow both of them it might take longer. So far Jose has left me alone and that’s exactly what I need to do my job.”

Bob ended the call and finished his drink. A happy note to end this day, he thought. I wonder if Pedro is being used, or if he’s a willing accomplice. Money would be tempting to a young man in a small village where work opportunities were scarce.

Carrie has just crawled into bed with a good book when the phone rang. She looked at the phone and recognized Bob’s number before answering. “Did you call to kiss me goodnight, my love?”

“Of course,” Bob replied cheerfully, “How’s my girl?”

“I’m all tucked in after a long day of writing.” She laid her book down and brought the phone up to her shoulder, “Do you know any good bedtime stories?”

“Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess who let down her golden hair …Or did you want something else?”

“Rapunzel, you’re cute, Bob. I wanted you to tell me how much you want to kiss me all over. Remember that call from the beach when you missed me?”

“Well, that is true but I called to share some news. I heard from the private investigator today.”

“Good, a spy story. Tell me all about it. I love the sound of your voice over the phone.”

“It seems that Miguel is living at Pedro’s house so everyone thinks he’s in Mazatlán when he’s really in the village having night-time meetings. Our security camera has caught Miguel and Pedro going into Mary’s house again at night.”

“Why?” Carrie asked. “What do they need that’s in Mary’s house?”

“We don’t know the answer to that, yet. Juanita is going to work tonight so she can check the motel computer and see if Pedro is sending emails or scanning files.”

“Does Mary have a computer in her house? Maybe they are forwarding the files from her computer so there’s no trace of the activity.”

“That’s good thinking, Carrie; I’ll ask Juanita if she can check out Mary’s house. We never got around to it.”

“So, what else is new in your busy life?” queried Carrie. “Will we have some time together this weekend?”

“I’m not sure, Carrie, I’m waiting to hear from my kids in Chicago. My brother is pressuring me to fly back and be with the family for Mother’s Day. I haven’t seen them since the holidays.”

“I see,” Carrie replied slowly, “and Mother’s Day is not the time to introduce a new woman into the mix because it's family time.” She let out her breath slowly.

/>   “I’m sorry, Carrie, but it would just be awkward. I have never taken anyone back home with me. It’s been over three years and my mother still asks about Diane.”

“I only have one question, Bob. When will it be right to move on with your life and bring someone new into the picture? I think you have to make that decision. It’s possible your family will stay where they are until you initiate the change.”

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you, Carrie. I told you last weekend that I’m no good at relationships.” Carrie could tell that Bob was getting defensive so she took another breath staying calm.

“If you’re honest with yourself, this is not about me and you, either. It’s about your family controlling your emotions so they can keep you in their fold. You deserve a chance to build a new life, Bob, and I bet your family can accept a new partner if you tell them it makes you happy.”

Shaking his head in disbelief, Bob chuckled, “You nail me every time, Carrie. I admit I have kept every relationship from them. It is just easier that way. I have my life in California that I keep separate from my family.”

“This is where we try some of that compromise, baby. How about this – If things go well with us, you will include me the next time you go to Chicago?”

Breathing a sigh of relief, Bob agreed, “That might actually work well. My brother is having his over the hill fifty birthday party at the local country club in July. I would love to take you. You’ll be the prettiest gal there.”

“Now, see, that wasn’t so hard,” countered Carrie. “Give them a chance. Maybe they will like me. I know my parents will love you, Bob, especially if you go bird hunting with my Dad and compliment my Mom’s cooking.”

“Why don’t you come spend the night with me tomorrow, love? We can have an early weekend together. I would love to be with you before I go away.”

“Now, you’re talking. That would be wonderful. I can drive down early and write at the beach. I’m finishing a solar energy marketing report this week. It’s real exciting stuff.”

“Good night, sweetheart, I’ll see you tomorrow,” Bob hung up and stared at the phone. That went much better than I expected, Bob thought. She didn't even try to guilt me.

  Chapter 17

Taking down his bag from the overhead bin, Bob walked off the plane in Chicago to catch a taxi for his brother’s home in Forest Glen. He had invited the kids to join him for dinner so they could also spend time with their cousins. When they get bored with me, they will have each other, he thought.

Bob sat around the dining room table looking at his family. His brother, John, was at the head of the table while his wife, Lily, orchestrated the entire meal with her usual upper class. The chandelier sparkled and the china glittered from the candles. It was so different than the casual style he had grown accustomed to in California. He wondered for a second how Carrie would fit into this picture. He was fairly certain that she could charm Lily, but his brother John was a bit of a curmudgeon. Just like his father, Bob realized, but he’d never hurt his brother with that remark.

“Bob, you look fantastic,” Lily commented, “That California sun has given you a tan.”

Smiling at his sister-in-law, Bob leaned forward raising his glass to Lily, “And you are a beautiful hostess as always, Lily.” He watched his children and was proud of their behavior. Diane was doing a great job. He’d have to send her a note about this evening and thank her for that. He was thrilled to see them and also aware they were growing up so fast. His oldest son, Tom, was leaving for college next year.

The next day he sat in the nursing home holding his mother’s hand. She was admiring the fresh flowers he brought her for Mother’s Day. “Diane always did grow the best lilies,” she remembered.

