“No! There is only one thing you could do right now that would honestly calm me down!”
Rob's eyes went wide. “What? Tell me what it is, and I'll do it.”
Katie Lou just stared at him, trembling, and then she stamped one foot and uttered, “Ooooohhh! Men!”
Rob looked at her, completely confused, and then turned to the other two girls who were standing there watching. Anna and Kylie were leaning against each other, their heads almost touching as they stared at the couple. “What?” Rob asked. “What does she want?”
Anna and Kylie both cracked up laughing at the same time, their eyes wide and tears streaming down their cheeks as they laughed. “Oh, oh my goodness,” Kylie said, but it was Anna who came to Rob's rescue, like always.
“Bubba, she said there's only one thing you could do right now to calm her down, right?”
“Right, yeah. What is it?”
Anna shook her head, laughing so hard she couldn't even talk. She took two steps forward, grabbed hold of his arm, and shoved her right knee into his left so that he suddenly found himself down on one knee.
Rob looked up at her in complete confusion, as he finally got herself under control. “Oh, come on,” she said. “Can't you figure it out now?”
He stared up at his sister for another second, then looked at Kylie, who was nodding vigorously while she laughed.
He turned and looked at Katie Lou, then let a smile spread over his own face. He reached up and took hold of her hand, looked into her eyes and said, “Katie Lou Brennan—will you marry me?”
