Love Song to Simone

“He's missed you too, and so have I,” Jake told her as he walked into the room.
Simone couldn't believe that Jake was actually here. She quickly stood up to face him with a smile on her face as she ran over to him and threw her arms around him. They hugged each other closely. She then released him and looked up at him adoringly. “Jake, how did you know I was here?”
“Mel told me when I came looking for you. I had to see you. I know you didn't say goodbye that night, and perhaps you didn't want me around anymore but I couldn't stay away.”
“No, Jake I didn't say goodbye because I couldn't bear to. I felt like I would only be in your way. You had a whole new life and I had to let you live it,” she told him. “Jake, I had to let you go because I—I realized that I—I loved you too much to stand in your way.”
Jake felt happiness grow within him that he never thought possible in his present life. “Simone I have no life without you in it," he declared, "can't you see that?” he told her placing his arms around her waist. “I stayed away from you, Simone because I thought I would be a burden to you, but Mel told me that you hadn't been the same. That you seemed to miss me because you always asked him about my well-being and how I was doing.”
Simone started to shake her head. “So, we stayed away from each other because we thought it was best for the other one,” Simone surmised while seeing the humor in the irony of it all.
Jake started to laugh. “I guess so,” he said still seeing the humor in the whole situation but then getting more serious with what he wanted to say to her next. “Simone, I am going to have more plastic surgery soon. But there is still no guarantee that I will be...” his voice trailed off.
Simone put a hand to his lips. “I told you it doesn't matter to me; not in the least. All that matters is that we are together.” She stated, lowing her hand.
“You really do love me that much,” he stated with astonishment in his voice.
“With all my heart,” she told him with conviction.
He lowered his lips to kiss her passionately. Moments later he pulled her away. “Will you marry me, Simone?" he blurted out. "Will you be my muse for now and forever?” He asked in a tender, loving manner.
Simone felt a tear fall down the cheek of her face from pure happiness. “Yes, Jake, I will marry you. I love you so much. From this day forward you will write the songs and I will sing them, okay," she gushed. "We will be a great team. I am sure Mel will be all too happy with that arrangement. In fact, after you have your surgery we can come here for you to recover and may be in that time you will come up with some new songs. And, if I never told you before "Love Song to Simone” is probably your greatest composition to date. Of course, I could be highly prejudiced about that," she smiled. "I'm sure you still have a lot more great compositions ahead of you," she told him and laughed.
“I will have more than enough inspiration to do so as long as you keep looking at me with those eyes,” he told her before pulling her to him and they started to kiss each other once again.