“I picked these flowers just for you, Mama. I got them at the farmer’s market this morning,” Bob explained. He squeezed her hand reassuringly.

“Where are Diane and the kids?” she asked.

“They will come see you tomorrow, Mom,” replied Bob. "I wanted this time with you alone because you’re my best gal. I live in California, now, remember?”

“Oh, yes, you explained it to me. Are you happy out there alone?” She studied his face for his reaction. They had always been close since he was her baby boy.

“Yes, Mom, I am. I have a new woman in my life now. The next time I come I will bring her by to say hello.”

“That’s wonderful, Bobby, “I just want you to be happy.” She laced his fingers with hers looking out the window. “Can you take me for a walk outside? We always did enjoy being outdoors together.”

As the house settled down for the night, Bob felt restless since his energy was geared to a different time zone. Wandering into John’s office Bob knew he would find a small library. But, he was stunned by the family photos he saw around the room. This has to be Lily’s efforts he thought studying pictures of the kids together playing in the backyard and at camp. He picked up a picture of himself pushing the boys in a swing. “It’s another lifetime ago for me,” he whispered to himself. Setting the frame down he walked around the room studying each photo.

I should bring the kids out to California this summer. They would love to camp on the beach, he realized. Shaking his head he reflected, Just like old times with a couple of new faces. It made him think of Carrie. He missed her. Glancing at his watch, he noticed it was ten in California. Maybe he could call to say goodnight. He pulled his cell from his pocket and dialed her number.

“Hi, Bob,” Carrie answered softly, “Wanna snuggle in bed with me?” Bob smiled at the thought. “Yes, I thought I’d call and say goodnight.”

“Ah-h, you’re a considerate man. It makes my toes curl. How is everyone in Chicago?”

“We’re all doing fine. My Mom is a little frailer and her memory is slipping. It’s a good thing that I came to spend time with her. I told her about you.” Bob hesitated to hear Carrie’s reaction. There was a quiet second before he heard her sigh.

“Thanks, Bob; it means a lot that you followed through. Did she take the news well?”

“Oh, yes, she only wants my happiness just as you said. Of course, she may forget what I told her tomorrow. I’ve been here in the library looking at old photos for the past half hour. It’s a walk down memory lane. Carrie, the kids are growing up so fast. I’m going to invite them to the beach this summer so I can spend a week with them at Pleasure Cove. Do you think you could take some vacation time to come with us?”

“Sure, Bob, we can work it out. I think it’s a great idea.” She glanced at her clock. “It’s still early for you. Did you go to the library looking for something to read? I bet there’s a big leather couch in the room where you can curl up with a good book.”

“As a matter of fact there is,” replied Bob looking slowly around the room.

“Good, go lie down on the couch. I’m just getting to a love scene in my book. Let me read it to you.”

Bob glanced around listening for any sounds in the house before lying down on the couch. “Okay, I feel a little weird, but I’m here, Carrie.”

“Close your eyes, Bob, and just listen to me,” Carrie told him in a husky voice. She began to read slowly.

“She entered the room silently. It was dark with only a streak of moonlight passing through the windows. She knew he was in the room. She could feel his presence. Her footsteps led softly to the big leather sofa where he laid waiting. Feeling her heart race at the sight of him, she whispered, “Bob, I had to see you one more time. I miss you already.” He opened his eyes and saw her standing in her thin night rail. He watched as she walked around to sit next to him placing her hand on his chest. She felt his pulse quicken at her touch.

“I must kiss you again,” she pleaded lowering her head to his. He returned her kiss slowly letting her set the pace. As her little moans swept into his mouth, he deepened their kiss bringing his arms around her. “When I come back, I promise to make you mine,” he whispered as he brought her to his chest.
>
“Please, I need these memories to fill me while you’re away. I want you to touch me and love me right up till the moment you leave.” She smothered his face with kisses and opened the nightgown to show him her full breasts. Cupping her own breast and bringing it to his mouth, she traced her nipple over his lips, “It throbs for you,” she taunted seductively parting his lips and cooing as he twirled the nipple with his tongue.

Bob felt his cock tighten in his pants and stretched out with his hand rubbing his penis. “Even your voice makes me harden, Carrie. “I want to hear you make love to yourself. Put that book down and tell me how you're touching your body."

Carrie held the phone for a minute and admitted, “I’ve never really done phone sex before. I’ve only teased about it. Maybe I could use the vibrator and pretend it’s you,” she whispered. Reaching into the nightstand drawer, she pulled out her vibrator. “Oh, I can pretend it’s dark and you’ll become my shadow lover again.” Turning it on, she held it up to the phone, “Hear your cock humming?” she teased as she began rubbing the vibrator in circular motions around her labia. She held the phone down so Bob could hear the moaning of its action. She spread her legs wider so just the tip of the vibrator entered her. She sighed into the phone, “Ah-h, there’s your magic.”

“Oh, yeah, talk to me, love. I can hear your little pants starting,” Bob encouraged her. He unzipped his pants and stroked his cock. “Use your imagination, Carrie. What are you doing with the vibrator?”
